Took us a while to get to the right location so disappointed not to find the cache!
Came here about a year ago and couldn’t find it. Today I decided to try again. I searched and searched. Just about to give when I spotted a spot I hadn’t searched before bingo CIH
A warm sunny spring day and went OCW Oldmorty in the Ryde area. Arrived at the culdesac and found an easy path to GZ. After searching the obvious, read some logs and widened the search. Soon spied the sneaky hide. TFTC!
OCW morty8888 in the Ryde East area today. Second cache for the morning. After searching for several minutes we broardened our search and morty8888 got the prize in a place that I'd previously looked, obviously not well enough. TFTC JordsAu.
TFTC found with geomum Bluewattle and geosister Bluewattle Mini. Lets get this vault open. [:8]

TFTC found with Bluewattle Junior and Bluewattle Mini. On the hunt for clues to the vault
An interesting location, after a brief scout lower, I found the way into the the GZ, and scrambled to what looked a likely location.
Glad I’d brought my torch in the gloom of dusk, I peered within and realised I’d be stretching the limits of my reach.
I eventually managed to grasp the container, signed and replaced.
I can imagine this may become impossible to retrieve if the debris below the cache subsidies much further.

Did not find this cache after searching at the coordinates.
Maybe CO can confirm if cache is still at this location.

I decided to go for a jog in an area with unfound caches. This was the fifth I searched for. I enjoyed the section along the creek, both on the way in and out. I started my search at the "logical place" near GZ, but logs gave me the idea to search somewhere else, also likely for a container - CIH. TNLNSL, TFTC

While working my way down the creek from Fox Road i noticed a couple of muggles near the GZ.
I went away for 10 mins and came back and they were still there.
Ill be back another day.

Today we headed over to East Ryde to continue with our short walk and "park & grab" cache hunting, and to collect some solved puzzle caches. This was the 2nd of 15 finds for the day.
After rectifying a DNF from the other day, at GC6JH3C Blamey Park, we next arrived at this one. Parked the geomobile at the end of Fox Road, then headed off through the bush and down the side of the waterfall to GZ. Checked in a few spots before uncovering the hide and having CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Initially didn't get the cache's interesting title, but then read the cache description and it made more sense. TFTC JordsAU.

After the CITO event at Wallumattagh Reserve, we walk downhill to the closest cache. Rather than walking the easy grass foot path, we walked the last 250 meters through the bush.
With a large group of geocachers we started the search. After a few minutes I found the cache on a different place than expected.
Thanks for the cache JordsAU!

#1777 went down for this one after the CITO with a group once near GZ it took us a while to find the cache. After we stumbled around looking in various different spots. In the end Boswijk Posse made the find.
We all signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache JordsAU

Searched for a while then rechecked again and ther it was right where geo son looked before
We were searching here for about 20 minutes, looked at previous logs and searched over again and used caching sense TFTC
Located at 9:36pm. OCW Coastblue. This was an interesting trek in, with tumultuous footing and spiderwebs galore. Cache was found soon enough, log signed and replaced. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
OCW Alephroom. Once we were at GZ, Alephroom made an extremely quick find but getting there was a different story. We almost didn’t attempt this one because it seemed pretty difficult to get into the park and it was dark and there are spiders... but we found a semi decent way in and continued on carefully and slowly. I caught a web with a huge spider in it. I freaked. I also slipped trying to get around a fallen tree. All good - anything for the cache! And soon after we had the CIH. Worth it! TFTC!
We approached the cache from Fox Road, ehm.. twice as we had to return for a pen later After some fruitless searching we decided to read logs of previous finders. Aha.. the coords are slightly off. We guessed which direction and had CIH in no time. On our way back we still checked out the Blue Gum drive access. What a nice area! Thanks

My main targets for today were 3 JordsAU caches in East Ryde followed by the Old School Challenge cache in Lane Cove for my 1500 mini-milestone. I'd read that some could be tricky hides, so was hoping the caching gods were on my side today (after 2 x DNF yesterday).
2 from 2 so far but this was the one I was concerned about. Came in from Blue Gum drive and made my way towards GZ via the waterfall. Spent far too long looking in the wrong places using my iPhone torch. Moved to some other options and then my cache senses spotted something ever so slightly out of place. Continued to trust and was rewarded with CIH. Wow - everything going to plan so far!

I parked at the end of Bluegum Drive as this looked like the closest access point. There is no official access point to the reserve I did see a track down from the road.
Once near GZ you are confronted with 50 or more locations of where to hide a cache. Okay, right then, let's start systematically. Because the signals jumps around a bit it's hard to narrow down a firm GZ, and with previous logs mentioning it's out by about 6m or so, that still leaves a lot of options.
Fortunately I was able to search in peace as it seems the people 'above the wall', who have spoken to other 'treasure hunters' were not home.
After about 25 min of searching I finally found the sneaky hide, and indeed it was around 6 m from where my phone was saying it should be.
Nice Hide JordsAU
There was no trackable in the cache.

After finding some caches in Gladesville I stopped by here on the way home.
I started searching in the obvious places, where my phone and GPSr directed me, but eventually read some logs which prompted me to look more widely. After a few more minutes I had CIH.
Nice hide, thanks JordsAU.

It was good to rectify a previous DNF as I couldn't do it for two other ones today. I just had to search a little further along.

No luck with this one. I gave only a cursory examination to the obvious hide(s) as other loggers had discounted these. I had no success with the other possibilities as well so may have to return, probably in 12 weeks.
Walked in from Bluegum Drive and squeezed ourselves down to GZ. Searched for some time and the owner of house above the wall asked us if we were treasure hunting. In the end we found the cache about 6 meters off our GPS's which doesn't excuse it taking longer than needed to find.
I was worried the heavy rains could have affected this cache by the creek but after about 20 minutes I was glad to discover that was not the case. Came in on a little track and found a big Dragon hiding in the wall before I decided that was not the best place to look. Not a bad little hidden creek this one. Check out the hideous pink house nearby...God! [xx(]
BEST. FIND. EVER. I originally decided to go home after finding Hodgson Lane, but I saw an opening to the park, so I decided to go. Went the wrong way at first, and the ride to the cache was slippery. Really tested my riding skills. Note to self; don't ride a BMX bike off road D: Anyway, I persevered and got to what I though was the GZ. I was wrong. Had go take my bike across the stream and up the steep bank, only to take it down again when I realised where I was. Searched around for a while, but to no avail. Just as I was planning what to write for a DNF log, I spotted the camo. Pulled it off, and TA DA! It was there! Hurriedly ran back up and signed the log. The picture in the cache container gave me a laugh. Back to the hidey hole, and time to replace it and go home. Few cuts and scrapes, dirty legs and shoes, even dirtier bike, but it was all worth it. Deserves a favourite point. Thanks for this amazing hide JordsAU.
Hunted around for ages. I think I needs some assistance from the CO who has lots of caches in this area. It would be like trying to herd a chowder of cats.
Wow almost 1 year since the last find !!
It was a very tricky GZ with almost unlimited hides but I persevered and finally found i

Great little spot down by the creek,
Today however we lost so to speak.
No cache here was found but however don't fear,
I'm sure we'll be back to find this one here.

Best location ever even if we didn't find it. Had so much fun navigating a route down to the GZ and took tons of happy snaps haha thanks for the fun!
After "Falls Creek by the same CO", drove and parked up the hill a bit, before work.
Navigated the slope without slipping and headed towards the sound of water. Checked iPhone torch as its dark with Nav arrow pointing towards the house now and checked a few crevices first, then spied the item, thus a quick find, cheers JordsAu

Coming here as usual with no GPS device and nothing but a rough hand drawn map was a bad idea. I had myself and my poor friend roaming about the (nicely kempt) forest for close to one hour, looking in every crevice and nook we came across. I even had us searching by the wrong house for a while too, but finally we managed to realise our (my) mistake and get back on track. After we were in the right area, we still had a lot of trouble, a lot of slipping in the water, twigs to the face, spiders on our legs, and an ever present foul odor. We even got chased by a dog at one point. We were hanging out on a rock, resting and deciding to go home when I spied a possible camouflage attempt, and there it was!
I thoroughly suggest people to approach from the Blue Gum road way.
Left a NZ coin, took the Indonesian 500. Thanks again Jords!

Down for a quick haircut and noticed a 2/2 I'd neglected. After checking earlier logs, I focussed on the other likely spots and found it in the third. You could spend a long time here but the the stream flowing well today, it's not a bad place to be. Thanks JordsAU.
Second time lucky here, I just ignored the obvious and by dent of elimination I eventually found the elusive little sucker and logged it. Thanks JordsAU, very sneaky.
This took a bit longer than it should have, with me searching the obvious before remembering an overheard comment by Rainbow Spirit at Falls Creek saying it wasn't there. So expanded the search area a bit and eventually had the thing. Last for the day after the 15 year Anniversary Event. Thanks JordsAU.
I'd left this for a date when I needed a find but was not overly hopeful this would be it due to past logs.
Parked the car and headed into the bush with a wave from the couple in the nearby house.
On the way out she called out, "either you're the quickest to find that or you've looked at the wet terrain and given up."
It's good to know I'm the quickest finder but sadly not the first.
The GPS hadn't even powered up but I thought I'd start hunting and found the cache immediately.
Had a chat with the neighbours before driving off. Don't ask her for help, she's not going to give the game away.

After being told I was I the wrong spot last time, I widened my search area and soon made the find. Then back to the car for a pen!?!

Was back in the area today and armed with a hint I returned to the scene of my DNF. Keeping well away from the obvious area I searched something else and made the find in a few minutes. A hot afternoon so it was nice to be by the creek. No one around at least. Signed and replaced.
Thanks!
Thanks!
At last. Trusting GPS and realigning myself the well hidden cache was in hand. Nice spot - this time I walked a way down the riverbed. SL. TNLN. TFTC
I came in from Bluegum Rd and was quickly at GZ. I'd read other logs and searched the area mentioned for way too long without success. Got a late PAF which didn't quite work out for me and I gave up. Later found out from another PAF that I'd been looking in the wrong (hide-rich) area. Another time I guess.
Parked nice and close then Geodaughter and I headed downhill towards the creek. Found an easy place to cross and then after walking a bit further we needed to cross again. Got to GZ and checked a couple of places before finding the correct one. Lots of lizards around but we didn't see any cats or aquatic creatures.
Now where was that pen that went into the pocket before leaving the car? Arrgh. Took the direct route back to the car and then returned with another writing device to sign the log. Thanks JordsAU.

This was my closest unfound to home. I needed to do some maintenance on 2 caches of my own nearby so used the opportunity to come and hunt for this one. I tried to be as discreet as possible given the proximity of the house. I lined up the back wall of this house and searched a few spots before finding the right one. The big mystery for me is the title, which I have failed to connect in any way to this cache. TFTC
Spent a long time here and came away empty handed. The lady in the house immediately adjacent knows about the cache as she leaned over the fence and asked "Have you found it?" Apparently an earlier finder had explained to them after being mugged.
Found at 4:36pm. After a day of caching in the general Ryde area, it was just a matter of time before I went in for this one. I was trailed into GZ by the CO who watched as I scrambled around for a couple of minutes. A nice little pocket of greenery down here. I bet the kids love it.
Anyway, it didn't take long for me to come up with the cache which was well-hidden in the end.

We decided to do some geocaching on foot after dropping our geocar for a service in Buffalo Rd. We had to walk a lot more than I thought and was very tired in the end.
**********************************************************************************
Last of the JordsAU caches we did today. We spent a while looking for this feeling very tired and hungry when we got the call saying that our geocar was ready to be picked up after the service. We found it difficult to keep looking after the call and decided to give up. We will come back for this later.

A quick stop by, and the GPS lead me nice and close. Walked down and started searching, but something didn't look right. I then moved around and saw another possible hide. Checked and BAM made the find. SL, TNLN and replaced. TFTC.
7/09/14. 6:42 AM. Cache #1824. Current Streak: #77 days. Happy Fathers Day to all the geoDads out there. My own FD commitments meant that my only option for caching today was to get up at sparrow's f**t to pick up an early streak-saver and be back in bed before geogirl wakes up. I chose neither Echidna Path nor Wombat Way, as the closest entry point appeared to be the end of Blue Gum Drive - in fact my app was telling me I was 26m from GZ while still sitting in the car and there was an entry to the park here. If I had to name it after an animal like the other 2 routes, it would be Leech Lane, as with all the water about they were certainly on my mind, my paranoia stemming from a couple of recent cache trips. #sooverthisbloodyrain.
Picked my way down to GZ - hundreds of hiding spots around here; where to start? The sat photo had me lining up with the back wall of a nearby house, so with that in mind I tried a few spots that lined up. It took me about 10 minutes until I finally found it in a good hiding spot. I signed, expecting to be 3rd but looks like digby23 was here yesterday. Took the Race Ya Foxy Fam TB to move along. Back home again - the whole trip under 30 minutes - and there were no leeches, whew! Now as I'm typing the log, the heavy rain's just come back, so that was good timing. TFTC }:)

I was in the area having another go at 'Buffalo Boardwalk' (without success!) so I thought I should try something an easier difficulty rating.
I came in from Blue Gum Drive and thus avoided having to cross the creek... As other finders have stated, there are a number of hide options here and the 'tracks to nowhere' were just red herrings - probably laid during the previous searchers. This was not a typical Jourds style hide so it had me looking in the wrong places for longer than I should!
All in all a good piece of urban bushland. Try heading down the creek if you are inclined to take in more of the beauty of this area. The creek meanders over rock and under bough with various waterfalls along the way. Quite charming.
Thanks Jourds for a findable hide!

Saw the start of today's publishing frenzy, and this was the closest - not that close. Jumped in the Hademobile and rushed - to the extent you can on Victoria Road - to GZ.
Parked on the other side of the reserve (in Melba Drive) and walked through the park to GZ. My problem then was how to cross the creek.
Spotted a way and started the search. There are a few places that could hold this hide, and 5 minutes of searching secured the prize.
CIH.
Completed signing duties and realising the way I took to cross wasn't nearly as safe the other way, so found an alternate.
Another quality GZ location from JordsAU - worthy of a favourite point.

2TF! Probably the closest I'll ever get to FTF! I've always wondered what was down this big patch of grass from up the top of Melba Drive. Coords had me looking in a fair few different places, including someone else's hiding spot for some special looking "herbs"
