Another change in our plans for a overnight stop, with the weather that lille bit cooler, Power for some warmth was needed. Staying at the Bowls club for the night and driving around Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest.Total Caches Found 15930TFTC Austin&Vanessa
Sneaky little find! Extracted the log but not the cache. Originally attempted this one 2 days ago when we had 2 months of rain in 12 hours. By attempt, I mean drove there and refused to leave the dry of my car deciding to come back when the rain stopped!
Found. Staying at Jimmys Beach and walked over to Tea Gardens for lunch. Found the nearby cache. Took a while to find. Looking in the wrong place till I realised after looking at previous logs. Found it and also realised what the hint meant. TFTC
This was easier than I expected. Was with SLElliot who spotted the cache first. It was hard to get the log out of cache but we were able to get it out using my brand new log roller. Signed the log and put the cache. TFTC
How neat was that. With silly bugger whose deft fingers felt it. A good learning curve for me.TFTC
Sneaky find with Mobi702 and Terence TB. Had to wait for muggle fishermen to move on before signing and replacing, so enjoyed the view and pelicans.
For some reason I found this very easily, must have got lucky. First for 2024! TFTC!
Was a bit put off at first by the description and the updated coordinates that didn't put us anywhere near a possible hide. After looking more around geo husband found. Listed coordinates are pretty spot on. Nice hide and FP from me for the interesting location and hide.
TFTC AustinandVanessa. Great little hide. Didn't have a pen so couldn't sign the log. Photos sent to CO.

Using slim twigs as chopsticks, we managed to extract the cache as the sun set. TFTC. What a lovely area. Geodog approved.
Came over from Nelson Bay on the ferry on a sunny day. Checked out the fat bakers bakery. Swung by the old punt launch point (Tea Gardens side). After a quick search all around the clever hiding spot was found - very nicely placed - Austin&Vanessa.
Log signed and moved on with watchers nearby, none the wiser.
Great to be in Tea Gardens today - a glorious spot highlighted with this cache!
Cheers

First stop after coffee and that tick extraction. Few muggles nearby so we tried to educate them ??
The muggles could have made this a difficult find, but between us we got the job done

Found after coming over from NB on the ferry, not enough time to do any others. Thanks.
Tried finding this cache a little over a year ago with no luck. Staying at a friend's place in Hawks Nest we came over to give it another go. Success. TFTC Austin&Vanessa.
A nice quick find. Signed log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Austin&Vanessa. All good with this cache.
Log is full and our pen struggled on the waterproof paper but managed a purple line scribbled on the bottom. Also spotted what we assume was a wild dingo on the island across the water after reading a nearby sign. Found with Lauries4. TFTC
We looked in a few different spots before checking the updated coordinates. Even then our GPS was pointing us into a spot thoroughly devoid of hiding spots. Abandoning the gos we started methodically testing out likely hiding spots. Luckily there was very little foot traffic at the time. One promising dark shape turned out to be a massive spider, which gave the kids a bit of a fright. Good thing we had opted for the old stick test before reaching in.
We finally spotted the tricky hide on the way back to the car. Haven't seen one like this before, but it gives us some ideas for caches that have eluded us in the past.
Thanks for the Cache and short history lesson.

Stopped in here on our way to explore the Hawks Nest area. Thankfully spotted this clever little hide quite quickly, though did need a TOTT to extract. Enjoyed the lovely view of the wharf, boats and Singing Bridge. TFTC!
Went for a bike ride out to the headland and on our return decided to stop and grab this one. Had some pelican muggles wondering what we were up to. A nice hide. Thanks for the cache
A quick find as we spied dolphins and pelicans bobbing around in the nearby water. Signed as AP due to space limitations. TFTC
We had decided to lunch in Hawks Nest. On the way into town, we stopped to check this cache out. Mrs Dromaniax spied a dingo just as we were turning in. Not what we had expected at all. Once we had parked, we wandered around and worked out where the cache was. The trick was grabbing it without being seen by the many muggles around. We managed to do so and signed the log before popping the cache back in its place. The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Austin&Vanessa.
# 7621 On holidays from Canberra with iPlod and her family. Came here via speedboat from Nelson bay on a lovely day. A quick find and restash here.
Thanks Austin&Vanessa

Woah, haven’t seen one like that before, geo hubby radar was on par and find it after 5mns search without hint!
On a short break around Port Stephens, getting some geocaching in while here.
Really nicely concealed cache, quick find thanks to accurate coords. Log full but added another log.
Thanks for maintaining the cache.
Worth a fav for extra effort put into this one

Spent the day in Hawks Nest exploring and finding caches. Finally crossed the bridge to find some dinner, made the find here first. Easy find with the hint.

Foundi in! Very sneaky! I needed the hint, but it didn't take long after that. Very clever hide. Thanks.
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Log full and damp.
Dam we really overthought that! On a rainy Friday afternoon we were waiting to get a spot in the boat shed restaurant for lunch. We had to wait 15mins so what else would we do but do this geocache on a wet day! We got out and didn’t have much luck at first. We were hungry wet and annoyed as we were coming back from Yamba (so a long drive) we were about to give up until we saw something different. AHA! There it was! Don’t get to wrapped up with the tweezer situation we easily pulled it out from its hide. TFTC ️
Excellent clue! TFTC First time in the area for many years things have certainly grown. A new log is required for cache as it is very full. JenneG and Budgy Nth Nowra
With COVID limiting our holiday destinations to our own state, we opted for a weeks holiday at beautiful Forster in the caravan. With a few days spent exploring the area I was able to grab a handful of finds with the mini Rats over the week.
A clever hide that took me a few minutes to spot and equally as long to retrieve.
Thanks

First cache in a awhile, lots of police and ambos around with nine news for something we couldn’t see. Many muggles but eyes were elsewhere. Quick spot and grab, but had to wait awhile to return. TfTC

Spent a long time looking.
Edit: found it as I was leaving. Very small and cover hide. No tweezers required.

Tonight we called in here after having dinner. While the gps wanted me to head further down the ramp I soon spotted the cache. It took a while to retrieve the log but we eventually got it.
Thanks Austin&Vanessa for the cache.
