A quick park and grab, cache all good. Interesting reading, thank you for the history lesson. Alas your suggestion of finding in sequence I think I have found a few not in sequence.. and have missed out on the others which have been archived. tftc
Cool railway relic nearby that I wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for your cache description.
Stopped here on the way back to Dunedin from an excursion at Outram. TFTC.

TFTC - on a trip to Dunedin for childminding over school holidays. Had a spare hour or two for some previously unfound caches.
Talk about an intersection. This crossing certainly is a lot busier than one might anticipate.
All is well with the cache. Thank you.
All is well with the cache. Thank you.
Back in place with a fresh logsheet (although the original sheet wasn't as damp as recent logs suggested. I could still write on it perfectly OK).
A early morning start again as I need to go to Dunedin for little training and feld work. that's twice this week.
So with coffee in a travel cup I set off .
Not to much traffic today at this early hr but as I got closer the traffic was heavier.
With the training course done it was time to put it in to practice.
With what I learnt making sense in the real world it was time to head back to the work shop.
I managed to get the driver to stop so I could grab this one .
Did my best to find a dry ish place to sing log with not munch luck .
Now to head for home it's going to be a long day .
Thanks for the hide

Today we found Ghost Railways: Outram (3) (Otago) on our travels. A quick find on our way out of Dunedin heading to an oldie at Sutton lake. A quick find.
Thanks U.N.C.L.E. for being part of our geocaching fun.
Thanks U.N.C.L.E. for being part of our geocaching fun.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 12 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. I Had parked my snail shell up at the Showgrounds in Mosgiel.
I thought I saw a Ghost Train today.
Cheers for the cache.

Zusammen mit apaspa die Cache Tour von Dunedin nach Wanaka gemacht. Dachten nicht, das wir den auf Anhieb schnappen würden. TFTC
On our 5th day in New Zealand we travelled from Dunedin to Wanaka. One of our goals was to get the old cache at Sutton Lake in between.
This was our first quick stop. After a look around all was clear and the log book in our hands and signed. TFTC and greetings from Switzerland

#6072. Its my third trip to Dunedin in 2 weeks. Haven't been here for several years and suddenly the flood gates have opened as I have come down to do a series of workshops. Decided to stay on until Saturday afternoon to give me a chance to do some caches on Friday night and again on Saturday morning. After picking up a rental car at the airport I headed off to grab a few rural caches. Quick find here on a complicated and rather busy intersection. The sun has set and the light is fading fast. But soon spied the cache. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here U.N.C.L.E.

After two DNFs in Mosgiel, this one came real easy. Signed the log and continued cautiously on the icy highway towards Sutton Lake.
TFTC!

Out and about with kjr on a mission nice quick find why so much paper in such a small container
Proliferation of Bisons in these parts. So Shiny. Caching in the old stomping grounds visiting the inlaw from another life. Found the cache after stepping across and SL, adding some RITR slips seeing as the muggle sheet is ¼ full. *The logsheet of last resort.* TFTC
Taking the long way home from the Geofest. Through Danseys Pass and down SH 87 to Mosgiel for the night, before my flight home tomorrow morning. What a great drive, some of the scenery was just amazing. Cheers and TFTC
Visiting from Brisbane with Slow Puncture for the Oamaru Geofest, and we're seeing all the wonderful sights the South Island has to offer as we travel along. Day 3: We left Oamaru and headed down along the coast to Dunedin before heading inland to Middlemarch and then looping back to Oamaru.
Thanks for the hunt **U.N.C.L.E.**, this find makes #4293. Discover our TB

Sunday. Slow Puncture has teamed up with Orange Crew to make a Moreton Bay assault on the Oamaru Geofest. Day Three saw us travel from Oamaru to Dunedin and return.
This was the 10th of 37 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***U.N.C.L.E.***, for showing us this place.

Second last find of the morning with Frame Family. Beside a busy road but cache quickly found and signed. Tftc.
New container in place and cache ready to go again. Container type is different and hiding place changed although it is only about one metre from original so will not update co-ords. Cache page has been edited to reflect the changes.
Checked today and container is gone, presumably washed away in the flooding. Plenty of evidence that water has flowed deep and fast through here. Cache will be replaced in a way that hopefully won't be affected by future flood events. Will be up and running in a week or two.
This cache has almost certainly been affected by the flooding on the Taieri. Will disable and do a maintenance check as soon as possible.
Done, prickly!
I'm on a 5 day caching trip in the south island. Have a few aims - right now its to up a few specific caches that I need to complete my grid for a challenge - and find some interesting caches on the way 1800km later I can say I've accomplished my aim!

Found with Hevic on our way back from Outram. Another easy find - this time it was my turn. No dramas at all as the cache was a little revealed - tucked it in where it was but a touch further in. Interesting little piece of history too, though probably more up Hevic's alley than mine. Cheers!
Nice quick P&G after visiting in Outram. Quite a busy road so had to wait for cars to pass by first. TFTC
Greetings from Northern California USA.
Day 906 of nonstop caching. Three quarters of the way down to the cache on our walk Mr d says 'do you have your pen?' Well. Guess what. No. So, as I've done in the past. I improvise. Did a pretty good job if I must say so myself. Left the 'pen' in the cache. Tfth dictaham and clan

After a bit of the day it was great to head out this evening, enjoy the lovely weather and get some caches. Working slowly towards my 2000 for news years (last years resolution - might make it).
Thanks for the cache which was in good condition.

A few of these funny gateway things around here, usually with caches in them. Cheers
Quite a lot of traffic in these here parts...especially on a soggy(ish) Sunday! TFTC.
Another in series, nice part of the country, watch out for the police though of these long straight stretches.
My first find today making my way home after attending a funeral. After a few cold weeks it's nice that things are warming up. I'm loving the lengthening days as well. Thanks
Thanks! Water has got in - I've emptied it out and given it a wipe, but the log has taken a hit.
Forgot the pen- again! Thanks for the clues, we wouldn't have found it otherwise.
It was frosty. I came at it from the wrong 'side'. I waded through thigh-high frozen grass. **I was wearing shorts [xx(]** What a fun day!
Another one in this little series done a couple to go then on to the multi to complete it. It been great to learn a bit of the local history. TFTC
Enjoying holidaying in the area with tmann421.

The second of this series on our trip up to the cricket. A very quick park and grab with a nice little background story behind it. We are looking forward to trying to get all 6 in the coming weeks. Found with a couple of new catcher’s. hannah&ted and poison-dart. The kids have decided they don’t need me.(except for taxi work) Thanks for the cache, R-H’s
Another family find on the way to cricket today. We had to jump across a ditch for this one and I almost got wet feet. A nice quick find for us, looking with poison-dart and roaming -hayward. Log book nice and dry, thanks for the cache, h&t
Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. We landed in CHCH late Friday night and after picking up the rental car we bee-lined it straight to Dunedin to grab a few hours sleep before the mission truly started.
The goal for today was to locate a certain few geocaches which help for certain challenges that we are all currently working on, and to explore some pretty cool country, before getting to tomorrows starting point in Omarama. We thoroughly enjoyed this day of the mission and saw some pretty awesome places, and managed to achieve most of what we wanted. A big thanks to everyone for placing all the caches, and I apologize in advance for the copy and past logs!

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
A quick find here, neat to see some railway relics from another era.
