I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

It's bad when the owner can't find the cache Considing this lost since all the objects and landmarks that were around or covering it are also gone

This cache seems to have been stolen/removed. Possibly kids (school holidays) and some uneducated adult. It was overdue for maintenance but hadn't got to it (2 hours away near family holiday house)

Checked in case this was back in action but (to us a least) it appears not

Found the spot. Unfortunately had to look around to find the cache container. Bottom was in one place, top in another with a few bits that may or may not belong elsewhere again. I couldn't find the log and unfortunately didn't have any paper to put in.

My phone GPS is pretty rubbish so I put the container together and left it by a big rock but pretty much out in the open just in case it's not in exactly the right place.

Out with Red Roaming on our tour of New Zealand, which we are loving. What a nice sunny day it is now, after a very wet start. So after drying out and having lunch at the hostel we decided to venture out again. Cache found with no problems. TFTC

Heading to Rotorua to try and find the D5/T5 that we managed to qualify for whilst on a caching trip in Christchurch. Departing this morning the sun was shining brightly but it was thick fog all through Hunterville. It came good and we decided to stop off at a few on the way north to try and boost numbers.
Bit nervous turning in here. My husband was a child when they were involved in an accident at the turnoff to here from the main road. Although the intersection has been improved to give more visibility it is still very dangerous and brings back bad memories. Found the grassy area and drove close to the spot. A short search and hubby had it in hand. Signed and replaced as found. took nothing and left nothing. TFTC

Indiana Jill and I stayed on for an extra day to continue the hunt. Also, to avoid the long weekend traffic.

Having a morning drive around the south-eastern part of lake Taupo before heading back to the event in Turangi. Lovely walk through the park. TFTC.

Zara, Etherlord and I are done with the mega and so are heading home to Palmerston north - via Tauranga! slowly making our way to Taupo and stopped off here - encountered quite a crowd of geocachers doing the same as us - taking the slow road home.

A nice walk in the park led us to this geocache. Thanks for placing it HoboNZL and Etherlord Clan. We are searching for a few geocaches before heading back to Turangi for an event as part of the NZ MEGA. We found this one and happily signed the log. Cheers and thanks!

On our way back from the Mega. We don't live far, but there are quite a few caches on both sides of the lake that we haven't found yet. We don't have a lot of spare time (shopping and chores to do when we get back) but we stop for 2, just to add a couple of smileys to the map. Found easily with sveppi driving the GPS and fanfan-77 driving the car.

After saying goodbye to Turangi, I headed north and picked up several caches I skipped on the way down due to rain. Lots of people here, all cachers. TFTC.

Having completed the Tongariro crossing, had a change of clothes it was time for more caching before returning to the Turangi MEGA.

I was initially going to pass on the one and get it another day but figured I should grab it while I was here. Glad I did. Coords are about 10m out which made it difficult to locate

My last target in Te Rangiita was this one in the lovely reserve. first i was upset because I disturbed a young mother playing with her little child just nearby the cache. But she immediatly realized what I'm looking for and so she loughed and show me the little box.

Off on a big mission to find all the caches from Taupo to Turangi with 11hpg11, kiwis69 and HKCB.

We drove right up to GZ for this one, made for a quick find! Everyone jumped back into the airconditioned car whilst I did the logly duties. Theres a bit of nostalgia in this area as I attended camp here back in primary school, nearly 20 years ago.

A bit of a last minute throw together caching mission today for a clean out run through Taupo/Turangi area with 11HPG11, Kiwis69, Kyb3r and myself. We thought we'd forgo our usual meticulous planning and just wing it for a change, though I couldn't help myself and I spent a few minutes working out a basic plan last night. With a 4am start this morning, we had a long but pretty successfull day, with only a handful of DNF's, though I think all but one GPS's had issues today (mine being pretty much useless) and achieving most of what we roughly set out to do and with the bonus of getting home before dark (just). We signed the logs with 11HK693R, a combination of our user names. A big thanks to all the CO's for placing all the hides.

#1652. Heading south on our way back to Wellington and picking up a few caches as we go. This one was close to the main highway so stopped for a few minutes. Raced over to the back of the reserve expecting an easy find. But couldn't see any hint objects close to the GZ so searched a bit wider and found a lot of them. Searched through hoping to see the cache there. Nope. Then checked the GPS again and it was pointing somewhere else. Headed in under trees and saw the obvious hiding spot. Soon had cache in hand and signed the dry log book. All good here. Returned as found and back to the car. Thanks for the cache.

Out and about on another fun-filled mission with a bunch of Hamilton cachers to pick up as many Taupo caches as possible before our 6pm curfew. Today's caching crew included myself, HKCB, 11hpg11 and kyb3r. We were missing a couple of regulars from our team which was a shame, not least because it meant inventing a new caching name instead of our usual abbreviated caching combo; challenging when our vowel hasn't fronted up! Hence why the log was signed as a bit of a nonsensical mis-mash of our names. Having cached and dashed our way around Taupo, we're on our way towards Turangi hoping for a few more finds before it's time to hit the road home. All quiet around here today and a nice quick find. A bit of a spur of the moment caching mission today, I don't think any of us were fully prepared but that is sometimes the funnest way to go... apart from when you have various GPS issues... grrr.. Today we decided to tackle Taupo and Turangi area and try and clean up as many caches as we could before we had to be back home to our families. Our team today consisted of HKCB, Kyb3r, Kiwis69 and myself and we had a few different names through out the day, either HKPG693R or 11HK693R depending on how tired our brains were. An early start, left Hamilton at 4am to make the most of our 'day off'

We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Today we drove around the Lake Taupo. Of course some caching on the way. We had lots of fun and saw many nice places and caches. Thanks for the cache!

Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!

15th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland.

Following a run list of caches that were targets on our journey north on Friday, but not achieved, we headed south on our way home with a full agenda. This was one of these caches.
Nice to be waylaid and shown a gem of a reserve away from the madness of SH1. Thanks for that.
A straightforward find on this one.

My grandad and I found this cache while on our fifth day of our New Zealand trip. We were driving back to Turangi after returning from a day trip in Taupo. Decided to drop by this one on the way back, parked nearby and made the walk to GZ. Nice little reserve in the town, soon found the hide before continuing on our way. TFTC!

Out on a road trip North and time for a few caches on the way.
I discovered a Challenge cache to collect 400 minutes earlier today so that has now become my focus as I drive north and this one ticked the box.
It took me a while to find this one. Not quite where I had expected.
Cache #43 and my last cache for the day. Time now to find a bed for the night.
