Logs
It was my first time so I was very excited to find it.
The log was a little soggy but I didn't have anything prepared to fix it.

A nice quick cache after the school pick up. Encountered another cache hunter at GZ. looked to be flat out like a lizard looking for the cache. (See photo). The geo-kids got very excited.

Think it was fairly obvious what this was going to be hidden near. Odd container.

First find of 2015. Found with the GeoBF. Cache is as advertised, brown, dead and in the ground.
Two logs today when I found myself at loose ends and decided to drive down, down, down into the lower Blue Mountains (and into the heat) to occupy myself for a couple of hours.
I made a mess of this descriptively-named Glenbrook cache at the beginning, using my Oregon 300 with a nearly dead battery and then finding that my iPhone app, for some reason, didn't include this cache in its 'nearby caches' listing. So I ended up on the wrong side of the trail.
However, I eventually made the fairly easy find in a most likely object, and must give thanks to the Pale Fungus for his efforts in waterproofing what would otherwise be a doomed hide.
All was OK with the cache container this afternoon. TNLNSL.
Nice place to take a walk -- beyond the GZ area -- but it was just a bit too hot for me today.
Thanks to ven101.

Found with James Creer at 1005.
Didn't know this was a dog-off-leash area. There were a number of muggles and their dogs out today.

A quick find by JoeGleeson_25 with surprisingly a lot of muggles about. TFTC.
I would probably change the terrain rating, its more like a 1.5.

A surprising - the dirt biker mounds on the track indeed a surprise - bush pocket not far from home with an easy stroll to the GZ. And a decidedly scrappy bag for the cache container in which resided a soggy logbook.
With no maintenance tools on hand, the cache was removed for a short while (see Write note), and the new log signed. TFTC

The cache content was in a very poor, soggy condition and without appropriate replacements, the cache was removed for a half hour run back home. The cache container was dried out, a new log sheet within a sealed plastic bag was included, and then placed within a sealed ziplock bag.
The cache was returned to where found - somewhat exposed - and placed with some additions to the camo ... the CO should do a check to see that SD,SB,SitG is located where it should be.
The old logbook is drying and will be made available for the CO.

TFTC! Went out today to grab a few local caches
Unfortunately it had been waterlogged and will require maintenance

Had to wait for a couple of muggle cyclists to go past but cache was an otherwise easy find. Log book was soaked though. Too wet to sign! TFTC!
Found it at night. With only a small torch. Couldn't log my find due to being a spontaneous adventure and not carrying a pen. Well done.

I was nearby doing some maintenance on one of my caches, so decided to detour slightly to look for this one. Instant find, for some reason I thought this one was going to be very different to what it turned out to be.
As others have said, this container isn't waterproof, and the log is mouldy. Some TLC and a more waterproof container is needed.
Thanks

Paper is mouldy and damp. Rubber band and plastic waterproofing disintegrated.
GeoWife1 and I had an appointment in Penrith this morning so we decided to stay in the area and do a little caching.
Cache located however, the log sheet is getting a little damp, we were able to signed the log. Replaced all as found.
Tks ... yen101 ... GazMag

A nice easy find. Fortunately there were only a few bike riders around so we didn't have to wait long beforewe had the area to ourselves. TFTC
Tftc. Plastic bag does not protect the logbook too well. Logbook was still very damp. Quick find. Good hide. #teamtiam
I have not been able to check on the cache recently due to being away but I have gone to see it and it does not seem to be soaking. Let me know if you believe it needs maintenance.
Couldn't drive past this since it was so close to Mum and Dads. A great beginners cache, but it is soaked. TFTC
Cache is terribly wet, might need to look at a different container and a new log
Nice and quick find and not too far down the track. Plastic bag there but still pretty drenched.
TFTC!

Quick easy find. Definitely concur with other finders that the log in a small plastic bag will help preserve this one. Otherwise, good cache. TFTC.
phone went flat, didn't get enough power to get me to GZ. I'll recharge it, grab the GPSr as well, and come back
Turns out that I had guessed the location earlier without the GPSr or the phone working last time. Coming back in the afternoon to get the smiley, although it didn't comes as easy as I suspected. Took me a little while to spot. However, it doesn't make it easy finding micros in the bush. but I was so close last time without any hints, info or GPSr devices. Congrats on your first cache hide. TFTC.
I thought this cache, by its name, was vying for the award of best Goth wedding theme. We were going to have dinner in Glenbrook, so I said I wanted to look for this cache beforehand. It was in the second place I looked - a surprise since I always expect failure with micros in the bush - so I was no bridesmaid today. Instead, I put a big black signature in the log book, since all I found in the car to sign was a big black goth-like permanent marker. Very dark!
Thanks
Thanks
Well I found something. Not sure if it was dead, brown or in the the ground. A quick deviation after dropping the eldest son at soccer just nearby and coming in via the back entrance of Mt Sion. Thought about it during the game, could of just as easily walked in from Knapsack Park via the never ending network of tracks. TFTC.
Was quite impressed to see my little cousin place his own cache! It wasn't long before I made myself go and get it, but upon arriving I realised I'd made a rookie mistake - forgot my GPS in a no coverage area. Because of this, my search was stretched an extra 5 minutes, basing my seek off what I could remember from the satellite map, and the decent clue given in the cache name. Was a matter of time before I found a likely object, and as expected, a nice container was set. Normally micros in the bush infuriate me, however this one I guess is an exception - nowhere near as worrying as I expected it to be.
A word of advice however: You might want to put your log in a plastic bag inside the cache. Although the log was only slightly damp after last night's torrential downpour, it'd certainly help improve its durability.
Overall, got to say a job well done on your first cache. Looking forward to your next one!

Armed with a hint I returned to find this micro in the bush. Lots of good hiding spots here!?!

#2331- I needed a cache to fill one if the last four days in the calendar year, but still couldn't go far with work being done in the house.
I came in on the wrong well established track and had to go cross country for about 40 m to get to the right one.
There were a few spots within a reasonably close area of where the GPS put me, that matched the description- as I found it, the GPS said 1 metre. A relatively quick one- thanks for your first hide- may it give you as much fun as it has for us over the past four and a bit years.
FTF at 9.10 am on 13/3/14. Nice and cool today to be out for a little wander. First time I've seen that particular container. Thanks.
