### Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process. It certainly needs to be checked by the Cache Owner. The cache owner needs to:* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating, or the posted coordinates.* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute that is present. Otherwise :* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information. **Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**. Alternatively:* Archive the cache and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by TazScout and to take it off the playing board to prevent further inconvenience to our Geocaching Community.[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been taken by the CO.If nothing has happened, I will conclude that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache. *Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition and waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches. Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.Thank youBalayang -GeoffCommunity Reviewer

Tasmania Trip Day 12. This is my final day on the Tasmanian island. I have two counties left to do and went to visit the two old caches in the Launceston region before making my indirect way to Devonport. The short walks went smoothly and I found enough caches to finish my target of all the counties in Mainland Tasmania. Once I reached Devonport I took a chance to have something to eat and have a rest before lining up to get ion the boat. Not quite as well done here, but we made it. The crossing starts in the rock and roll, unlike the other way. I made it over without any upsetting issues and will head back to Canberra tomorrow. The area by this dam was my next area of interest with another old cache to find and a few more on walking trails near by.Thanks for the cache TazScout46118.8 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2009 Compass Rose Gold Matt A#157**Albida**
Travelling around Tasmania on our family holiday with TT016, PrincessAria1 & LittleG00sE.
Today we are in Launceston, staying for a couple of days.
After visiting the National Motor Museum this morning, it was time to go find Tassies oldest cache so we headed to the Trevallyn Dam. We had a picnic lunch then had a look at the dam before finding a couple of caches in the area.
It was a lovely day for a walk. The cache was found quickly, signed & placed back as found.

Getting away for a mountain biking trip with friends, we had planned on a holiday to Derby during 8-13/02/2022. For the most part, we spent our days MTB-ing Blue Derby (Black Stumps) trails, as well as riding Blue Tier Forest Reserve's trails, such as the upper section of Bay of Fires, Blue Tier and Atlas. There was an opportunity to find a few geocaches in Launceston before driving to Derby, and on our final day with our flight departure in the evening, we travelled back via Scottsdale and Lilydale, and visited a few spots around Launceston such as Cataract Gorge and Trevallyn Dam.
Today, with the majority of the group departing quite early back to Adelaide, it allowed a full day of heading back and checking out Launceston with our evening departure. We checked out Legerwood's awesome timber sculptures, before proceeding around Scottsdale and checking out a Bridestowe Lavender Estate. Other highlights including Tunnel's railway tunnel, and Lilydale waterfalls. After enjoying a Launceston bakery lunch, we then visited Cataract Gorge for a few hours (whilst completing *Launceston Cataract Gorge* Adventure Lab), walking along the gorge, and then proceeded to the lookout at Trevallyn Dam. Our final drive then took us to northern Launceston in Invermay, before checking out the City Park. A terrific day checking out this quiet Tasmanian city.
What a great dam, and I really enjoyed my visit here today! After checking out the dam views from the dam platform, I took a walk along the nearby trails, visiting three of its nearby caches, including this one. This geocache didn't seem to be the most creative containers or hides, which seemed surprising given the 12 Favourite Points having been awarded here. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks TazScout for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We spent quite a while walking about in circles trying to get the gps to settle. I plonked myself down at 10m to read some logs.....no help there! PP1 said it was about time I got off my arse & helped with the search. Now my titanium knees make this a complicated process. I started by putting the gps down while I rolled over into a perfect downward dog position being careful to not actually kneel down as that results in excruciating pain. As I did this I noticed the coordinates settling to within 1m and just by my left hand was the crafty hide, which I had been sitting on the whole time! TFTC TazScout
Down in Tassie for a break before Christmas and continuing our travels around the country, wow the countryside is absolutely glorious. Happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC
Took a run here this morning as part of my marathon training schedule. On the way through I couldnt find this one but got very lucky on the way back and basically stepped on it! Thanks for the cache
Enjoyed the walk this is the first time we have been this side of the reserve.
Initially cursed the thought of a micro in this vast bushland, then after searching for about 10 minutes cursed even more. But then the gps settled on a particular spot and there it was. So in the end instead of cruising I give it a favourite point for being a very well considered cache. TFTC

I am glad that one was quicker than your last one TasScout.I am making the most of an afternoon leave pass from my dear CotE and it is a great spring afternoon on this beautiful track. It is good to be out after rain has had me stuck indoors, and of course there were chores to complete when it was fine yesterday. These old legs and the inactivity from pandemic restrictions mean that I now have a fair indication of the work in front of me. The rocky steep bits of this track are testing me....
If I looked with my eyes. Picked it up looked put it down kept looking came back and it was now on top. Note to self trust your equipment, don't think it should be somewhere else because it looks like a hide location.
out and about with Lil Rafa caching, got to this GZ and only found cutting grass wasn't until search was widdened that the tricky cache was spotted, everything available was shifted and searched even a kangaroo. TFTC TNBPLB log dry a nice day for a walk.
Thanks for the cache TazScout.
RLD4963 and I were in Launceston for the weekend. This was an area we had visited before, but we had the GsoGSP with us then so we couldn't take him along this walking trail. As the GeoGSP was back in Hobart at his doggy pet resort, we decided to do a few caches in an area that we couldn't when we had the GeoGSP.
This one wasn't a great start to the walk - we spent quite a while here, and we referred to the hint and previous logs a few times before the cache was finally revealed. Don't love nanos in the bush, so just glad to be able to tick this one off.

Did a maintenance check on this one last week and replaced the log, and given it's still being found is all good.
Thanks for finding it everyone!

It was a nice stroll along the trail but went round and round in circles at GZ.
GPS zeroed about 5m from where we eventually found this challenging hide. Think the 1.5 Difficulty is a bit low for this one though.

I had given up but Mr wouldn't and eventually found this one. Hidden in plain sight! Tftc
Found this cache while out for a fun walk around the dam, it was very crafty hidden but a lucky check found it quickly
In the last couple of days we've travelled from our native Hobart to Launceston for a bit of a Queen's Birthday long weekend getaway. Today we ended up with a three-pronged mission: we began our day with a visit to Royal Park, followed by a bit of a walk at Trevallyn Dam, and finishing up with a bit of caching around Mowbray.
For a variety of reasons, we decided we'd only walk the track half-way to "Dam nice spot" (GC4YVAW), leaving this cache for the return journey. Upon arriving at the posted coordinates, we set about searching, not really sure what exactly we were looking for. There were plenty of potential hiding spots for a micro that we dutifully checked, but we didn't have any luck, and the GPSr kept directing us towards a spot that had very little in the way of feasible hiding spots.
Acting on a bit of a hunch, Mr Nataliec1234 examined a very slightly unusual object in the area, mostly just intending to rule it out as a potential hiding spot. He was just about to return it to how he had found it, when with a double-take he realised he actually had the cache in hand!
Due to lack of space in the log, we've signed it as "NC1" instead of our usual moniker.
Definitely a fairly sneaky cache, but in a beautiful place, so TFTC!

Tassie Trip Day 189 - This was a day the it was decided to collect the oldest cache in Tassie and along the way we found a few more to add to the list of found caches. It was a wonderful place for a drive and a great day to see some sights.
Whist the rest of the team took the vehicle to the other end of the track one walked along the track and collected this as the first cache along that track it was a interesting find and a great cache to find.
Thaks TazScout for this nice little stroll.

On our tour around Tassie we made here a quick stop.
