Couldnt find it.

28-Aug-24
So if Graubunden "Couldnt find it", why are they logging a "Found it" log ???

04-Aug-24
DNF Something is awry here..

24-Apr-24
No idea if its still there or long ago disappeared. Was here earlier this month and had to go. Too many kiddy muggles with their guardians keeping a wary eye so I never stopped there for a second.Came back tonight as I was finding a pre-solved mystery cache nearby. Perhaps this cache is well due for retirement as some of its matching caches no longer exist in play.

29-Oct-22
Thats it, 5 times around my daily grid. Thanks for the cache.

12-Oct-22
Found during an evening stroll with the kids. Much laughter had while reminiscing about childhood adventures at this park.
Log was full so have added new log (old log still in place)

12-Oct-22
Went out for a stroll in the scary dark. Took on spiders and bats and found this cache. Might go have a play in the park.

11-Oct-22
I repeated my effort from January 2016 and was unsuccessful. Hopefully I'll be back sooner than six years and nine months next time.

12-Sep-22
In the area visiting a good friend and meeting her new bin. We strolled past here on a walk to grab lunch so I had a try and was surprised to find it! Sat down to sign and then replaced and back on our way for food. The weather was great today and it was a really nice walk through here, I’ll have to return for the full series I think!

04-Jul-22
Took a bit of a search trying to locate this one, luckily kimbathelion found it once we widened the search area a little. TFTC

04-Jul-22
Had a bit fun trying to find this. A wider search revealed the cache. Tftc

We are on another short (four day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for three nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Planning to collect some of the solved GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and Wallacia, then visiting the Blue Mountains from Springwood to Wentworth Falls (over two days) for numerous Adventure Labs and other targeted caches.

Today (day 3) we completed two Adventure Labs that had their various stages scattered around Springwood and Winmalee, and also collected numerous caches of various types (Traditional, Multi, Mystery/Puzzle, and Virtual) that we passed along the way. Also visited an old "2 Dogs" Traditional cache from 2001 that we needed for an "old school" challenge cache. This was our 3rd find of the day (day 4), and 85th find of the holiday.

We had DNFed this one back in October 2020, so it was well overdue for a return visit, and today we found ourselves driving right past GZ whilst chasing waypoints of a Wherigo cache. So we stopped off for a fresh look and, in stark contrast to our previous visit, made a reasonably quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.

The coords are well off, according to our Garmin 66s, which had us back at the light pole, so can see how we failed last time. This time we ignored the GPSr and just did a wide search of likely places, and that did the trick. TFTC WunElle.

Find #5354

Unfortunately this one looks like it could be behind a temporary fence.

11-Jan-21
Remember your Indiana Jones. Only the penitent man will find this. TFTC

20-Dec-20
With some time to spare before my shift today I thought I’d grab a cache in here seeing as I haven’t found any in here before. Nope, this wasn’t a quick park and grab. With a tonne of muggles driving past and the neighbour across the road watching me there was no chance of finding this and getting to work on time haha. Will be back..

21-Oct-20
Had to really bend around to find that. TFTC

20-Oct-20
We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Emu Plains for a short 4 day caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas around Emu Plains, Penrith, Glenmore Park, Cranebrook, Castlereagh, Lapstone, Glenbrook, and Blaxland. Will be concentrating our efforts on collecting the Glenmore Park Puzzle GeoArt and the Puzzled Hearts GeoArt caches, all of which we had solved before leaving home, and also hoping to complete the local Adventure Labs along the way.

No luck for us at this one today. We couldn't afford to waste too much time on it, so we moved on pretty quickly.

17-Oct-20
Not today!

16-Oct-20
Find 720 at 16:17.
Thankfully had the park to ourselves this afternoon. Nice to give the geobaby a run around! It took way longer than it should have. Obvious spot in the end.
Thanks WunElle for the cache!

27-Jan-20
We were out this afternoon with ilook4geo and picking up some caches before it was time to head on to the event near here. This one was a nice easy find and was hidden out of sight again after the log had been signed with both names. It just a matter of searching carefully in the right direction. Thanks go to WunElle for placing this cache to be found on a hot but muggle free day.

27-Jan-20
This was one of the caches we found today with goingplaces2. Logs were all signed and caches were replaced as they were found. TFTC.

09-Jan-20
Couldn’t find, but after returning a short time later we found it..... great hiding spot, very sneaky

11-Jun-19
Time for another day chasing mint tins with marj01. With a predawn start we headed from the eastern suburbs out west to Penrith. We started caching at Wallacia and made our way north through the suburbs to Jordan Springs. We had lots of finds which included trads, multis and mysteries; also some dnfs that were too well hidden for us to find or weren't there. I lost count on the number of mint tins found but there certainly wasn't an oversupply. Thanks to all the CO's for placing their caches and TFTC

11-Jun-19
Ocw oldmorty
Quick park and grab
Thanks for the cache

16-Jan-19
A medical appointment brought me to Penrith today and while here, I took the opportunity to also grab the caches that have sprung up since I was last here.

I'm not keen on solo caching in Glenmore Park ... it's hard enough driving through there, without trying to also navigate to individual caches along the way . Having been lured here by a new Bushfire letterbox hybrid cache, however, I decided to search out a couple of the others in the area.

Managed to find my way to this one OK and then made a quick find in a typical hide location. Thanks for the hide WunElle.

22-Nov-18
Braved the dust storm to head out for this one. Took a while. Time to head indoors. TFTC

14-Aug-18
We are visiting from England and staying with our friend and family who live on Glenmore Park. The location is full of natural beauty. Today, we decided to have a relaxing adventure exploring some of the local wildlife, spotting a pelican and lots of other birds enroute.

My daughter wanted a play on the nearby park, so we made our way over. She spent a good twenty minutes playing in the sunshine, whilst my friend and I tried to locate this cache.

After a fruitless search, geogirly came over to where we were, she did a quick finger tip search and started smiling with the little beaut in her hand! How did we miss that? Signed and replaced. Happy caching!

01-Jul-18
Found surprisingly quickly tonight. Checked the obvious spots and came up with the goods. Tftc

01-Jul-18
Our last find for this epic day of caching. After reading recent logs we were happy yo find pretty quickly TFTC

24-Dec-17
Searched my Garmin's GZ and then expanded the search. I found the nano about six metres away. It was nice to change a previous Sad of 09/Jun/2014 to Smile. TFTC WunElle.

10-Nov-17
Tftc - this took ages ........ left and came back many times, gave up several times, about to burn the park down when the geosense kicked in. DUH - obviously !!! I’m going home.

12-Sep-17
Thanks for the great hide

12-Sep-17
Found it THANKS

29-Jul-17
I accidentally logged the wrong cache on this day and only discovered my error when I showed up to find this cache with ContactPete and I said to him, "I've already found this cache!". Checked the log and looked online to what cache I had logged on that day. So know I am fixing my log. So here is my log from that day:

Needed a PAF but feel silly having done so as I had searched GZ but of course it is all about seeing things from the right side. SL #3244 on streak day #1850 TFTC

16-Jul-17
Second visit in two days to Glenmore Park area with the primary objective of completing a mystery and a multi I started but didn't have time to finish yesterday.
Tally for the day: 20 finds, 2 DNFs and 2 CRPs ("cycled right past"s)
- - -
This was one of the CRPs. I didn't consider it a DNF as I didn't even stop to start searching.
On cycling up to the GZ area, there were bunches of muggle-kiddies with their muggle-parents. All over the place. There isn't a level of stealth in the universe whereby a single male rummaging around a playground would go unnoticed. So Cycled Right Past.

30-Jun-17
After having been here and looked a few times before, I did a couple of pafs and had 2 different locations to look! When I arrived this morning there was a muggle and 2 kids so I wandered off and did some bird watching. They stayed for a long time but I outstayed them! When muggle free I headed over for a look. A short time later I spotted the cache. Thanks SueDan for the help. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

23-Jun-17
We approached GZ with little confidence. The score was 42 finds vs 22 DNFs, plus this cache was last found over 12 months ago. Then my sweatheart, Sue, found it very quickly. I gave her a geohug. TFTC

18-Jun-16
Found one of them at last! About 4m off from the map coordinates. What a total bugger of a thing to find. Took a number of attempts but finally layed eyes. Even with help from the cache owner it still took us a while to get this one.

22-Apr-16
No luck for me here!

29-Mar-16
Only live a short distance away. We came back for another go at this one but as soon as we arrive so to did a large group of people leaving us no option but to leave it for another time.

19-Mar-16
Called past here on our way to pick up a couple more in this series. Checked that there are still 2 caches here & yep right where they were when we were last here. xo

18-Mar-16
Thanks soldier boy for checking it out. A lot of dnfs I know. But it's there.

20-Feb-16
20/2/16. 3:10 PM.
3 DNFs and 15 finds today - Glenmore Park & Mulgoa.

I headed out west this weekend for a bit of a Penrith plunder, today grabbing a few from the GP Fitness Freaks and FRACTURED PHRASES series. After finding "Ducktales", I was now going to be doing a few from this series, so I parked right near this one but skipped it at first. I walked off to find "winesap of one's oculus" and "Recapture one's respiration", before waling back here and then deciding to have a look for it.

I took notice that others had mentioned it being about 10m off but in which direction? I hadn't made any PAF calls today and wanted to keep it that way, so after a few minutes I gave up and drove off to "Immature around the lungs" next.

24-Jan-16
Tried expanding the search area after looking in the obvious places but no luck.

14-Jan-16
I left early in the morning to try to avoid the forecast heat. I still didn't return home until just after noon so I got most of the heat.
I achieved 18 finds and 5 DNFs some of which may be gone.

Gardener muggles inhibited my search but looked in areas up to 10m away from GZ with no luck.

#2421 (4 of 6 today)

Decided to head west this afternoon to grab some caches out Glenwood Park way.
Didn't find them all - missed a multi - but six solid finds, including avenging two previous DNFs.

Can't complain.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
So after the recent find, thought this was worth one more try. Noted Martin cousins comment on cache's distance from published coordinates - and I'm using an iPhone...

But which way?

Took about 10 minutes until I spotted something slightly strange, and with nothing else on offer checked it - CIH!

Yep, it's definitely there. And about ten metres off by my reckoning as well.

Opened to find a wet log, so took it to a table to get it dry and then signed and replaced.
A plastic ziplock would probably help here, but I must say the cache container suggests a different placement.

I note the cache I found was most recently signed by Martin cousins, soldier boys and J+J.au.

Good to have avenged the previous DNF - and I did search this area last time. Oh well.

Returned for another look and again absorbed a great deal of my time. After driving away, I should of noted the bearing as I did see approx 10m away from GZ but that was using the iPhone. It is there and a tricky find at that.
Thank goodness it's not on any play equipment, thanks WunElle

21-Jun-15
There were a few in this series missing, or I have blind? This was one of them.

03-Jun-15
Had a good look but I couldn't spot any of the three if they are here

26-May-15
Decided to spend a few fun hours out Glenmore way today, and managed to grab 11 caches during a series of long walks - including a circumnavigation of Penrith Golf Club. Unfortunately there were also quite a few DNFs as well.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Second DNF in a row on this series.
A few logical spots here - one was giving my 1 metre. But nothing spotted today, and it's starting to get dark.

Found a cache but noticed previous two electronic logs finders have not signed the actual cache log. Wondering if there is actually two caches here?? We did look for a second cache (just in case), but only found the one. Log signed & cache replaced. Tftc xo

10-Apr-15
Well, well, well....just as I submitted our log, geodad found another cache. This cache is signed by Hoogies, but not the potato heads...Are there three caches here?? We have signed both logs and can confirm a definite 2 caches within about 3mtres of each other. Thanks WunElle xo

12-Mar-15
Had a quick look on the way through, but there was a muggle hanging around, so decided to try on the way back.

Sure enough, once we got back it was already raining fairly heavily. Angel_Eyes checked while I brought the car around, but still no luck.

Will have a proper look on another day.

Thanks for the cache!

Co-ords are a little out, made me search in areas not needed for 20 mins. Got to a typical spot to hide a micro and was found soon after. TFTC.

30-Nov-14
My wife bought a tandem bike on ebay for her christmas present! and we tried it out on this path for the first time today. This was my second attempt at this one and found fairly quickly this time. It must have been all that sweating and puffing and having two pairs of eyes this time that helped to make the find.

09-Nov-14
Found pretty quickly.. Got lucky and noticed it Smile

30-Oct-14
Catching up on logging after realising how slack I had been in logging finds, lucky the gps stores them. Apologies for the delay in sending through the logs. A quick find. TFTC WunElle. [1767]

27-Sep-14
Muggles and mugglets everywhere, could not search the area and hubby is having problems finding a park to access the rest of the caches consequently we have to leave this unfinished. It would be great if you can assist visitors to your city by putting notes in the cache descriptions telling people where they can safely park or, alternatively, telling them the series has to be done on foot, thanks for giving us some great caches though.

04-Aug-14
I had the day off so I decided to head out and tackle a few Glenmore Park caches!
I can't think of a better way to spend a sunny blue day
Thanks Wunelle for the series!

03-Aug-14
Came back today with some knowledge from CO and after waiting for some kids to leave the park I found it quickly, not sure how I missed it last time.

02-Aug-14
Thought I would stop here as the park is deserted. After pulling apart a chair, climbing on a table, picking up rocks and moving leaves for half an hour I think this one has me. I will be back.

24-Jul-14
Couldn't find this one but it was dark, will try again another day in the light!

19-Jul-14
Came back for another look now that it's been fixed up. Spent 15 minutes looking around GZ before extending further and saw something out the corner of my eye and Bingo CIH.
Cheers

Fixed.

26-Jun-14
Ok..this one looks to be gone again..so, to foil future muggles, I am going to move this one a bit and change the camo up a level.
Will require about a week to do so. Therefore disabling until approx. week ending 6/7/14.

20-Jun-14
Looked here for about 30 minutes and guessed it probably might be muggled.

29-May-14
I DNF’d this one last week when it was apparently missing. I returned today for a quick find, but it was not quite where I was expecting it to be.

Thanks for restoring the cache WunElle, that’s the whole PT done now Smile.

26-May-14
I have been past and checked on this guy a number of times and with a watch on the cache I saw that it had been replaced so on my way past I had to call in for a look.
On checking the previous location and type I came up with nothing so with that info was useless and the search was on and shortly after the cache was in hand and the green log was duly signed and replaced.
Thanks WunElle for replacing this cache just in time to enable me to find it before leaving Sydney.

25-May-14
Cache replaced.

23-May-14
I was muggled-out by school kids on my first visit so I continued on to pick up the rest of the PT caches and another in Ched Towns Reserve before returning to a now empty playground. I searched for a while but decided to depart when I noticed a group of children approaching.

After reading previous logs and checking Google Maps, I suspect the terrain rating is wrong and that I should have been concentrating my search elsewhere, though I do note that there have been a few other DNFs lately.

Hopefully I will be able to return some day. Thanks.

23-May-14
After five DNF's in a row I would suggest that the CO at least have a look at this guy and if it is still there I will be the first to return in the next few days otherwise on my next trip to Sydney. Thanks for all of your caches that I have found in the last four weeks.

17-May-14
Searched here with no luck. Had to leave when some kids arrived.

06-May-14
Late tonight I revisited this location but again failed to find the container even though I knew what to look for and where it was hidden after contacting a previous finder.
I will place a watch on this guy and if there is a found log I will return.
Thanks WunElle.

07-Apr-14
Had to wait a while to look for this cache as there was a family using the playground. It didn't take long to find after reading previous logs. TFTC

06-Apr-14
We drove past two other caches in this series in a quest to find somewhere to park in Glenmore Park (has anyone ever noticed that the suburb's name could be taken as a misnomer?) and found ourselves closest to this cache. There was no one in the playground, so it seemed sensible to try it first. We found the cache after a few minutes of looking, and then wondered how we hadn't spotted it immediately. Lucky. A family turned up to play as we were heading back to the car. Thanks

06-Apr-14
#2371- I must confess to hating caches near playgrounds, and had we been a few minutes longer getting there, I would have been mumbling just that under my breath. But we found it quickly and made it out before the family with, a group of kids, turned up to play. Thanks.
