Out and about performing maintenance and caching up with new geocaches in New Plymouth. The location for GC4XQRN FP3:Thirst Quencher has been appropriated by a new cache... GC6YKPB Big T-ank.
I wasn't aware the old cache had been archived in November 2016. Checked the location and sure enough it was still there, although very wet. As a sodden mess it is no longer possible to add further names to the log so I removed the whole cache.
***Thanks banjoboy2012 it was a great cache**, but sorry, I also removed the FP I'd previously given it.*

A fairly quick find. Log absolutely soaked though so unable to write on it. Took photo as proof of find.
GPS has taken me the long way home from the Mega. Finding some good caches along the way, TFTC
I am staying in New Plymouth with my sister on a trip from Australia for a week before heading up to the mega event, so taking the opportunity to grab some caches in the area. Today I was down here where after a dismal start to the day things just kept improving with the weather and by now the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day.
Found after a short search and spotting what was out of place. As previous logs mention no point in trying to get the log out to sign, I have a photo if required. Definitely needs some work though. Thanks banjoboy2012.

Found but cache was very wet and logbook unsignable. Tried to dry it a bit but was far too wet. TFTC
pretty straight forward, but the log was very wet so couldn't write in it
Found cache easily enough. However cache was full of water and the log book is saturated, rather apt given the name of this cache but a bit inconvenient for signing purposes. Signed as best I could and returned it to is rightful spot. TFTC
Coordinates were very on point which was great! Was actually a really easy find which we weren't expecting. Thanks!
Very quick find, needs some love though the cache itself is no longer attached not sure how long it's been like that but it's all good as it is as well tftc
Clever! Helped to read logs. Actually checked here early in search and discarded as a hiding spot
TFTC done on a night mish went straight past it to start with but soon realized my mistake nice camo
A nicely placed cache but the traffic seems busy, or was it because it is school holidays? Found and signed. TFTC
WENT wrong way first then attacked again from other side, nice camo dry and safe, TFTC
This cache was one of the many caches we found on our 6 day campervan journey from Tauranga to Lower Hutt via Waihi, Cambridge, New Plymouth and along the west coast to Wanganui and back to the Hutt. A mighty and enjoyable journey which took us to many great and iconic parts of the north island and of course some great geocaches. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to so many new places. Took a while to find this one, cunning....Sorry about the generic log but 200 plus to log. TFTC
Our first find today after 3 dnf's
Quick find, thought it would be something like this as we own something similar. TFTC

An interesting cache. It's hard hunting for the obvious. Good co-ordinates. Nice one
It was a pretty wet day today & GZ was very wet. Managed to spot the well hidden cache quite quickly though.
Thanks for the nicely camo'd cache banjoboy2012

Very sneaky. Someone has been having some fun In this spot.... number 3 today caching for my birthday
Part of my one a day mission, thought I would try for some outlying caches, this on has been on the radar for a while and with a bit of hunting, Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap. TFTC quite a nice hide, log a bit damp, sorry no plastic bag with me as "I'm at work"! Blenheim Bear

Excellent hide, found after a little scrambling in the bushes. Must remember to check all authentic pieces of equipment from now on! TFTC
Had business at both ends of the Island and managed a transition day inbetween to find my first ever caches in Taranaki - glad I did. Thanks for putting these out and bringing me to this neck of the woods.
Out and about caching with davycrockpot in Taranaki today. Quickly located the cache and bushcover we were able to sign it unseen. Tftc
Found with Geco72 on the return trip to New Plymouth airport. Quick find today, but well camouflaged.
Hunted around, came up empty, handed over to the better half and she had it in minutes. Nice hide
An early set off this morning from home as have to set up for an industry conference in New Plymouth which would allow me to see a few customers, set up the stand and collect a few caches.
Parking was slightly tricky but thankfully not too much traffic, great hide and container
Thanks for the placement

Brilliant hide banjoboy. Took me about 10 mins, but that's cause I jumped to conclusions. TFTC. Gets a favourite from me.
Spotted this one fairly quickly... Nice hide... Signed log and replaced... TFTC
Still smelling the cordite I must have been hot on the heel of smoking gun. Third to sign great hide TFTC
A nice quick find. Very nice hide, we like the effort that has gone into making this one, well done. Signed log. Thanks for the cache.
Could still smell the burning rubber from Tara Ted's tyres we were so close. An excellent cache with a lot of thought gone into it.TFTC
