quick stop on our way back out to the main roadsuper quick easy find took coinleft green ribbon
Time for one last cache before heading home and this was it.Nice quick find.TFTC
After having a DNF on this a while ago I mentioned it to the CO who kindly went out and checked on the cache. It was there, I just couldn't see it. Today I was in the area so I decided to fix that and have another look. And what do know?, when I arrived the GPS took me straight to it! Easy.I remember doing the K8nCo caches in the area years ago, they were always a highlight to find. TFTC
Had a couple of DNFs so went to check. Still in same spot. Coordinates accurate to 2 metres. Still covered by wood.
I had a look around for a good while but no luck finding the cache.A 'DNF' for me.
Caching before school, there was a bit more bush bashing than anticipated. It's probably there we just ran out of time before school to find it.
Found it after back tracking to avoid thorns. I was sidetracked by some other things in the vicinity but then discovered the cache -nice and dry. I have taken the travel bug to continue it's travels.TFTC
Catching up on my logging. Shazzar66 and I had a plan to go caching close by. I was in the area a little early, so I stopped here on the way to look for this cache. Im a big fan of K8nCo caches. Living for such a long time at Albany Creek, there were many memorable K8nCo caches in the area that I discovered with two of my kids. So creative and so enjoyable for both kids and adults. Fast-forward twelve years or so, and my caching adventures re-commenced. Thankfully there are still quite a few K8nCo caches around, and still a few I havent yet found,The journey to this cache was definitely plagued with a bit of uncertainty, worrying about what lay in wait beneath the long grass. On arrival near GZ, I discovered some interesting relics, and although on first glimpse I disregarded something, I should have looked there, as when I went back, there was the cache, complete with its own cache guardian. Thanks, Team Benders, for creating this tribute cache.
Find number 7 or 8 for today! I’m loosing count.
Long grass and some pointy vines slowed us down making our way to GZ. Only one scratch and a small amount of blood. Sarah got her hair stuck in a vine too.
Sarah made the grab and signed it for us!

We visited this area on occasion of a CITO event in July and went afterwards on a geocaching tour.
We found this cache and signed the log.

Team Benders I found your cache K8'n'Co's Kingdom on 30/5/2023, 12:20 pm. This is my find 5460 and find # 4 today. No problems locating the cache, just negotiate the long grass. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

Was out this way for an early morning event. And I thought I’ve got time for one more.
The grass was long but that’s caching.
Once at GZ after looking up with no luck I looked in another direction and made a quick find.

Thought it was my first time on this road but possibly I was here on a rural safari in 2022 as there was a familiar object.
This was a quick find.
Thank you for hiding

I had read previous logs on this cache and wondered how bad it was but I didn't find it too bad. I have worked through a lot longer grass ( One of my hides is a lot worse).
Once at the search area it didn't take long to locate the cache.

#1, solo outing this afternoon while visiting a friend in the area. Hmm, long grass. Best get this over with quickly. TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
After spending a few hours geocaching with IolantheK today, first The Cursed Pistol and then a few others, I decided to finish the Camp Mtn AL and this one was along the way. Grass a bit long but all good with the cache. Tftc
Found on a day out with Teamnanabombana. Travelled up from Canberra for the weekend - felt like a blissful summer day today, TFTC!
From the road we only had 20 metres to travel, but we could see the long grass ready to envelop us. Normally when grass is tickling my ankles, I know it is time to mow the lawn. When the grass is long enough to tickle your nether regions you step carefully, but also know you are going to get a good massage without the happy ending. When it is up to your chin you need some high vis clothing just to ensure you don’t get lost.
I’m sure there was a time when we saw long grass and chickened out. These days we just seem to barge in and hope for the best. One day I must remember to pack a whipper snipper to clear a trail.
The cache was found relatively quickly and when we turned around the path we had made on the walk in had disappeared, just like my dreams of growing up to be a famous actor. tftc

Today, with geocaching partner busy with a medical appointment over lunch, I decided to take a few hours in picking up a few geocaches around Camp Mountain and then returning via Samford Conservation Park. I was anticipating heavy rain all day, thus planning on a few home garage projects, however the rain held off, thus allowing geocaching outside rather pleasant. Several nice parks and creative wingaap geocaches were found, making it an enjoyable outing.
I parked, and trudged through the long and wet grass heading to GZ. The hint wasn't too helpful in my search, but the cache didn't take long to find in a logical hiding spot. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Team Benders for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. I certainly appreciate K8'n'Co's creative caches when I come across them!

I've done a few of k8n'co's caches over the years, the most memorable being the box the bus and the bicycle near the storey bridge. Still one of the best caches I've found to date.
Found quickly after braving the long grass.
Thanks team benders for the dedication cache!

Thanks for the dedication cache and taking us here Team Benders. We love K8nCo's caches too!
Out for the day with E_Smiley and smallwombat, we made this find together.
A lovely hide in a beautiful bushy area. It was such a great day to be out. Plenty of sunshine, laughter and good conversation as we made our way through a number of geocaches is in this area.
Thanks teambenders. A nice dedication cache for K8’nCo, whose adventures we have also enjoyed over the years.

Long grass and thorns? The grass is unavoidable but if you keep a keen eye out, you'll miss the thorns.
Haven't done many of K8'n'co's caches but the ones I have have been memorable. Lovely that you have a tribute.
Thanks for giving us another reason to stop along this trail.

Cool hiding spot! Beware you have to walk through long grass to get to the cache! Thanks!
Nice cache lots of thorns and prickles around though. Found with Erm_the_Worm and CatMother06. TFTC!
Spotted a couple of caches not far from each other around Samford way, two of which fill gaps in a chart we have running somewhere. The dog needed some exercise today and so did a junior geocaching prodigy. Packed the car and off to the north west. This dedication cache was first on the list. Parked very close by (the dog was not impressed) and into the Bush we went. The prickles were found with little effort, as we wandered in a reducing circular direction. When we thought we were within a couple of metres, we tried to spot the obvious but nothing jumped out as a definite. Eventually the cache box was discovered and we sat down to sign the logbook. All is fine and dry with this cache.
Our family have found quite a few k8’n’ co caches over quite a number of years, and it is hard to pick a favourite, so very glad to see this dedication here. Thanks for the cache team benders.

k8'n'Co have certainly put out quite a number of great caches. Great to see a tribute to them. cache safe and dry.
Having found many a brilliant K8’n’Co cache over the years I was pleased to see this tribute. Not as pleased to be captured numerous times by thorny vines at GZ! Cache was found safe and dry but hide may be at risk from roadworks office happenings. TFTC Team Benders
I would hate to be doing this in summer, as even in winter the grass and thorns were prolific. There’s going to be roadworks in the vicinity, so I hope it doesn’t compromise the GZ for this. K8’n’Co are very high on my list of most-admired cache hiders, with so many utterly brilliant and creative hides. It’s lovely to pay them tribute.

Ouch... thorns indeed...
I recall many years ago organising a geo-day where the primary targets were T.A.R.D.I.S. And Dalek.... my friends and I certainly appreciated the effort that went into those caches and the many, many more created by K8’n’Co... they have quite a few of my fave points...
Tftc... left some American coin...

Gave this one some love today as it had not been found since August last year will give it a favourite as I have heaps of them points to give atm. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.
A really horrible thorny area to be searching in. We were certain the cache was in a certain spot and looked over and over and could not find it. Shifted focus some distance off and it was a quick find.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive #246 days. TFTC Team Benders #1623
Took a minute for the phone to settle on a location then had to ponder an appropriate way forth. Spotted, retrieved and signed. Thanks.
Out in the area today and dropped by here along the way.
Thanks Team Benders for entertaining me at this location.

Monday. We couldn’t let this cache go without trying to have a sneaky find on it since we were in the area anyway. The lantana has really taken over this spot for sure! Luckily we spotted a likely spot through the underbrush and I decided I would do the honours of bravery and go in for this one. Container and log are in excellent condition and log was signed, I beat a hasty retreat from this possibly snake territory as there was some movement nearby whilst I was signing the log!
This was the 4th of 12 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Team Benders***, for showing us this place.

Having spent the day caching nearby with NyssaFlutterby and Wombles&Co it was time to say goodbye so they could head back in time for school pickups, so I took a minute or two to see if there was anything else I could grab before I too had to be on my way. I I initially saw a small cluster of caches I was going to try to get, but soon realised I would have to drive a significant way around to get to these so decided to leave them for another day. However on my way back down this road all of a sudden I noticed I would be driving directly past this cache. Well I couldn't do that without stopping and turning it into a smiley now could I?!
Pulling the geomobile up I headed over and wondered where the geotrail actually was, until I saw something that looked good enough to use as an entry point and started stomping my way through the long grass. And as I did it became evident that I was on the geotrail.
Nearing GZ I began to notice the asparagus fern growing and hoped it would not pick a fight with me here today but then I came to a little sheltered area and was fairly certain I would escape unscathed (unless a snake slithered out at me from somewhere of course).
A quick search and I found the cache and therefore knew the whereabouts to Mr CO's kingdom.
Thanks for the cache Team Benders.

Out & about on a puzzle hunt to clear a few long & not so long solved Mysteries!
While this cache is NOT a Mystery it was along our route so a quick stop soon secured the cache & another smilie.
I wasn't trouble by lantana, thorns or ticks at all today.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

I have had my eye on the Catweazel series since our first encounter with two of them back in January '15. Today seemed like a good day to go caching, despite the somewhat inclement weather. We invited GT64s to join us. All up we found 26 caches while traveling the circuit.
We were actually looking for Catweazel No 1 - from the wrong end as it turns out - but we couldn't leave this one out even though it wasn't on our list to do today: we know the CO!
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 2.35pm on 10th September 2016. TFTC

A quick stop on the way home from a caching trip in the area today with Wombles & Co. and Rhobocacher. There was LOTS of long grass, and as our smartphones and gps' were not playing nicely we got the opportunity to walk through most of it before finally finding the Kingdom. The log was signed and the cache returned to it's hide. Tftc Team Benders
Wow this one I was a little uneasy about with all the long grass and the gps sent us in the wrong direction finally we found it and signed and got out of the long grass. TFTC
We were not happy to see all the long grass and then my gps lead us through much more then we needed to go through! Eventually we got there though and I spotted the hidey hole!
This was my last cache for the day, 10 for me. The others got a couple more that I'd already found.

Very close to home and a quick find once through the spikey stuff according to the piglet Tftc
What better way to brin g in Spring than with some caches. Decided to head towards Samford and try my hand. First stop, this one. Parked within 20 metres. Wow, look at that growth. No bashing sticks in sight but have umbrella. So armed with my weapon i bashed my way through grass and lantana, only to be confronted with a mass of prickly vine over a treed cavern. Well that looks like the spot. Now to get in. After 10 minutes of bashing finally. Yay, container on hand, aigned and returned. Earned a fave. Tftc
Beautiful winters morning. First find of the day

I was supposed to be racing this morning, but it had been cancelled because the trails were too wet in the Redlands.
So now I have to find something else to do. [|)] Hmmm I could start my geocaching road trip and go find a cache with at least 10 favourite points.
I had earned my souvenir elsewhere and I had enjoyed a nice little ride around the forest trails near here.
Time for one more before I head home.
A nice easy one to finish with thanks. [^]

After completing a nearby circuit, some of us headed to this cache, as Brother Colin and I had not found it. We parked just off the road and headed to GZ where Brother Colin quickly located the cache. We signed the log, returned the cache to its hiding place and made our way back to the cars
Out and about after a hike nearby for a friend's 1000th find.
A quick find here on our way to lunch.
Thanks for the cache.
