Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
We are travelling with Pprass and have now set up at Lincoln NP for a couple of days. So much to see and do here and the weather has been sunny and conducive to getting out and about. Today we headed around town and country shopping and collecting some caches and AdLabs. Thanks for the tour around the area viper231
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 10 - Cleve to Port Lincoln via Port Neill and Tumby Bay. My short days continue and I spent a bit of time around Cleve before I got under way. Plenty of roadside caches along the highways. I ventured into Pot Neill, Tumby Bay and Port Louth to check out the villages. As ever I would have loved to have stopped for lunch or dinner in each one, but I stuck to the plan and made it to the caravan park in Port Lincoln. Once I was set up I went and did a few more caches on the edge of town. A couple more Counties today. I'll spend another day here tomorrow before heading North West to th Nullabor over a few days after that. After setting up in Pt Lincoln, I headed out without the van to get a few caches in this tiny county. The ridge line up here was great and I found two tricky hides along this road. Thanks for the cache viper23146627.32 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Inuksuk A#168**Albida**
Staying in Port Lincoln for 3 nights. Now to get a mix of sightseeing and caching
Did take a little bit of a scramble to get down, but we so appreciated that fantastic view. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Im not sure Ive ever seen a purple crowned lorikeet but the cache was spotted quickly. Great views too ! Tftc
Find#5983Nice hiding place What a epic road trip exploring Australia Thanks for the cache
#5309 Oh boy, a somewhat scary area to interrogate on a warm sunny day. Approached from the wrong angle to start with prolonging the search, but made the find eventually. No Lorikeets spotted today but occassionally we see them back at home in north east Victoria. TFTC viper231.
Found while visiting Port Lincoln for the week. Thanks for the cache viper231!
Found while having a look around town and grabbing some caches as we go. Quick park and grab, all good.

Well hidden cache, but the real treat here is the view. Gorgeous visibility today, can see probably 30km away..
Also loving the birds of prey circling over it all too. My favourite cache of Port lincoln for sure. Thanks for bringing me here!

Didn’t see any birds and no cache either. Had a good comb around. It is very over grown so I’m thinking it’s been over run.
With rain expected tomorrow, we headed out with iluvtrekking to do dry weather caching. Quick find while enjoying the view. Thanks viper231
Another cache found with richlink.
We have enjoyed travelling The Eyre Peninsula with richlink using Geocahing as our guide. We have seen many interesting towns and locations along the way. Thank you so much to the CO’s who have placed and maintained caches for the enjoyment of all.

Hanging out in PL today and managed to find a few caches.
Quick find here. Brrr… cold.
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!

This was squeamish. Opened the container and there was an infestation of earwigs. Not a delight but a good hide, thank you ️
Staying at North Shields cp. Heading to Coffin Bay & picking up a few caches. Just all log books relatively new & in good condition. Tftc
We had a really fun day caching around Port Lincoln with ilook4geo. Some roads gave the most beautiful views of the very green scenery, the yellow of the canola and water views as well.
This cache was one of the ones we found and all was replaced as it had been found once both names had been added to the log. Thank you to viper231 for placing this cache for is to find today.

Staying in Port Lincoln for a while so went out caching with goingplaces2. Enjoyed the country road driving and picking up some caches along the way. Cache was retrieved, log was signed, all was replaced. Job done! TFTC.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
Off to the west coast for a Holiday. [^] Holiday Sal Style that is. We are sightseeing - if there happens to be a cache there - great - get it. Luckily caches are in really interesting spots anyway.
Day 9: Port Lincoln.
Coming down from the lookout we stopped and made a quick find here.
***Thanks viper231 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Found with [@coybear2000](http://coord.info/PR9547H) while doing a tour of the town. We noticed all the native shrubs on the side of the road. There were many birds flitting about, but we didn't see any G porphyrocephalas. Once at GZ we started our search and soon had CIH. Log signed and all replaced and we continued on our tour. TFTC.
Found this cache. Wheres Wolly & Sharon - 1st cache together!

Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So after leaving Coffin Bay my next destination is Port Lincoln which is down the bottom of Eyre Peninsular off the Flinders Hwy.
I’m hoping for better weather soon I don’t mind it being cool just not rain showers when you are out and about.
I left Coffin Bay early so I could get set up and then go out looking for little green dots on my map.
I cannot even pronounce these words so there is no hope that I could spell them either if asked.
You get a great view from up here and I would love to buy the block of land that is for sale across the road.
Not sure if I spotted a Purple crowned Lorikeet in the wild I would no what I was looking at.
Thanks for the lesson anyway.
Thanks viper231 TFTC.

On a road trip around the Mid North and Eyre Peninsula, geocaching as I go. Predominantly targeting old caches, solved mysteries and grabbing some interesting looking traditionals.
Quick find.

2nd cache for the year. What a great view of the port. Busy road though so gotta be carful or have a look out (thanks dad). GUIO turned up just in time to log. Geodaughter on the find, “ew it’s full of bugs”. thanks for the geo cache
Thank you for educating me! Cool stuff and beautiful area!
I didn’t write down my name into the logbook...more info in maintenance log.

I found the catch on the top of pole....I guess is not the right position.... I hide it 1,5 meters away under a tree and a few rocks (I think it was there before) plus the container was full of bugs - disgusting.... I took them off a clean it up a bit but you still should to maintenance....good luck

Unlike a lot of caches found recently this one was high and dry with a lovely view too. Left a lucky Chinese Feng Shui coin. TFTC
This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
After having a successful day yesterday, we awoke with motivation and optimism for the day that was ahead of us. However after having our first geocache find, a rock had hit the vehicle's oil sump, leaving the car inoperable and requiring the car to be towed to a mechanic in Port Lincoln. The morning was then spent addressing the vehicle's repair plan, and then trying to salvage the remainder of our weekend's plans. We walked around the centre of Port Lincoln, before finding a hire vehicle for us, and then the afternoon was spent driving around the area. It was interesting seeing Port Lincoln's marinas and also caught glimpse of the shark cages. We ended up drowning our sorrows in the evening (whilst celebrating gridge98's birthday) at the craft brewery, which was probably a highlight of the day.
What great views from the hill lookout and above, and even from GZ. The cache was quickly found, with the cache container and logbook in good shape. Thanks viper231 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After driving up to the look out to check out the view. Stopped by this one on the way back out, didn’t take to long to find
Well what a day it was, a day filled with more downs than ups and but overall a few caches were found in and around port Lincoln. Davidwazza and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula for a weekend away to clean up as much as we could and collect a few new LGAs for Davidwazza. This morning 2nd cache in we ended up cracking the oil sump in the car and having to sort out what to do and how to fix the issue. Lucky a mechanic was at hand and a prolonged trip was soon scheduled and a hire car was in hand. I guess things happen when you use a car for things that it’s not made to do.
Other than that a great day out.
Thanks for the cache

Another wet rainy day in Port Lincoln whilst visiting family. Rather than spend all day inside, we braved the elements to seek a few hides. Heading across to Coffin bay we grabbed a few on our travels.
A short stop to admire the views then off to GZ to make the find. cache safe and sound. Signed and returned. TFTC
