The rain lifted and we decided to get out of the house and go for a ride... Ended up in Hamilton. How convenient...
I recall another ivy-riddled cache from this same CO... That one gave us grief... This one, not so much. I followed the search trail to no avail. In the meantime, the little nephew went off to search elsewhere and found the cache. He was so proud... TFTC.

3pm - Thought this was going be like finding a needle in a hay stack but went straight to it. SLTFTC
Nice cache, pleasant walk with granddaughter to find after nearby event cache.
TFTC, managed to stealthily grab this one after waiting for muggles to clear out
Here a lot but always with too many muggles. Decided it'd be less obvious to have kids searching & amazed that junior made a super quick find, TFTC
Wasn't quite as difficult as feared upon first glance! No one around this quiet late Sunday afternoon, so cache - my 999th! - was soon in hand. TFTC!
Lots of Ivy to search, but the cache was soon located, a couple of muggles nearby, but they didn’t look like the gardening type, TFTC.

Was dreading this one form the cache title but luckily got the find before a shower of rain past by.

Even on a return visit, this needle in the haystack cache, is not easy to find.
Stopped by to pick up a TB for an overseas adventure.

With renewed faith that the cache is still there I had another attempt at this cache. Took a slower more methodical approach this time and within a few minutes came up with the goods, just before the rain came. Drop a couple of TBs.
did what I was asked and checked, the cache is snug in it's hiding place, almost exactly where I placed it, thought it might have got a bit of cache creep, but all is good
Second really good look, but no luck. Ivy's getting a bit of a hiding thou, with some big holes in it now. Might need a check.
On the way to 'Slice of Kiwiana' geocaching evening in Hamilton and as there were so many interesting caches for us to do on the way we spent all day getting there. And we're really pleased we did.
Got to this one after school hours, ideal, as there was no one around. TFTC

Had to have two attempts here as the school kids were playing nearby, so came back a bit later for a lucky find at the second place I looked. Thanks very much nufrat
A quick rummage brought the goods today luckily. We are embarrassed to admit we had a DNF here last week.
popped out today to get back into geocaching. This was a quick find using the geo-holes that have appeared.
Very quick in and out muggle kids riding down road so just waited for them to pass and then quick sign of log and carried on our walk with our friends. TFTC
Ivy never was easy to find things in and this could have been way worse without geo trails. TFTC
Spotted it as I approached - glad it wasn't camo-ed in here! Replaced where it can't be seen on approach.

Lots of ivy, and privet too, to set the nose off.
Fortunately, cache found quickly, so the hayfever did not get much chance to set in.

A very quick find for the clan today, covered a bit better as I spotted it as I was climbing the rise
A very cheeky hide where you hope the neighbours don't spot you. Fortunately found in the first place I looked so a very quick sign and gone.
Many thanks
Many thanks
Just about got caught in the rain but on our last look we spotted it! Very fun, tftc!
Had to come back this morning for another look. Gps seemed to sending me further up the fence line and after a bit of a fossick finally located the blighter. Certaily a mission but we got their & the ftf
I have to admit. Not long in from work and this came in. Why not I was wide awake and it was only 0030 or so. Dashed out and looked for well over 30 mins with my strong torch. Ill tell you this stuff is almost as worse as flax and with no hint the difficulty rating could possibly be doubled id suggest. Back home at 0140.
And yes no problems with nearby muggles so it appears safe looking at night
