Another Rat off my list. A longish walk but a quick find. TFTC

I'm getting to enjoy this weather and these little short jaunts out with m4yb, beats the hell out of work.

So we decided to go out and hunt big Black Rats and this was the first, we did a slow drive by to check the lie of the land for a parking spot close to GZ and then headed around and searched for a break in the fence, found it and had an enjoyable walk to GZ and I made a quick kill. Let m4yb complete signing duties and returned back to the car.

So today's goal for megawat60 and me, was to revisit Blackrat Territory and clear up as many as we could.
This one was first up. We drove from Marmion Street but I found that pulling up on Moore Drive was a bit hazardous for the GeoJazz. So took a left and a left and I found a little walking path from the southern end of Ostico Crescent.
The walk was good and he beat me to the cache. SL and left one of my WA Goes Big 2015 pathtags.

Decided to clean up a couple of new Blackrat caches in the area today.
I remember that we had been struggling here with the previous hide for ages, but I was happy to find this new cache in just a couple of seconds. TFTH

Easy find

We're sick of having these green blobs in the middle of our smileys so we went out for a cycle/walk to get them. Each cache was very sneaky and took at least 5-10 mins to find but all in all, TFTC

Having updated my TomTom with my latest files (after no caching for a year it only took about 4 hours! Website/Excel/GSAK/TomTom) this popped up on the way back from the cinema in Currambine. TFTC

A quick find at GZ. sometimes the best find is a quick find.

The goal this morning was to find all of the caches in Joondalup suburb and we ended up finding 27 so not a bad effort. This was the last one of the BlackRat-Run we found today and it was found quite easily . tftc.

We spent our morning finding 27 caches, for my father (ask277) wanted me to help reach this goal with him. We had six of us searching for the caches. It was very eventful morning, with a cache around each corner. This one was just one of our caches for the day and was a excellent cache to add to our mix. TFTC.

I joined ask277's team bright and early this morning as our goal was to find 27 caches by lunchtime (yes, we succeeded! Thanks for this "run" of caches, Blackrat1414. We found 21 out of 24

Out this way for other business and did some caches along the way.

Was another quick find at this one but the pen decided not to work so had to resort to charcol sticks to sign the log.

Perusing the geomap, as you do, the other day when I spotted my smilie had fallen off the map here. Hadn't realised it had been reincarnated. This morning I was at the Arena to watch geokid1's school swimming lesson so I called in beforehand. Very pleased to see this was an easier find than the previous version. Quick find and smilie reinstated. TFTC Blackrat. Still need to get that damn roundabout one. Aaargghhh.

Have not been up into Black Rat territory for quite a while... But a couple of new caches to find was enough of a draw.

Out on this hot Sunday to pick up more NOR caches.
I assumed it would be quiet being a long weekend and a very hot day forecast. How wrong was I!!!

Thousands of young people had descended upon Joondalup for some music festival and to make matters worse, some roads were closed so we had to take detours. We even had one puzzle that was solved and this too was inaccessible due to the temporary high fencing placed around the arena.

Along with ooh yeh and MNS13, a quick find was made here.

Back up this way on a very hot sunday with skippy 46 and MNS13.
We picked up some more Felix caches and got some of the Machman caches but our main aim was to do a lot of the Blackrat caches today.
we didnt do to bad we ended up with 29 finds and 5 DNFS.
Half the caches were found quite quick but a few took a bit of searching and some were very tricky to find.

In the area today with Skippy46 & OOH YEH trying to bump up our find tallies.
It was quite a bit warmer than expected today, we still managed some good finds though.

Overall we made 29 finds and 5 DNF's
Most of the caches were found quickly, but there were a few that had us searching a bit longer.
