This was our third leg stretch since leaving Brisvegas very early as we make our way to Mackay for a few days of caching.Nice easy find, log signed, and off on our merry way.Thank you, roganddiemeny , for maintaining this cache for the benefit of the geocaching community
wow A planned trip to Mackay for a caching weekend saw me leave a little earlier than expected. The plan was to cache a little on the way up, then cache Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a drive home either late Sunday avo or Monday morning.I met up with Snickersallan and Grannysmith1947 for the days of caching. Georode was to meet up on Saturday and Sunday for some kayaking. The drive up was good and we got to stop at a few caches along the way, these became our rest stops and toilet stops as well. We got into Mackay in time to grab a first to find as well. Sunday the rain came in and upset plans but we still got in most of our target cachesThe caches we found along the way were in good condition and we signed the logs and replaced as we found them Stops on the way up were in Gunalda, Childers, Rocky, and then Mackay. It was a long drive but worthwhile drive just the same and having a passenger does spur you along.
Managed to safely park up the geomobile to make a quick find. The cache container is in good order, tftc roganddiemeny
roganddiemeny I found your cache road narrows on 22/4/2024, 1:25PM. This is my find 6584 and find # 9 today. A quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
A most enjoyable long weekend spent in the company of La Kedi and The Marble exploring the Maryborough area and collecting a wonderful variety of cache types and hides. A last minute decision to detour out to Dickabram Bridge on our way home meant we were able to make a stop here too. Thanks for placing and maintaining this one roganddiemeny
Popped up to Maryborough with La Kedi and DisSister to do some power trails this weekend. A great way to spend our time this ANZAC weekend. TFTC
Found on a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious weekend collecting umbrellas and others over Anzac Day with DisSister and The Marble. On the way out to see Queensland oldest bridge, we stopped by this one because it seemed rude to drive past! Surprising number of cars using the road.TFTC, roganddiemeny. =^.^=
Assumed we knew where this one was and we were correct. It made for a quick retrieval. TFTC
TFTC smile 15410 out and about with miss millie geo dog on a lovely day Signed and replaced, sign as GS1947 on small caches
Thank you, roganddiemeny, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

A huge spider was protecting the container which of course flew a few meters away. After the spider ran away back I went and did sign it. TFTC
Nice easy find next to the road. I was worried I’d have to climb the bank. Tftc
I had a plan hatched today to visit my family and also find a few caches with a camping attribute to try and qualify for Geo Rodes september challenge that i only started off the month with 1 out of 25. I dropped my husband at the airport at 4am ( he was off to see the AFL grand final) and this was my fourth find and once at GZ i knew exactly where to go and bingo there it was. Thanks for all the fun
Thanks to the latest monthly challenge in Brisbane, September is all about caches near to camping… For me it means road-trips, plural, to try and collect as many as possible…
Patrol14 and I have a list, well I have a list, Patrol14 is just along for the ride, as she’s already got 327 of the required 25 caches for this challenge…
This cache wasn’t on the list, but going from one target to the next, this was a quick park’n’grab…

A new monthly challenge, another road trip with Peppa. When I got the message to say do I want to go on a road trip, our first plan was a 6hr drive to Thallon!! Hmmm... that's a bit far for a day, is there a Plan B? Gunalda near Gympie. That's doable. So an early start to try and beat the traffic up the M1 north. A stop at Gympie for food and toilet break, we are now here starting our search for caches with camping nearby.
This was not on the list that Peppa created, but was on the way to one we did need. Made a quick find, SL then returned as found.

Hi there roganddiemeny, we found your cache road narrows today.
A nice park and grab container in the logical spot.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log are in good shape.

TFTC. We decided to explore a little south of Maryborough. It looked like a good day to do some caching. We planned a loop to Gunalda and return. We were ok one way but we decided to abandon the return until next time. A pleasant couple of hours for 14 caches and exploring a new area.
Found with NutCacheBNE. The but drive up the side track for no reason, don't need to.
The name for this cache certainly tells us where we needed to look for the cache container. SL TFTC

Headed to Hervey bay for my annual pilgrimage to see my daughters on their first day of school for the year. Lucky there's a couple of hundred of caches between Hervey Bay and home.
This was cache **6** of **70** All caches were found with ease and in good condition unless otherwise said, and I thank each of the Cache Owners for placing and maintaing these caches. I apologise for the generic logs, it doen't mean the effort has not gone unnoticed.
Thanks for the cache **roganddiemeny**

We are having a drive out after a few rainy days picking up some caches in this area. The cache was found. Log signed and cache replaced as found. Thanks roganddiemeny for placing the cache.
Mr Wanderlust was hoping to run into Dumbo on his travels but sadly missed her today! Maybe another time.
While staying in Gympie for a few days with my Geodog Scruffy, we had to get out and find some caches in the area.

Nearly finished our little country drive for the afternoon, sad to leave the country roads soon and back on the highway south. Found some very interesting spots out here that we will brag about.
Another quick GR, although bigger than the average container for this type of hide.
Heard a train coming and went over to the bridge for a view. Got some nice photos of the freight train with the orange, yellow and green containers matching the colours of the landscape.
#15 for the day which ended at 16. as it turns out.

Out and about for another day caching from Kilkivan. Parked right up to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC roganddiemeny
I have been working in the area and decided that I should grab this cache prior to heading home.
This was an easy find when at GZ. Logs book was damp and deteriorated so I put in a sheet of water proof paper to give the log book a longer life.

Nice and big for a change so I am not hanging around on the side of the road for too long, looking dodgy.
Kilkivan Cache-up stay Day 2:
After an early start thanks to some squawking magpies, it was a drive up Mudlo followed by a meander through Woolooga, Miva, and Gunalda before heading south and visiting Lower Wonga, Glastonbury and Brooyar Forests and then Widgee before returning to home base.
A variety of great caches were found along the way, plenty of wildlife spotted and some amazing rural views enjoyed along the way.

Found on Sunday 30 Dec. 2018 at08:26 making #5,995.
Thanks for the experience **roganddiemeny**

Heading from cold Ballarat, Victoria to sunny Mackay, Queensland with the geo family and collecting a cache (or ten) as we go! Another quick find. Nice to get a few together! Many thanks for the cache.
As I crossed the bridge and parked a car coming the other way slowed down and wound the window down to check if I was alright. How nice are the people in this area? (Rhetorical Question)
Once they were gone I alighted the vehicle and started following the phone. I have a GPS as well but use the phone because I can look at lewd material online when I don’t find the cache straight away.
A nice quick find in a likely spot and I waited in case a diesel train came through but it was just me by myself breathing heavy. tftc

One more beautiful but hot day during my vacation in Australia . This morning I spotted a cockatoo on my balcony and some kangaroos in the forest , afterwards I searched for some caches and went to the beach . Life can be hard :-p
This cache I found quite fast Thanks a lot for the cache and all the best from Switzerland

The roads in this area have a nasty habit of doing that
And where the road narrowed,
a quick cache find was mine to enjoy,
while there were no trains to distract me

I drive to and from Bundaberg. A lot. My car GPS has caches on it, so as I drive I can see all the smilies I've previously found - and all those annoying little green boxes. Like this one. Almost right next to the road, and yet I have not had the chance to stop in recent years. Today I am blitzing Gympie to Gunalda, along the highway, to rectify this issue. Quick find at GZ.
Thanks for placing this cache, roganddiemeny. Found in good condition.

Heading north for the FNQ Wilderness MTB ride but decided to take a couple of days drving and caching on the way. Today's journey was Brisbane to Rockhampton. Thanks for the cache
Easy find where I expected. Took the smurf and left some animals. All good with the cache. TFTC
There was a huge freight train going by when I was doing this one. I had the log signed and was gone before it passed by.
Returning home to Maryborough after a one night trip to Brisbane, we found a few caches along the way to break the drive. We stopped at Gunalda for lunch at the pub and to find the nearby caches. TFTC
