What a great day! I have another friend staying from Japan...I had previously taken her father geocaching...So when we had a horse riding lesson in Bundanoon, we decided to try for a few on the way out there. We ended up finding nine from nine. We have a geocacher in the making, she really enjoyed herself.
This was my first for the day. This multi was a wonderful introduction to geocaching. My friend enjoyed the whole process finding waypoints, collecting info, calculating the GZ and all contained within the park! We only had a problem at the end because my tablet would not let me place a waypoint ("network error"!) and my phone kept saying we were 8km away! But we could see where the GZ coordinates were in relation to the other waypoints, so with hint in mind we just started looking. Lots of poking and prodding for 5 mins then cache in hand. The look on my friends face was was priceless!!!! She kept saying "wow", so I had to explain muggles and stealth. It was lovely to be back in this park. I have had many picnics here when I was a small child and again with my own children when they were small...great memories. Thanks for the great cache.

Found it. SL TFTC. Went off and collected the information for this cache last year but with the festive season rolling in quickly I promptly forgot about this cache until a week ago. Having calculated all the information into co-ords we called by GZ and soon had CIH. A freight train was idling at the station, the engine was none like I have ever seen before, quite unusual to me, so that was a bit of a highlight apart from finding this cache. Clever idea is this cache.
Tftc. I'm not a fan of multi caches but Mrs jaybeem wanted to do it. Quick and easy to find.
Great little multi in a very nice park with lots of history to discover.
Having found the cache we whiled away an hour on our sudokos watching the world go by. Thanks again to J+J.au; sorry no FP this time as we're skint! We need a few power trails of caches every 161m under a rock or at the base of a tree to get some FP credit.

Nice hide. A pleasant multi to complete with geokid 2 while geomum fed the newest geokid. TFTC
Out at a catch up picnic with contactpete to see a friend from overseas, as usual, contactpete noticed caches around so just couldn't resist completing one. After gaining clues and doing required maths, cache was found. TFTC. Interesting history learnt.
After finding all the required information at the waypoints provided.
Did some required maths.
Found a well hidden cache.

Nice compact multi for some reason I imagined was in a different park. Have done a cache here prior to the renovations and one of the waypoints is actually a waypoint for another cache (noted additional info to do that one later). Collected all clues easily, calculated GZ (with one quickly corrected error which saved walking over 100m from where I needed to be) and made the find before the threatening clouds opened up.
[Green]Found on our 27 day camping holiday through NSW, VIC and TAS, through places like Melbourne, Hobart and some smaller country towns. This was found on Day 4.
[Brown] Had a lovely walk around this park, collecting the information and looking at how old everything really is around here. The park is really nice after the work done there, with a couple of families enjoying morning tea. Cache found easily at the end. Fav point. Thanks J+J.au

In the area for weekend for a wedding. Never let a chance go by for a sneaky tourist cache. Have four finds so far as we walk around and each of them has shown a lovely level of thought and effort. This was a really quick but fun multi with a nice container at the end. FP from me. TNLN TFTC
Lovely location for a compact multi. Grabbed this one with Fitzy_65 on a dampish romp through the area. All of the points were quite interesting. GZ nicely done.
Thanks for leading us here J+J.au, and thanks for another cache.

9763 + 1102 = 10865. Found on a run through this region with ZZ7 today.
After missing this part of a planned caching run two weeks ago, ZZ7 and I decided to take advantage of another mostly fine day to cache around the Moss Vale/Bowral/Robertson region. After leaving a freezing Canberra behind early this morning, this was the fourth stop for the day. A great little Multi showing off some of the history of the area. Info gathered, GZ calculated and a nicely camo'd cache located. Signed, returned and we were off to the next one.
Thanks again J+J.au ! Another of several finds on your caches today !
TNLN - TFTC !!

Great little tour! Being a newbie cacher, I'd done some caching research so I had an idea of what to look out for. Fortunately, this helped me find the cache otherwise I definately would have over looked this one! TFTC
TFTC. Another clever hide thanks for the history lesson. Found on a day out with Dougal1950. TB stopped by for a visit.
Everything is back to normal now and R.S's name is in the log book.
You missed out on the path tag I left in there. I will owe you one
Enjoy

OK, this was a epic disaster/success in many ways. First I came up with some coords that put me out of the park, that wasn't good. Then a conversation with the CO had me looking elsewhere, and guess what I could see the cache but I couldn't grab it due to a construction fence! The CO has kindly allowed me to log a find, until he can rectify the problem/s...Thanks J+J.au.
The cache is gone.
Some mongrel has taken this unique cache hide. It was a one of the kind fake water meter. If anyone come across the cache elsewhere please let us know.
I will rework the cache and come up with something a bit different.

Good Multi with interesting facts. The cache itself was quickly located having found a very similar one (liquid gold) last year. None the less still worthy of a favourite point.

On the way to Canberra from Motel, stop for toilet closer GZ.. first solves muilt as well, then lovely garden and enjoyed cuppa time... wow awesome hide, love it... Thanks god quickly than longer... sign in, thanks
We stopped here for lunch on a nice sunny day. The park was busy but we meandered around collecting what we needed then sat on a bench to calculate. Bugger a family picnicking at GZ! Well time for lunch! We returned for a clear run and turned up this very clever cache indeed! Thanks J+J.au, excellent!
We were having dinner at the pub across the road and thought we'd give this a go between courses. Collected the info with my cousin George before dinner was served, returned to the table for calculations and searched for + found the clever hide with George and my other cousin Mia.

I picked up a few finds across the highlands on my way back from Goulburn. This was one. TFTC
The ladies sat down in the shade while Mr Hancock and myself started this one, as we were discussing info we had just gathered, another cacher was gathering the same info. We completed it together. An easy find, have done one of these before down here, love em.
Bumped into Nighteez whilst looking for this one. A nice hide that Team Webguy knew instantly where it was hidden from experience.

I have cosidered finding this cacge a few times before, but since I have too few caches left unfound in this area, I have put it off.
Now I was out this way at night, so there were no muggles lurking around, I found the clues by street light and torch fora good find. At first I thought that I broke something, but then realised that it hadn't been replaced properly last time. Probablt since the cats that crossed my path tonight were white and not just black.
Thanks for the cache.

Found on the way back from the coast after completing the calculations earlier in the day on the way to the coast. Had the numbers slightly wrong at first and had the wrong GZ, so on return the numbers were fixed and it was a quick find at this marquee location.
Thanks for the cool cache J+J.au, it was fun today!

We were camping over the weekend down at Gambells Rest area, off Bundanoon. Saturday was set for geo-caching, and after a few traditional caches in the area, we saw a multi cache in Moss Vale. Fine, we will go for that one. We read the description of the cache in the GPSr, and then we read it again. The description mentioned to collect numbers to calculate GZ from the equation below... But, there was no equation!
Finally it came to us that the equation might have been displayed as a picture, not as text. Luckily we had a smartphone with which we could confirm the suspicion. On the phone the picture was quite small, which caused some problems, as described below. Could we suggest that the cache owner changes the description, so that all necessary information can be read in a text based GPSr.
Once we had managed to find the equation and the information about what information to collect, the rest was just 'a walk in the park'. It was a very nice place, and the coordinates were spot on. Some muggles eating at one of the tables might have wondered what we were doing, wandering back and forth, but that is part of the fun.
When all data was collected, we had a minor problem with the inconsistency how the letters 'i' and 'j' were represented in the picture, but checking with the given check sums made it possible to select the right one.
At GZ, we had to wait for some muggles to disappear. In the meantime Hagar went and bought lunch in one of the nearby shops, while Helga occupied the table closest to the hide. Having had the lunch, it was time to rummage around to find the well hidden container.

The best way to find a muggle-high cache? Go in the rain! Not a soul was about on a drizzly late Saturday afternoon, so we made quick work of our clue-deciphering, located GZ and Grey Akubra soon had the cache in hand.

The weekend had arrived! So this meant another geomission with Rapidlywild gallivanting around the Southern Highlands again Certainly was a weekend of quality caching!
Moving right along with our Southern Highlands geomission and this one was next for us. We've passed this one by on previous missions due to time constraints, but not this time as the focus of the weekend wasn't about raking up max numbers...it was all about quality caching. This cache CERTAINLY is a quality cache!
We had a pleasant little stroll around this very popular spot learning about the history of the place as we gathered all of the info needed to calculate the coords. So once, that was done off we went to GZ. Only one problem-MUGGLES! Right near GZ . OK, so then Plan B swung into action-RW went for a bathroom break whilst I went back to the car to listen to some music and fool around on the phone to wait things out.
Then only after a few minutes wait, the muggles departed and we both converged on the area [^] RW lit up a geodurry to serve as cover whilst I sat back and sipped my water. Then I spied something as RW was strolling around and then I said "Why don't you have a look at that for a ....?"
So then with the coast clear she went in for the inspection and then BINGO! What a surprise! We both certainly weren't expecting THAT!
So then with caching duties completed again when the coast was clear, off we went for more
Thanks this cool multi and hide, J+J.au-fave for sure!!!

Well, it was time for another specimenX and Rapidlywild adventure, definately overdue and looking forward to a good weekend We had cleaned up some "straggler" caches we had along the highway and made our way to the hotel and checked in. We lasted about 15 minutes at the hotel and we were back on the road. Its caching time
We had decided to hit the Mario series as we had spoken to the CO at an event in Canberra a few months back and he advised us of this new series. We just had to come out and grab it, and we are VERY glad we did We had finished the Mario Series and were now collecting some newer caches in the area.
Time to start making our way back towards Canberra however we decided to take the trip through Moss Vale, Exeter and Wingello. This way we can get the stragler caches within that area and avoid the highway for a little while
We had 2 caches left in Moss Vale and we decided to knock them both off today. The first was this Multi. We found a park on the street and wandered over to commence waypoint information collection. Didnt take too long to gather the information however we agree that this is a VERY popular location. Once we had worked out where GZ was, we discovered there were muggles where we needed to be. Hmmm this produced a problem. Luckily, I was in need of the ladies room for a quick break so that proved enough time for the muggles to pack up and move on. I soon took possession of the location and specimenX joined.
Had a quick look around and tested a couple items before the cache became revieled. WOW very sneaky J+J.au but we LOVE this hide!!! haha it was awesome def fav from me for sure!!
Logging duties performed, cache returned and off we continued. Thanks for the awesome cache and multi J+J.au

After a little morning shopping, walked across to the park to do this one. Grabbed all the info, but things didn't work, so had another look and found I had misinterpreted one sign. Now having good coordinates and a wandering GPS, looked around a little (GPS still pointing to a no-go area). Used the hint and quickly found the cache (which was certainly made easier by finding an identical hide in the past).
My only complaint is the use of images in the listing when text would do. It makes it hard/impossible for people using traditional GPSRs. I had to resort to the phone to see what to do.
Thanks for the wander, the history lesson and the cache.

I was in Moss Vale last August when the gardens were still being renovated so great to see the job has been completed. Collected the information with geo-brother and made a quick find at the well constructed camo. Thanks J+J.au and a favourite point coming your way.
Crikies - found one of your's without you having to hold my hand! There were a few muggles having lunch so just looked casually. Then had a DNF on the time capsule despite wandering up & down. Would have made a nice waymark. Hopefully someone has made a note of where it is for future generations. Thanks.
Had one of the Sparks/Holm Boys staying, so decided to have a go at this multi. We sure did pick a freezing afternoon to attempt this one. As any local will tell you the westerly winds come straight across from the railway line, combined with the rain, it was a very chilling experience, But very satisfying when we had the final Co-ords in hand and the cache as well.
Very tricky and a fav point from us.

W hat a great geocache! It took us all around this charming park, taught us a bit of Miss Vale history, exercised our brains a bit and a fabulously imaginative container at the end. We collected what we needed on our drive through town on our way home to Sydney from Cooma. Had a really nice lunch at the cafe in front of the railway station where we did our calcs and the returned to GZ. We spent some time admiring the creativity and the thoughtful construction. A favourite from us. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Ahh, a great short multi and another fab fabrication by J+J.au The WEEO and I did this one while everyone's else was in the car fuming. We had big grins because we both appreciate a great cache and this was one, worth the fav point for sure. TFTC
A great cache to end another great day caching with my Geoson and Geograndchildren. My Golden wedding anniversary to boot. You have been very busy J+J.au and have created yet another great cache container, well worthy of my favourite. TFTC TNLN SL

After going through a few pens and getting frustrated with the geocaching app on my phone we finally found this one.
Tada, there it is! Waypoints located within reasonable time and information gathered. Ground zero located...no need to trudge all over the garden. Had to wait quite a while for two groups of people to finish their lunches and took my moment of opportunity to make the retrieval. Awesome hide, hopefully this one will withstand the test of time, even though it is in a high muggle area. Thankyou.
A short run today to do some J+J caches! First one for the day turned out to be a very enjoyable multi. Had to keep one eye on some workers still doing the last finishing touches in the park. Was surprised by the creativity on the final container!

Despite having ticked off today on the calendar already I couldn't resist the urge to try for this FTF. With Chalk having been the heavy FTF hitter of the last little while I expected them to be racing here but then realised they might be more interested in the other one published today. Maybe I passed them on the way here! Anyway, given the rain I had tried to be clever and solve it by googling the answers but it turns out not everywhere agrees on the dates, and for one of them you really have to see the plaque itself. So, the time I spent googling and working out some coords which looked wrong but matched the checksum, and then going there and realising they were definitely wrong, could have been spent going to the park and gathering the info properly! Which I ended up doing anyway. Proper coords quickly worked out and I made a quick find thanks to having found one of these from you before. Interesting history and a fun chase for FTF #23 - TFTC!
