Being a solo cacher of the veteran variety, I dont find myself climbing trees all that often (in fact it is extremely rare). Unfortunately the log was too wet to sign & once Im up a tree unfortunately I cant carry out maintenance. Perhaps the next finder can provide a new log sheet and zip lock bag. Photo of my find attached. TFTC
05/05/2024 - 13:32Quick and easy find. Container has definitely seen better days though - could do with a dry logbookmarcussjd9#230TFTC
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific. While dodging the rain showers today I was able to pull myself up into the tree and make the find. Logsheets are very wet. The cache could do with some TLC. Found & logged using Cachly for iOS
Wanting to continue my streak and needing a traditional cache today for a challenge, I chose this one. Once I stepped up high enough, I put my hand on a rock, then pulled out the sistema which was full of water after the recent rain. I emptied it out and luckily the two logbooks inside were waterproof paper, so I signed one and replaced the container back in its hidey hole. Luckily no one came past and not even the mozzies worried me. Tftc
More spiders than ducks today. And I have a newfound respect for how much weight fig tree roots can carry.TFTC
Taking a lil stroll! Quick find, TFTC. Cache has water inside and might need replacing.
One tree, another tree, not high enough. Revisited followed hint. cache very wet, dried off log enough to sign thanks
Down in Brisbane for a conference so took the opportunity to find a few caches this morning before it started.
After grabbing the nearby cache I headed in here. Picked the wrong tree first then found the right one. Unfortunately the container is full of water so I couldn’t sign the log.

TFTC. Quick grab while walking my geodog. Nice little spot to hide the cache. Couldnt sign the log as the sheet is dampened.
The entire cache is wet and was filled with water. I emptied the water, but this cache definitely needs some maintenance. TFTC!
When I arrived there were 2 boys smoking something in the bushes; when I looked around, I found a needle at the base of a tree; and as I was leaving a man wandered down the path to relieve himself. So I was pretty unimpressed by this place. I also did quite a lot of climbing before I finally found the cache. But I did eventually uncover it, and despite being wet, the log was easy enough to sign. I’m glad you like this place, but I don’t think I’ll be back again in a hurry.
Found after wandering around with the kids. It's the second one they have helped and were very excited. Cache had water in it. Tipped it out and tried to dry it out a little. TFTC
Today, I needed to run an errand to Annerley, and so after a pleasant morning tea with friends, I made a few stops, which included Weller Road Park, and Toohey Forest Park. My plan was to target [Iniduoh](https://coord.info/GCH4DC) and [Get Rekt 3: Toohkeyo Drift](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/5f8af3eb-d28e-41a4-a5fe-af03bda75f02) Adventure Lab. I decided to pack quite light so I could jog/run different sections, but without packing much water or food, I was quite tired by the end of my visit given the large expanse of Toohey Forest that I covered.
I took a stop off this side street and shot walk along the river as my first cache find for the day. Upon arriving at GZ, it took a few loops around the tree, before I decided to look upwards. It took more like a couple of steps up than just the one step, but I soon eyed the familiar cache type. The cache container was quite wet inside, and the waterproof logbook was also damp as others have mentioned, so I added my name as best as I could. Thanks eatmorchikin for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We enjoyed the pretty little walk along the path to GZ where we started our hunt. Managed to dig through all the leaves and dislodge the sodden cache. It was completely filled with manky water so we dried it out as best we could and replaced. Thanks eatmorchikin
Daffy would’ve loved this one as there was so much water in it he could’ve gone for a swim. Dried it out best we could, signed the log and replaced back in its cozy spot. TFTC
A quick stop in here with K&L at lunch today. A neat little area i had previously never been to. GPS bounced around a little so took a more methodical approach to search the couple of options for a good gz. Cache soon found but was full of water. Dried out what we could and made our mark on the all weather paper but all previous marks are basically gone now. Replaced as found and spent the next few minutes doing the spider web removal dance. TFTC
Wife and kids couldn't find it and ask me for help)) Read the description carefully. İt's been replaced a LOT higher due to the floods. İt's not in a great condition. Wish we had a plastic bag with us to conserve it better.
Out today to grab a few caches to continue my personal challenge that I have set for myself. I had to head over to Holland Park way for an errand, so while I was here I decided to grab a few quick local caches in between showers. There were a couple of fun ones and one that took a little looking. Then the memorable one of me, face to face with a sleeping possum.
This was my next find and one that I will not forget in a hurry. I had to wait for the passing shower before I started off to find this one. The path down was very wet and full of water puddles. I got to GZ and looked around for a possible spot where you would need a step up. Hmm that looks interesting so I decided to check it out. Then I spotted something that looked like fur. At first I thought it was a dead animal, then I realised it was a sleeping possum. OMG, I was three inches away and staring straight at an angry, just woken up possum. Umm sorry but I think you are in my cache hide. With a little persuasion, it decided I was too persistent and made its way further up and into another tree. Now was the cache here after all that. A dig around and there it was. It was full of water and a little rank, well I hope it was water. Water out and cache replaced as found I was off to my next one. Thanks for the adventure here.

Used the hint and stepped up to the cache. It was so water logged, couldn't sign it, sorry. There was a pool of water in the container. Will need some maintenance. Thanks for bringing us to this area that we didn't know existed. Looked out for all the wildlife, didn't see any ducks or eels but spotted some cool birds, a turtle and some guppies. Tftc!
Cache was full of water . Emptied and signed a piece of paper and placed into a bag. Thank you
Unfortunately only had a few minutes to search. Will return another time. Cool old trees.
That was really fun! Thank you, my favourite hiding spot so far. Was pretty wet but waterproof paper holding up well. Did a little swap, kids loved it.
The cache was so wet a duck could have made home in its location! Therefore unable to sign log.
Almost gave up until we read some of the logs! Didn’t sign due to a massive huntsman guarding the cache!
Once the GPS finally settled, t'was a quick find of maybe higher difficulty than the rating suggests. Logbook ain't damp...its dripping...anyway, T4TC
Fun cache in a place that completely transforms within 10 metres of the road.
The odd walker came by as I was signing the slightly damp cache. Had to pretend like I was just hanging out in the crook of the tree.
TFTC!

Haven't been out caching for a while. Saw this was in an area we walk the dog occasionally, decided to check it out. TFTC TNLN. The cache was a bit wet and stinky inside, needs a bit of love.
TFTC. Awesome find. I told my father that I thought it was there but he ignored me
Found it nice and quickly. Luckily there was no muggles around. The container and log are quite wet. TFTC!
Awesome hide. Some muggles with dogs must have wondered why there was on old guy half way up a tree. TFTC
Over two years ago we (including Mrs G and grandsons) failed to find this one. Now I know why. Looking for a cache today and passing nearby I decided to have another look for this one, so ambled along the path and started searching again. Not too much effort to eliminate one tree, so started on another, and soon had the little quacker logged. TFTC, eatmorchikin. Very pleased to convert to a smile!
Didn't find anything, there was a possum sleeping in one of the suspected trees. Might need to come back when said possum has moved on.
Quack, quack! It's a long while since last visiting an eatmorchikin cache. While in the area for another cache, this had to be visited, too.
I wish the two little -chans in the family are doing well and enjoying there share of caching and adventures!
Now, equipped with shorts and sandals only for my time on the city today, it took me a split second to decide if I'd venture in to the assumed GZ. But since bussing myself to here from the CBD, it would have been awkward to turn away 5 m from the container. So, in we go...
First, I was barking up a wrong tree but the second one has the goodies. A little climb up and we're there.
The log sheets seem to have been multiplied by that's all ok. Note room to write...
All good here. TFTC, eatmorchikin!

Headed south early to try and find a few caches before the big gaseous ball in the sky made outdoor activities unpleasant. A short walk and a reach up soon had the cache in hand.

Log signed at 10:39 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie and bringing us here **eatmorchikin**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

Well, this was quite fun to find. Having read some previous logs, I was well prepared with a spider stick and was waving it around constantly just in case, but I really did not need it at all. It was easy to avoid the large Orb Weaver, and like others, I did waver between a couple of spots, but eventually came back to a suspicious object which had caught my attention earlier in the search and Lo and behold, there it was.
This is a lovely quiet nook, very peaceful, and at one time, I just kept quiet and still while an elderly local walked past with his shopping on the nearby track. I don’t think he was even aware of my presence.
Thanks for the cache.

For some reason this one took me a while. I wasnt prepared and was wearing ballet flats and a dress. Wow the sand flies and spiders had a field day! Got my hands on it. No possum in sight. A little bit wet was the log and a few spiders and cockroaches were clinging to the case.
I had fun none the less.
Im on my road to 200 finds. After this one. Eight to go

Great Cycle Challenge Day 8 - I have taken to riding in Brisbane as the Gold Coast is plain scary. After jumping on the V1 at Eight Mile Plains, I eventually found my way to this park. After wavering between the 2 trees, I chose one to focus my attention and BINGO! The log was a little damp but tftc
On the hunt today on my quest to find enough caches to qualify for the latest Mystery at The Museum souvenirs. I had finished the hard work with the gems and was now accumulating the last tally of caches.
As I arrived at a parking spot near GZ, another person headed in from the road, along the path towards GZ. Unsure whether they were a fellow cacher or not, I lingered at the car to see what would happen. They emerged shortly after and then sat at their car for some time. Assuming the coast was now clear I headed in for my own attempt at finding the cache. The location of GZ indicated by my phone fluctuated between two particular trees and checking each one at least twice, it was only from the wrong one that I actually spotted the real hiding spot for the cache. With no other signature in the log, the now revealed muggle was abviously on some other "personal errand" in the bushes. TFTC

GPSr has us at the wrong tree!
Found wile out and about Gunnie69.
With the jewels all found, we had the information we needed to get the vault open. Today it was around Greenslopes and Coorparoo.
Thanks for the cache and hunt.

Having a look up a tree when swearah shouted I GOT IT. I was up the wrong tree. Nice little spot Tftc
Today’s afternoon off activities consisted of getting some smilies Greenslopes. This was the first one on the list. The sure do like it around here! TFTC!
Seems like someone has set up camp near GZ. Didn’t want to snoop around. Will come back for this one
Found quickly with the hint. Replaced the pulp that once was a logbook with some sheets of waterproof paper.
The rock was missing, returned it.
The tiny ants were still around and it took some time to get rid of them
Thank you for this cache

Searched here for quite a while, but four pairs of eyes couldn't see the cache today. Mrs George, Matt, and James came along today to help. Will have to try again another day. TFTC.
Don't ducks eat ants? This looks like the ants are eating the duck!! I'd had to drive one of our students down this way after her visit to the nearby hospital, so decided to make the most of it and grab a cache as well. Took a short wander through the park to GZ, where the cache was located with its resident ants. As others have mentioned, the log book needs some love and as I wasn't expecting to be caching, I had naught but a pencil. Scratched my name into the wet paper and headed back to work. TFTC, eatmorchikin. =^.^=
Out for a few hours caching with RoddyC. A short stroll along a lovely path brought us to GZ. RoddyC made the find & managed to clean out the ants for now. The log was very soggy but attempted to put our names on there as we didn't have any spare ones with us.

We came across your cache, eatmorchikin, on a caching day with KerryMg.
Nice quick find but as others have reported, very wet and full of ants. Cleaned them out, removed some sodden content, and put back a very wet log sheet. Perhaps the next cachet will come better prepared with a new one just in case.
Log signed and cache replaced at 1:11 PM on August 23, 2018. TFTC.

Hidden Creatures Find #79 - On the home straight now! Today I headed south of the city to explore the many bikeways by foot. I am not short, nor am I tall, however it was one giant step for me! I spotted the cache through the black sea of ants! After shaking all the ants off, I finally opened the cache and there were more ants and the contents were wet! I have taken a photo of the cache as I was not able to sign it. TFTC
Found it despite jumpy GPS. Logging is impossible because container got wer and everything is soaked. In addition there are thousands of ants . So after having had the cache in hands it took me 15 min. to get rid of the little crawlers. Not so pleasant caching experience!
Found. Just as it was starting to rain lightly. After visiting the new Taco Bell (hubby’s 1st visit; my 2nd), I coerced him to find a geocache with me (he’s a muggle at heart but occasionally I can persuade him). Anyway, after trying the wrong side of the creek (did anyone else do that? Or is it only me?!) we enjoyed the stroll towards the actual cache location. Muggle hubby guessed the right place precisely but “sent me in” to fight the spiders...plus the ants, which are covering the cache - while he kept watch from the path. I was in Birkenstocks, so tried to go the ‘back way’ so as not to tramp through some low undergrowth. But that is why I ran into the spiders! I don’t recommend it. Why do I like geocaching so much when I hate spiders & ants?! Don’t get me wrong, Eatmorchikin, I still think it was a great way to spend my 1st day of holidays (finally finished work...). And my only child free day (their holidays start tomorrow). TFTC! Cache #271.
Great little spot. So quiet! Had a quick look around then spotted the rock. Heeey. Cheers eatmorchikin!
Accurate coordinates and clue led to an easy find tonight. Full of swag, so didn't take or leave anything. Logbook almost full.
