A quick last minute run to Jaycar presented me with the opportunity to go and grab my last outstanding cache from this series. I tried to finish it off a few weeks ago but too many workers around the bollard in the construction zone prevented that. No issues tonight though, ending with a quick find at GZ. I was worried this one mightve been picked up already but fortunately for me its still in place ??
Thanks ThePacman for placing this Micro Wherigo - this is find 1516 for BFMC

Back today with teamashy prepared to walk. Parked the car in the middle and walked to the start of this wherigo. Worked our way along from bollard to bollard. A fence in the middle gave us problems, but my phone GPS was out so we managed to pick that up. After the last one got coords and headed to GZ. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
These bollards and wherigos were a labour of love for me - I adore the bollards and the history behind them, making them an iconic part of Geelong.
And these wherigos were the first part of my campaign to revive the great wherigo platform in Victoria (in January 2014 when these were published the number had dropped to just 4 caches with little trust in the platform - there are now 92 and they are growing exponentially).
Back in 2014 after publishing these bollard tours I presented several workshops on how to develop wherigos, and even had to present more basic workshops on how to just run the cartridges. Cache pages previously had to be detailed with instructions on how to load a cartridge - now all the cache pages need to have is a link to the cartridge as running a wherigo has become a pretty common task.
Thank you to everyone who trusted the platform enough to play them, and thank you for the many favourites on these bollard tours.

The Geelong Waterfront Bollard Whereigo caches were the target for todays big walk. I decided to park at #2 and grab a coffee for the first and third walks, then move the car for number 1 to complete the set. All three caches were found easily and I really enjoyed learning more about Geelong's interesting history through the eyes of the artist responsible for this installation.
One of the bollards is inaccessible due to construction, I walked up to a couple of crane operators and asked if I could get closer to the bollards - they said no, so I asked them if they would take my iPhone over to it to it until the screen changed. They looked at each other then one of them shrugged, grabbed my phone and walked over to the bollards; 20 metres away! The screen changed and I had to guess the answer to the question - thankfully it was a multiple choice response! Another favourite point added! My thanks to ThePacman for the cache.

A thoroughly enjoyable day achieving smilies on all three of these excellent #bollard wherigos. Bkj97's logs outline the adventure and my feet, calves, thighs and hips attest to the fact that I more than doubled my usual daily step count (as recommended for a senior citizen my age). Great day and lots of Geelong historical facts added to my memory bank. Favourite added by both of us for all three.
Over from NZ yet again and as we had a free day decided to have a bash at completing the three bollard whereigos if our aging legs could handle it. Little blue hen was keen to up her step count for the month and agreed to my plan of attack. Parked close to the start of #1 and worked our way to gz with no bother and were happy to complete the mission and adjourn for a coffee at a nearby cafe. Refreshed and caffeinated we started #2 as far as the pier before returning to the car and a lunch date in little malop St.
Food and a refreshing beverage on board we parked in a free park on the esplanade close to the salvation army bollard steps. A quick backtrack to the pier and the rest of #2 was also completed. Why not do the third. Indeed. Went well until we discovered the Scotsman had gone on vacation and it started to spit with rain. Retreated to the car but by the time we got back to the car the rain hadn't eventuated. Moved the vehicle back to the path above the Sunday School group and continued. Managed to sift through our memories and completed the task at the missing Scotsman before nailing the rest. Great camo at gz on #3 kept us thinking it was time to go back to specsavers for a few minutes but we got there on the end.
What a great way to learn a bit of history of the area. A well constructed and entertaining wherigo that will get a favourite from me and little blue hen. We thoroughly recommend all these three.

Enjoy the walk along the pathway and stopped at each bollards I've walked past many times.
Thanks The Pacman for interesting info about each bollards.

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for a fun cache. We signed the logbook FETT.
Found on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Unfortunately there was only enough time to complete one of the wherigos in this series this morning. Hopefully we can get back sometime for the other two.
Thanks ThePacman for the cache.

This is a brilliant Wherigo. I did number one yesterday and completed two and three today. It was a great day for a walk -not too hot, not too cold. I did not realise there was so much history associated with the bollards, I thought they were just nice pieces or art. TFTC a favourite from me for the history, the walk, and the fantastic camo.
The Bromance of Crookedpete, Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah were off to Melbourne for a long weekend road trip from Brisbane, with the main aim of attending the Parkville Mega as well as collecting a number of caches on our rather lengthy hit list. Today was our last day in Melbourne and we were shifting our focus for the day in a more southerly direction towards Geelong.
With all our access routes into Geelong blocked by street closures for a fun run we decided to headed even further south to Queenscliffe. After finishing our business there we headed back to Geelong to try our luck again. With the roads now cleared we were able to commence the hike along the waterfront to visit the various bollards along the way. Certainly a rather warm walk along here in the sunny weather today. No problems making the find at GZ. TFTC

So good to walk along here in the cool bay breeze. Finding tricky but thanks to good hint we got it!
Found on the Parkville mega event round trip. This cache added to the experience.
Thanks ThePacman. and clear skies from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Our plan today is to head to Geelong and collect all the rarer caches types before working our way back to Williamstown and then finishing by cleaning up the Parkville Challenge caches around Maribynong and Essendon. The target caches for the day were virtuals, earthcaches, some wherigoes, old caches to fill jasmer holes, unloved caches, rarer DT types to help with our next DT loops, challenge caches and the necessary qualiting caches for them.
Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I checked out of our mediocre 2 1/2 star (but cheap) accomodation to the north of Melbourne and headed down the freeway. A fun run event of some sort had shut down all roads around the waterfront in Geelong so we opted to continue on towards Queenscliffe and Point Lonsdale for some caches. Returning to Geelong, these waterfront wherigos and the virtual were our primary target for the day. It has been a few years since I was in Geelong sailing in the Race Week regatta. Some great foreshore improvements. Very busy here today - and hot! This was my favourite of the series, have a crooked favourite.
Some caches were signed "Bromance" to save space in the logbook. Thanks for the cache, ThePacman

Whilst in town for the Mega event I decided to target a few caches. The Whereigo caches in Geelong were very inviting so I spent the day down here grabbing a few of those, and a few others as well, in the company of Walter the Wonder Dog.
This was a wonderful experience for a tourist like myself. Walter and I had a great walk and stopped regularly along the way to enjoy the views.
Sadly after doing Tour 1 and 2/3 of this one Walter started to get a bit stiff and sore - he’s had some knee problems - so we headed back to the car.
I’ll be back with my family and no dog another time. I hope!

The Bromance from Brisbane Queensland consisting of Swellerfungus, seffhnjarah and CrookedPete all came by the three bollards today. A terrific walk along the waterfront and learning a little about what might have otherwise remained unknown and unappreciated. Thanks so much for showing us this great part of Geelong. Thanks also for the spoiler photos, otherwise they might have taken a while to find!
After yesterday's drive from Adelaide it was great to spend some time along the waterfront. Loved all the bollards and the history lesson. We didn't find the Scotsman on #3 but "tant pis" as they say where we live, the cartridge worked anyway.
Thanks for 3 well put together and enjoyable Wherigos.
FP for each one.

#60! (Also my first Whereigo!)
This was an amazing cache. As my first Whereigo I did not know what to expect and I was blown away by the outcome. Today was a beautiful day for caching and we were already out at the waterfront and I suggested this Whereigo. The Whereigo has amazing history, it was a great tour. I had no idea half of these bollards existed and I was glad to see some of the hidden away ones that aren't seen as often. The walk was a nice easy one and with the hint the clever cache was soon uncovered. Wow that's a good camo, I don't think I would have found that without the photo. Thank you so much for continually testing the Whereigo so that it runs smoothly, it was perfect. TFTC tour and cache

Having driven down to Geelong for the newly published virtual I decided to complete a couple of wherigos for a challenge which I am laboriously working towards completing. The nearest wherigo was, you guessed it, Tour #2 of the bollards series. A thoroughly enjoyable experience was had and may I say I wish all physical exercise was this entertaining. This, combined with another nearby wherigo resulted in about 6km worth of walking!
Now back to the wherigo. Well researched, humourous and therefore very entertaining. I was especially tickled by the set of political figures. Where else would you ever get a couple of socialists next to arch-conservatives? I think I shall put up a photo of them as well as some of the scenic views out to the bay on this clear day.
I'm awarding this cache a favourite point. I think this would've been my favourite wherigo but for Flights of Fancy. I'll be back on the weekend for (fingers crossed) at least one another bollards tour.

Not that many WhereIgo caches where I come from so time to catch up on those numbers. Loved the walk along the water, eventhough it was a quite chilly and cloudy day. Kids loved to do the whereIgo and all worked well for once.

In town for a family gathering and while everyone was having a sleep in, muggle hubby and myself took a walk onlong the water front, which was close to where we were staying. It didn't take long to down load what was needed to do this enjoable little adventure. We discovered so much about the area and Geelongs history, while enjoying these creative bollards. After completing the necessary task, we were given the co-ords, where a quick find was made. Given a fav for our enjoyment and work involved.
Thanks ThePacman for designing such a great wherigo for us to enjoy and find.

Competed the first Bollards tour, and decided to keep going with the second one considering it was such a lovely sunny day for a walk along the foreshore.
Loved reading about the meaning of all the bollards and their relevance to Geelong's history.

It has taken me ages to get around to doing these wherigo's. In fact I have been a bit slack as I should have done more than one at once. In the end it has taken 2 visits as we failed to find the micro last time. this time it was right between my eyes!
Thanks Joe for a great journey along the waterfront
A favourite point!

We did this tour last after a lovely lunch at a nearby cafe. Great walk and history tour. Many thanks.
I picked this cache up at 3:57pm. I have been recovering from hip replacement early in the year, and I finally feel like it's time to test myself with a few walks. This one seemed ideal. Nice and flat and heaps of places to pike out and be picked up if I needed to. I didn't need to though. I really enjoyed my stroll along the water front collecting these two remaining wherigos.
nirgalagrin and I had come down from Melbourne to the area for a couple of events, and also to complete a few specific tasks. Not many caches were collected today, but all tasks were completed and it was a great visit.
Thanks for the cache and the series ThePacman.

Muggle Annie, kenbryl and I headed this way for a day of frolicking fun (and a cache or more). The girls enjoyed finding the rabbits. Great cache at the end of an enjoyable walk. Tftc
In the area today with kenare and muggle Annie. We had heaps of fun walking along, finding and reading about the bollards. Great camo!! Tftc
Thank you for the sunny walk along the esplanade. We learnt lots about the bollards that we see frequently but never stop to look at closely. Nice hide at the end. A lot of effort in this cache- thank you!
Find #1183
I really enjoyed this Wherigo. I've seen the bollards on advertisements for Geelong but had never actually appreciated just how many there were. The idea of combining the Wherigo with a sightseeing tour was awesome. I learnt a lot about the history. As I approached GZ I appreciated the hint as there were a few joggers and I didn’t want to stand out any mpre than I already did. A FP for the experience and the hide. TFTC!

Love the bollards! I'd only ever seen the ones from the Carousel to Eastern Beach before. TFTC and Wherigo!
Having completed the two others in this series long ago, we arrived in town on this beautiful afternoon. We really enjoyed our walk and learning so much more about the stories behind each bollard. Thanks ThePacman, what a brilliant way to showcase another aspect of this area. Great cache camo too, a favourite from us. Found with Tomstache.
#1291 At Geelong today to have a look at the 2016 Wildlife photographer of the year exhibition at the National Wool Museum (closes 14/05/17). After admiring the amazing photos and having a look around the remainder of the museum, headed down to the waterfront to do this wherigo. Normally Geo-Son is the wherigo expert but since he has headed off to uni this year I was left to sort this one out myself. I am pleased to report it all went like clockwork although at stop #2 I think the answer may be missing (if it was on a stand) but a successful guess saw me continue on my way. I must admit I had never realised the extent of the bollards. I thought they were just in the main waterfront area. Also a very clear view of the You Yangs today (see attached photo) Found the cache (nice camo) and although the log was wet I was able to dry it pretty well and sign it due to CO using stone paper (which I first learnt about at a cache constructing masterclass he ran at the 2015 Melbourne event) . A fav from me and I also award myself a gold star for running this wherigo all by myself TFTC ThePacman.
Thanks for another informative Wherigo. Australian camo is so much better than English camo. I got dropped near No 3 as I wanted to finish in Eastern Gardens so I am getting a lot of extra exercise doing these 3 Wherigos. TFTC
17/12/2016 11:11:00 AM - The weather forecast for today was good and suggested ideal conditions to go exploring. That's if you like strong winds, cold chills and a speckle of rain in between sunny spells. I think we had every season and today I teamed up with Square_Pegs for a bit of caching and along the way I stopped here to find this cache with fairly decent co-ords.
This cache has been on the to do list for a while now so it was overdue turning it into a smilie. Great camo!
Thanks ThePacman for the adventure.

The bollards are such an amazing part of the foreshore here and this wherigo was an excellent way to see them.
A good cartridge and with everything working well we found the cleverly hidden container in no time.
Thanks The Pacman for the cache.

While in Geelong, I wanted to show hubby The Pacman style of Wherigo's. It was great to do another in the Bollard tours. Thanks and another favourite from us.
Geocaching with Bushfire, Aussie M & M and brisal5, under the name of GOTHs + 1. Today we had a plan.... find geocaches with lots of favourite points, pick up some we missed yesterday, enjoy the scenery... and of course have fun.
We had stopped and had a delicious lunch so it was time to try to walk of the yummy food. I have really enjoyed each of these Tours.
Thanks

Day 6 of my week long visit to Victoria.
Today our team was to be GOTHS plus 1. GOTHS being the Geocachers Of The HillS - a group of SA cachers. Myself, mogni and Aussie M&M were the GOTHS members and local cacher Bushfire was the plus 1 [:o)]
After the hectic competition of yesterday it was time to just pick up a few caches at our leisure. Caches with lots of favourite points, ones that seemed a bit interesting and a few others along the way were targeted
After a long lunch at the waterfront it was time for a walk! Another amazing walk along the waterfront discovering the meaning of these great carvings. And then another well camouflaged container.
Thanks ThePacman. Another great whereigo

KerriMG and I decided we had to do one of these so number 2 sounded like a good one to choose. We would have loved to do more but we needed to get to Anglesea by the afternoon.
It was a beautiful spring day and this was a great wherigo full on fun and interesting facts. (I thought the tram conductor was a man on first look).
Took lots of photos.
Nice camo at the end too.
If I get back to Geelong I will do the remaining 2 of these and search out ThePacman other caches as I have enjoyed all of them to date.

Here for the Surf Coast Event on the weekend and exploring this area using geocaching as a guide. Tonight we completed this fantastic wherigo, enjoyed the history tour of the Geelong bollards, enhanced by visiting the area at night, enjoying the atmosphere along the water front, and adding to our favourites.
We appreciate the effort gone into creating and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

By far the best whereigo we've ever done. Very professional, seamless. Awesome. Fav point, our group loved it. Tftc
A great cache for visitors to follow and learn about Geelong we only have time gor one but will try to get back for the others S favorite point for this one TFTC
After checking into our hotel we took off pretty smartly down to the waterfront for a walk. We were near the start of #3 but were headed the other way. All the way to the paddling pool way down the other end but we didn't get far enough to start #1. The kids were getting cranky so we turned back. We were able to do #2 as a family and it helped take the girls minds off the return walk, I think the ice cream may have helped too! As we neared the end they found some energy and were very excited at gz when we found the nicely camoed cache. Nice job on this whereigo.
Back down in Geelong today on a day trip to pick up a kayak trailer we recently bought. Of course we again made best use of the fuel spent, and found a couple of caches as well. We arrived early enough so that we had time to enjoy this wherigo and the walk along the beachfront that it took us along. The weather was cool and overcast, perfect for this activity today. We really enjoyed this wherigo and the information given about each bollard. Cache was found with no problems at all. We are certainly now looking forward to completing the other two bollard wherigos on future trips down this way. A fave from us for giving us such a fun and enjoyable experience. Thanks Pacman.
The third find on my **BIG** day of caching in Melbourne. I had some very specific caches in mind for this trip and it just so happened that I had a completely free day today to do what ever caching I wanted... wherever! The plan was to catch the train to Geelong nice and early and then do the 3 Wherigos on the foreshore of Corio Bay. Then I would collect the final of * Jail Break! ~ Geelong* and do *Flight of Fancy*.
After a morning of caching in Geelong, I was planning to head back into Melbourne to continue my hunt for Wherigos and Virtuals. St Kilda to Hawthorn to Camberwell and finally a run around the Royal Botanical Gardens. I also managed to get out to Fairfield to get my 6th Virtual for the day. All by public transport and on foot! It was a packed day with a lot of running around many suburbs in Melbourne. All up, I got 6 Wherigos, 6 Virtuals and 2 Earthcaches with only 1 DNF (Flight of Fancy). I covered almost all forms of public transport and walked a total of almost 30km!
With success on the last Wherigo in this series, I was quite hopeful of completing this one in reasonable time. I headed down to the starting location and then backtracked along the foreshore to collect the points. These bollards are quite cool! Just as with the last one, I had no issues completing the cartridge. And at GZ I was lucky enough to have the place to myself. I found the cache almost straight away in the second place I looked. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC ThePacman!

I went to GZ to replace this cache this afternoon as I had noticed it was missing during a maintenance check recently. Strangely, whoever took the cache was kind enough to return it in the meantime so the replacement wasn't necessary. We hear of trackables coming back from the dead, but it doesn't often happen with caches. Go figure!
We had a couple of hours to kill and since I had only attempted 2 whereigos I said we should have a crack! A very enjoyable whereigo, very well put together!

Can anyone tell me where the #1 bollard can be found it keeps coming up as cache not found. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong :/
We had a good time walking by the water and visiting with each of the bollard people. Plus it allowed us to find lots of other fun stuff to do.
We needed a good walk after a top dinner and this was a great way to do it. I really enjoyed reading the stories that went with each person/group and how they were important to Geelong. The Whereigos proved to be a brilliant tour guide.
I'd been looking forward to doing some of the Geelong Whereigos while on our brief visit. Surprisingly the family said we could work our way through this one after dinner. We had a great time exploring the area (with the geokids climbing everything that was climbable) and because we weren't really prepared for it, using our mobile phone lights to inspect the bollards for the required info. We learned so much about the characters of Geelong and the geokids remembered all of it when they were retelling the discoveries to family a week later. Thanks for the great experience Pacman, just wish we had time to do them all!
The geofamily were in town for just one night and the quickest way to get to know a place is via caching of course. The end of the walk was a bit eerie as it was down a dark and deserted part of the track, but all good in the end.
I've wanted to do these caches with the kids for a while, but we keep caching elsewhere! I started with #3 and thought while the rain was holding off... why not do #2 as well? Scootering on to the beginning of the journey. The path along this section is much better than #3. Lots more people though, with this being the main Geelong waterfront. I've seen most of these bollards before as a result. I hadn't noticed the bird guy before though. Nor had I seen the ones closer to gz. Again, I resisted the hint and found the cleverly camoed cache. Fp for a fanstastic location and WhereIGo. A great way to use the Bollards for a cache. Tftc.
Having completed Bollards Tour #1 a while ago, GeoMum and I welcomed the opportunity to complete Bollards Tours #2 and #3! We do like a walk along Geelong's waterfront and this was perfect weather to do it in. We've got the guide to the bollards, but I do like these tours as we probably took more time to appreciate each bollard.
Once we had completed this tour the GZ was easily found and the very well camouflaged cache retrieved.

Out on an easter morning bike ride burning off some of the chocolate that has been consumed so why not go caching! ended up racking up around 20km so all should be good for a while. Got 11 today so for me that's something to be happy with!
Brilliant, fantastic wherigo, definitely deserves a FP from me, well done ThePacman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided a while ago that the only way for an out of towner to get these was one at a time. Today was this one's turn and as others have said this is a good little series and the subject matter turns up a few gems! Found the sneaky hide in time to turn up to the event just a little bit late. My 50th Whereigo!

I had done Tour #3 a while ago and have been wanting to get back here so that I could do #1 and #2.
Today was an excellent opportunity as I was attending an event not far from the start of tour # 1, so when the event was virtually over, I headed off, I completed #1 and now I was on to #2
This is an excellent wherigo that is very informative and it is great to have a close up look at all of the Bollards.
After the wherigo was completed, I then headed off to the cache coordinates, after a short look around, the cache was soon found. I'm getting to know these Pacman camouflaged containers now.
**Thanks to ThePacman for placing this cache.**

Next time you see warning signs that read "Long delays expected on the Westgate", take our advice - find another way to get to Geelong!!! After two hours (or was it three, I lost track of time) of being stuck in traffic, we finally arrived at lovely Geelong. We'd had a few dramas with loading the Wherigo cartridges on our iPhones and had to do a bit of Googling as things had changed with the app since our last attempt, but once we figured out the workaround we were away laughing. We navigated our way from bollard to bollard, and enjoyed looking at the fancy expensive floating Christmas tree as well as all the different works of art that make this area a special place to walk and one of our favourites in Victoria. We had completed tour #1 on another occasion, so this time it was #2 and #3 that were both completed. We thoroughly enjoyed this series, thanks so much Pacman and we look forward to attempting more of your Wherigos. TFTW + fav point.
We had this on the radar for a while and as we just have to "fill our day" before our evening flight home it was an ideal short cache. It started with the occasional raindrops but once we logged the cache the sun came out. Coincidence? I don‘t think so

After the duisappointment of discovering that the Bollards #1 cartridge hadn't loaded properly into my phone I decided to proceed with what I had and take Tour #2. I thoroughly enjoyed inspecting all the bollards and learning a little of Geelong's history. Of course it was all capped when I placed my signature in the log. Thankyou Pacman for an absolutely splendid Wherigo. This gets a Fav from me.
We were going to start with tour #1 but swooping birds made us retreat back to the crowds. Loved the walk, even though it was dark by the time we finished. Very interesting and informative. I'd often thought that the bollards were just random figures, not based on actual people. A brilliant camo to cap it off. TFTC and the tour!
[blue]Find #351 Wherigo #4[/blue]
After completing the first tour, I decided that in the last percentage of the phone, we might just be able to grab this one. Arrived at the first bollard, learnt some history and then moved on. I liked the bollard orchestra! At the group of swimmers that chased ducks there was an issue where I was in the 10 metre radius but the information wouldn't get displayed. Although we excited that range and we moved on to the next step. I loved this wherigo and I really appreciate all the work that was put in to it. I loved the final hide. Well, better get back to the car and the charger before the phone goes flat!
TFTC ThePacman for a brilliant wherigo experience. A favourite point will be heading your way.
P. S. Also, thanks for the souvenir!
Cache was in perfect condition and is ready for the next finder.

Today I was grabbing a couple caches my way home after attending the 4 Months to the MEGA event BBQ. I've photographed the various bollards on many occasions but never really thought much about them until now. It was an interesting walk, one which I had to speed up a bit in the fading light. Less reading, more walking! It was completely dark by the time I finished the walk, and I was concerned I wasn't going to be able to find the cache in the dark, my phone having impeccable timing and going flat right as I completed the walk. It was all good though—I was surprised it didn't take too long to find the cache, and I was soon walking back to the car. Pity I only had time to complete one of these today, I guess it gives me an excuse to return though. TFTC!

Another awesome Wherigo. Had heard many good comments of this cache and others in the series. Did not have enough time for doing the others today but will be back soon. Impressed by the artwork and the foreshore in Geelong, first time to this particular area. A fun afternoon with icefoxy and a great walk in the sunny but chilly windy afternoon. Thanks for bringing me here today, favourite [^]

Each of the past couple of times that I've visited, I've declared that I'd be prepared and actually do some of the plethora of wherigo caches that have sprung up in and around Geelong. In anticipation of this year's WWFM event, I'd actually remembered to load up the cartridges on the smartphone, so that was step one.
So, to step two: Part 3...
I had completed the first and third tours in the series, and began this one just after sunset. That was not a problem, and I would have had to walk back to the car anyway. In fact, the only real hassle was that it had been nice and warm when I left the vehicle this afternoon, so you can guess where my hoodie was.
Fortunately, the temperature didn't plummet too rapidly, and I enjoyed the last tour to its conclusion with a nice easy grab at the end.
So, another WWFM weekend has drawn to a close... my cache count was not particularly high, but I've been to both sides of the bays, knocked off a couple of previous DNFs and enjoyed the company of good people while we indulged in our mad pastimes.
Thanks to all concerned for making it a fun couple of days, and especially to ThePacman, for this fun trio, and the chance to double the number of Wherigo caches I've completed. Well worth walking the full distance from Rippleside to Limeburners and back.
Now, if you don't mind, I've had about twenty minutes sleep since 7am yesterday... it's time to head home.

A lovely walk along the waterfront and very interesting finding out the stories behind each bollard. A really enjoyable cache. Had to admire the camo at GZ. Well done and gets a favourite from me.
Catching up on a few late logs (something not that unusual for me). As always, I enjoyed the journey to find the cache, mostly I have been in the company of Team Crackers, maccamob, alansee and the Coffee's, but occasionally I have gone out solo to soak in the solitude of being out in the fresh air.
Thanks ThePacman for placing this cache.

Travelling with micaparamedic this was the second of these great whereigos for us.
Unfortunately the rain was not kind on this one and even with coats on we got a bit wetter than we would have liked.
We enjoyed the info about the Poka, duck hunts and the poor old lady that had 9 collisions during her life.
What can we say except more great work and an excellent hide again so another favourite point from us.
Again many thanks Thepacman.

Out for a days adventure with MuggleWifeDoes gathering caches along the way as we traveled to an event in Geelong to celebrating 15 years of geocaching. We are targeting as many novel or interesting caches and 2014 Victorian Geocache Awards nominees as we can get to during the day.
That's 26 bollard sets now and the story is just as enjoyable, now I wait in anticipation of Tour #1 being re-enabled. Great day is still ongoing.

88andy88 and I spent the weekend with friends in Geelong and spent the morning planning our trip home via lots of "gotta-do's/wanna-do's".
Decided to do one of the Whereigos here. Nice walk & history lesson. Cheers.

So on this Sunday afternoon , OzHockeyChick and I were still on our journey back to the big smoke after visiting friends in Geelong , we decided to do our first real WhereIgo Cache .We did the introductory WhereIgo one night in a baseball oval in the pitch black and had a ball so when i came across this cache in my local search of the caches in the area we said we have to do this one. So we began at the starting point ,after some stuffing around with our phones to get the cartridge uploaded and set to play , and began the walk along the foreshore learning about the history of the area and the local maritime past and happenings. Each location had something slightly different about it and some had questions and some more information. Was an interesting self guided tour with help from the WhereIgo and at the end we had a short look around the GZ and OzHockeyChick soon found the hidden prize. Was an awesome camo cache and very safe from muggles and very clever. Thanks for the guided tour Pacman and TFTC.

We set out today to learn about wherigo caches. This was the first one we tried. We parked near the end and walked to the start, picking up a mystery dad had solved along the way. Mum and dad enjoyed the little history lesson, though the kids spent most of their time peering into the water, or finding something to climb on. We made our way easily from one point to the next, enjoying the walk along the waterfront on a very pleasant evening. The kids were fascinated by the large number of jellyfish we spotted, and even found a bright yellow starfish. We were soon finished each stage, and quickly found the cache - loved the camo! The plan had been to head back to the car for a drinks break, and maybe move on to the next tour, but we could already see the beginning of it, and just kept going! Thanks to ThePacman for the fun!
After finishing off tour number 3 I decided to head back and try number 2 because I enjoyed it so much. Only problem was I had to walk through all the bike race activities and even one of the bollards was blocked off. Luckily I had scene this on before so knew the answer needed to continue on. Fav point from me and TFTC!
Another wherigo this morning. We're getting to do quite a lot of these on this trip. For some reason they're not very popular near us in Canada - same with the virtuals you have quite a few of. This was a straightforward walk along the waterfront, but more interesting as a Wherigo with the extra information about each bollard than it would have been as a multi. Enjoyed the views and found the final easily. Thanks for all the work that went into this.
Spent the day exploring the Bellarine Peninsula and after the event in Queenscliff and the webcam cache there, and some others all over the place I ended up finding 8 different cache types! A new record only a few days after I set the bar at 6 in Melbourne. This trip is proving great for my geocaching stats! The caches were all very high quality and I have to say this is a pretty good area for geocaching.

Finally. I've been meaning to do these for some time. I set out around 7pm to do one of the wherigos but I ended up doing all 3.
After completing tour #1 I couldn't resist and continued on to #2 repositioning the car so I didn't have to walk back to the start. It's not often that I get to stop and appriciate Geelong and its water front so I took my time. Each stop was informative and well researched.

The thing I love about the Boxing Day sales is that it gives me carte blanche to go caching while the others are doing their thing. Today was no exception and having done #1 of this series a while ago, this and #3 of the series were the priorities.
Like #1, the Oregon 300 made its reappearance and again, saving the game caused a crash. So with fingers crossed that there would be no crashes throughout the journey, I was off to see the bollards on this glorious afternoon. Thankfully, the O3 behaved all the way so I finally had a GZ and not long after, the cache was in hand at 13:25. And sure enough, when I went to close off this one - crash! Not to worry, I had my quarry.
Yet another sensational journey and well worth a fave point.

We were around the town, killing some time before having to get ready for an engagement party nearby that night.
What better than to get one of the Bollard Tours done and dusted.
we wandered along, and very much enjoyed the information we learnt along the way.
After our wander I found the cache hidden away at the end.

On a beautiful Saturday morning, where would you rather be?
As I was in town this morning I decided to have a look at one of these new wherigo's.
After being beaten to be the first to put one out since Mr. EMU's, I was really interested to see how these cartridges were built.
I had picked the best day by far, there were people everywhere enjoying the slightly warmer than usual weather. Following all the points I made my way through the WPT's.
I had a funny thought as i was waling along the track. I don't even remember my way back! It felt like i was
walking to Corio!
Enjoyed the stroll never the less and added some much needed steps to the new fitbit.
After passing some particular bollards, I remembered the time when we were calibrating our projector on the front of one very late at night. They are not easy to project on as it turns out...
GZ was found within seconds of arriving and the log signed as people passed by.
Good job on a difficult cache to build. Hopefully we see some more of these around.
Thanks ThePacman for the cache
