With light starting to fade, I decided to have a quick shot at this. I wasn't feeling confident given I had not had success on the two previous hides in these series. The co-ords are out, so looking around I noticed one nearby feature and gave it a thorough search. But then I checked the size again and realised that it definitely couldn't be there. Noting previous logs, I knew it had to be in one of two spots. Thankfully it was in the first and as others have said, this is a well shielded and well protected location for the cache which is still in great condition. Tftc!

After completing the GPP series, I also wanted to find some of the Fractured Phrases PT.
This one initially got my confused as I ended up in the middle of a grassy patch. But then I noted a hiding place well hidden from view.
There the box was out in the open, ready for a quick find.

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Emu Plains for a short 4 day caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas around Emu Plains, Penrith, Glenmore Park, Cranebrook, Castlereagh, Lapstone, Glenbrook, and Blaxland. Will be concentrating our efforts on collecting the Glenmore Park Puzzle GeoArt and the Puzzled Hearts GeoArt caches, all of which we had solved before leaving home, and also hoping to complete the local Adventure Labs along the way. This was our 12th find of the day, and 112th find of the holiday.

This one took a little bit longer to locate than the previous one, and we scratched all around GZ until spotting the cache container, which ended up not being all that well hidden and it was just that the hiding location that was obscured from view. TNLNSL, then replaced as found. TFTC WunElle.

Continued to here after finding Final Drinking Vessel this took a bit longer to find the hiding place as the GPSr wanted me to look in the middle of the grass. But checked likely areas and eventually found it. It is too hot too spend too much time in the sun.

With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache WunElle

Time for another day chasing mint tins with marj01. With a predawn start we headed from the eastern suburbs out west to Penrith. We started caching at Wallacia and made our way north through the suburbs to Jordan Springs. We had lots of finds which included trads, multis and mysteries; also some dnfs that were too well hidden for us to find or weren't there. I lost count on the number of mint tins found but there certainly wasn't an oversupply. Thanks to all the CO's for placing their caches and TFTC

Our name was added and all was replaced securely when the job was done.

one of two caches in this series I collected today. Parked close by and strolled to GZ. GPS unit wanted me out in the open. I trusted my instincts and searched not far away. I did however find the cache container out in the open with zero contents.
I retrieved the container and returned to my car where I added a new signed log by me. Then replaced the cache close to where it was found but tucked it away under plenty of natural camo. tftc

My geo-widow had a specialist's appointment in Penrith this morning and afterwards, she did her thing (ie shopping), while I ventured into Glenmore Park, an area I've tended to shy away from on previous visits because I keep getting lost in the maze of streets there, in search of a few caches.

I solved the Fractured Phrases series finale from the comfort of my armchair a while back and subsequently got a smiley for making the final find ... but today was the first time I had tackled any of the lead up caches. This one was a pretty quick find, though until I got on the right level, I wasn't sure what form the hide would take but once there, it was just a matter of finding the right hidey hole ... but a SPOR made that a straightforward task. TFTC WunElle and for the smiley.

#3095 (5 of 5 today) (Streak day 385)

Having ignored the pain of another attempt at the nearby ambiguous multi (I did DNF it but that CO deleted it as they have an issue with constructive criticism), I came here - lots of standing and flowing water and mud, but the search area wasn't too bad. Was still wearing my gumboots from my last find so no problem really.

No cache issues at this one and I expunged my previous DNF without too much trouble. Mind you, a short distance from GZ I did find a watertight glass container with very suss contents. Too nice a container to pass up, though, so disposed of the contents and washed out the glass. Could work as a cache container in the future.

Container here was visible from a distance once in the right spot.
Completed signing duties and replaced (hopefully a little more hidden than before).
Good to finally knock over another in this series.

Time for home.

Well, after warming up with 7 caches yesterday, today I decided to go all out now that my cache rationing to find 2000 is well and truly over.
Headed out Glenmore Park way again - still lots of caches here for me to grab.

And grab I did. Took the opportunity for a series of long walks covering a number of finds. 15,000 steps later... fourteen finds and only four DNFs (and a DNAttempt due to muggle workmen nearby).
Better still, a few of the finds expunged previous DNFs, including one cache that had just been checked by the CO after a few unsuccessful hunts.

Followed the iPhone to GZ, but nothing spotted in a number of logical spots. So I went to the recent logs. Suggests the coordinates are well out. So I looked in the other likely spots. Still nothing.
The logs suggest it's easy to see. Hmmm. Not today.

Finally gave it up and moved onto the next cache.

#229 – Garmin eTrex 30 & Geocaching Live for Windows Phone

This was the second of three finds for today. After finding ‘Water Towers #13 - Baulkham Hills’, I set out for this cache. Yes, it is quite a distance between the two however the logs indicated the ‘Magic’ trackable (TB4XBKV) had been dropped in this cache and I need it for ‘Too Shy of Enigmatic’. I found a lovely shady spot to park and made the short walk to GZ. At first I thought I was on the wrong side of the ‘creek’ but then I saw a likely hiding spot despite the coordinates being quite far out. I only knew about this kind of hiding spot from a weekend sometime ago where I ended up finding 5 hidden just like this. I looked around, up and down, and finally realised what the previous logs meant about the cache being pushed to the front. I managed to grab it and when I opened it, I was a little disappointed because the ‘Magic’ trackable wasn’t there. Nevertheless, I signed the log and replaced as far back as I could. This cache has also introduced me to this series which I am keen to complete. TFTC.

#3,131

Having found a good parking spot near the first of these, I left the car there & walked to the 2nd one & then on to this one. It was getting fairly dark by the time I reached this GZ, and I hadn't thought to grab a torch from the car. But I did have my phone, so at least I had something to use to see.

My GPS said the coordinates were very out at this one, while standing at GZ with the cache in my hand, the GPS said to go 25m away. But I can't really criticise the coordinates, as even with such a huge distance, I still spotted the container in the first place I looked. If it had been light, I think I would have echoed Paul_The_Hippy by saying how visible this was from a distance. Paul says he placed the cache well back, so someone might be playing with it? Anyway, like Paul, I placed the cache back in deep.

Thanks Smile
