I was in the area and needed a cache to keep my streak alive. I parked nearby in a side street and took the path to the main road. A walk to GZ indicated that I was not exactly where I needed to be so a different approach put me at a better location. The cache was quickly spotted. The log was full so I have added a new one. With everything returned as found I was again on my way. TFTC
24 June 2024 4:29pmAfter a small run of other caches in the area today while waiting for my son to finish "chippies with da boyz" I was on my way to this one when my son called and said he was ready to get picked up. I quickly finished heading this way, found the cache and returned it before heading off for family responsibilities! Thanks for the cache
With cars screaming past we found the cache then managed a perilous crossing of Moggill Rd.Thanks Nurseyjulie
This cache did not come to hand at first but was spotted when I checked again with a torch. Could not reach with my tweezers so had to find the right stick! TFTC
Out visiting the Garden Centre so had to find a couple of local caches. A quick scan of the logs I knew where to look. It stood out straight away but is too far in for me to reach. My tweezers aren't strong enough to grip the container and pull it out, or maybe I just have short fingers?

SaintsMadHouse and I decided that today we would tackle some caches in this area. We were particularly after some of the Indy Jones series, and decided to throw in caches in the similar vicinity of course. With most of our planned goal achieved, we checked the map and decided to tackle bits and pieces of others around.
This one was found nice and quickly, tucked away safely in its home.
Thanks for the cache Nurseyjulie.

Found easily and popped our names on the scrap of paper. It will need a new log soon
Quick drive by find on an afternoon where the weather looks rather threatening.
Hoping to squeeze a few n before the skies open up.
Cheers

Picking up some caches in Kenmore today. I walked from one Flooded cache to the other and searched everywhere with no luck. I had to read some logs to give me a hint and then it was an easy find. TFTC!
Despite the succumbing to its namesake during the recent floods, we found it... only just hanging by a twig!

On the way home from work i decided to pop in and collect this smiley. At first i was on the wrong side of the fence and then once on the correct side i soon spotted this cache. Used my tweezers to get it as i red about the red back spiders from previous finders but there were none today. Thankyou for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Today, I joined karicka in a morning hike in the Dandy Ranges, walking past part of Lake Manchester. It was a nippy morning that got warm, with a number of steep hills walked up and down. After lunch, jesswrigley and I headed to the northern suburbs, where we stopped off at Strathpine, Leis Park, Petrie and Old Petrie Town, and completed the *The North Pine Heritage Trail* Adventure Lab. We ended up running out time exploring Old Petrie Town, so another trip to be scheduled no doubt.
Like probably most of us, I arrived at where I thought GZ was, only to need to change elevation as I arrived. I took a shortcut over the fence, and otherwise made a quick cache find. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook is well and truly full, and needs to be replaced. A CO visit may be needed here soon. Thanks Nurseyjulie for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After checking all the obvious spots we decided to change elevation and spotted the cache soon after. So many red backs have made this area home!TFTC Nurseyjulie
If I had have read the logs first I would have started at a different elevation and made the find quicker. Found some pretty healthy redbacks during my search but always wary of the sort of locations. TFTC
Be careful of the redbacks at this location! We first tried the relatively obvious spot, before reading the logs and heading to a different elevation, where DisSister quickly found the geocache. I was still freaking out at the top about the number of spiders!!

I parked at the intersection and walked along the footpath to a nice spot where I could’ve parked. Down to GZ and I made a quick find. Thanks for the cache
Hunting down a few cache's in the area today with Liz & Bruce and Chamad.
This one almost caught us out. When we arrived at GZ some of us went " this way " and some went " that way." turns out we found it " this way" not " that way."

Out today with Team Tyrrell and Liz and Bruce collecting puzzle caches and anything else in the area. This was one of today’s collections; while we were mainly concentrating on the sound series of caches it was hard not to collect others as we passed by. It was a fun day with lots of laughs and joking along the way, I’d be happy to cache any day with these people.
All good with this cache, thank you to the CO for placing this one here.

Out with chamad and team tyrell today finding caches in the area. Thanks for hiding and giving us the opportunity to explore this area.
Collected while in the area... like others once I determined the correct elevation this was a surprisingly quick find... tftc...
Stopped after lunch at one of our favourite spots. Quick find once we managed to work out we were slightly in the wrong spot.
The main reason we were caching around Kenmore and Brookside this morning was a visit to the Kenmore tavern for lunch. I heard a radio ad or saw something in the paper recently that prompted us to come back. We had been there a few times before and knew there was an Aldi and First Choice close to it and were happy just to get out of the house. Life is simple when the only things you need are right next to each other.
We had decided to wrap up the caching day and head back for a glass of wine and a feed. We were worried that we didn’t have a booking but most places are still happy to “squeeze” you in.
On the drive back we popped in to grab this cache and once we saw the terrain had a better idea where to go. My fat fingers couldn’t do the trick but Mrs Woodyrothwell’s were more suited to the task. After a smattering of hand sanitiser we were off to lunch. I hope my wife sanitises her boobs because I don’t want to catch anything. tftc

I lived around the corner from this one during the mid-late 80s, brings back many memories.
As I made my way to gz I spotted the cache. With the log signed, I replaced all as found.
Thanks for the cool cache Nurseyjulie.

Oh, Nurseyjulie, you had me wandering up and down the bridge walkway for nearly 30 minutes. "It's GOT to be here somewhere!" Finally in desperation I walked over to the shade at the city end and sat down to read some logs which might give inspiration. And they did, happily. After that a quick find and log. What a magnificent old gum tree over the other side of the road. I'm glad the construction/design team saved it. Parked down almost on top of 'Flooded1' and ambled along. Not a lot of parking space on Moggill Road around here. TFTC, Nurseyjulie.
Caching in this lovely part of town.

Was a quick easy find here. The hardest part was scrambling it out. Whoever put it back last must have pushed it in a bit too far. Eventually, Mrs Krispy Kreme got it out with a stick. TFTC
Last time I was here it was long grass and water running past and could not see where to put feet but today grass had been cut so it was straight to GZ.
Soon spotted the cache and signed the log and returned to where we found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Nurseyjulie All good with this cache

Came for a check on this one. The council have recently cut the grass and as I walked along and turned in the direction of the cache - I could see it on approach! It still there!
Had a good search but nothing presented itself. Been a while since found, might need a CO check
This one hasn't been found in a while so I thought I'd have a crack. Lots of nesting redbacks made my way at gz, so after a cursory look I gave up.
You don't get much of an easier find than the cache laying on the ground as you approach... Hmm, I think I can count this one as a smiley... [^]
I sorted out business, then tried to figure out where it might have come from. I decided to tuck it in what I thought would be a reasonable location, out of prying eyes from above, and not in immediate sight from below... Perfect...
Cheers NurseyJulie.

A bonus flooded find today as we accidentally navigated to the wrong cache Not to worry, we enjoyed the clever hide and added our names to the log. Tftc Nurseyjulie
While in the area searching for other Caches, we thought we'd give this a try. This was the fasted cache we have found so far. great clues and as this is likely our 10th find, we are starting to get the hang of it.
thanks so much for not making us feel like dummies.

After searching for a while we checked the terrain rating and adjusted our search accordingly. We explored our options thoroughly and decided the short and direct root was the best to achieve the find. It still took a little searching but we found it in the end. Thanks for the cache.
Too much flowing water to go to it from that level, going over, maybe a no for an old lady with peak hour passing traffic, hope I will be back one day. TFTH
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Out and about this afternoon along with catscatscats22 and this one was next up on the list for us We pulled alongside GZ and had a quick search of the area. We soon spotted a likely hiding spot and had the cache in hand and added our name to the logbook

Went back for another look at this one today, success!
I had looked here in my previous attempt, obviously not hard enough.

GPS bounce is killing me today, had me all over the place so needless to say I didn't find it but I did find a lovely golden Labrador running around the park ownerless, turns out he lives next door lol
This cache will not beat me, I will be back

Down from Toowoomba with the family to grab a few caches. Stopped off here hoping for a quick search and after going across then down I ended up going over! After that it was a quick search and sign of the log book before returning it to its hide. TFTC Nurseyjulie
Needing my cache for the day, I headed out this way after work. I drove past GZ and parked the car around the corner. I walked back towards GZ. Once I was where I thought I needed to be, I realised that I needed to be over there. How to get there???? With the light quickly fading, I made a call to the CO who told me to walk a little further and I would find the access point. Head slap moment when I saw it. I really should have paid more attention as I drive past, but traffic was my major concern at the time. I chatted to the CO as I walked to the real GZ, not where I had thought it was. Once there, I realised that it was going to be hard to find in the little light that was remaining. The CO took pity on me and told me where to look for this cleverly hidden cache. Thank you After signing the log and returning the cache to its hiding spot, I made my way back to the car.
Well this cache lived up to its name of being flooded away! New cache in place.
Pretty sure this one has flooded away. CO needs to check. We searched for ages and phoned a previous finder and still had no luck.
After an absolutely awesome ride I had time to find a few more on the way home. This one had me looking for the longest of the series.
It only took a bit of reasearch to refine my search pattern and locate the nice little hide.

After a little walk through the park across the road I was going to grab the two over this side of the main road. Alas it did not work out as planned.
This stop was relatively easy, and I was soon signing off on the log. I got the cache back in place and heading on towards the next.
TFTC
Turns out Flooded was not to be searched for today as there were two muggles pulled up over the road having a very lengthy conversation, they did not look to be moving on any time soon.

After finding number 1 a short stroll brought me to this one. Looks like the area has been cleared with extreme prejudice. Not much cover but easy access to GZ. As usual I missed the obvious and took a couple of minutes extra to make the find. All is in good condition. TFTC
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 1:50pm. We were looking in the wrong area first but then got onto where it had to be. The cache is in good condition. TFTC
I remembered that I had found #1 some time ago and wondered where this one would take me.
I found a convenient park on the other side of the road and crossed over easily.
I started a search and then decided that, maybe, I was in the wrong spot so I relocated and it didn't take long to discover the cache. The route back to the car was a bit easier.
Thanks Nursey I will have to come back to find #3 another day.

Last on my long walk today to pick up a few local caches that have appeared while I've been in hibernation. Getting dark when I arrived at GZ and I poked around for a while before eventually spotting the hide. TFTC.
I had a good idea where I was going to look but ended up making it harder than necessary to get my way to GZ, despite following what I thought was a geotrail. Upon arrival at GZ the cache hide quickly revealed itself and I signed the log. I did manage to spot the proper geotrail out of GZ which was a heck of a lot easier to follow. Tftc
I was out and about with the CO for a couple of hours today , and after I dropped her home, I figured I'd go and collect her four new caches while I was in the area [^]
A good hint for parking was given and I made use of it, then took a wander down to GZ. Mmm, can't see a way through here, so maybe I'll go that way... Searching all over here didn't reveal the cache, but then a read of recent logs suggested I'd been right in my first idea, so back I went Ahhh, that might be the geotrail. A bit of a bush bash (well, sort of ) and the cache was in the next spot I looked [^] TFTC, Nurseyjulie

!!!!tftc!!!!! A very fun journey to this cache as i had worked for the city council at this spot just after the floods it was bare as a bone then with the odd gas bottle hanging high in a tree and other weird debris then, but now it is has become well over grown.
I found myself on the way home from Moggill to Kenmore at 10:30 tonight and mentioned to my pilot that I would need to head out after he dropped me home as I still needed a cache for today. With a measley 9 days to go, I wasn't going to miss out on one now. Copilot (half of KJMJTJ) asked if I had found the new Nurseyjulie one nearby our current location, and promptly pulls over. A short walk later and I no longer need to go out agin now that I am home...I just need to write the log!
This was a fiendish location for a hide. Could take some finders a long time...fortunately a small hint went a long way! Well played NJ!

I originally planned to walk from the nearby "Flooded" cache to this one through the parks and creek bed but I soon turned back not wanting to get my work clothes muddy and covered in cobblers pegs. I quick commute in the car had me a few hundred meters from the prize. Once at GZ it was nice to discover that I could search for this one somewhat away from the passing car muggles. I spied the cache from a certain angle and signed the log. TFTC.
A cooler afternoon and we decided to find a few caches around the area. First stop of the afternoon and we made our way to GZ, all well until I almost stepped on a local who wriggled off quickly. Not sure who got the bigger fright, decided to help with directions from a distance. After a search the cache was located, log signed and returned. TFTC Nurseyjulie.
Parked in a nearby street and wandered over. H lad a pretty good idea where to start looking. Wandering down I thought how do I get over there, back up a bit and find an access point. Cache located quite quickly then. No animals out basking today but a good hide. Tftc
