I have decided to archive this cache [xx(] the area where all the clues are has been turned into a car park for the construction of the nearby shopping centre. Sad
Will look at making a new one when the construction has finished. [?]

Still catching up on some logs for 2016. Found in September/October while up home for five days up visiting family (aussieben and kingfisherau).

As always beautiful area the Hunter Valley, glad I grew up here and can't wait to return one day for good with our little geofamily. TFTC.

16-Oct-16
We found a green lid (which reminded us of lids we had seen on other geocaches). We think the cache has been muggled.

16-Oct-16
Disable temporarily till I can look at it.

We found the plaque no problem and copied down the numbers. We did have to do some research on the name of the park but we found it eventually. We went to the first waypoint, and copied the numbers. We got to the second waypoint without any trouble at all. The numbers were copied down and the final location was calculated. We searched everywhere, and checked the numbers. We still couldn't work it out.
We checked the maths again, and discovered a mistake which had us 20m out. We went to the new location, and searched everywhere. We walked to another suspicious spot but on the ground was a green lid. We had seen this type of lid many times before on other geocaches, so we think the cache has been muggled and probably needs to be checked.

A fun cache, found it the other day with Grandmamcduff but just got around to logging it. Thanks

Math was never my strong suit so I enlisted my son to help me out with this one. The final coords gave us pause, as we ended up with a negative number, but we persevered and and found the final without too much trouble. Swapped an Aussie keychain for a Canada Pin. Thanks for the cache Steam koala

This was my closest cache to home. Glad to finally get it done while visiting for work in the area. Thanks for the adventure and the cache steam koala. Tftc

After re-doing my maths, I came up with a better set of co-ords, so this morning's hunt was merely a walk up and sign. I'm glad to get this one out of the way. TNLNSL TFTC

All good nice and dry log intact..took a bit to get all the co-ordanants but got their in the end

After researching the required information, I was back for another assault on this cache.
WP2 was found quickly enough, the maths done, and then to WP3.
The maths here produced a negative number, which I had to add to the previous S co-ord, which really means subtract it?
Anyway, this gave me some co-ords which took me back up to just outside the front door of Maccas. I had a quick look in the garden beds there, until I abandoned that after getting some strange looks from the Maccas staff.
After reading previous logs and viewing the gallery, I reckon my maths has failed miserably somewhere!
(Later). I've just done all the numbers again, and come up with the same result.
Maybe I may need some guidance....................

10-Jul-15
Arrived at WP1 and the numbers were noted. Then at home I found the second numbers needed, and calculated the site of WP2. Now just to get there another day for the second attempt...........

Found a beautiful keyring..

Easy to find, don't use the compass try looking in the trees!

If you look closely in a plant that's tall you might find it!

08-Apr-15
Had problems with the final maths, GZ was just too far away.

Found with Geoian. Second attempt, thanks to SK for his help. TFTC

Was here 1 1/2 months ago and DNF'd it, as I was just not getting the numbers required. Several communique with Steam Koala, and got it sorted. It does work. So with the right cords, it is a quick find. Thanks for all your help and patience SK. 793.

Spent some time on this today, but couldn't get the final leg. Will email CO and get a little help I think. Nice to see mathematical problems in correct sequencing for a change. Will Return.

Well, apparently my maths sucks on 40 degree days, which of course only made this harder. Got there in the end though - make sure you read things properly kids! Spider guardians very active, and I had to remove the web cover. TFTC TNLN

Not feeling well even the slight hill was hard work. I kept making silly mistakes with the math and my final coordinates where slightly out. But found the cache with out much trouble.

TFTC!!! Finally found it. We started this a few weeks ago but messed up the maths, which led us to the wrong pole. After a few attempts we finally got what we thought was the right numbers. We searched where our co-ords sent us, but they were wrong! So again we worked out the numbers, getting another different result. We decided to try that one. Still a little off, so we just searched the surrounding area & finally found it! We weren't far off at all! We were also a little delayed in finding the cache as the workmen were in the way for one of the waypoints. Thank you so much for the puzzle. Had us thinking & scratching our heads at our poor maths skills.

09-Aug-14
The work site has been removed from around way point 2 so I re enabled the cache.
Note: the workmen are still in the area so be careful around them.

06-Jul-14
I have to temporarily disable this one as there is a construction site at waypoint 2 so you cannot get near it or see the numbers.

#3907

We met Team Senz for tea at a nearby steak restaurant and decided to complete this multi together. We parked at Maccas and set off to WP1. WE had no problems here or at WP2 but when we got to WP3 we came a little undone. We had to PAF and then the CO to be set on the right path. Some how our maths was still incorrect so we headed back to the cars to work out the maths on paper. Mr Senz decided to wander about while the rest of us started to crunch the numbers. It wasn't long before a cry was heard and the cache was in hand (sorry we BFed it but we did start to work out the maths again).

after a lovely dinner with chippyroo down the road at hogs breath, we made our way up here to start the multi, the first 2 waypoint went smoothly until the last before GZ, after some calculations we came up in a spot that didnt look right, so a call to the CO and previous finder we were in the right place, so while chippyroo played with the numbers, i went for a stroll to brute force the cache, finding out we were not far away all along. TFTC.

I had stopped by here two mornings earlier and had a bad attempt at this. I found the first plaque and looked up the number (I never watched the original) and was soon at way point two. Or close enough to read it through a fence, as I had taken the more scenic route closer to the road. I worked out some coordinates, but one of the additions was a negative number (that could not be right, could it?) and I arrived in the middle of a car park. No numbers, so I went to work. Later I had a look at my calculations and it turned out I could not read my own handwriting and had used the wrong number. Now armed with waypoint two’s coordinates, I parked real close so I would not have to walk far, at least to waypoint two. I worked out the final coordinates (see above) and headed to GZ. The cache was found quickly and someone else had found it this morning, even earlier than me.
Thanks for the great little walk around and the basic maths workout (I need more practice)!

Finally found it.
Found the first 3 waypoints without any problems but no such luck finding final co ordinates.
After an email to the CO i was informed that the final sum on the cache page was reading wrong which supprised me to see big Matt find it as the final co ordinates worked out to be about 350m away from the cache.
i re done my sums and decided to have another look on my way home from work last night at 7pm but after 30 min still come up with nothing so i headed home and sent another email off to the CO to see where i was going wrong. It turns out i Had't done my sums right. So with the guidance of my daughter i had another go at the maths and on my way to work this morning i had another look for the cache and had it found within about a minute of getting out of the car.
SL TFTC and thanks steam koala for your prompt replys to my emails.
Enjoyed doing this one.

[Blue]Our 8482nd overall find.

*FTF* I saw this one published today and thought I'd head over to say hi to a few other cachers but no such luck. I must say that I'm a bit of a geek and did look up the thing from the show but was right anyway. I was surprised to see the park benches in this area and made a very simple if somewhat unorthodox find. I'll be interested to see how long this one lasts.

Thanks Steam koala for the cache. [/Blue]
