The race was on from the car. Cept I was all over this one.I unfairly rounded on sunshine58 here in regards the host and it's dedicated interest in oxidation. Interesting to learn about this ted duffield chap from a couple a logs. Yval's was most interesting. Thanks konie for highlighting this tiny little park with a geocache.
Worth the trip just to see the beautiful mature trees. Easy find. Thank you to the owner.
Thanks Konie for placing this cache in Ted (Edwin) Duffield Park. Ted was a graduate at an old alma mater of mine.Cache in good condition.
My aim is generally try to find all caches over 10 year old when I am in the area. This was one of them. Thanks for maintaining this one for all to find.
A bit hard to find with no reception here, but it is fairly easy find if one uses the common sense. Tftc!
OK on a drive away form the coast to get a few AL ️.
Nice park, shade and historic Mailbox.

It's Holly's birthday today, so we're up in Nambour at the The TreeTop Challenge, well those of us who aren't bothered by heights. I heroically volunteered to look after the car, picnic and birthday cake whilst the family clambered up trees, walked across moving and swaying platforms and generally did things I don't like.
I soon got bored, so headed out on a bit of a loop to pick up some caches. This part of the world is very pretty.
There were two obvious places the cache could be and I found it at the second.
Now back to TreeTops for a picnic and cake.
Thanks!!

Up next I swung by this lovely little park here, just a shame that they don't have any proper parking! Didn't take too long before the cache was in hand and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Konie!
Quick and easy find. At GZ, although I was a little concerned about the sign that said we were being watched by security cameras! . TFTC Konie
Easy find. I knew Ted Duffield very well. He was a big cuddly bear of a man who was well respected in the Woombye community. He actually lived in the house on the hill up the lane to the right of the park. He is most remembered for his long term volunteering with the Rural Fire Service for which he was the local fire warden for many years. Ted passed away in 1963 while he and his princess were staying with us in Darwin. RIP mate. Thanks for bringing me back to remember, Konie.
Konie I found your cache Ted Duffield Memorial Park on 29/7/2022, 10:45 am. This is my find 3855 and find # 4 today. A quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Had to wait for a muggle to move their wheelie bin - gel like hours. Don’t be suspicious, don’t be suspicious.
Great location!
Great location!
Had a great day out around Nambour, Mapleton and Woombye collecting virtual stamps in my book for the Wonders of the World souvenir promo.

We called by to hopefully give this cache a find and we were disappointed. We checked the hint and tried again but unfortunately couldn’t come up with the cache. Sorry about that.
There was a spider living inside this cache and it scared me half to death... aside from that it was pretty good.

Sunday. Both Slow Punctures were on the cache hunt in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland today. We looked under here several times before we actually spotted it. Argh. Well hidden until we got on the ground. Poor Mr SP was ‘discovered’ from above by the local birdlife here. [:(!] Log signed and replaced as found.
This was the 4th of 11 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Konie***, for showing us this place.

Owl was heading back down to Brisbane after her conference in Nambour, getting what caches she could persuade Eagle to stop at. There were lots of under choices, but the correct one was eventually made.
Out for a day of caching with stortigirls and Mr Curious Quest. I pulled the geomobile over and we headed to GZ. There, the others searched one area, but my phone was insisting somewhere else very close by. I had a quick look and spotted the cache. With our names added to the logbook, we continued on our way. Selva Girls, Mr Curious Quest and I were caching in the area an pulled in to make a find. The container was quickly located and we added our names to the log. Tftc Konie
Out with SelvaGirls and Stortigirls to do some caching. Nice quick find. TFTC,
Nice shady spot. Don't know if it was just a coincidence but a very inquisitive neighbour came walking down to the park and was staring at me while I was sitting in my car filling out the log. Just a bit awkward!
Driving around Woombye picking up a few caches today. Stopped by this quiet little park for a quick find
Thanks for showing us the park Konie

2nd geocache since downloading the app today, my son found it which he was really excited about it and made it a fun stop.
Trying to pick up a few caches today and this was one of the successes. A relatively easy find and I was somewhat surprised to find that the log had no other signatures. TFTC Konie
Stopped off and replaced log and container and returned it to its correct hiding place as per the terrain rating.
Please replace as found.
Happy Caching!

We found this one lying on the ground and the magnet is no longer there/functioning. We put it back where we think it could have been but it will fall onto the ground again if it gets bumped.
Please put a new magnet in your cache so that it can be attached to the metal. Thank you.
A slight, well not-so-slight, detour from today's activities to knock off a few more unfounds in the area. I found the container easily enough, but am surprised it has not grown legs and walked away, seeing how it is pretty much visible to any and all. Scribbled my moniker and mosied along. Thanks for the hide Konie.
I think theres a risk here that it can be thrown out by a muggle. Could be better hidden. But atleased its easy and it a very quiet/unused park. Thanks
I think this one needs a bit of maintenance. There is no magnet on the tin.... it was sitting on the ground, a wonder no one hadn't picked it up and put it in the bin. TNLNSL.
A weekend engagement coming up in Nambour, and we have the afternoon free. Yea! Fourteen caches visited this afternoon!
Really nice drive along the road to this cache - nice quick find, too - almost jumps out at you.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 3.25pm on 27th August 2016. TFTC

Took a few minutes but I got it. My journey came to a sudden stop here. A tree and power lines had fallen in the wind and the road was closed. Thanks

Out collecting caches today and stopped for this one as we were passing since I was the only one who didn't have it. Spinna and Suzy were of no help, not remembering where it was but after hunting for a moment I soon had the cache in hand without their aid.
