Had to take a couple hour trip to collect a new camera so plotted out a route between caches. Thanks for putting one along the road.
Didnt find this one, looked in the Obvious spot right on 1 metre and was not there
Out and about today to collect some caches for some challenges and for a special challenge I have set for myself. I thought it was all going to end here today with a serious amount of rain and with no savers left it looked grim. Then while I am baby sitting a couple of kids, lol, I got a break. Heading over to deception bay and I saw a few caches that may help. Well, the first one was just too flooded out, the next was on the side of the road and a little scary to grab. We then found this one and tried our luck, it was there and was the only cache I got today. I signed the log and returned the cache as found and worked our way back to the pick up point. Thanks for the cache and the hide.
Judicious use of my phone camera saved me from having to insert my hands unseen into any unknown spots in search of this cache. Found, signed and returned without any interaction with creepy crawlies! Thanks for find #5277TNLN
Quick find but a long walk from Deception Bay - thought I could find a few short cuts but these ended in swamps and creek crossings! TFTC
I headed out in the geo-car for a few caches today.
Decided to hit a few around Mango Hill on my way home. (Just one more, right!)
This is my 2236. Cache was found on 26 Aug 2023 at 2:16 pm.

We made use of the U-Turn facility nearby and parked close to GZ where the cache was soon in hand. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Deception Bay Scouts.
Had business this way today, took the opportunity to log this cache as I passed.

I was able to make a u-turn and pull up right near GZ where I made a quick find during a break in the traffic. Thanks for the fun Clontarf Beach Scout
Clontarf Beach Scout I found your cache Stuck on the side of the road on 4/10/2022, 1:25 pm. This is my find 4317 and find # 7 today. A quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Couldn’t find, check a few likely spots but bush is very overgrown. Wasn’t it metal but either.
This afternoon, a trip was made to the Redcliffe Peninsula to Newport and Scarborough to grab a few geocaches, including a newly published cache. A nice was had around Scarborough Park just prior to a heavy rain downpour, and it was then time to make the drive home, stopping at a couple of last geocaches at North Lakes.
During my travel home, I thought I would make a stop at this cache. In the end, I managed to safely pull over just nearby to this cache in a small area that wasn't protected by a guardrail. The cache was a quick find in a logical spot, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape, although the logbook was slightly damp. There was also plenty of ants and eggs that had created a home along the sides of the cache too. Thanks Deception Bay Scouts / Clontarf Beach Scout for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Parked really close to GZ. Good.
Cache in its hidey hole was host to a nest of small black ants who became quite agitated when disturbed. The ran everywhere. We were still removing them from our bodies a good five minutes later - even in the car.

Introducing a few muggle mates to geocaching today, this is our fifth and final for the day. Looking for a good mix of finds to show them this one did not dissapoint, finishing with a classic roadside cache. Tftc Clontarf Beach Scout
I took this week off, but it's been quiet as I hurt my back on Monday. Determined to get out today, I headed over to Mango Hill to pick up a few caches.
This was a nice straight forward find to start off the morning.
Thanks!!

We were on our way back from the hairdresser and thought we would stop and grab this cache. In between cars we got out grabbed the cache and the log had to duck back over to the car as someone stopped to ask if we were okay. So DFC crouched down with a ratchet like he was changing the tyre added some in to the log then after the muggle left we replaced the log into the cache and put it back to where we found it.

stop here with swearah on our way home from doing caches out at de-bay.
While we were out caching i had asked swearah if she had ever come across a snake while caching. Turns out she had once and it was at this cache.
So we stopped and jumped out the car she started heading in the wrong direction were she had found her snake friend last time. When i was like no its over here turns out her phone may have sent her to the wrong spot last time.
Nice easy find when there was a gap in the traffic.
Thanks for the cache.

Oh. My. God. Last time I was here, I aborted the mission due to a snake “at GZ”... So when we pulled in here on the way home today and Stephyy mentioned the cache was the other way, I said “no - it’s over here. This is the one I was telling you about”... ummm turns out she was right and the cache was nowhere near the snake I’d seen last time. How embarrassing!
After giggling our way to the real GZ, we spotted the prize and signed our names.
Thanks for the cache, Deception Bay Scouts

TFTC. Found while driving to a massage appointment. I’ve been getting cramps in my leg while driving so having somewhere to stretch was good. Mind you, the ant dance wasn’t.
The next person coming here might want to bring some ant spray. How did they get into my hair? Part of the adventure really
I love these hiding spots. One of my favourite places to find caches.

It has been a long time since I cleared out the North Lakes to the Highway zone of caches. Although we snake through parts of this area once in a blue moon on the bikes no one else in the group is a geocacher so to stop would be to be left behind (most likely to never catch up for the rest of the ride)
Well the new year resolution for 2021 was to make sure i clear an area during one of the early rides through an area. Hence having already completed a couple of Wednesday loops through Redcliffe I peeled off from the group as we returned past Rothwell.
Slowly but surely I then snaked my way through a group of caches. Unfortunately I had a mechanical (chain break) just shy of Dakabin Station so caught the train home.
I just manage to grab this on ahead of an advancing shower and had to scurry across the road to seek shelter in the servo.

Pulling over at gz, the cache was quickly in hand.

As it is the last day of 2020 and I was sitting on 135 finds I thought I needed to get this to 140 by the end of the day. My initial target was 100 for this year- so well done me! I surpassed my goal.
Fourth cache of the day trying to complete this small loop near home that I had neglected until now, I parked close by and with the rain threatening to stop me completing my goal, I headed to the GZ. It always concerns me when recent logs show large snakes having been in the area....but, I summoned up the courage and headed toward the cache. Realising that snakey Swearah had found was some distance from the cache I felt comfortable proceeding.
Waiting for a lull in traffic so as to not look suspicious (not too hard at such an early hour on the last day of the year!), I quickly found my timing - jumped in, grabbed the cache, signed the log and replaced as found.

Had a good idea where this was once I arrived at GZ, but it was just a matter of waiting for the traffic to calm down. Don’t mind me just randomly standing around on the side of a road TFTC
On the way home to the Sunshine Coast from Redcliffe and took this little detour to try to start the Streak Week challenge after a DNF on the rail trail. (As it turned out our streak only lasted 1 day as due to work commitments the planned cache for the next day, Monday failed as the botanic gardens closed before we got there and there was no time to drive further afield - oh well, off the hook now, don't need to go late night caching all week after all)
Parked close as we were heading west and after waiting for a wave of traffic to pass, it was a quick grab.

Quick easy find on a trip north to look at work cars. Ask my driver to stop but no not where I asked then he said that I could walk back, I guess that's why he's my son to harass me. Signed log and replace as found. TFTC
Thanks. Found by Princess Buttercup with the dread pirate roberts tagging along for the ride. Nice quick find on the way to picking kids up from school. Left some of our silver pirate treasure behind.
3.15pm. Good pull off area going towards Northlakes and a quick find.
Thank you. David and Geoff.

With our caravans parked at the Caboolture showgrounds we were off caching with Bill and DiMorgan. A great variety of hides and this was one we enjoyed finding. Thankyou Clontarf Beach Scout for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
We have met up with Liz and Bruce, camping in the Caboolture showgrounds for a couple of days.
After completing the challenge caches we ventured further to The Road to the Cup series. This was in a fairly new housing area the caches scattered amongs the streets & parks

Grabbing some caches up this way today, as I was lucky enough to receive an early mark from work, this was my next stop.
A quick u-turn, and I pulled up just off the road and wandered over to make a quick find on a very busy road.

Před rokem jsem tuto kešku marně hledal. až dnes se to povedlo. Pozdrav z České republiky.
Mimochodem, v díře kam ukazují souřadnice rozhodně není.
A year ago, I searched for this crate in vain and it was successful today. Thanks for the cache, greetings from the Czech Republic.
By the way, in the hole where the coordinates are definitely not.

Easy find after taking the hint just a little too literally at first. Must be a favourite spot to hide caches, because this was by no means the first time. Contents were ok, but ants had got into the container and shredded the ziplock bag.

Got the family to stop as we were driving past. Nice quick find but ants have made a nest in the cache. Boy a lot of angry ants came out of that not so big cache. Nest is now on the grass but I’m sure there were still some ants left on the log.

Out for my daily cache and needing to get some fuel nearby and Wombles and co with me we decided to get this one I went past it pulling off to the side of the road on the correct side and reversed back a little and then between the flow of traffic we found signed and replaced. Now we have found our cache for today we are off to Costco TFTC
