This was the eleventh of 11 finds for the day. After finding “Hart”, Mizmaz, Charligirl2918 and I decided we could complete this nearby multi which did necessitate a drive to the posted coordinates but only a short drive. Thankfully the information on the cache listing was easy to follow and the information easy to find. Sometimes multis at cemeteries are difficult due to the difficult-to-find and difficult-to-read headstones but not this one. We very quickly determined the coordinates for GZ but were disappointed to find only parts of a cache, likely due to some recent gardening and clean up due to the recent wet weather. TFTM.

Reactivated my seldom used account to join mizmaz and sarah_frances on a lovely winter’s day out around Parramatta. After a lot of walking, this was the last stop for the day on ones my non-premium account could log.
Just enough energy to tackle one more short multi during a long day out around Parramatta. Easily determined clues and a GZ but sadly only found parts of a cache. CO may want to replace with a new container as looks like some recent gardening (or the wet weather) has compromised the spot.
Even though the ground was very sodden, I was able to negotiate the puddles and found the clues quickly. A very surprising cemetery in the middel of Parramatta.

A quick afternoon cache run collecting some multis before heading back home. All caches found to be in good condition. With the cache in hand we signed the log then replaced as found. Thanks for the multicache Toriaz.

Picking up geocaching after a long hiatus due to lockdown. What an awesome local geocache! My husband has appalling handwriting which meant our final coordinates were off, but we found it in the end!
Normally we avoid multis, but decided to give this a go. It seemed like we had made a mistake with our calculation initially, but that was not the case. TFTC. The 4Rods.
I don’t normally like multi caches but this one was straight forward and easy to work out and found the cache straight away.
Between the correct co-odds pointing me to some random bushes a few metres away, it buried super deep, and muggles everywhere, this was more difficult than it should have been but lucky was able to turn it into a smiley.
Found! Had to double check coordinates but found it shortly after narrowing down the possibilities
Woohoo! My first Multicache
I've been meaning to do this for ages now.
I thought I'd stuffed up, my GPS kept bouncing. So I sussed the hint to no avail.
I plugged the coords in Google Maps and that put me back to where I initially looked.. I just didn't dig deep enough
Done the deed, signed the log - not sure why people are signing on one side only but ah well?
Log is in good condition and I returned the cache back to its home with its appropriate cover.

A great fun cache with some fun history about early exploration of Australia. TFTC.
I got up early this morning to be able to come out and grab this one before work.
This cemetery is a lovely quiet place in the middle of a built up urban area. Im glad it has been left like this rather than having the graves relocated and the land built on.
There was only one other person out for a walk when i began and he soon finished up and headed off.
With a morning chill in the air I found WP1 and the information easily.
At WP2 i grabbed the numbers, sat down to calculate the GZ and realized that i had forgotten to grab MA(M)S’s age. Even though i could guess the location i went back to WP1 do my diligence anyway.
Coords in hand i made a bee line for the GZ only to be pulled up at the last second when i heard a couple of women talking not far from where i was. After they had moved on i made the find in the second spot i checked.
The container is in good condition and the log is dry.
Thanks.

My first find !!!
I discovered this cemetery near my work on a lunchtime walk, then looked at the app and saw there was a cache here, so came back again armed with a pen and paper to work out the code and go hunting.
With thanks to Onlysleepn in the US who helped me via 'long distance' discover this hobby, she has been teaching me all about geocaching, answering all my questions AND helped me find my first cache.

We loved doing this cache and finding out about poor Gregory Blaxland. It seems his grave is deserving of a bit more TLC. A very hot day in Parramatta but WP2 provided welcome shade for GZ calculating. A favourite from us for this interesting history. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Ventured west with morty8888 to visit the caches in Parramatta Park and a few nearby cemeteries today. Love these old cemeteries and we have had three today. No problems with finding the WPs or the cache thanks to the generous hint. TFTC Toriaz
OCW Oldmorty in Parramatta City on a quiet, cooler, sprinkly day and another great cemetery with plenty of history. Easy to find the info and cache and a great way of noting who was buried here. Many unknowns though who were in unmarked graves. TFTC!
I was headed to Lake Parramatta for a swim and stopped at this amazing cemetery. Never knew this existed. What amazing history here. Loved reading the cache page and wondering around even though the heat was almost unbearable.
I had no problems finding the required information at the given wpts. Cache was quickly found and is in good condition.
Thanks for pointing out this cemetery. I wonder who else is buried here?

Found with EH and MA while exploring Parramatta. Grabbed the digits at the WPs easily, learning a little bit of history on the way. Once the coords were calculated with some easy Maths (even for Brew), it was a quick CIH. A good multi to complete. TFTC
I'm rather partial to cemetery caches so this one was on my to-do list while I was down in Parramatta today.
I was able to make a straightforward find here, since I'd done the necessary leg work at home beforehand, but I still took the time to visit Blaxland's grave ... and it pleasing to see that his place in our history is acknowledged thereon.
Thanks for bringing me to this historic place, which is in a far better state of repair than the nearby Catholic cemetery that I've just been to. It looked funny though ... the grass around the main cemetery area had all been mown but the strips between the graves were still covered in paspalum and other long grasses ... obviously, the mowing team had run out of time to bring out the whipper snippers.

LouLou0212 wasn’t exactly excited about yet another multi, but I dragged her along. We soon had the needed info and some muggles moved at the perfect time for us to make a find! I took the trackable. TFTC Toriaz
After another local cemetery multi BeckNmonts broke the news that we had “just one more”. Off we went and compiled the information. I liked this multi, it was great. TFTC Toriaz
I love caches that give you some history of the area, and this one does just that. I found this on a quiet Sunday morning with no one about. Someone or something had been near the memorial plaques recently, as there was a huuuuge turd, possibly horse, in front of them which the flies were *loving* but my nose was not Regardless of the potent odours, I sat on the suggested benches and worked out the coordinates and within a few minutes I had the cache in hand. I dropped a travel bug I picked up in Canberra, hopefully it can continue travelling around Australia for a bit TFTC!
As today was quite overcast and somewhat cooler than it has been lately, we thought we would do a few multi caches as these take more time.
This one was the easiest of the day and the numbers needed were readily available and the way point and GZ were within easy walking distance of each other. Once the final co-ords were worked out it was not very far to go to find the container. All was in good condition, log was soon signed and the everything was carefully replaced with plenty of camo. Thank you Toriaz for a nice simple multi.

OCW FlutterbySquishy. We’d planned a few today but I couldn’t resist a second cemetery cache in the same caching session. Even though I asked her if she was up for this one after our almost bungled find at St Patrick’s Cemetery, I wasn’t really taking no for an answer. So we found ourselves wading through knee length grass getting the info we needed. From waypoint two, we went the extra long way to GZ and made a quick find. I love cemetery caches. Sincerely, TFTC!
Coast Blue takes all credit for maths. I take credit for seeing the plaques .. and going the wrong way to the memorial plaque. Lol

I’ve been working in Parramatta during December and parking my car near All Saints cemetery, so this cache with its history was a must. It’s been so hot recently and I’ve always been in a rush to get home, but today being my last day working here meant I had to find it now. It’s a lovely cool morning to stroll around and wasn’t as hard as I thought it might be to find.
Thanks for placing a cache in this historic area!

32nd Australian Cache found with Wystan. Interesting to read the list of names and the ages. Some so young and yet despite the difficult life they must have led, many lived to a ripe old age!
Found with Mrs Wystan. An enjoyable multi. Not too taxing after a day’s work. Thanks.

Having tried a midnight run previously, I was able to come back in the afternoon light and recalculate my coordinates.
I had missed an operative word in my previous run and there was a MA(M)S anomaly that threw me a little.
Glad to lock it away.

Having had some major work done on the car yesterday I was keen to give it a good run today. What better destination than Parramatta and some caching.
Years and years ago before geocaching I used to come to this area with geodog for agility training and before the class we would walk around the local streets. My goodness its changed such a lot. It looks so much neater and more loved and in this area there's none of those skyscraper units that are appearing everywhere.
I love caches in cemeteries so this appealed, plus although I've walked the area I've never been in the cemetery.
It was very interesting, but what a shame that a place with the graves of people so important to our early colonial settlement is rather neglected.
All the waypoints were easily found.
Interestingly the name of the person on the grave behing Gregory Blaxland does not appear correctly on the plaques on the wall.

I had some time to spare before visiting my Mum for father's day...yep! I did that! I checked the description and saw that the mathematics was well within my range. The waypoints were clear and the numbers were found quickly. I sat down and did the maths, then realised that my GPS was in the car...which led me right back where I did the working out! TFTC Toriaz.
Chose this cache to complete because this week we need to do a Multi to earn points for our friendleague to help Locate Mary Hyde.
Found was pretty straight forward Multi-cache very enjoyable, didn't realise Blaxland was buried here till now.

This one was the final of four targets in North Parramatta today and the second cemetery cache.
This one was a nice simple one (the last one I did was much trickier)
Fascinating history too
I was surprised when I saw GZ on my map but made a quick find

Found on a visit to Parramatta. After reaching walking through the overgrown grass I reached WP1 and after retrieving the required information from Blaxland's and MAMS gravesites I made my way to the memorial. I then scanned the plaques for CW. Lucky I didn't have to search hard and CW was located rather easily on the first attempt. I took a seat and notated the required information for the calculation of GZ and the cache's final resting place. A quick scan around the GZ showed that there was only one place this cache could be. Made use of a great hint and located the cache. Great area for reflection. Cache and logbook are dry. No TB's in cache. SL TFTH TFTC. Replaced cache as found ready for the next adventurer. Thanks Toriaz for bringing me here for a little piece of Australian history.
Found with cerata. We had some trouble with the co-ords - even after triple-checking the answers we were still getting a GZ that was across the street. Luckily with a bit of guess work and the hint we still managed to find the cache. TFTC
Did a check on this one today. Log book was looking a bit tatty, so I replaced it with a new one.
Obsolete clue removed from container.

Had some time to duck out with the goeWife to pick up a few caches before soccer presentation this afternoon. She likes multi's and quite a few of these are set up in cemeteries it seems. Always fascinating history to be found and this was no different. Gathered the clues easily and sat down to do the calcs. She made the find after we spent a short time looking in the wrong area. The hint helps! Must look into the AWGS series now that I have stumbled across it.

Drop my mum and dad at Westmead then i meet to Skyejam, Ozuk and Sevabo at Parramamtta Park drive around to find few caches.. beautiful cool weather... Thanks
I wasn't aware that Gregory Blaxland was buried here nor the sad circumstances of his death. So thanks for the cache and a little bit more knowledge.
Came to Parramatta this afternoon for a course, and decided to pick off a few multis before it started. This one is just inside my 10km, so it had to go. Parked and walked to posted coords and got my information. Then headed off to WP2 and after a quick calculation, saw where GZ was. Made the trek over and found the cache straight away. SL, TNLN and noted down the info for the series. Nice little cemetery in prime real estate. Thanx Toriax.
In and around so dropped by to look over Blaxlands resting place. Quickly got the numbers and then the cache and the clue. This area would make a great park, I'm sure the residents would understand. Thanks for placing.
Great cache. Loved the history. First multi/mystery for me.

Found. Stuffed up the digits when getting the dates yesterday but worked thru again last night. Just beat the rain today. Left my notebook with the coords in at home. Luckily I had checked the location on the map and CIH first spot I looked. Made it a lot tougher than it should have been, memo to self, slow down it's not a race.
Once again a cemetery cache is in order for us on this fine Saturday morning. Such a shame that the cemetery is not maintained for such historical importance, found with Snickersallan
Bluewattle and myself love going to all the old resting places and it was a real eye opener to see such old tombstones here. After completing the multi and finding the cache, we read all the names and ages on the plaques then had a wander around the cemetery. Also sad to know they are so many unmarked burial sites in here. Thanks Toriaz for bringing us here & TFTC.
Interesting find, coordinates & Blaxland's story after a stroll with Muggle Dad & dogs from the nearby dog park! TFTC
Today I came here and was doing multi which I always hopeless with it but it was an easy (thank god!) and I found the cache so thank you for Toriaz for bringing me here. TFTH

I'd somehow avoided this cache thinking I had to do the rest of the series first. Recently I'd taken to cleaning out my 12km radius and this was just inside it. Today I came to Parramatta and visited this forgotten cemetery for the first time. The story of B, W and L is well known to anyone who ever went to school in NSW. I've read a lot about exploration and these three get more credit that they are possibly due. Apparently where they go to was not even over the mountains - they could have walked there via creeks anyway but let's not destroy a legend.
Collected the info - nice to see at least Blaxland has a marked grave unlike quite a few famous Australians. Made short work of the find and quickly signed and replaced as rain was coming.
Thanks!

Not sure why I hadn't got around to this one before, but after doing a maintenance visit on a nearby Spindoctors cache I headed over here. Lots of numbers but it ended up being fairly easy. Some muggles around while I was gathering the information, but by the time I had done the calculations they had moved on and it was an easy grab. Thanks Toriaz for the chance to see one of our pioneer's final resting place.
I think I only have Lawson's grave to visit now although I have been to the cemetery. Gathered the required info, made the substitutions and made the find. TFTC.
Today was my final day of work in the Parramatta area, and I wanted to make the most of my visit, so left earlier than necessary and detoured via a few more caches on the way in this morning.... I stopped by here and thought to myself about how cool historic little places are now surrounded by suburbia and you wouldn't know it was there unless you lived in the neighbourhood...or geocache, as the case may be.
I walked over the mark and took a look at Greg's grave, wondering why I always assumed he was a John, so there was my something new for the day. A quick dodge around him had me the next bit, then wandered over to find the rest of the details needed. With that done, I checked the time and realised I needed to move it to make it to work on time, so I left .
Through the day I worked out GZ using the info I collected, and chuckled to myself at my stupidity for not working out GZ this morning...ah well. When work was done, I headed here again, and quickly found what I had plenty of time to find this morning, but hey, you don't know until you know right?
Thanks for the fun and the history, and thanks for the cache Toriaz. A nice one to end my geo-tour of Parra and surrounds

Came here with the sniffles so I looked super in-place
Found the 2nd clue before the 1st!! Helps to be observant of the description!
Trying to follow my compass to WP1 was kind of useless but then saw an abnormal track of matted grass. Nice flowers!
Plenty of rainbow lorikeets out today.

#138 chased around the cemetary looking at the graves around and the amount of history of the district. It's a pity that the area is so overgrown with weeds. Eventually tracked down all of the information and found GZ. Located the cache & signed. This is my second AWGS cache but the first one didn't have a clue as it had been replaced after being muggled. Thanks for the cache & it has been a long time since I have been here
A relatively easy multi with a few twists to the usual style of clue hunting in these areas.
My first thought was how it wad interesting how the grass surrounding the gave stones were left unmowed. But when I realized that I had to walk through the snake lands, I hoped the land keeper showed up soon.
After finding the cache, I just remembered that I had found another one of this series, but lost the clue. I may have to find that one again.
Thanks for the cache.

What an interesting little multi. I've been past here many a time but never been in. Who'd have thought that Blaxland lay here in such anonymity. The final find was easy. All round a very pleasant experience.

1st of explorers. Picked up clue. Don't you think council would mow the place.one of our most important explorers and the grave yard is a mess.
Easily found. I thought it would be more
Difficult to find. No box but then again this is my first and I am not sure if historical locations are meant to have one.

I looked for a about half an hour trying to find this, even using the hint.
It looked as though someone had been there recently but o couldn't find anything.
Maybe have a look to see if it's still there.
I live up the road from this cache, so I'll definitely be back.

Had a bit of time between clients, and was 600m from the next appointment, so thought I'd spend some time here for a short multi.
I gathered the first lot of numbers and headed over to grab the rest. After a brief spot of maths, I made my way over to GZ and was rewarded with a quick find.
Interesting little graveyard this one.
Thanks for placing this multi Toriaz.
I gathered the first lot of numbers and headed over to grab the rest. After a brief spot of maths, I made my way over to GZ and was rewarded with a quick find.

We looked for a while until we realized that we forgot to read the clue! After that it was really easy.

Another little old historical cemetery I never knew about till now. A wonderful piece of history
Had to dodge a council clean up crew working in the cemetery. Kept them at the other end and acted like a family historian

#2506- I came down to Parramatta to get a start on the lake caches, but only did two due to battery issues which took up time. I was on the way back and spotted this one- a multi and related to Blaxland in a cemetery I knew quite well. Stopped and did the quick calculations and headed to the spot. A nice easy, quick one on my way home.

What a sad grave for an national icon!?!
A quick multi. With a history lesson.

Being just under a kilometre from my home, I've been a little slow in getting to this cache (with most to be honest). So with the an hour to kill before collecting my youngest from childcare, I walked to the local supermarket, grabbed a coffee and a cake and wandered to this great graveyard.
I've walked past it many times on the way to work (and should do again), and have actually visited the grave thanks to riblit and Waymarking. After collecting the numbers and enjoying a break, I found the cache in quick time. A great spot and a great cache. Thank you Toriaz.
