Out n about with Mr converting some green to yellow to spread some sunshine on my map. Beautiful SPRING day …Had some good finds and laughs TFTC camels cute
Decided it was time to get away from the city for the day. So we headed for the hills to grab some cache!
Touched base with Tiger777 this morning to get out of the house for some caching. We were on our way out to Darlington and pulled off Ridge Hill Rd briefly to see if there were caches nearby, when I noticed there was an FTF in Carmel. We quickly changed plans and met up with others in Carmel once we got there.
Was able to sit down on the cool water pipe on a hot day to sign the log. Hint helped. Cheers Fernandogirls!

A quick find here today of an obvious ammo for a cacher.
SVKR_WA and I hadn’t been out for a while and with one FOTT down south and others with work commitments, we decided to hit up Allied’s series and Laxa’s labs. Started the morning at 6.30 to do the top end first.
Many thanks to Fernandogirls for placing and maintaining PIPE DREAMS. I was here at 7:35 am on Monday and this is my find 9754.

I spent a lot of my childhood walking the pipeline in my home town. I enjoyed this - thanks for adding a smiley to my map
We knew exactly where it would be as we walked towards the location but it does blend it well with its surroundings.
Thanks for the quick find.
Thanks for the quick find.
Out for an afternoon of geocaching while the geogirlfriend went to a wedding. Beautiful weather made for a great day on the bike!
A quick park and grab on the way home, no issues here!

Up and out about early with Parkacruz to claim a few smileys, we headed out to make a start on the Wandoo Series and any that jumped out along the way. After a quick search this clever cache was soon in hand and a smiley claimed. We managed 109 finds & 7 DNFS for the day TFTF

After lunch in the rain (we didn't book at the nearby restaurant and so had to eat in the beer garden), and after a very wet DNF at your cache down the road. We found this one after reading the hint. Sneaky. TFTC!!!!
Out on a lovely Sunday drive with PommieParkin2 in the Kalamunda / Lesmurdie hills, picking up a few caches. Another quick find here this time by PP2 as we head for home after an enjoyable time up in the hills TFTC Fernandogirls
WebblyWA & I joined forces once again, this time our target area was Kalamunda/Lesmurdie. There is plenty of scope here for us as we have hardly touched the area to date. As it turned out I was little more than a chauffeur cum secretary (and I did not do so well at that because I put yesterday's date on most of the logs). Thankfully Webby was on form & I did not hold her back...too much.
I did find this one but even then I think Webby spotted it first & hung back to let me 'find' it.

Left early to try and find as many caches as I could before I have to go home. Hoping to get at least 30 today so I'll have a total of at least 100
Drop by again on way home, to show my geo-daughter this one. Had a pen so signed log this time. The log is full and needs replacing, unfortunately we did not have anything appropriate. Again TFTC!!
Out and about in the hills today after helping my brother with some odd jobs. My aim is to get a few of the older caches to help complete my Jasmer Challenge.
This one took far longer than it should have. I knew what I was looking for and where it would be, but didn't spot it for a few minutes...
Found okay, and added my name to the logbook.

Headed out for a day of caching in the hills, this was one of the little treasures on our way home... This cache was a quick find, although it did take some time to retrieve as the road was very busy today
TFTC Fernandogirls Cache was in good condition.

Back in the Hills again to find a handful of the apparently infinite amount of caches to improve the stats a little bit.
After walking about 10k-s I hopped in the car and decided to do some park and grabs on the ones not far off the roads.
Parked 1m from cache, quick find on this camo. TFTH

Great name for this cache and one of us was aware of the athletic connection so we knew what we were looking for.
A nice quick drive by to start my afternoon's caching.
Thanks for the cache Fernandogirls.

Super quick park and grab, right next to the car, woohoo! Just right for my tired legs after the mountain bike race today. Thanks for the hide Fernandogirls!
I was on a maintenance run to the hills to check on my cache 'What do cachers do all day' and used the excuse to find a few caches whilst up there. This cache was one of them. TFTC.
Found it. Stuck my hand in the valve thingy and got ants but great cache and never had that type. Had nanos like that but not the nut one.TFTC
The fourth day in a row that I have been able to come up this way and track down some hides. The cache density around here is very conducive for quick finds to keep the numbers rolling along. Ended up with six smileys in about an hour. Not that it's all about the numbers!!!
Number five for the afternoon. Pulled off onto the side of the road here to go for the quick park and grab. Hadn't read the hint so didn't really know what to expect. Jumped out of the car and made my way the 10 meters or so back to GZ. As I got to the object a couple of quite large dogs started going ballistic across the road. Luckily I made a quick find of the cache as I had seen this type of thing before.
I took the cache back to the car so as to be out of sight of the now foaming at the mouth Bullmastiff's to sign the log. That seemed to work because they became quiet only to jump back into life again when I went back to return the cache.
I was quite glad to be moving on, what with the noisy mutts and the fast moving traffic.

Should have found it in 2 minutes as it was where I thought it would be, but could see the tree for the forest. Mmmm
The obstruction on the pipe is an air valve to allow air to enter and exit the pipe. If the pipe is drained, the pressure falls, allowing air to enter the pipe, equalizing the air pressure within the pipe preventing it being crushed by the outside air pressure. It also prevents slugs of water remaining trapped in the pipe. These slugs can then release at a later time causing damage downstream. I heard the story many years ago on the Canning Trunk Main, and the pipe had been drained but the air valves had not been checked. The valve had failed to open with holding a large segment of water. Downstream a workman had removed a manhole and was about to enter the pipe when the valve opened and the slug gave way. He was blown out of the manhole. A little later and it could have been a tragic accident.
Of course when the pipe is being filled, it allows air out of the pipe. TFTC

Found with richlink as part of our day out in Kalamunda. Thanks for the cache
Having grabbed 'Salt' (GCY3NM) and 'Channel 10 Tower Walk - 01' (GC13DP2), I found myself just 310 metres away from this cache with my car in the opposite direction ... I decided to walk here even though I knew that this cache was a 'park and grab' type hide, and that I would be driving past GZ a little bit later on. It was a nice walk, s I didn't regret the decision. Found the cache after reading the hint.
Signed the log. Thanks for the hide Fernandogirls

I decided to come back up to this area again for a few hours of caching before it got to hot. Cache was found quickly but a clever hide TFTC Fernandogirls
We're on the third of these recently placed caches this morning and found this one quickly too.

I was at work when the new caches notifications came through and I had to wait until 5.30pm to consider the FTF run. I checked the phone after work a noticed that no one had log a find so in the car from Canning Vale to try my luck. On the way the police were doing a Booze Bus test and I had to wait to get through this traffic. I headed up the hill and as I approach GZ , I was on to it. with a quick feel around and I found it...TFTC...**FTF** at 6.00pm
