This one is a bit strange - we had received a message through the message centre stating that the cache had been busted and scattered. The message writer stated they had put it back together best they could. They did a great job cos you wouldn't know! (Much appreciated)
However, it has been muggle before and also cachers keep replacing it in a position subject to overflow from the nearby pond.
So, this one has had its day. As the ground track to this one is clearly frequented by after hours party people, we could find no other suitable location, and so therefore this one has had its day.

Found all in good order.
Some local wildlife was guarding the cache... Is this the smoke on the water?

Out and about on Fathers' Day collecting some caches as a present to myself. This was the first sort of park and grab and easy enough with assistance from the hint. All good with this cache as I creep up to the 1000 mark. tftc Slow Puncture
I was down in the area late this evening and thought that I might grab a cache before heading home. After a quick check of the map, this cache looked like a good contender.
I found a spot to park the car and then started my way toward GZ. It was quite dark and I was lucky enough to have my torch in my geokit (for once, I had put something back where it belongs!). The issue now was, where was I going... I was using the old GC App (as we all know how awesome the new App is) and for some unknown reason, it was like I was GC'ing whilst drunk...!
I would look at the map and that would look true, then I would go to the compass and it would then tell me that the cache was behind me. Knowing that the cache was not, I would walk towards it, the 'distance' would count down but then... The compass would then flip to the right, then left, then behind and then the 'distance' would jump to 4.5kms?... Nope, in the pitch black, I did not have time for this exorcist rubbish and stormed back to the car to get the good ol', never fail, always working and true... GPSr.
Once loaded, I followed it along and was soon where I needed to be. I looked here, then there, then over here and *BINGO*, the cache was found. Upon opening the cache it was a quite damp so I did a dry out and went to sign the log... DARN IT... I DIDN'T PUT MY PEN BACK! So I stormed back to the car, AGAIN, and got a pen... Back to the cache, AGAIN, and my name was added in with the others before I... FINALLY!
Thanks for the cache Slow Puncture (LJCC). Looks like there might be a little moister issue here.

Wow what a quiet place and quite pretty with the wildlife doing their own thing. This one did have a very wet log and we put a new log in the dry snap lock bag. It was a lil surprise when we found it TFTC
I had my camera and equipment with me today and this was the perfect spot to grab some snaps of local birdlife. Even had 2 black swans pose for me. Such a lovely spot.
Found the cache but unfortunately it was absolutely full of water, both the inner and outer containers.
The log book was a mushy mess and no way could i sign that.
Luckily i had my backpack of goodies with me. I signed a temp log and double bagged it hoping to keep it dry.
Maybe the CO should make a maintenance run.
Thanks for hiding this here. Recommend it to any keen bird watchers.

We really enjoyed the location of this cache, but it hasn't survived the weekends deluge. The edge of the lake was lapping up against the cache and clearly it had been underwater and only the anchor saved it from being washed away. We emptied the water from the container and tried our best to dry it out, but it was dark and with one wrong step we were swimming. Unfortunately couldn't sign log, and it may require a maintenance check. Tftc
Out and about on the deepest dark side today. Touring around on the geocycle trying to find some smileys. Not too bad a day out - a couple of DNFs and a couple of DNLs, but mostly finds.
This one was nearest to my parking spot. Nice and quiet here early on a Sunday morning. A nice easy one ot start off with.

While out with Barney the Beagle and using as much of my free data as I could for the day (thanks Telstra), I spied this one and we set off. Sneaky little spot that could easily be missed. A quick find at GZ. Loved the case. Two out of three geocaches in an afternoon means I may have finally found my geocaching mojo again after a bit of a break. TFTC.
Finding the right way in took more time than finding the cache. Quick find once on the right path. TFTC
Was in the area and decided to stop for a quick grab. Lovely spot. Wasn't sure I was going in the right direction at first but I perservered and found the cache! Thanks for the cache, Slow Puncture!
Quick find. Loved the location. Suburbia with a bit of secluded bush walking.
Kids enjoyed a play at the park before we had to leave to avoid the swarm of blood sucking mozzies!

What an interesting location. I wonder who planned the layout of this area?
It certainly is great for the wildlife.
I found the right access and soon spotted the hide. All good with the cache . TNLN.

Took a minute or two to find. Log is dry but inside of container was damp. TFTC. I enjoyed the hunt.
Smilie #2366
Headed north to raid some caches & bring a little more sunshine to our map via conquered smilies!
This was our sixth for the day.
What a great little park & recreation area.
After a short walk I found myself at GZ.
That was when I became distracted from the task at hand.
A bit of a splash & commotion amongst the water grasses revealed a water fowl.
Nothing unusual you might say BUT this water fowl was like none I'd seen before.
Over the past ten years, in the course of my travels, I have photographed hundreds of species of birds.
I have NEVER seen a water fowl like this one.
The body-shape & head of a Purple Waterfowl yet this one was White with patches of black.
I will be looking further into this as I believe it may be either a hybrid or perhaps a bird with recessive genes.
Photos taken on the iPhone but very blurred & indistinct.
I'll have to snap a few long distance ones with the camera when I get back to the Geo-beast.
OK! Back on track!
A quick find, once I got back to looking.
TNLNSL
Made my way back to the Geo-beast.
Grabbed a few snaps across the water & now it's time to move onto the next find.

A relatively quick and easy grab. Contents were damp but log was fine. TFTC SP
Ha....found it ...it did take a bit ....GPS did a bit of jumping around ...TFTC...nice spot ,to wander around ..
Gotcha !!! A few days caching after the Mega while Mrs Temingi is in Melbourne. TFTC
My daughter had to bring her car up to North Lakes today for repairs and I followed to drive her home until the car was fixed. On arriving she was told they should be able to fix it today which meant that we had some time to kill until it was done. Nothing beats caching when you need to kill some time so off we went.
I was sure my GPS was trying to send me into the middle of the lake here, however I followed the path around and eventually it lead me to the cache. A black swan landed in the lake while I was retrieving it, unfortunately I couldn't get a decent photo of it. What a lovely cache guardian though

Found @ 1325 hrs
Working down and around North Lakes today adding a few smileys to my collection.
I parked near the play park and made my way to GZ. It was long before I found what I was looking for. The outer container had water in it, so I dried it out with some paper towel I was carrying, just for this particular reason.
The inner container was dry as a bone, just the way we like them (Now the name of the cache makes sense).
I signed the before replacing the cache exactly as I found it, just a bit drier.

Found it Thanks to my bro he found it in a matter of minutes after I described what the clue meant. :p
The junior DisSisters were participating in a workshop nearby which gave me the chance to nick out and grab this cache, dropping in a TB I brought over from Perth. A lovely quiet spot overlooking the water with a few birds happily chattering away in the background. Nice quick find. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC, Team LJCC.
I have had the tune to this in my head ever since I found it earlier this afternoon.
Again my GPSr and phone didn't help with my search for this cache, but before too long I had it in my hands.
Log signed, cache replaced as found - all is good with it.
Thanks Slow Puncture for the cache.

Found quite easily once I got to GZ, all in good order, replaced to same position. Thanks.
My three month Brisbane adventure has started. Day 31, Redcliffe.
Today is hot, but not quite as ...
No 11 of 14 today. Thanks, Slow Puncture (LJCC). Nice cache, and a new log sheet. The GeoSchnauzers and I enjoyed this walk. It's getting cooler - the storm's coming.

i know why the cache called smoke on the water but the log notebook sooo wet!!!!TFTC
Following some informative logs regarding the sogginess of the container and logbook we finally got around to visiting.
Well! No wonder. Some "helpful" cacher had replaced it not where it had come from originally. Yes, whoever you were, you did put it in a more hidden spot, but that's pretty useless if in wet weather said spot is a watercourse
Anyway, now it is all dried out, new logbook, and we have taken the opportunity to slightly re-locate it to an even better position. Hopefully now it will stay in this position.

We enjoyed checking out all of the eels, fish and turtles in the water before we headed off to find the cache. We eventually found the track in to GZ and located the cache - it wasn't what we were expecting. The log is totally saturated - you might have to re-name the cache "Smoke IN the Water"! Some maintenance is required. TNLNSL TFTC
Very nice area to wander through. Light breeze to keep mozzies away, and lots of birdlife to view. TFTC
Even without taking a look at the description when I was out hunting this cache, the song was the first thing that come to mind. Although not the Deep Purple original, it was a more recent cover that actually quite a good track to dance Zouk with a partner.
Anyway I wandered across the park, barely able to resist doing a little dance to get to the cache. But soon enough was already there at the GZ. I was a little worried when I saw where I was to be looking.
Unfortunately soon enough my worst fears were concerned when I found the cache, yes the log might be inside two containers, one very nice to match the theme. But the log was soaking wet, so wet that I could squeeze the water out of it.
I was able to get my name in the log not entirely on the page I was hoping to, but in there none the less. I replaced the cache as found, but maybe the CO may like to consider relocating above the high water line.

Drove to Brisbane for a few days, and grabbed a couple of caches in the area.
Located the cache after a short search, but log and cache are very wet.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Team LJCC, for us and others to find.

Today's journey was about doing some inroads into the increasing numbers of unopened green boxes on the peninsula, so I swung by here for a look on the way back home.
Nice little spot this - was wondering where my GPSr was taking me for a moment, but great spot, nice hide and a good hint. All good.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 11:50am. It was an interesting walk round the lake to GZ. The cache is in good condition and easily found. TFTC
The kids had a lovely play at the playground whilst I walked around to this one. It was very pleasant walking to the cache and looking out over the water. A different hide indeed. TFTC>
An absolute original, thanks for the memories, I think Mum had one of those. Easy find once I did the requisite GPS circle dance. TFTC
Out and about today with IolantheK for a bit of caching on the north side.
Most of the caches I found today, IolantheK has already found, but this was not one of them so we teamed up for the search.
After a short walk around the 'lake' we quickly make the find.
Thanks for the cache.

Out doing a numbers run with Brother Colin to help him prepare for a big milestone coming up He got 27 finds and I got 6 A bit of a wander around the lake to this one, and then the hint helped a lot. A quick find for me. TFTC, Team LJCC.
On the way to the cheesecake shop this afternoon to pick up dessert for my niece's birthday so very convenient to call in and grab a smilie on the way A bit of wandering back and forth before the gps settled and we had the cache in hand. Had to explain the relationship to the cache name to the geogirls who had not seen one of these before. Tftc once again Team LJCC.
Found at 1143. I think I have this tune in my collection somewhere. anyway the cache was an easy find and it was only when I was telling my partner what the container was I gave thought to the name of the cache. TFTC.
Headed down to North Lakes after visiting a cache in Burpengary.
Parked nearby and made my way to GZ.
Decided where it could be and zoned in on it and found it.
Loved the container.
On the way back home, I had to brake suddenly as a driver's car veered to the left and hit the barricade and then careered backwards to the wire fence on the other side. I would have been hit if I didn't brake sharply and stop on the freeway. I pulled over to check on the driver's condition and he was ok. The car was a right off.

After taking a couple of wrong turns, we soon had the GPS counting down the right way. Walked straight past GZ on the first sweep, but eventually we were back in a good spot.
We were trying to guess in advance what the container might be, but we didn't guess that.
Very clever
Log signed, cache replaced.

I fell on the rocks when I was seeing if I could cross the road made of gravelly stuff, but I fell, and then I got up and I didn't even say ouch. Daddy found the cache but I stayed because I didn't want to go. Thank you for the cache.
Find #1152 at 12:55 with MissGeosie, while Palopinto minded a sleeping MissSuzie in the car.
This one took way too long. The GPS wanted me in the water, so I chose an obvious spot that made a lot more sense. Unfortunately, it was the wrong obvious spot
As MissGeosie fell down the rocks we both explored the area but eventually I moved to the right spot and spied the cache instantly. Hah, nicely themed container -- not sure how long it will remain dry here, alas.
Thanks for the cache, Team LJCC. Now I just have to get that $#%@ riff out of my head.....

I heard on the grape vine that a cache had just been released. Hmm, wow, we are driving past North Lakes at the perfect moment We made a turn at the lights and were close to GZ in a flash! As we started the stroll to the cache I saw the red rocket pulling up, haha! We had arrived even quicker than Angela&Dave. We waited for Angela to catch up and then we all continued on.
When we reached GZ Angela went one way with my munchkins and I went another. We all poked around a bit and then Ang called out the victory chant! Yay, she had found it! Upon opening the logbook we were happy to see a nice blank page and that we were the ones to take the *FTF* After signing the log we replaced the cache as we had found it.

Not feeling the best but when a cache comes in so close to home, how can I say no? Quick change and into the Red Rocket. Being sick does no good to my map senses so, I'm glad there was no other traffic on the road!
As I come towards GZ I spy a familiar Spangle!! Yay!! It's Nyssaflutterby and Co! We join forces and head in.
Had some interesting finds before getting on top if GZ, things I might have not seen if not for the curiosity of the little Nyssaflutterby signets! Hmmmm
Ok. Nyssa goes left by I'm almost certain it's right. We admire the view for a short moment while signets look for the cache with no luck. The clue gets read out at this point just as my cache sense kicks in and I aim directly for a specific location. Gotcha! Glad my cache senses are only on pause! Feel like it's been a little while!
Thanks Nyssa, great to see you and the signets again!
