Unfortunately Old Stumpy is no more. Recent slashing along this track has destroyed what ever the cache container was in or on. Found the Sistema container about 1 meter from where it was supposed to be according to my gps. Container has been smashed but still holding together. I have relocated the container 20 m to the south next to a suitable named object. Hopefully owner can replace container and post new coordinates. TFTC
#166 took this one on the way from the beach with flip flops on our feet...and paid by our own blood.
Enjoyed a ride in the Bottle Lake Forest this afternoon and picked up a few caches along the way. Made jolly hard work of getting to this one. Approached from Whiskey Road and landed up walking around “to the other side”, only to have GPSr indicating for me to go back in the direction I’d come from. Anyway got there in the end. Fortunately the cache itself was easily found, despite a few brambles on the way. #1560. TFTC.
I had a few hours to spare before I had to get down to work today, so headed off to find a few caches. I headed in this direction to have a bit of a walkabout in the park. Strangely enough the geotrail got fainter as I approached GZ. All good with the cache though. TFTC, Biggles.
Another quick find with Sir Belac on the bike thank you for placing Kiwi864

Found on a great walk today up the Pegasus Bay Track and back along Whisky Road, picking this one up on the way home. Lots of thorny blackberries guarding GZ. A new area for us, thanks for bringing us here and tftc!

Good old Stumpy!
Got quite wet through the long grass and only when going from the cache back to 'road' discovered a nice path.

As excepted feet are no longer dry glad I brought spare quick find tftc
Took a bit of wading through the long vegetation to find old stumpy. Once there, the cache was a quick find. TFTC.
For a while we have had our eye on the "new" (i.e. new since we left Chch several years ago) caches that have popped up in Bottle Lake Forest, so this morning loaded up the bikes and headed out before it got any hotter. We were also keen on picking up nearby WPs for the big Tour de Forest multi, so a bit of back tracking and occasionally some bush bashing was required to do this.
I overshot this a little as I was looking for a path to GZ, in the end I found a faint track through the lupins, brambles and tall grasses. With all the vegetation, I didn't spot the hiding place until I was very close to it. Now to wait for StreetWalker to catch up after a detour to get info for the big multi. TFTC.

#13910. Troodles had already found this one by the time I got to GZ (it's nice when that happens!). TFTC.
Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
Long trip, but surprisingly we arrived there very tired, almost two days and two nights without sleep, but it took just 24 hours we got used to the new day.
Today we DECIDED to dedicated the day to the city's parks.
At the end of days will be 24 km
TFTC
Greetings from Italy
A fine giornata saranno 24 km.
Le erbacce non ci intimoriscono, a fatica ma arriviamo a GZ e troviamo facile il tesoro

A beautiful day, and so time for a little bit of a walk. I decided on headed down to bottle lake, as there are heaps of new caches since I was last here! - Plus, the baby hates car caching, and I haven't really managed it yet with a baby, but I can manage walk caching - normally - so a walk it was.
We bundled up and I put the backpack on the back, and the baby on the front.
Luckily most caches were an easy find, and baby slept the whole way there, only waking for a feed at the last cache, and then sleeping most of the way back too! (Walking is easier than staying at home! Gosh!! )
TFTC!!

Another quick find on the caching trail. Grabbed just before a muggle and muttle showed up. Tftc.
I was out here walking in bottle lake forest, grabbing caches that were published last night. I have always meant to pick this one up but perhaps because it is to close to home it got left for later. Found easily and log signed, tftc!
While Amalin is still in the Czech Republic, his geogirlfriend Aya already hunts hidden caches in New Zealand successfully.
Thank owner very much for this cache!

Out for a nice MTB ride with some muggle buddies today. Could only coax them into stopping for one cache (their first), and this was it. Ended up circling by most of the caches in the part, as it turned out, so I'll be back to collect them when I have more time. Cache is in good shape!

Great Day. Walk about 19km, 5.5 hours Found 9 Caches and had 6 DNF Thanks to ALL. All Caches/Hint/GPS in good order.
Sorry for the late log. Found this one on my holiday. I didn't had internetaces so I log the founds now. I enjoyed the walk here.
And so began the long march north behind the dunes ...
... every long march needs a break !!
This was the first
Old Stumpy was easy to locate and readily gave up his caching secrets [^]

I wish I had my pushbike with me too !!
I began missing my pushbike at the airport when I arrived.
How many airports provide a "Bicycle Assembly Area" ?? [:o]
Not for bike parking .... for actually putting your bike back together after picking it up off the baggage conveyor belt [^]

Thoroughly enjoying my walk around these parts today although I am also missing my bike but it just wouldn't fit in my suitcase. Thank you Kiwi864 for placing and maintaining this cache
Geomutt needed a walk - geocacher overweight - ergo a-caching-we-will-go. Lovely day for it
Like some others it took a little while to find Old Stumpy which is surprising looking at the size of it. Once we did locate it was a quick find of the cache.
Old Stumpy was almost completely hidden in the long grass and we stumbled around a bit before getting there. TFTC
Ya, finally found it!!! Last time we were here, it was 30+ degrees so didn't spend too long searching. Today, cache was found. Thanks so much.
Found with Twosharpe. I came from the right angle and found it quickly. Mr Twosharpe was relieved as he had looked for this one before. 100% success in finds today. TFTC
Spent the afternoon caching with geobf, his first find for the day!! Was excited to find another travelbug
I decided it was about time I went for another walk in Bottle Lake Forest Park, and pick up a few caches and info for the multi cache along the way. Find number 2, quick grab on the way past. Dropped TB. TFTC (1857)
An early morning walk while in Christchurch. A straightforward find. Thanks for the cache.
The cache was a good excuse for a Sunday afternoon stroll through the forest with the family. Cache was quickly located and we were on our way again. Thanks for the cache!
Cachelet #2 and Mrs TW were at a birthday party so Cachelet #1, #3 and I headed out to Burwood Forest for a bike ride. We didn't know where the track would take us so we just headed out to grab some caches. We were hoping to get to the beach.
We struggled a bit on the walking track as we negotiated the sandy bits. I was impressed with Cachelet #1 and how she did on the bike. Quick find at GZ. Now off to the beach.
Thanks for the cache.

Staying for the weekend in CHCH for a birthday party and took the afternoon for a bike ride with two of my friends kids. TFTC
6667. Our church walking group was walking in the North Shore area today and I decided that I hadn't got enough exercise so, after a coffee break, I got on the bike and did some forest exploration. Nice and easy find after a short ride. Thanks. Rodney.
Out for a run today. First time out here for many years - the route the track take is now totally different. Never been out this close to the beach before!
Had my phone with me instead of my trusty GPSr. It led me in a circle around GZ then straight to it. Easy find - TFTC!

A bit of track, but after a quick search we found this cache in good condition. TFTC
Over shot slightly, but a quick find when I back tracked.
Dusted off the old cyclo cache mobile, to go hunting for new, since last time, caches around the forest. I say forest, but much of now seems to have been harvested! Still a nice ride though.
Thank you for the hide.

Needed to get out for some fresh air and some vitamin D after a long few days, so this was a good one to go for. Was expecting some flooded track so went via the tracks closer to the beach. Found cache quickly. On return I decided to see how far I could go via the main track. Only a few puddles even after yesterdays rain. Thanks for the cache.
Found on an MTB ride in the Bottle Lake Forrest. We didn't take the easiest way to the cache, so I guess we earned the 3 terrain stars.

Out and about at night. Lovely evening for a bit of a walk. My initial path (straight up Whiskey Rd) was foiled by huge expanses of flooding)...so I had to back track and join into the main cycle track....followed this with no problems up to GZ(ish) then cut stright through to GZ. Quick find and sign, then back tracked and walked out the same way. Cheers.

Finally, a chance to go for a ride on my new bike. Cache quickly found once I got to GZ, navigating past nearby flooding. TFTC.

The last cache for the day. Bbear44 and I biked 15km today. Zigzagging through the forest looking for all the caches.
A lot of Trees are now gone, and had to wade throu a Lake carrying Bonnie our Geodoggie, until reaching higher ground.Found the Cache nice and dry, then did a wee detour on a drier track back to the Cachemobile.TFTC
Bit of a mission to get to this one as we wanted to get it form the other way but the track was a tad under water, never mind we went out around the other way and grabbed the others first and then off to get this one we didn't want to risk the flooded track so crossed from the other track over to this then back again. Cool hide and last for the day. Had a great day with my cache buddy.
After a long walk at the beach, we found the forest. Or whats left of it. Old Grumpy couldn't hide well enough
Elephant tracks showed the way in so a very pleasant end to a quiet wander. The log was quite dry but the container (love that colour) was a little damp. Thank you.
Another nice and sunny afternoon and I went for a walk through the nearby forest and parks. The cache was easy to find and it's such a lovely and peaceful place. Many thanks for showing!
After I had finished today's MTB orienteering course I went back out for an extra 7km ride to seek this cache. It was right where my gps said it would be. Thanks for the cache, and the extra exercise - I now feel satisfied that I can sit in front of the tele all afternoon and watch the NRL Auckland Nines and Winter Olympics with a clear conscience.
Nice, tftc
