Parts including the final and WPT1 muggled again. Thankfully no TB's present. That's it for this one!

10-Jul-14
Quick check at the tree revealed some interesting fruit. Seems it's good to go.

29-Jun-14
Found clues 1 and 3 but FTF #2 - bit of climbing in a couple of spots but no luck. Without knowing what letter point 3 was, we couldn't even guess at the coordinates for the cache. Gave up as the chill was setting in - will return with GeoDad soon to see if we have more luck Smile Geokids enjoyed the climbing though!

Great find

Item at WPT3 has gone missing. To obtain X, take the two digit number on the adjacent light pole and multiply by 0.75. Description updated.

I came here a week or two back thinking the coords in the listing were WP1 so I spent some time looking to no effect. Emailed the CO who described the spot but I was at the wrong end. I'd run out of time so headed off. Today I returned to the correct WP1 where I made a quick find and headed to WP2 which was harder but only because I was looking in the wrong direction from my monkey position. Off to WP3 with clues in hand (well written on hand) and I couldn't find a thing. Looked here and there and thought I'd try my luck with a number. Headed to a likely spot but didn't find anything so went back to try again at WP3. Finally resorted to a PAF who described where I should be looking but I didn't find anything. I tried again with another number and GZ looked more promising and I made the find. Phew.

Signed the log, took the TB and replaced. No one around today which was good.

Thanks!

Found this one this afternoon whilst out on the calendar gap and DT rating cache hunt which brought me back to Hornsby Heights.

As CJ is away, I did this one solo. Today the weather was perfect for walk around the oval and a cache. The coords and the hints were excellent. The first two WP's were not too tricky. The third one was harder but the hint helped heaps. Got to the GZ but had to wait to time my access as a muggle had just arrived home close to the GZ and took an extremely long time to collect the mail and go inside. Once at the GZ it was a straight forward find. The cache is in good nick and the cache is totally dry. I signed the log and replaced the cache exactly as I found it.

It was a great day for caching down another multi Smile Thanks asbestiform for another of your caches. Picked up TB and Dropped off a TB. SL TFTC

Well the soccer was in full swing this morning but in some ways that gives you better cover. I went for WP 2 first and made a quick find, perched as I was. Then over to WP1 for another quick find. Used an implement because it looked like redback territory to me. Then to WP3 and another quick find. This one stood out a bit more than I expected. Not sure if it was how the CO intended it to look.

Armed with the coords, I ventured forth to gz and again made a quick find. Signed and replaced, but didn't realise I was being watched by an elderly gentleman out for a walk... We exchanged quizzical looks and I was on my way.

Excellent little multi. Thanks asbestiform.

Turned up to find a few soccer games in progress and was a bit worried about how easy this was going to be to complete under the circumstances. However all was well and all three waypoints located fairly easily and unseen. Plotted the answer to find myself somewhere suitably spiky but it took a little longer than it should have to locate the box. Fairly easy in the end and only one stab wound. Thanks asbestiform.

TFTC! Did it over 2 days. Didn't take any tbs.

This seemed like a good idea on a wet Sunday, and we could easily avoid the soccer game on the far side of the field. I'm not much of a climber these days, but my height made that one OK, the others were easier. At GZ I had a very careful search before spotting something and we were logged and off well before the players returned to their cars. We took the 2 TBs and left another 2 TBs. Thanks for a fun way to spend a damp afternoon, well done.

Sorry asbestiform the geo kiddies was a little excited at way point 3. Outer cover has come apart. It was little bit fragile at best anyway. I have put back as best as possible but will need new camo. So sorry. Tftc.

18/03/14. 8:17 AM. Cache #1404. Yesterday afternoon, the CO had advised that he was doing maintenance on WP1, and gave me the final coordinates, confirming that I had the right X and Y but had guessed the wrong Z. This morning, after a lengthy 2TF hunt at this CO's latest puzzle up the road (The Oracle of Windy Banks), I returned for another look.

I wanted to do it properly so I found Stage 1 even though I already knew what Z was. Hey - I get an FTF on the new waypoint Wink. Then off to the final which I had dismissed yesterday, thinking it was in someone's yard from the satellite photo. Nah, it's easy to search out of sight here. Just a bit ouchy, if you know what I mean. Easy find, now I really must be off to work. TFTC }:)

New WPT1 location and container placed. Others checked and where they should be. Cache on.
Repairs done Monday 1.00pm 17/3/2014 after DNF posted by Kid Ron Satan. Can' t seem to correct the date on this and earlier entry.

17/03/14. 7:22 AM. I had a short search at Stage 1 and found an item but it wasn't what I was looking for. Down to stage 2 where I also struggled until I gave in to temptation and read the hint as well as checking out the attributes to confirm what I needed to do here. Once in position I found an item which was definitely a game piece (and confirmed that what I'd found at stage 1 wasn't). Stage 3 was an easy find.

Without stage 1 found, there were 10 combinations for Z, which I put into my app to see what the satellite photos looked like. Most ended up in peoples yards / houses or even middle of the road. Only one looked promising (it was at the end of a cul-de-sac near some bush and the start of a track), but even here I was too close to a house and my searching set off its dog barking. Not wanting to attract attention, I had to leave. Will need to watch this to see if stage 1 is still there. On to Hornsby next to look for The Rock Star.

After a FTF on one of asbestiform's new caches, I went home to log it and started going though a few days of accumulated emails. What's this? asbestiform has established another front!
The park is familiar to anyone involved in kid's sports around here. It gets plenty of use, day and night.
I wandered down and found a bit here, a bit there and finally, where they all led. SL as *FTF* at 7:10pm.
Thanks again asbestiform.

Thought the rain might have meant another day or two before this one was claimed. The kids will pleased it's been found!
