Out for an afternoon of geocaching while the geogirlfriend went to a wedding. Beautiful weather made for a great day on the bike!
Thankfully I'm a little taller then the cache name suggests!

With the kids school not starting until Wednesday I decided on a caching day in the hills would be a great way to spend such a glorious day.
This was our first find of the day. Nice easy one to start with. TFTC.

For a long time, Barnzy12, cravo10 and I have been trying to tee up a day to head out and grab some caches. Finally the planets aligned and we were able to get out and about today.
We headed up the hill to start clearing up some of the caches around Lesmurdie and Carmel.
No luck here today.
TFTC Fernandogirls.
Fernandogirls, I had to DNF your cache KNEE HIGH TO A GRASSHOPPER on 7/07/2016.

Well the footy is over and we still had some caches to find and a day planned with Me&B and m4yb, so instead of doing the really scary snake area we decided on this little group. A nice walk with not too much heat yet and a good find rate with no DNF's
GZ was very jumpy for all Garmins and Me&B finally made the find
A great camo here and a clever hide TFTC Fernandogirls

Back in the Hills again to find a handful of the apparently infinite amount of caches to improve the stats a little bit.
For the first part of the day I parked the car and walked around in the bush. The challenge was more to find the right track to get to the next hide. The wide variety of hides kept me smiling on the way.
Unusual but funny hide, TFTH.

For this I was happy to use the hint. How can something like this not stick out like a sore thumb?? Thanks Fernandogirls
I parked on Empire Road for this one, and walked up the hill to GZ, and spotted it as I was approaching. A very cute little cache container. Thanks for the cache Fernandogirls!
I had a few hours to kill before the rest of the family woke up so I headed out to the hills just before dawn to see how many caches I could find until I got the hurry-up call to get home. Very peaceful, still morning. Saw many kangaroos, several large lizards and I was almost run over by about a dozen mountain bikers. Such a great area to explore. Another cute cache. My daughter would have loved to see this one. Grass skirt is looking a little worse for wear, but the cache remains concealed from the general muggle traffic. TFTC Fernandogirls
In the hills today finding a few caches, we decided to concentrate on finding the little treasures in this area... We found ourselves doing laps here trying to finding the closest parking spot, but then ended up stopping back where we started From there it was a short walk to GZ, where Jase found the prize in the first spot he looked!

This one took us a while here and we had to look at hint there were so many hiding places it could have been. thanks Fernandogirls
Came up to the hills this afternoon to see how many of the local caches I could pick up in the short time that I had.
Managed to put a smiley on four in about 45 minutes, this is a great area for caching, the cache density is very high, thank you Fernandogirls for your efforts.
Last one for the day and made the find on my second pass of GZ.

I was on a maintenance run to the hills to check on my cache 'What do cachers do all day' and used the excuse to find a few caches whilst up there. This cache was one of them. TFTC.
Out exploring with K.B. and we stopped at this cache during our travels. Thanks for the cache.
I was expecting a grasshopper so was pleased to find a more appealing critter. Thanks for the cache.
Had a great time in the area this morning, but wanted to get a cache or two as well, so went out with GCookie for a few. (Sorry about the late logging - 11/5.)

I decided to head out to the Lesmurdie area and pick up a few caches as i havent done any caching in that area before. I left early to try and beat the heat but it seemed to get hot quite early today.
I didnt do too bad as i found 14 caches in 2 hours with only 1 DNF.
With good descriptions all the caches were found quite quickly and it was good to see a variety of cache containers. TFTC Fernandogirls

I was in this area for the first time today and I had about 30 caches on the to-do list. I was able to find all but one and I thoroughly enjoyed the quality and creativity of the hides around here
A nice easy find with a neat camo. TFTC Fernandogirls

Searched for a while here to no avail. Thanks for the hide Fernandogirls. I will be back.
I had been searching for 15 min's when (kelly drinks tea) and crew and geo dog arrived.Well we could not find it. Strange the hint is easy and it turns out is correct and the other three caches in this group the cord's are spot on. Time to widen the search and just when I was about to declare a DNF there it was. So use the hint and widen your search.
We saw a car parked on the side of the road as we approached the area, mudbuzzie and I realised the FTF was no longer an option. We met dragon/fish, who had been searching for some time and joined in the search. As is often the case we were all about to give up when dragon/fish found the cache as described after we expanded the search area. Happy to claim second to find on this one. TFTC Fernandogirls
