I found this cache as a member of the team LaMaLaMa (now: Mr_Lama).
Since the team unfortunately split up, I am re-logging with my new account Lærry.
I hope you will understand.
Furthermore I thank you for hiding the many great caches!
Of course I will leave a favo to each cache where the original account did it. If I forget a cache, you are welcome to write to me.
Best wishes, Lærry

As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Today we drove from Greymouth to Fox Glacier.
Our first stop was Franz Josef Glacier.
We also went to Fox Glacier. A really nice location for a cache!
TFTC!

Will try to get in here soon to see what's up. Feel free to visit and log in the meantime
This track was my today's highlight! I liked the view even more than from the viewpoint down in the valley!
Crossing the streams was relatively easy today, but definitely added to this adventure.
When I came to the lookout I found a group already there and noticed what was obviously a geocache's logbook on the bench. After they had left it was clear that they were not caches as the logbook was still there. I checked it and it belonged to this cache indeed. No container there as a short search proved, just a plastic bag...
Thanks for placing a cache up here! A very worthwhile hike!

Container is obviously gone as I found the logbook on the bench!
Placed logbook under the platform in it's aft left corner.

The track was rather hard but we were rewarded with a beautiful view from the lookout.

A very nice walk and although there was no real box, we left one of our personal AWCs here as the hideout seemed safe and dry.
The path was open today although the weather was not too nice, the glacier in the distance was hardly recognizable. Anyhow we had fun crossing that last river, where both of us had our little stunts (one on the way in, the other - stupid, cool, male one - showing how to avoid accidents - on the way back, while being filmed for additional awkwardness).
TFTC,

This is an amazing spot to sit and think about life. We were waiting for a large chuck of ice to drop, with no luck. Honeymooners Tom & Hayley. Ps no pen so no paper log.
It was a nice walk up there but the platform was full of muggles, who didnt want to leave :/

By far the best cache we have found in NZ so far. Surprised it doesn't have more favorite points! A difficult but short hike up to the cache but the views are AMAZING! I could have sat there all day and looked. Lots of helicopters going by and landing on the glaciers. So cool. Not many people on this trail, which is a plus, compared to the hike below. TFTC and for bringing us up here. Greetings from California!
Great walk to the forest and with an adventurous river crossing. The view is even better as from the Fox Glacier lookout. TFTC

here we are first time on the southern island of NZ and drawn to the glaciers we wanted so much to hike up here, and being real tourists, we thought, oh well it apparently rained the last 6 days , we will manage the path and the mill creek crossing.... ts he he he, real tourists we are ... no crossing of the creek, it was great to watch the powerful stream luring down...
we might come back, maybe in a couple of years
thx!!!

Found it without gps. Amazing spot! Well worth walking here from Fox village. TFTC
From Ohio, USA. What an adventure. Crossing the creek was the most fun.
Thanks swollibman for the fun.

Shinichi87 and I found this little one on our road trip around the south island. Our beloved Campervan Gimli took us in every little part of the South Island, so we could collect a lot of Caches

Found this with Kullerkeks90 after we visited the Fox Glacier. After we walked around the Glacier side we decided to tramp up to the lookout. We were nearly alone. The weather was beautiful and in the river was not so much water. Near the GZ we saw that the path barred. Then we realized another path next to it and we could reach the viewpoint.
TFTC and by the way TTF:-)

So near and so far... rain stopped us before creek. Maybe fortunately. nice walk through the forest.
Yeah!!! We are the first!!!
Made the walk from the town to this lookout and this cache was a great motivation.
Awesome Cache, awesome location.
Took a coin, left a coin.
Maybe a container would be better than a bag.
Cheers,
