After some searching we were joined by a man on a bike asking what we were up to. Turned out to be a neighbour who knew zilch about geocaching - but he does now. Had to explain what we were doing and he was very curious about it. He also filled us in on how the airport security and others keep an eye on this part of the world due to presence of the airports solar farm.He had some interesting tales to tell Eventually found the little cache, signed the log and got outa there TFTC
Found while in the area today. Lots of planes overhead. Thanks for the cache nirgalagrin.
Another bunch of cars all along here. Managed to park nearby and try to be inconspicuous while the planes came in to land. Thanks.
My 100th cache and the last one in Australia! Found it with GeocacherDS and Bluelie
With dot558 after dropping her son off at the airport.Took a while as we watched some of the planes overheadThanks for the smile
A quick find as I scouted along the fence-line at the GZ. Would definitely be a good spot for plane photos, and it was interesting to see all the solar panels as well. Thanks for bringing us here, nirgalagrin.
Early morning drop-off at the airport with [@DuckNomNom](https://coord.info/PR1J84Z1), but deprived of being able to access the nearby Woodlands at stupid o'clock. We settled for the picking up the three caches nearby in plane-spotters territory.I remember this movie from my childhood and felt immediately certain that the cache would be an abandoned piece of luggage in the middle of a field. This was not to be.All credit to DuckNomNom for this find. In an area with seemingly few options, it was deceptively well-placed. Log in good condition.
-3035Loved the movie Gods must be crazy TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it
Visiting Melbourne from Port Macquarie.Yet another good planespotting angle, was admiring the take-offs so much, we almost forgot there was a cache to find Took a little bit of searching but soon located the hide. Thanks for the cache
14:05A new container, smaller than the previous but still in keeping with the cache's theme, is now in place.
Hmm I thought this would be an easy find but I'm walking away empty handed. There may have been works on the water thing here.. not sure if it's here anymore.
After doing 35 caches in the nearby Woodland Series, I hoped to drop off a TB, but the container was not suitable. Quick find
Came here on my 31st birthday eve for a day of caching. This one was a simple park and grab. GeoBF was tired and sat in the car while I got down to business. The church nearby looks like something out of a horror film. TFTC
OzHockeyChick shouted me a return flight to Launceston for my birthday. So grateful for this awesome gift and so very pleased to have her with me to celebrate.
We got diverted to Hobart which definitely wasn't part of our tight schedule. Once we arrived in our original destination, we picked up the car and were on our way.
This was a quick park and grab before we set off on our weekend away. Now lets get going.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.

A 'Thelma & Louise' style weekend away with Geoturtle37, to celebrate her recent milestone birthday. We are flying in to Launceston on Friday afternoon, returning to Melbourne on Sunday evening. Our carefully planned itinerary includes selected LGAs, placement dates, DTs and high faves. If we manage to find them all, we can expect 186 smilies in total.
A quick detour en route to Tulla airport. Signed the log while watching a predatory bird hovering over the field. Wouldn’t like to be a mouse right now.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, nirgalagrin

After finishing the inaugural Woodlands Historic Park parkrun across the road I did the usual and looked for a nearby cache. It's my new Saturday ritual - do a different (consecutive) parkrun and then find a local cache (that streak is now at 44, aiming for at least 52.)This cache popped up as the closest so it was a quick drive to GZ.It's an unusual outer container, but the inner and the logbook is what counts and that was in good shape.I remember the "Gods Must Be Crazy" movies well - I was a youngster in South Africa when these were produced there. Very amusing plot lines, and still funny today despite being very dated. Just like the Boeing 747s that once were common around here - they've been around for half a century and some are still doing duty, and still look good. It's actually my favourite aeroplane. Thanks for keeping this one going, nirgalagrin.
Dropped Marchwood at the airport to head home and thought we better go get some more caches. Quick find with Agazo this afternoon.
Thanks for the cache

After dropping Marchwood off at the airport, Kiscardi, and I headed to this area to find some caches.
This is a favorite movie of mine, so the hide made lots of sense. TFTC.

Took a stroll over to this one while waiting for the departure of the eponymous team member. A quick find at 11:15 and it was back to watch her fly over the top of us.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Air Head ️. Adopted by nirgalagrin.

Nice quiet side road with a great view of the planes coming in over head with one watcher down the road... Had to do a closer look to find the log but love it... overall a quick easy find while on our travels today. TFTC
Find No. 3862. Found with FUF009.
A day trip down to do the Woodland series of caches.
Took our bicycles and FUF009 came with us.
Arrived at the gate, unloaded or bikes, had a cuppa and off we went getting our first cache at 8.55am.
We worked our way through the series stopping several times to watch the coming and going of the jets at Tullamarine.
After a long warm day with several challenges, we arrived back at the car park for a rest and well earned cuppa.
We put the clues together, punched in the co-ords and went and claimed the final cache of the series.
After completing the series, and before heading home, FUF009 told us about three quick grabs, closeby that we could get. This being number two of the three. This hide was placed with some creativity. It certainly goes to show you can make a hide out of anything.

The Gods Must Be Crazy is one of my all time favourite movies.
As soon as we arrived at GZ, we could see just how cleverly themed this cache was.
For a parkngrab on the side of the road, it sure made both catnap777 and I smile. [^]
TFTC Air Head and thanks for looking after it nirgalagrin.

Found cache and log signed with dalerious .
We had a huge day cycling Woodlands, chasing the top 500, and wanting to get some maintenance done for a friend .
We grabbed this one on the way from the cemetery. dalerious and I have fond memories of the movie.
Loved the cache container. Very original .
Thank you Air Head and Nirgalagrin .

*Found on the 10 Dec 2022 @ 12:43 pm.*
*Cache find # 13770.*
After finding all the available caches in Woodlands I headed to this one with biggles1024 next.
We were passing by so why not stop for a look.
The cache was found quickly as we could see it before we even got out of the car but had to get a lot closer to make sure that it was actually the cache.
In the short time we were there a number of planes flew overhead.
**Thanks to nirgalagrin for keeping this cache up and running.**

Steve and I returned to Woodlands Park today to try and complete the series. The weather was perfect, but part of the park was closed so we will have to make a third trip some time in the future. As were in the area, we stopped here for a quick find.

on our way to the mega we did this little detour before heading.......wish it was a sunny day to get full potential of the overhead traffic tftc
What a big solar farm!!! We swung by this one to add our names to the log before heading off again. Tftc
Oh I am definitely coming back here with a fancy camera! The solar farm is something else isn't it! The cache was easily found - that's the beauty of these remote locations - it can be very obvious, but it is not a problem at all. TFTC
Was not at all surprised to see this cache from the road. Very happy to finally tick these off!! Great series & individual caches, thanks for the adventure & TFTC!️0
In Melbourne for a Dog Grooming Convention at the showground. Awesome to have a couple of caches close by. A plane spotter in the area thought I may be walking a long distance and offered a lift lol. Luckily no one was parked at GZ. I haven't seen this type of container used before! TFTC.
I’ve always loved watching the planes fly over. When I was much younger I used to come to this area a lot. The best thing is that are so many places where you can go plane spotting away from all the usual viewing areas. This is definitely a different area that I’ve never been to. It wasn’t long before I’d found the cache and a plane flew over almost directly above where I was standing. Amazing. Loud. And constant! It seemed to almost be one plane after the other.
I thought that there wasn’t a log inside the container until I opened it. I emptied out the water that had made its way into the container but the log was safe and dry. I signed the log to the sounds of planes flying over and under a sky of blue. Imagine that. Melbourne. With blue skies! TFTC

Definitely an interesting area even in the dark. Make sure to look up, the view was amazing

Waiting to pick up the wife from the airport I decided to get there early and do a few caches prior to her arrival phone call. Bit dark at night but managed to find this one pretty easily. ️️TFTC
This is a really great cache container, practical, inexpensive and waterproof. You get such a good view of the airport from here.
TFTC! A great cache alongside some plane spotting. Lots of domestic flights coming in!
I’ve eyed off these enticing ’Plane Spotting’ caches for years. This was my first opportunity to spend time in the vicinity and actually find one. It was a quiet road with no Muggles around when I visited on a pleasant Sunday afternoon. No planes cam over while we were at GZ, but we did see one come over as we were driving on the highway to the cache. I love the films referred to in the cache title and could see the relevance to them. There are lots of solar panels harvesting solar energy in the paddock over the road. The novel way of hiding the cache was fun!
Melbourne Cup Monday the unofficial Public Holiday!!! We decided last week to go for a drive to visit Regional Vic, we headed up towards the airport and headed north winding our way to Romsey for Lunch, across and over Mount Macedon before venturing south and finishing up near Calder Park, We ended up with 30 finds, one DNF, and lots of laughs. Thanks for all the cache owners for placing their caches.
Great little spot was found quickly we went back to the church to grab a couple of snaps!!

The great collector if sun has appeared since I was last here. Log paper all good. TFTC
Found by Team Ladava enjoying a little fresh air given the limitations of the ‘lockdown you have when you are let out of lockdown’.
Well, that wasn’t what I expected. A favourite point from Team Ladava for the innovative hide.
A lot more action when the action airlines are in full operation.
Our thanks to Air Had and nirgalagrin for the cache and bringing us back to this location.

Coordinates changed to:
S 37° 38.481 E 144° 49.746
Distance from original: 337.0 feet or 102.7 meters.
Cache was getting too much unwanted attention in its last position, so previous CO (Cliff5009) moved it back where it sat till farmer removed old fence, but hadn't updated the coordinates.
Checked today, all good.

A little confused with the changes noted, however, followed the coordinates and it lead us directly to the cache. TFTC

Headed out for the day with friends and a dog to explore woodlands park. The sun is shining and covid rules are now relaxing. Unfortunately I already have all the caches in Woodlands so was seeing what caches were near by that i did not have and saw two just across the road.
So after a nice long walk and a lengthy 5 hour picnic, i drove across to this cache.
Cache is not at published co-ordinates, it is about 100 metres down the road.
Thanks for the cache and the hide
