I went to an event in the area today and then went off to grab a few caches.
I had no luck with this one, it has been unloved for a while.
Any chance this may get fixed up soon, cheers.

Great camouflage with a cool surprise. Don’t do this cache at night…hahaha
Prepared for this cache by geo-step-daughter Jburn195, but it was still a nice surprise. TFTC...
Great surprise. Took a couple tries but found it. Did not trade anything. Tuftc but the log book is absolutely soaked. I could not write in it so I used a card I had in my wallet. I think it needs a bit of maintenance.
In the local area with geo friends after attending a tree planting CITO.
Well you got me with this one, wasn't paying much attention when I was opening the cache. Beaut hide, well done.

Needed to find some caches to complete the Wonders of the World - Solar System Wonders Level and this one had the Surface of the Sun and the closest one where the CITO event was (actually near the tree climbing cache after the event. Lol). Yay!
Thanks for the cache and taking us here Eatmorchikin and our Eloise (aged 3). Enjoyed the adventure. Geobuddy freaked out when she opened the cache! We had a good laugh.

My stupid phone GPS had me wandering around in circles. The wind probably didn’t help either. In the end I gave up and just used my common sense and found the cache in about five seconds flat! There was a nice surprise inside the lid! TFTC
The GPS did take me right to it and I dug up half the park looking for it to no avail, tried a couple of other spots close by, tried to track back to the spot using boy and mum geocacher portrait... ended back at spot first tried... more searching in and around lomandra. Checked hint, definitely lomandra... tried under rather than around or in and finally nabbed it just as I was about to give up... never would have found this one in the dark... Great little container and nice camo artwork on the box. TFTC ThylacineJenn xxx
***COs- catching up on a significant logging backlog stretching back a number of years.??
Please note- Logging your cache on the date I had been there, not the day I'm logging. Cheers??***
HAPPY NEW YEAR CHIKINS!!!
??????
?? Out for my daily trad streak (PG friendly of course!) and popped in here to find this one.
????
Having had unpleasant encounters with certain bushes in the past,?? I made sure I brought my hiking pole with me on this excursion.? It was very handy today, using it to have a furtive feel of the foliage while I pretended to be engrossed with the bird life?????? in the trees?? until I heard that magic clunk of aluminium on plastic.??
Then I needed to be busy tying my shoelaces,???? which is quite a feat when one is wearing slip on crocs!???????? The muggles in the playground were far enough away to not pick up on the discrepancy in my actions with my footwear so it all worked out okay.?
TFTC chikins??

With a storm looming there were not too many muggles about this afternoon. This made for a quick grab. Tftc
After an energetic game of tennis and then lunch, it was decided to grab a cache before going home. Parked nearby and followed the pointer to GZ where there were many hiding places to search. Went back to my phone which had me now 14m away. Moved to that location where after some scratching came up with the cache.
Being weary of the surprise inside, I signed the logbook and returned as found. Another interesting cache in this series.
Brother's name was Bruce too.

This year our major geocaching goal has been to fill as many gaps in the calendar as we could. Unfortunately this plan didn't take into account the fact that we might both be sick at the same time. Two weeks ago I was rear-ended just after signing my log for the day and have been struggling with whiplash since, and the past week I just couldn't get the motivation to drag myself out to find a cache. So after a week of failing to fill the gaps and both feeling a bit better, we headed out this afternoon to find Eloise Charlie. Found after a bit of digging around and evading dog owners and basketball players.
Thanks for the cache eatmorchikin.

Took a few minutes of scratching before finding this one. Cords were spot on!
Out and about with Gunnie69 looking for jewels to solve the mystery at the museum. Plan was to tackle caches around Mt Gravatt and Holland Park, and the seek the final path to the vault.
Thanks for the cache and hunt.

Ghostgums and I zeroed in on GZ and arrived where the GPS wanted us. I scratched all around the prefered spot and came up empty handed. Right, clearly it's a little further out, or maybe even over there... [^]
Off we went to scour some other options, but the result was equally as disappointing and we still had no cache. Hmm. As I widened the search a little more, Ghostgums followed his GPS back to where we started and quickly located the container. Grr, I clearly missed one spot while scratching around there in the first place. The container was pulled about a foot away from where I started. Grr...
We left our mark, tucked everything back and returned the cache as found.
Cheers Eatmorchikin.

Too difficult to recover on a busy Sunday afternoon. And WoodyRothwell is wrong. To look inconspicuous in this part of the park you need a doggo.
A quick walk into the park as the rain was starting - an interesting cache guardian was waiting for me when I opened the container!
At GZ, the GPS kept bouncing me between two similar spots, so I just picked one and looked. Saw something, reached in and had the cache in hand...TFTC!
A slight side trip on my way to work this chilly morning.
The park was deserted.
My unit first took me to an area with very few hiding places, but just across a small stretch of lawn, there were more places for a cache.
Quick find.
Thank you for hiding this cache

Was ready for the jump with this one but since it was just on dark, it’s still frightened me! TFTC!
What I have learned when caching by myself is that in order to avoid looking suspicious you need to be holding a takeaway coffee.
A man standing by himself near either playground equipment or in the bush is clearly a perv. A man standing by himself in the same position, holding a caffeinated beverage is clearly a refined educated gentleman and outstanding member of society.
If you saw a lone man walking around in a park you would watch him closely because he is clearly a deviant. The same man holding a coffee will make anyone feel warm and comfortable and maybe a little jealous of his stance in life.
A man digging around a plant by himself is clearly a criminal doing a drug drop. The same person sniffing his coffee in the same location is someone that cares for the environment, loves to interact with nature and should be given awards for his outstanding achievements.
All that said, a man that thinks a coffee makes him invisible is clearly an idiot. tftc

Found it after a little search. Geo daughter had a little surprise on opening. New there was something waiting so I let her do the honors. TFTC
Great hide here, very well hidden. Geowife jumped a mile when the lid came off. TFTC!
Nice quick & easy find once the GPS settled from bouncing around a little. This is a very special find for me as I’m up from Sydney for the week staying with family & speaking at a local school. I used this cache to introduce some of my extended family here in Brisbane to this incredible hobby. It was a lot of fun & made the three of us JUMP and then LOL! TFTC
All four of us searched and searched, checked the hint and previous activity for further clues and still luck
Over in Brisbane for work I decided to grab a cache or too while here.
eatmorchikin, Kyzabra found your cache Eloise: Bruce, the cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!
All the best from WA. We’d love to see you at WA GOES BIG 2018 in Dunsborough on the weekend of 13th/14th October.

Out collecting a few smileys today with Mrs RoddyC. A bit of poking and prodding at GZ and Mrs RoddyC heard a satisfying sound. We were soon adding our names to the log. TFTC
Visiting from NZ and time to do some more caches around the Mt Gravatt area. Stopped by this park to look for this one. Once GPS settled, it was a relatively quick find, unseen by the family playing on the equipment further over. TFTC
Bahahaha! Brilliant reaction from He-Squirrel upon opening the cache - that alone was worth the find! Took a toy beetle and left a cheeky monkey . Added a little more camo to cover the cache
An avenged DNF! No idea how I missed this the first time I looked geodad is out with us today and he found it straight away. He did the opening which I found highly amusing! Kids had a few minutes play but it was way too hot to spend long on the play equipment! TFTC
what a beautiful park this is! a well camouflaged cache too. Walked up on it fairly quickly and found it with not too much bother. Thanks for bringing me here.
A drive over to the southside.. took longer than it should so my time was short and I managed to make this my only find today. A couple of kids nearby but out of sight of the GZ. A quick find and all dry from the recent rains. TFTC eatmorchikin
Cache owners check. I finally got around to visiting this cache although I didn't really need to as it has been recently found. I can't believe how wonderful those ladies are for filling the cache with lovely things for kids to swap. Thanks Amugglenomore and sambuccasam; you ladies are angels. All good with the cache and the guardian is doing a good job keeping watch.
Spotted it straight away! Cannot believe I had to come here 3 times!!!! Seriously easy cache . Anywayyyy popped a bit more swag in, signed log & walked away disgusted with myself lol. TFTC Chikins. #nomoremynemesis
Nice find in this little park. I should have read the description properly before my 7 year old niece opened it and got the fright of her life!! Lol TFTC
Bruce is safe and well signed log, added a key ring and replaced as found. Tftc
Well yeah; that is one less job to do when back.... thanks for finding sambuccasam
Well I found it today. Was not that hard. There are not that many Lomandra bushes to look around either. No one was in the park when I arrived but 2 people with their dog came just after I signed log and rehid the cache. Left some treasure..TFTC eatmorchikin, I hope you are having a great holiday....All good with this cache and all is dry.
With 2 dnfs on it now I'll temporarily disable this one and look into it upon my return from holidays.
No luck here.. Only came to look at logs after we searched for quite a while so had no idea it was missing
I'm guessing by the one DNF on this one and no finds for a couple of months that this one may have gone walking! I was hoping to look at it this week but rain stopped play on the only afternoon I had free. I'll look at it upon my return from holidays.
My phone was jumping around everywhere. Checked previous logs, searched every Lomandra....but alas, no luck this time. I'll come back another time when there aren't quite as many muggles around.
24/6/16 After caching with Marina25 this morning and then heading off to a meeting, I was surprised I had a little time to spare before collecting the kids from school. I headed to GZ, thankful that this was an easy access cache. The coords led me to a super quick find and I was soon surprised by the cache guardian. Very sneaky. Log signed, guardian returned and cache replaced and I was on my way again. TFTC eatmorchicken
My GPS was out by about three meters this time? Might be all the tall trees affecting it? I also found a nice little native stingless bee colony in one of the trees in this park. Nice to see habitat available for these lovely little bees. Some nasty arachnids hanging about also. TFTC
Found today while on a nice afternoon of walking with the better half. 26 finds for the day. Thank you for placing this cache. Tftc
Was returning home from a funeral so to clear the mind decided to stop for a GC.
Arrived at the park with a few people around but no one was paying me any attention. (Even if I was not appropriately dressed).
Spotted the cache easy enough. Log extracted and signed.
Think I will need to read some of these books. I think Miss Eloise might get up to some mischief.

What a great park. Suitable for a variety of functions. Including geocaching! Hunted down the cache and hoped not to be hunted down by anything hiding. Son-in-law was busy showing a blue tongued lizard to grandson and so perhaps my nerves were already on edge a little knowing what things could be lurking. I think this cache turned my hair white, lol. Happily signed the log and then joined the others who'd moved over to the play equipment. We watched them enjoy themselves for a bit before moving along. [^][^]
In need of a few caches today to complete my September challenge. Nice quick find.

Thanks for this cache. Nice easy find in a park we have never visited. What a trickster! Love it. Thanks Eloise.
Last one today as it is starting to get dark.
There are a few around with their dogs but most are going home for tea.
Arrived at GZ and began to search until geopartner came up with the cache.
I think I jumped even higher with excitement than the last finder.
Geopartner came to investigate.
Signed the log and geopartner placed back where he found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks eatmorchikin All good with this cache

First cache of 15 that we hit today. Bruce needed a bit of a spruce up. Wiped out, dried out and replaced contents. Stocked back up with swaps and Bruce is now ready for some little visitors. Don't forget Bruce is a bit of a trickster so you never know what you will find inside.
The last time I came by, there were muggles all over so I kept driving. Today, it seemed clear so I strolled in, only to see some guys at the shelter table at the last moment. Through taking a long and elaborate route and some fancy footwork, I was able to bob down and do a fast signing without attracting the interest of the other chaps. Everything fine inside so TFTC!
Geo-wife went out for a short time this afternoon, and picked up a few caches.
No muggles or muggles mutts, visiting the park, today.
Took a little longer than it should have, to located this one.
Stood back and thought 'where would I hide it'.
Checked, and there it was.
Oh, and thanks for the heart starter.
Many thanks for placing this cache, eatmorchikin, for us and others to find.

Bruce must be the better behaved twin because I didn't get such a fright this time. Or maybe that's just because I knew what to expect this time after already meeting his twin Bobby.
Lovely park.
No muggles at this time of morning. So peaceful listening to the birds wake up.
Tftc eatmorechikin I'm enjoying your series.

My log is almost a repeat of the previous finder, except I'm lazy and I drove here... left some American coin... tftc...
I was going to be lazy and drive to this one, but I decided that it was not that far, and not too hot yet. I was very happy to find both the fur kid and non fur kid play areas completely vacant on arrival.
Over to GZ and with the help of the hint a nice quick search. I do not like these plants. A suitable poking stick was found to locate the cache.
Cache found and extracted. Hmmm Which end comes off. Yikes!!! That end. Cache lid flung back into lomandra. I was not expecting that in a chicken cache.
Poking stick employed once more. Name added to log and cache replaced.
Thanks for a few nice easy caches to fill in an hour this morning. [^]

Parked close by & proceeded to GZ after checking that no muggles were present and/or paying us the slightest attention! I wasn't 100% certain what a Lomandra was but had a fair idea it was plant-like in nature. Good old Google confirmed my suspicions & a quick search revealed what we had come for!

It seems as if the council workers were following me around today ,I had to leave this one ,but will come back
Definitely took a bit of scratching around. Even though I knew what was inside from reading previous logs it still gave me a fright!
Surprise! Surprised it was found, well not really, although I did miss it at first. Yes it does scare you even being prepared for it.
This Cache took us in a totally different direction than we had planned for the day. We had done little in this area so this was a first visit to this park. After a bit of hunting around MR LHE Duo had dis hand on the Cache, something I was pleased about. I was pleased when we had this one logged and the lid replaced. TFTC.
This little chap took me for a run around the bushes. That's it, Eloise, he played hide-and-seek so well that it took quite a time before I found him.
I thought he'd use the normal hides but they were empty. Perhaps the butler would go in there but not Bruce. After checking all hides I could think of and going through them again I managed to feel my way deep enough in this cupboard and suddenly realised someone's trying to wiggle out of my reach. I hadn't even thought someone could go that far in there.
I'm sure that you have heaps of fun with Bruce and do now understand the mischief those twins can get into. You are lucky to have them in your hotel, Eloise, as there sure won't be boring days...

Today turned out to be a bad combination for caching and keeping the streak going, but managed to finally get out after work and come for a visit here.
I skipped making a find on the way to work in the morning as the rain was set in and the last thing I wanted was to have to sit at work all day cold and wet. So I figure I was ready with a change of clothes to make a stop on the way out after work.
The first problem arose when I end up stuck at work for an extra hour. So now it is raining and dark when I arrived here, not to worry, added a layer of water proof jacket and pocketed the torch. Got started heading in and dodging the puddles along the way. But finally reached the area of GZ.
I had a few options for the GZ based on the hint, but it seemed after a good circuit on all of them none wanted to give up the prize. So standing there in the rain trying to cover the phone I read through some previous logs and soon figured back to the first spot and the closest to the coords. With a more involved search I soon laid hand on what I was after. I got it out and get the log filled in before heading back to the car and turning the heater on, heading towards where I was going out for the night.
