I just give up on this one. I hoped to replace it Tuesday afternoon and my daughter split the back of her head open at school so it was a doctors visit and stitches instead. Today I go to replace it and some nice person has vandalised the fence so although I could pop it back, when someone comes to fix the fence they might 1. think I damaged their fence or 2. take the cache from its placement. So bye, bye Nanny. I'll find another spot for you when I get some enthusiasm.

15-Feb-17
Nanny will be back next week!

07-Jan-17
I'm still thinking but Xmas has had priority.

30-Oct-16
Eloise looks like she's been muggled . Will send a pic to the CO. Have placed a replacement log (few pages from my notebook) in a plastic bag until CO can come and check on her. Tftc

Found cache away from where is was supposed to be in pieces - got confirmation that is was the cache, so we put it back together and added a new log.. No sign of the old log or swag anywhere, and we looked for quite a while.. Thanks for placing, hopefully it lasts a bit longer this time!!

30-Oct-16
I was reluctant to put the cache back in the same spot as someone obviously is targeting the location of this one. I'm taking it off line before the crafted part of this one gets nicked again. I'll get hubby on to moving it where I planned to relocate it, but couldn't, as it didn't fit in with the surrounds. We will need to do a bit of a redesign and get this back up and running as soon as we can. Sorry.

30-Oct-16
I can't believe that the temporary log that was left in here today has even been taken. Geez! A determined muggle hitting this one....or a cacher who had a bad experience sometime in their life with a Nanny!

29-Oct-16
No luck

26-Oct-16
Woohoooo a FTF on a replacement cache. Beautiful fresh log This had me questioning myself until I put my hand on it!!! LOL! Clever chikins! Glow in the dark lion placed inside. No more swaps room now with the menagerie in there. TFTC #265

24-Oct-16
Nanny is finally back. Another cache has been crafted to fit in to the environment. Hopefully this one will survive any maintenance in the area. Sorry for the delays with getting this one back on board. Life has to come first and with 2 kids and hubby that works late lots of nights a week, things don't happen in a hurry. I was planning on moving the cache to a new spot, but it didn't work out; I'll say no more else I'll give the cache hide away. Hopefully you can stay safe Nanny hiding back in your old spot.

07-Oct-16
The raw materials have gone to the welder today, to build a new cache......

16-Sep-16
Checked out a new location now that the gardening works have been finalised. I'll have a new cache made to suit and replace when back from holidays.

12-Sep-16
On to this soon.

14-Jul-16
Still have this one off line. Sorry. The area has had a massive clearing of trees and vegetation along the fence line. I'm assuming whilst this occurred they also took my crafted cache. I'm a bit reluctant to put one back in the same spot straight away. I'll just give it a bit and then decide what I'm going to do. Cheers and thanks.

28-May-16
I had a heads up from mitchiemus today that the cache might have gone missing as they did it recently but noticed today it didn't seem to be there. Yes sure enough my beautifully crafted piece of infrastructure is indeed gone. I'll have to take this one off line for a bit until I work out what to do. Extensive work has been going on in the area so I might wait a bit and see what is going on before making a new one and putting it out. Sorry from the chikins Sad

This one has me stumped....will have to come back.

After work this afternoon - I was surprised how quick it was to travel from the city to the GZ. A quick checkof a likely spot and was able to retrieve the container without any trouble. TFTC eatmorchikin

Oh very clever! This one had me stumped for a while. I'm new to Geocaching and was just about to give up. The previous logs were taunting me to keep looking. Attention to detail...ahhh found it! This one has taught me a lot. TNLNSL TFTC

Worth a fp for creating a great cache!

15-Apr-16
Our sole cache for the day - on our way home from collecting Grandson from School, the Nuvi sounded an alert for this cache - so we quickly pulled in to the street. While the others were looking around the ground, I found this one somewhere else. Singed the logbook and returned all as discovered. Then continued on our way.

Found at 2.15pm on 15th April 2016. TFTC.

Next on the list was this cache and after a wander in and a look around, I soon had the cache in hand.
Signed the log and returned to hide.
Just in time, as I walked away a muggle came around the corner.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks eatmorchikin Cool All good with this cache

Christmas eve and I wouldn't be at work for quids. So what should I do, I know, I'll crash Gravatt. Whoops hang on, I mean cache Gravatt.
I fueled up, grabbed a coffee and hit the highway early this morning for a few hours of caching fun. I arrived at GZ for my first find of the day. It was still rather early so the local business across the road was thankfully not open yet. I had heard funny things about this one from the CO's so I was happy to kick the day off with it. As I wandered over the hide came into view rather quickly. Very cool, nice bit of craftsmanship there Mr chikin. I returned to the car to sign in then replaced as found for the next lucky finder.
Definitely not a bad way to start off a great day of caching.
Thanx again chikins

18-Dec-15
Checked on this as I was walking passed. Cache is all good. There is a log, pencil and trinkets still inside it. Not sure what previous finder found.

10-Dec-15
Clever cache. Not sure if there was a container but i was only able to find the log. Recovered and returned on a day in the area. Tftc. Slowly rounding up all of the names to complete this series.

30-Oct-15
Owner's check. All is good.

06-Oct-15
While waiting for a daughter who had an appointment nearby we ventured forth for a few caches. This was one. And, a nice clever one too - something different and worthy of a favourite point. Thanks for this cache eatmorchikin, and thanks for your company over the long weekend at Christmas Creek. [^][^]

Love these kinds of hides. Hidden in plain site.
Had to be careful as plenty of muggles around in the business across the road.

Today i was faced with a hard decision on the way to work. Cache or coffee.
It's clear which one won. But only because it was my turn to buy.
Now I'm cacheless....

07-Sep-15
Just got back from holidays in the Snowies to find that the construction fence stopping access to this cache finally came down on Saturday morning. Nanny was put back in her hiding place today. Happy hunting for this unique type of container.

15-Aug-15
My monthly update. Still constructing. Still can't put cache back. Hopefully not too much longer and Nanny will be back on board.

14-Jul-15
I'm still on top of this one. Construction is due to be finished mid 2015 so here's hoping (mind you we are now in July and it looks a mess!).

25-Jun-15
I'm still keeping an eye on this one. Please don't archive on me. Construction fence is still installed. Cheers!!

08-Jun-15
Construction fence is still around the area. I don't think it will be there too much longer (hopefully not!). Cache out of action until construction fence come down. Sorry guys.

02-May-15
This shopping centre is undergoing some serious upgrade and as a result part of the car park has been fenced off. Hubby managed to sneak in to retrieve the cache that over night found itself fenced within the construction site. We will put cache back once the temporary construction fence comes down. Thanks for your understanding. Please do not archive on me!

07-Apr-15
Very sneaky. This one had me going for quite some time Big Grin Turned it up on my last ditch effort. There was a possibility here that when checked, confirmed the clever placement. Had to wait for someone to finish their bottle of beer at GZ before I could retrieve and replace. Deserves a favourite! Well done. Greetings from New Zealand. TFTC

Arrived in the local area with the intention of dining at The Loving Hut only to find the hours indicated on their website were misleading & incorrect. It was 4pm & they weren't going to be open until 5pm. Bugger!

Now what could we possibly do to pass an hour without having to leave & then come back?
Thinking, thinking ... actually there was no thinking involved at all, we both just got out the trusty old iPhones & went straight to the Geocaching app. LOL ...

Aha! eatmorchikin has some caches here, let's cross a few more off our to find list!

Left the Geo-mobile where it was, to secure our parking spot, & headed off on foot. Co-ords led us to the right spot & after a quick assessment of the area, while waiting for the muggle parked right beside us to depart, then Geo-mamma was quick to come up with the cache!

As I am approaching a major milestone I need to get those numbers JUST right so I can continue finding a cache a day AND get that milestone to happen on just the right day. Cool
So today I HAD to go find a certain number of finds ... BUT %^&* it is hot today. Surprised
I am hoping to the ever happy 'Quick find' cache today. Big Grin
With everyone hiding inside , I guess, there was no one around today. [^]
I looked here and there and back over there ... jeez it is hot ... arrgggg ... And then I spotted this poor little fellow (see photo). Sad G'day Eloise ... check out the piccy. Smile
Eventually I found the cache. Well worth a fav point. Big Grin
Thanks for the cache

Quite a nice little cache there. Getting my car serviced across the road so was glad for something to do for 5 minutes. Thanks for the cache.

This one was quite an ingenious hide. It was a reasonably quick find but maybe not as quick as it should have been so close to where we parked. Mr LHE Duo said this one deserves a favourite. TFTC

11-Sep-14
Okay okay, this really is the last one for the night! Still out with Selva Girls on our night out. I had taken her to another Eloise cache nearby and thought we would stop into this one while we were at it (It put me nicely at 110). We came at it from the wrong side so went through the shopping centre and parked as close as we could. As usual I like going straight to the cache even if there are things in the way ... like a fence. I jumped the fence and was already looking while Selva Girls walked around. In fact I had found it before she had even gotten around to GZ. Very good hiding spot, nearly a favourite point from me. TFTC! I look forward to finding more Eloise caches when it's not as dark! - Nearly went down to Skipperdee but figured it was too dark for us!

11-Sep-14
Still on our way home, after dinner. Yet another detour for a nearby cache. Parked nearby and headed for the cache, only to find an obstacle in our way. Sezzz decided to go over it, I decided to go around. Sezzz had the cache in hand before I even got close!. Log signed and cache rehidden.

After a day of working from home, and being sick for the two of us, we really needed to get out of the house, so decided to head over to this part of town for a change of scenery Smile This one was the third and final on the list, so we continued on walking from the last cache, and soon arrived at GZ. It was pickup time across the road, so we shielded ourselves so the working muggles couldn't spot us, and grabbed the cache quickly Smile A very creative idea, nicely done Big Grin A nice quick find, the logbook signed and the cache returned, we headed off back home Smile

Nanny, you are so prim and proper that I didn't find you ages ago when I was in the area.

You are still prim and proper but I read a few logs and felt that I could return. I am still chuckling about Shadowcat's experience.

I attempted this one on sunset. It was possible but a few muggles went past.

It's Freaky Friday again, and today I get to play with barbbowman Big Grin We had a lovely walk around Karawatha Park this morning, then got invited out for lunch at Salisbury [^] so all the plans we had for this afternoon went out the window Razz A rethink had us looking at the caches on Mount Gravatt.

Of course we had to get the Eloise caches while we were here. After a quick visit to the shops we made our way around to find Nanny. barbb very quickly worked out what was odd Razz A neat hide. TFTC, eatmorchikin and Eloise.

Second one if my night time hunts in this series and my interesting evening continues - after finding the cache quite quickly I turned back to my car to sit and write in the log and saw a person staring at me in the place across the street! I was momentarily paralysed thinking I'd been caught or worse that I'd seen something I shouldn't given the nature of the place! All that happened in a split second before I realised it was just a cardboard cut-out!!! I haven't felt relief like that for a while!! Well on to the next one, let's see what trouble I can get into there haha! Tftc Smile

07-Jun-14
Found the cache quite quickly today but was not sure I had it right as it was empty. I emailed the cache owner and It turns out it was the cache and that it had been muggled. I am not posting NM as CO is already aware. Very clever hide. TFTC.

07-Jun-14
Channib alerted me to the fact that cache had been muggled. THANK YOU. I have popped a cache log sheet inside for those who find it over the weekend. I will look at moving cache to a different spot soon as I am guessing that someone out there knows where it is and it taking joy in collecting the contents regularly! Met The Hunting Rabbits at the cache whilst I was placing log.

07-Jun-14
We have had this one on the radar for ages, but kept missing the turn. Today we finally made the turn and found the cache container quickly, but being empty we didn't know if it was actually the container. A PAF to Crew153 proved that it was actually the cache so we put in a replacement log. Just as we got in the car to leave a car pulled up and it was Mrs EMC who had come to replace the log. Great timing Mrs EMC

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 10:45am. What a good cache this is. It was found quite quickly and it's well hidden. TFTC

03-Jun-14
We parked in the nearby car park not knowing how close that would put us but in the end we didn't have to venture very far at all!

Very creative cache! Thanks for the cache.

Brilliant cache, interesting spot. Found with BCF88.

29-May-14
I forgot to log this from a few days ago. I pulled up very nearby and wandered casually along. I had the right idea but still missed the obvious for a moment. All was in good nick, though I guess the TB should be listed as missing now... Hopefully it will turn up. Very good skills to create these things... There's no way I could do that... TFTC!

28-May-14
Another day and another box to fill on my found date calendar, I am kind of glad that I had left a few that were just a little off the way I take to work, or I likely would have had to leave these dates for another year.

With a 6am start at work though it was still dark and not even a hint of the sun when I arrived here. It would seem possibly the best time to be in this area. I was kind of happy to make the find almost instantly, it sure does save the hassle of looking everywhere, especially in the dark with a torch.

TFTC

26-May-14
On this side of the town for other errands, and after visiting a nearby computer shop for some wifi gear, had the luxury of time to check out a couple of nearby caches.
Parked the car a couple of blocks away, tried the cache there without luck, so decided to walk over here to cleanse my brains and see if this would become a smilie.

The object #1 to inspect didn't reveal anything. Object #2 didn't host anything extra either. Started to go through the GZ in a bit more detail, and while leaning back and forth, over and under, suddenly was stopped on my tracks: this doesn't feel normal. In fact, it looks a bit abnormal, why would it be like that... Surprised

A little move in the right direction fuelled the suspicions that we have something here, folks. Another maneuver and the container was open. [^]

What a simple and effective container which blends in so nicely - good job, eatmorchikin!
All good here. TNLNSL, TFTC!

Wow! Awesome cache guys! Placed my hand on it by mistake. TNLNSL

24-May-14
Started early this morning with a plan to make my milestone around lunchtime. This cache was my first stop as it's just down the road and it was the only park 'n grab of the day. I have no intention of making this easy on myself. Where's the fun in that?

I looked at the right elevation but in the wrong spot. Not seeing what I needed, I then went for the obvious and there was the cache Smile Sadly the TB is missing Twisted

On we rolled, lots to do today...

TFTC eatmorchin Smile Log #1,990.

ps: I'll be up around Kenilworth for a few days and spotted something of interest. Noice! That will a pleasant diversion from what I'm supposed to be doing out there.

I had previously attempted this one a few weeks ago. Upon pulling up I discovered an older lady right at GZ loitering while texting on her mobile phone (I thought only younger people had this habit). Despite waiting for a while she showed no sign of moving on so I did. Back again tonight and GZ was thankfully clear. I got lucky and the cache was in the very first place I checked. Another very clever cache. Tftc Dropped a TB

Another one that was a good choice for a Saturday morning. Once again I managed to park right next to GZ. Only had to walk around the car to the foot path to start the hunt.

GZ was soon spied and the clever little cache revealed itself. Always a pleasure to see something a little different. Smile
