Pretty sure I found its hide hole but the only inhabitant was a huge red backspider!
So... Apparently making phone calls while caching does not aide in the caching experience... Infact it really hinders it.
I'm on the phone to my uni placement supervisor, and the trees are pulling at my hair... I'm trying not to make any sound of pain, because that would just be weird...
Phone call over... And 20 minutes have passed (bear in mind, I'd already been to three other caches, dnf'ing one and the other two being overly mugglefied) I then find out that I'd been looking in the wrong place during the entirety of the phone call... Only like 2 metres off, but an important 2 metres...
Sigh... Finally the log is signed! Only an hour and a half after beginning my caching quest!

Out on a cold and slightly rainy day to find a couple
of caches. This one had us a bit tricked as the GPS
took us a little off course. Great park with lots of birds
which let us know we were interrupting their day.
Finally found, signed and replaced in its cheeky hide.

This was a pretty quick "target of opportunity" with rapidly failing light, after having done another cache (Ferromagnetism) nearby.
Having returned to my car near Farm Rd I thought I'd quickly check to see if there were any other caches nearby and this was about 60m from where I stood, so how could I possibly resist...?
At GZ I poked about for a bit without success, until I noted something that wasn't out of place, as such, but which as a cacher aroused my suspicions that it was a bit too obviously innocuous (is that even a thing?). Acting on my hunch I checked and was rewarded with the sight of the container in question.
Signed the log, thanks for the cache, Earthbound Chief.

Found it. Had a few spare hours to fill. After a quick flit around the DFO, it was out to the park to grab a cache or two
Found by geodad on a freezing but sunny day. Nice cammo as usual Earthbound Chief! TFTC

A family of Lorikeets didn't seem to be too impressed by my presence. I suspect that they have young in the tree hollow by the looks of the scratchings on the tree.
Cache found in good order.

A very enchanting park. The kids loved the stream and pond nearby, and were wandered around the smaller paths which geogirl called secret fairy paths. The cache was nicely hidden in great camo that blends in with the surrounds. Geodad retrieved it fairly quickly. Thanks!
what a lovely place,
thank you for showing me this place,
I enjoyed the walk around to two caches here,

Found it after meeting up with with 5venators, took us a while but found it. Was a redback spider with the cache, so be careful.
Out with Yorsys today, collecting a few caches in this area. This is a nice park, pity about the vandalism, we cannot understand why that needs to happen. Maybe the Council need to put in Hologram signs.
We didnt take a seat because the hordes of mozzies would have taken us away.

After enjoying a walk with Lazyade along the Secret Trail and Henry St Trail, we drove around to explore this lovely park before dinner at the nearby RSL. Good co-ordinates led to a quick find here. It really is a pretty park, particularly on this lovely spring afternoon. TFTC Earthbound Chief.
Found all 3 remaining traditional caches in the park after attempting the multi which has unfortunately also disappeared. Such a pity, lovely park, great facilities, why the vandalism??
Many thanx to Earthbound Chief

Nice little walk in a spot I never knew existed. Thanks for bringing me here and thanks for the cache.
While GZ looked like the place for a classic Earthbound Chief hide, I didn't have any luck finding treasure.
Another time, perhaps...

I had a few hours to kill whilst geokid was at the nearby airport so I loaded up the gps and off we went. Me and the geodog that is. Had a great time wandering through this parkland. We had a play on the agility equipment for dogs, watched some kids playing baseball and generally wandered and enjoyed what has been the sunniest and warmest day for weeks. Great day to be out caching and lovely spot to do it in. Thanks for bringing me here to explore.
Another great little cache like the other one in this park. Love the barley rap camo.
After some stocking up at the nearby American importer warehouse I thought it wise to find a cache for the calendar slot before the rain and (possibly) hail started.
Unlike some of the CO's other hides this was a quick find. Thanks for bringing me to the heath, EC!

Alas we scrambled and poked but did not find the elusive cache. Will be for another day
Visiting from New Zealand. Finding some caches this afternoon.
Another one here with nice camo and took quite some time to find it. Stinky tom made the find.
Thanks again Earthbound Chief

After rehearsal nearby, I ducked in here to collect a couple of smilies. What a beautiful spot! Thanks for bringing me here and thanks for the clever cache
We were out and about to get a birthday coffee for the old man, and needed a cache for the calendar date, so found ourselves here. We had found the original version of this one a couple of years ago, and after a quick search now have this one under our belt. Thanks for the hide and bringing us back.
Staying with family for Christmas, so a great opportunity to grab a cache or 2. While everyone was still snoozing Happy pants and myself, went for a short cache run. This was found after a short search. Enjoyed walking around the area.
Thanks Earthbound Chief for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Found while caching in the area, we managed a few finds in the area this morning and the area was lovely to walk around while we collected two close by. Thanks Earthbound Chief for the hide and for bringing us here.
Geohubby accompanied me to this area along with geohound and we could not believe the beautiful grounds. Never having had a reason to come into this area, we were quite impressed by the gardens and surrounds. SL and admired the area as we walked on. Thanks for the cache Earthbound Chief.
Our focus today was to find caches to help us meet the requirements for the Victorian Local Government Area challenge. This cache was in the Kingston LGA. Despite accurate coordinates it still took a few minutes of hunting before this well constructed cache was found. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache Earthbound Chief.
Having found a similar hide not far away my senses were finely tuned for a quick find. TFTC
Having to be at the local doc's around school knock off time (traffic!!), I was earlier then expected (light traffic!!) so picked up this nice cameoed cache. tftc
So on to the next one nearby. The co-ords were spot on so once again the cache was in hand pretty quickly. Another great natural camo in a nice secluded area away from Muggle eyes. TFTC EBC.
So many places it could've been. Luckily for me it had a dodgy looking spider keeping an eye or eight on the cache. So I picked up my geoballs, and managed to get it to climb on my pen to put him/her down safely. Once on the pen it quickly darted for my hand. My arachnophobia immediately kicked in and the spider and pen went flying. Don't know where to either. Oops, had to go back to the car to get another pen. Tftc!
Geokid 1/2 was playing hockey not far away and being a Friday night, we left early to make sure we got there in time. We had a nice easy run with the traffic so we were early and took the chance to walk around looking at the plants and admiring the dog agility equipment. Geokid 1/2 (a reluctant cacher) went to warm up with her team mates when they arrived, which left Geokid 2/2 (my caching buddy) and I with half an hour to grab a couple of caches, yay!
This one took us a little while. GZ was in the middle of the grass according to the iPhone and GPSr which left lots of options. Nothing in the obvious places and by now it was getting dark. After rechecking some spots, Geokid 2/2 rechecked somewhere I'd had a quick look before with her torch and her eagle eyes spotted something. After retrieving it, she confirmed she'd done it again and found that sneaky cache.
Thank you for a fun hide and a great way to pass the time

Out with the family I thought a quick grab of a cache with close parking would be perfect. However despite the parking being close this was not a quick find. I circled around for quite a while with the iphone giving me problems. Eventually I spotted something and the hide was revealed. Tricky little hide TFTC
Another great hide in this beautiful parkland. A quiet corner that you cannot really be noticed, but late Sunday arvo so a good time to be there when there isn't too many muggles around. Did walk around in circles a bit but was soon found. TFTC
Suscoe's 25th find of the day.
Getting a little cooler now.
A short walk to GZ and a quick find.
Thanks to the Earthbound Chief for placing this cache here.
A few doggie walkers about now.

I failed to find this back in January, and almost failed to find again today. Was on the verge of giving up as the hail came down, but eventually spotted it. Knowing other nearby Earthbound Chief caches definitely helps. Cache dry and in good condition. Thanks!
Here in the company of GJMMelb and quiet1_au. While the others started to look in the obvious locations, I checked the logs. They seemed to indicate excellent coordinates. So I went to where my GPSr said GZ was, and there was the cache! . TFTC
I think I've tried to find the previous incarnation of this cache as the area was very familiar to me - I failed to find it though it seems... Today, with regular caching friends lochb and G of GJMMelb we had a go at finding this new version. After searching GZ for some minutes in minute detail, I decided to widen the search area but to no avail as as I returned to the others lochb had already made the find only a couple of metres from the indicated location, so certainly nothing wrong with the coordinates, just our presumptions about likely hiding spots it seems!... TFTC
Found with Lochb and Quiet1_au. I washaving GPS trouble today so I was relying on others for the co-ords. After a look around. L and I headed over to a particular location where we saw a suspicious object. L was closer and made the find. Thanks Earthbound Chief

Second of five here today and took the longest to find. I thought I had an idea where this would be - couldn't find anything where my GPS was pointing to. Widened my search when something caught my eye. Another great camo job. TFTC!
Was here many months ago just after taking up geocaching. Could not find it but now it took 10 seconds.
Thanx.

We found this cache today at 2:50pm as number 8 of 17 on our Mulgrave to Mordi Afternoon. Caches of this type can really catch you out as there are hundreds of possible hiding spots here. In these types of situations, we always hope that the co-ords are good which in this case, they were. We completed the original cache a few years and over 3,600 finds ago. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Found with BernieH whilst waiting for the Monday night orienteering run. GPS placed us in the GZ and a low down search produced the cache. Nice hide once again Earthbound Chief. TFTC.
Out orienteering again starting from across the park.
Went for a wander before the start to warm up and bumped into rmhudson (also orienteering) and so off we went for a joint find. Rob came up with the goods today.
Thanks for placing this cache Earthbound Chief

Another small and nicely designed cache. Took a bit of looking amongst the shrubs.
Found 1/4 in this park today. This was a DNF. The area is simply in rubbish, making this a horrible place to search. Coupled with the rain and wet bushes, I didn't enjoy this hunt at all. I'll add it my watchlist and try again another day. Thanks anyway.

Find #665
On a tour of this park today and 3 finds out of 4 checked in total. This was the last one we tried and had a good idea of what to look for based on others. It still proved a little tricky and once I made the find I was impressed with the work that must have gone into creating a hide like this one. It is certainly much appreciated by this cacher. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache Earthbound Chief. I seem to have found a run of your caches in the area over this weekend. We had left the car near to this one so this completed our busy lap of the park to get back to here.

#538 TFTC... Sorry for the generic post, I am MONTHS behind in my logging. My process is to take a screen shot of the date and time on my iPhone, and then a screen shot of the cache page in the App and then when I get home, log it on the web site as I hate writing extended posts on my phone, but when I go on long holidays from Melbourne to Sydney to Washington DC and then New York and back to Melbourne I get a little behind on my homework. (I hate homework :p) I'm sure I picked up a few TBs along the way too, which I will be sure to log asap. Thanks again for the hide
It is such a busy time of year for a chef that I've hardly had any time for caching and then embarrassingly I forgot to log them. So sorry. This was a lovely park for a walk in today and this was another cache that didn't want to be found straight away. Only after a more thorough search did Natasha once again come up with the goods.
Thanks for the cool cache Earthbound Chief.
Thanks for the cool cache Earthbound Chief.
The last time Nut bear and I came to look for this one there were 2 very unfriendly dogs roaming around the car park. We waited for quite some time but no owners came so we decided against it. Today after great success at 'Flying High' we continued on our walk to this one. Once again it was only after a search of about 10 minutes that the cache finally revealed itself. It's so satisfying when these sort of caches are found.
Thanks Earthbound Chief for another great cache. The tree fern area was a lovely calm place to visit too.

Excellent camo job. Took a little while before coming up with the goods. Tftc!
My car was in for a service, so what to do for a couple of hours on foot - caching of course, and on such a beautiful day, it was a pleasant walk of just under 9 km for 3 caches. On my first attempt I spent close to 20 minutes searching all around, but all to no avail. Disheartened, I moved on to Harry Hawker for a quick find. On my way back I tried again at this cache and found it after another 5 minutes of searching. It certainly blends in well with it surroundings.
Thanks again to Earthbound Chief for the cache.

Arrived this morning in an attempt to clear the parkland of airport theme caches. Upon arrival at GZ, spent a lot of time walking round and round in the bushes following my phones GPS. In the end just got dizzy and frustrated. Left to try the nearby Harry Hawker AOM cache and after successfully finding that returned with renewed optimism with a fair idea of the type of hide I was seeking.
This time I used my image map rather than compass on my iPhone app and bingo! Found the sneaky blighter! Was so excited I gave myself a high five... Lone cachers tend to develop rather disturbing habits )) haha...
Thanks for the cache, great camo & delighted to add my list to the log.

24/09/2014 17:17 This was looking like being somewhat tricker so I employed the use of my Bluetooth GPS to assist in getting the accuracy down as low as possible. After confirming I was in the right location I tried picking up an innocuous object and was richly rewarded. This cache is very well done! Excellent camouflage and so natural. What a lovely part of the world. This is a great cache. Very well put together. Didn't take long to find!
Found this one quite easily after a quick search. Great cammo! Never been to this end of the park, thanks so much for bringing me here.

Pulling up at the nearby oval, I was pleased to discover this neat little hide. That is some nice construction, and with the good coordinates, it was found in the first spot I checked! That always brings a smile to your face.
