Logs
It's December, and to help me achieve one of my Geocaching goals I need to log 300+ caches this month, which means an average of ten a day. I started off well, but had a glitch in the middle which has left me behind my target. Today I was aiming for 30 finds (I got 28) by walking up the ridgeline trails here. On my way to my starting point , and I couldn't resist stopping here for a quick first find of the day.---Thanks to tmann421 for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge
**#19,128**Thought we were in South Africa for a minute... Durban? oh I see, the sign, haha.TNLN TFTC
hoped I would see this as I drove past to another cache, no, but I did find it when I parked up rather quickly, tftc tmann421
Coming from a city in South Africa called Durban (before moving to NZ)... I just had to visit this cache as it's a little piece of home away from home. KiwiKatieG did the honors of log signing for us. TFTC and bringing us here.
Out with RsaRhinos on the way to meet the folks for lunch. Had to stop at this cache as it reminded him of his home town. Log was really wet. Seems the o-ring has gone on the bison tube. Have placed the log inside a ziplock bag even though it’s R.I.T.R paper. At least inside the bag it will be protected a wee bit. TFTC KTG
Quick find in a part of Waikanae I haven't been to before. Took back to the car to sign. Surprising how busy this road was when I was trying to return the cache. Thanks for the cache
Quick find while traipsing back to the car after a long bush walk. Cheers tmann421!
Found it a little earlier today! Nice simple cache on my way to do the hiking walk
Nice to come down to the back areas of Waikanae away from all the craziness of the town

I was looking for it with my friend Sophie so if anyone sees the names Mikayla and Sophie then that was probably us (written with quite neat handwriting I must say )
Checked on cache today, waterproof log ok-ish, container fine - like the way when they painted the sign posts, they painted a bit of the cache as well!
From Auckland.
Dankie/TFTC.

Nice stop to find after coming off the Te Au track. All quiet at GZ, all good in cache. Tftc!
Nice to finish with a smile! Tmann you rock! Many thanks for the mahi in placing and maintaining these. Have had a tough week and thought I’d head out of town for an adventure, and despite the weather I had a blast! 2 dnfs, one puzzle up top (was way too wet to stop there) and the loadstar trail for another time! Thanks again
After finding a few caches along the Te Au Track we grabbed this one on the way out. A nice quick find here. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this geocache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
Couldn't resist doing this final cache after completing my walk up the Te Au track and doing Tmann421's power trail. Instant find here. A little bit damp but that didn't worry the waterproof paper. TFTC.
Decided to spent some time around Otaki and Waikanae picking up some caches. Finished the drive by ones and now time to stretch the legs on this loop walk. A good climb up and great views at the top. Managed 22 in total. Will need to return for the ones along the far ridge top.
Enjoyed the level of hides. Often took a few minutes but the hint was always specific enough to give me hope and continue looking.
No problems finding this one. Durban? Well the next house was surrounded by South African flowers so maybe?
Thanks tmann for the challenge and the smileys.

Thanks CO for the cache series, enjoyed the walk. Lucky that there were no muggles around today.
Good, simple find for my 10 year old. If you’re scared of spider webs, wear gloves!
Hint and quite accurate coordinates makes this hide nice and pleasant!
Also the place itself.

A quick easy find.
The (D?) urban area seems to be expanding with a new subdivision further down Huia Street.
There do not appear to be any other entries in the physical log since the CO replaced it.
TFTC which enables me to complete the Modern Wonders part of the souvenir promotion.

Replaced log with waterproof paper, reason for cache name has been painted out recently but if you look closely you can still make it out.
A local cache for us. A nice easy find. We lay in the grass and enjoyed the sun before walking back.
I came up the coast today to boost my numbers for September.
A last find in Waikanae. No sign of the D but after a bit of searching, found the cache. It's even picked up a bit of camouflage! Retrieved the log, signed, and replaced. Then it was back down the road towards home. All good here. TFTC

Found with Kiwi Mico a few months ago but only logged today. It’s a bit wet but still able to sign. TFTC
Last one of 13 caches located today on a walk with the geohound up the Hemi Matenga Reserve track. Collected this one after a challenging but rewarding excursion up the hill and back down again. This one was a quick find. #2331. TFTC.
Found cache in logical place. Paper was quite wet, so, as the sun was hot and muggles were few and far between, sat by the roadside while the paper dried. It is only damp now. Thanks for the cache.
A quick find while hobbling a couple of KM back to the car after my ankle roll on the way down the track. Cache was lying on the grass so returned it to where we thought it belonged based on the two-toned colour of the container. Unlike caches on the trail the log paper is not waterproof and is getting wet to the point it could probably do with being replaced fairly soon.
Quick and easy find. Found with TwigNZ. Signed the log as "T & T" Thanks for the cache
I had been eyeing a few trails to do on the weekends I have my son and decided to go hard out today to see how many caches we could do in and around the Hemi Matenga Reserven an afternoon. We were lucky enough to be blessed with reasonable weather, when the forecast had been for showers, so that definitely helped us to get a great result.
I apologise in advance for the generic log, but there was no way I would have been able to write up each Cache as I went along, so am logging them now in bulk (sort of)
We thought we'd grab this one on the way to the start of the trail.
Quick and easy find. Signed the log as "T & T" for myself and my son (Thatweirdguy04).
Thanks for the Cache

Sth Africans nearby maybe? As soon as I saw it, I knew where the cache was likely to be
Awesome spent about 5 mins looking, took the kids down to find this one as it's so close to the house. This was their first find
A quick grab of a few caches after completeing the Akatarawa traverse.

Last one for the day. A new record for me with 27 "Found It" in a day.Great walk, great caches, thanks tmann421
Cloudy and drizzling as we search, soon found and returned. Greetings from UK. TFTC #7204
When I saw "eclipse tin" and the likely location on approach I thought I knew what I would be looking for but it turned out to be a different type of hide. Still quick to find. Had to wait out a dog walking muggle gradually approaching for what seemed like an eternity. Difficult to know what to do while you're waiting without looking like you're waiting for them to amble past.
Not where I expected but a nice quick find anyway!

# Nice and quick - still make it to work meeting after #
This was a lovely and fairly quick find, nicely hidden and very handy to the car which was a huge blessing as it had been a busy day, I had rushed home from work feed the family with the nice crockpot Lamb stew then jumped in the car to return a mattress to a wonderful friend (or our son would have been sleeping on the floor last weekend as friends stayed). Then checked in on Geocache thinking there no way we will have time to find one before racing to a work meeting but just down the road there was Durban Area. I was so happy as we are fairly new to this and wanted to try for at least one each day. I like the tricky ones too but thank you for this simple and family friendly cache.

Out and about bright and early for a caching trip to Waikanae area today. Having been part way up Paekakariki Hill Road and into Queen Elizabeth Park, now making my way into Raumati and Kapait before heading to Waikanae. Now time to leave Waikanae, but there's still time for a couple of caches on the other side of the highway - especially with the lure of a trackable.
Quickly found the cache, but alas no trackable to be seen - in fact the last logger's name doesn't appear on the log sheet either. Signed and returned after a muggle dog walker made her way past me. TFTC

I didn't understand the cache name on the find but after driving back from the next cache up the road I spotted it, haha, very cool.

Was just talking about Durban this evening and then recalled this cache. Quick and easy find. T4TC
Found with TregearP during our first walk in the Hemi Matenga Reserve. Beautiful bush, views and bird life. A great loop track but we only managed the caches on one half as we were on limited time. We will be back!
All in good order, TNLNSL, TFTC.

A good day for a walk in the area, beautiful bush and the birdlife was lovely with hardly any other people out walking. TFTC
Ninalila and I decided to go for a walk in the bush not far from the place where we stay.
It w as a really nice discovery, great walk and beautiful view when we reached to lookout.
We had the chance to hear the deers roar
The caches were well maintained and easy to find thanks to the really good hints
We finished the walk at night but we found all the one we searched !
We logged with our team name : Lekiprokos
Thank you to the owner for the caches

fefe.adrien and I went into the bush to walk until the lookout. The view was very nice ! We could see the mountains of the South Island, then the sunset on Kapiti Island... Moreover we eard the roar of some deers !!
Finally we decided to make all the loop track, it took 4h including the research of boxes.
This serie is fun and pleasant, hints are very precise !! Many thanks because it helped a lot when satellite reception was not so good. Highly recommend this geocache serie !
We found all the boxes and we signed on logbooks with our team nickname : Lekiprokos

sorry for the copy and paste logs, it was a bit of a walk up the hill to stunning views, Kaleb was shattered by now and the walking up the hill was not something he wanted to do, so managed to get the ones we did with the plan of coming back to grab the rest this week if weather is good as my sister is keen on the walk, thanks for taking the time to place the caches and the different types have been very welcomed.
