As for Mango on Mudgeeraba this is not a nice place to visit anymore after the recent flooding. The flooding seems to be becoming more frequent and so this one will also slip quietly away and into the archives.
A fav point for showing us a black bean tree and persimmon trees which have fruits are the moment!

Thanks for hint- description perfect!! Thanks for the cache! Grobuddy replaced/ added new log - old one wet.
Myself and Mr Duck were out today grabbing a few local hides. We walked down to the GZ for this one and began studying the trees and examining the large seed pods - very unusual, i don't think i have seen these before. It took us a while to settle on a location, but after that we soon had the cache in hand. Cute container! Thanks for bringing us here and teaching us something new. SL TFTC
Ahhhhhh so many bugs all around me! But beautiful spot I never knew of! Thank you so much for this!
Only time for a quick cache hunt this afternoon, so this ine will have to be it. Parked nice qnd close and headed into the scrub. A nice little area that youve brought me to. Very peaceful. It took me s minute to figure out which tree had the big beans on but once I had that nut cracked the cache find tumbled shortly there after.
Cute little container... not at all what i was expecting. I git a good laugh from it.
Thanks for the cache and Bringing me here.

I was in the area looking for another cache that satisfied the requirements for a challenge cache. Having found that cache I decided to hunt for the rest of the locals.
This is a new cache since I was last hunting in this area. I parked nice and near to GZ and headed on over on foot. I had a nice quick find at GZ.
I was opening the container when I could hear a group of mini muggles approaching. I made a dash back to the car just in time. The mini muggles popped out of the bush very close to where I had been. They then decided to hang around for a while.
This was not such a bad thing. There was a nice picnic table for me to sit at and have a snack. Whilst I did that I left the soggy log from the cache sitting in the sun to dry.
The mini muggles left eventually and I returned the now dry log to the container and put the cache back where it belonged.

I don't think it made it through the last deluge about 1st May 2015.
Could not find anything although we searched.
Thanks for the hunt Perusal
Will keep this one on watch

I was on the GC and had some free time to get a few caches. I had picked out a list of possible caches and skipping ones which appeared to be missing.
This was No 20 of 27 finds for the day.
It was interesting to see this bit of history being preserve. I checked it out as I disappeared into the scrub.
A bit of a detour to get to the search area and an easy find. The log is damp.

A little tricky navigating the long grass and thorny trees but once made it into the bushes by the big black bean tree the cute little cache was soon in hand... seems someone has been a little rough with this cutie and the latch is broken... logbook is a little damp but ok

This is an excellent location, quiet and with a lovely little peaceful view of the water. Turning around I was able to notice something amiss, which of course turned out to be hiding spot.
Thanks to Perusal for placing this cache.

We are out today picking up caches that are new to Mudgeeraba since last week were down this way.
At Blackbean we ducked through the door way into this hidden bit of forest. Mosquitoes popped out of everywhere to say hello but luckily it was a very quick find and we said our goodbyes and stepped back out into the sunshine.
Thanks for placing the 791st cache that we have found so far Perusal!

Quick find this morning while I was in the area, don't have a meeting until 11 so I figured I might was well go caching, as you do!

What a lovely surprise here. Thank you Perusal for showing me another part of the Gold Coast hinterland, and for teaching me about our flora and fauna. Some erosion is visible in places but we still have the creek with its twists and turns. And of course some magnificent trees. Little pieces of history thrown in make the caching experience extra special.
Found today after a brief search and nature study lesson on persimmon and black bean trees. Cute container. On holiday from New Zealand and have learnt the names of some Australian tress other than gum. Thanks for some good caches around mudgeraba stream. TFTC
What an amazing tree with incredible fruit! This is an interesting area of the extended park. We have thoroughly enjoyed the tree and creek series.
Thanks Perusal, very nice caches with fun containers.

Today, the geocaching duo of ¼ of TH4, as well as geo grandpa, went on a hunt through the Mudgeeraba Creek area. It was a pleasant winter morning and a total of four geocaches were found. The locations and containers were all stunning! Thank you to all those who placed those caches!
Arrived at this location for the second time. Last time we found the other cache near the car park but had to abandon this search as it began to heavily rained. Finally, we are back! A quick detour through the bush (along a track I assume has been created by fellow geocachers. A short searched was necessary but soon enough we were saying "what's that?" and retrieving the cleverly hidden cache from the tree. I thought the container was really original and cool - a baby version of an ammo can. Due to the location/hide/container we are awarding this cache with a favorite point!

JacobNZoe recommended we go on a hunt for this one & glad to have followed their advice. Quite the adventure for us, this one made us pull together & work as a team, which is one reason I love Geocaching with the family. Cool spot for a GC, we signed the log & replaced in its spot. TFTC Perusal!
What an awesome little clearing and geocache, amazing little spot that I had no clue about even tho I went to school at the school near by haha

I decided to go in search of some trees and cobbles in Mudgeeraba on a Saturday arvo.
I had visited this park before in search of some other caches (There is even a GCA cache hear) so decided this was a good spot to start my exploration of Mudgeeraba.
Thanks for the cache Perusal. I haven't seen one of these little guys for a while.
Find number 1934.... so here is something you didn't know (or maybe did know) about 1934...... In the year 1934 the first ute was produced by Ford in Geelong.

I find it a little ironic while caching mentioning taking a break from the drive, considering that half the time I spend more time on driving breaks finding a cache then I spend driving. Anyway taking a little walk around the three cache near to this park.
This was my second and I found a sort of little geotrail into the area. It was quite nice to see the small creek and almost thought that I needed to cross over it, however the GPSr was just having trouble keeping up and maybe the trees did not help either.
As I was starting my search I heard a thud on the ground and realised one of the blackbean seed pods had only just missed me, oh the hazards of geocaching. So I pushed a little quicker to make the find before the tree decided to improve and get its target. Found and log signed before moving on for the third cache nearby.

Such a cute container! Where can I get one?!? Initially overshot the entry and ended up at a dead end. Soon recalculated and forced our way through the shrubs. I made the find. Some little kids on the other side of the creek stopped to say hello, not sure what they were doing alone but never mind.
Because we knew there was a good pathway from Mango on Mudgeeraba to here, we decided to walk the 1km rather than driving. There is something remarkable about this tree - I'd love to know how old this one is.
Nice to actually find this one. After finding the cache we spent some time 'racing' blackbean pods in the creek, Peter won, I think he found a better part of the rapids to place his 'boat'.
Thanks for the cache.

What an interesting tree, I had seen these before and now I know what they are! Hubby found the cache easily, very cute! On the way back to the car we picked up an entire bag of rubbish from the area around the bins. sad!
Love the container! Don't be discouraged by the overgrown path leading into the bush. Tftc
Petan alerted me to the 3 metre flood height that had been reached after one huge overnight down pour. Even though this one was 2 metres above the creek and I thought safe, alas the little turtle has made it's way down the creek. It will float along with my little frog from Silky oak on Mudgeeraba, and emu from Blue Quandong on Mudgeeraba. I wonder where they will end up. Only two out of five on Mudgeeraba, survived this flash flood. I will have to rethink this one. Sorry.
We hadn't read the cache page and weren't too sure what a blackbean looked like but it didn't take a lot of imagination to spot a likely specimen. A nice secluded spot away from the throng of muggle parents for school pickup that had gathered in force. Loved this clever cache, thanks Perusal.
Another beautiful afternoon after work heading around the Mudgeeraba area looking for caches.
I parked the car and walked to this one and the other 2 near by.
The GPS had we looking over there first before changing its mind and pointing me over here.
Love the 'attachment'. [^]

It's truly amazing that the people in charge, hang on to Mudgeeraba's heritage. I think this is the only place I have seen a protective fence around some old trees, well done.
I didn't realise the bank dropped down past the tree line so I left the keys in the ignition and headed in under the trees. I headed straight for the creek at first to take a look. Then I noticed a white box of some sort hanging in a tree on the other side, mmm whats that I thought. The sun was peaking through the trees and was shinning in my eyes a little so I was moving around a bit trying to get a better look. I looked down at the water and spotted a log that would make a good stepping stone, so I walked over to make my decent and that is when I nearly had a heart attack. The sun was still causing me visual problems and as I went to step down I saw a snake coiled up. I immediately through myself back tripping over backwards and landed on a tree. I had shivers running up my back, cold sweats and everything. With eyes the size of dinner plates I picked my heart up off the ground and went back to have a closer look. Ahh what the heck! it's an old push bike tyre that has folded up on itself, what an idiot, hahahaha. The box will have to wait for another day.
I spun around and headed for the tree with the giant beans. I was on the right side so I spotted it quickly.
Thanks again Perusal, I'll never forget this one.

We left the car in the car park to do 2 caches in walking distance to each. This was an interesting cache and found in a great spot. TFTC
As we got closer to GZ we looked up and there were the (green) black beans. Richmond Lad was the brave one and ventured in to locate the cache - someone has to watch out for muggles!! TFTC.
By the time I got to the location Richmond Lad had found the cache and signed the log for us all. Great spot.
A top day out and about caching with Couchmen. Around 30 caches found, mainly new stuff that had came out in the last week. Two puzzle caches and a multi in the bunch as well. A few short walks undertaken, and a few really good hides in the bunch as well. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining there caches.

I was out with Blacklegend today and even though we were starting later we were both looking forward to a big day.
BL had seen these ones come up when he checked the map so we headed here to grab them first.
BL was still getting misguided by his GPS so I came upon the treasure first, hidden in its little enclosure.
Thanks Perusal TFTC SL

Well, well, well. Bristracker was disappointed not to be able to head out to these but she alerted me. I wasn't home so hadn't got the notification. I was parked at a workshop with the caravan attached and so not possible for me to go either. Now.........it's a FTF opportunity.....sooooo, - if I detach the caravan and explain to the guys why I had to go, I could come back. I had no idea where to find the caches so had to wait until I got to Mudgeeraba and ask the iPhone app to hunt for nearby caches and then find some that didn't have a smilie face. This is the second cache I came to find of the three this morning.
Perusal: again you have found a lovely little place that I could imagine would have been a fun playing spot had I grown up here. The blackbean is a magnificent specimen as well I was interested to learn of the persimmon trees and see their fruit. I reassessed my entry location to the hidden fairy dell and worked my way over to the cache trying not to leave a geotrail. The cache and it's guardian were found quickly and I was excited to see I was FTF at 10:56am I took some photos before leaving - thanks for the cache and bringing me here

I had just been at Robina doing a few errands and upon returning to my car I see a few caches had been published. I noticed AL had grabbed a FTF on a few of them. Did I have any chance? Only time would tell! Arrived at this cache first but had been beaten to it by 20 minutes or so. Still, I grabbed second place on the log. TFTC. SL.
Congratulations to Aussie Liahona on your third FTF this morning.
I had found this tree some time ago, as well as the persimmon trees ,and intended to place a cache here.
Then, over the last 10 days, two new caches popped up just near here using the same parking. I was disappointed but then found that my tree was just far enough away from the others
