Started this series awhile back but couldn’t finish when my phone went out of range. Went back and found the rest today. All in good condition. TFTC
Arrived back to Adelaide after the June Long Weekend in Quorn. We decided to have an R&R public holiday Monday rather than fight the crowds on the roads.
After a nice walk at Brighton Beach with the hound followed by Brekkie at Juniper and Pine I was allowed to escape to collect some caches until 4 pm when we were booked to see Rocketman.
Managed to collect 24 caches in the time allowed which I was pretty happy with.
It was a ripper of a day, blue skies, sunshine what more could you want for an arvo in the hills. Saw a few Roos and some black swans on my travels.
The main aim of today's outing was to pick up these puzzles. All had been solved easily and now it was just about walking and collecting. There were a lot of people in the park today with their detectors, shovels and trowels, but I don't think there were any other cachers. Really enjoyed the walk and the hides. TFTC Lava12

We had solved this very nice series of puzzles before we left Africa, and so finding ourselves nearby today we eagerly set out to explore the gold diggings and of course to find the caches. We were much enjoyed the hike and we read all the information boards we came across - it was interesting to see that back in the gold digging days there were no trees around as none appeared in the photos. This was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and for the puzzle and greetings from Zimbabwe
Lovely day geocaching in South Australia. Saw a snake on the walk here. My heart is still thumping. TFTF.
I solved these when I first moved to adelaide back in February. After contemplating this morning what to do I decided to go for a walk around the gold mines to get some caches.
Beautiful walk in a place I have never been.
All found bar one unfortunately

Decided that the one sunny day this week was a good time to find this series. It was a very enjoyable walk with everything wet underfoot. Thanks Lava12!
Mrs Baking Tray Pancakes invited Mrs Team Crumble to join her for a walk. We decided to trek here and do some caching too. Good old Googly Maps sent us for a scenic drive - learning new roads is just part of the adventure. Our adventure got a bit more adventurous when we got to a track that said "summer track only". It was a bit wet...but we were in the trusty Kia mobile....how bad could it get?
We got thru the big puddles and squishy mud and made it to the gate.
A very brisk walk this morning managing to get our names in two more of these mystery caches. Thanks for the adventure Lava12........now to find a car wash!

A late decision this morning to head up to the Hills, primarily to complete the Jupiter Creek Gold Diggings Walk, but also to find a few other previously solved puzzles along the way.
I really enjoyed my walk around this area - a place I'd not been to before. There is just so much to see, and the information signs along the way help to fill out the story of what once was.
Along the way I bumped into a small group with their metal detectors. They were pretty excited, having found a few nuggets, including one they showed me that would have been 75mm long and about 30mm round. Very impressive!
Thanks Lava12 for the puzzle and the cache. I really enjoyed this series.

found with sir_spectre. Sir_spectre asked me if i wanted to go and see the jupiter creek gold diggings and find a few caches. quick find.
found with jacknor. last time i was here the mini maker wasn't even born, now she is 6.
This part of the cache trail took me along the fence line of the Police Academy
Looks like a good spot for a bit of dive training or forensic study on dead pigs buried in the bush [:o]
A bit of detective work this side of the fence,
revealed a cache concealment

Out on a Easter long weekend caching day. Took geodog Chloe along for the walk and we had lots of muggles to avoid. A lovely location well worth exploring.

I have had these caches solved for the last two years, but the Jupiter Creek trail has been closed due to storm damage since I moved here. Yesterday, to my delight, I spotted that they're open again. Completing this trail today achieved three things: steps for the Prime Minister's step challenge; a daily cache for my year long streak; and a bucket load of points for the Planetary Pursuit challenge! I took the geo-dogs and tackled all of the caches (including Earth) except the two most furthest out (which I'll do on another sunny day). It was perfect weather for a little hike. Thanks for the lovely series.
Nice March day in Adelaide and thought exploring this area would be a nice walk around. All the mystery caches would contribute nicely towards the Planetary Pursuit challenge also!
Found this newer replacement cache reasonably quickly, cheers!

When preparing my holidays I discovered this mystery series on the map and I started solving them at once . So I was well prepared for today's hiking round in this nice little forest! While walking the trail I could see countless butterflies erupting of the tree bases when passing by . Even 1 kangaroo showed up at the hiding place of the traditional cache here in the park..... So I had a really great time and almost every box could be found, except #2 - maybe I just got the wrong coords here . Thanks for bringing me to this interesting and historic area and of course

I have replaced this cache. **The coordinates have been altered slightly.** Happy Hunting.
An early morning walk around the gold diggings looking for gold and caches. So far no gold, 6 puzzle caches, 1 traditional cache, 1 DNF (this one), 100’s+ (maybe 1,000’s) butterflies, 6 kangaroos, many shafts, 1 horse puddler, one Crystal Mine, an adit, White Gully, the Heysen Trail, a place to wash my gold (if I had found any), a chimney, Earth and a sluicing dam.
The note indicates this one was recently replaced but try as I might I could locate it.

My friend & I wanted to take our dogs for a walk...being I still had half this series to do that I didn't get done yesterday...I suggested this area...she was keen...
We did the Northern section of the park today...each cache was easily located...
The cache lid is broken...actually not on the container but everything have been placed in a plastic bags so seems okay for now...it might need looking at before winter arrives...
As we continued our walk we came across a man on his horse coming through the gate...he was going towards the goldfields...we wondered how he would get through with all the fallen/short trees... [?]

Found all 12 on an afternoon walk with the geo-pup. Plenty of undergrowth and fallen trees, and traversed a few tracks that weren't there previously! TFTSeries
I did this whole series today except No.6 which I couldn't find. I really enjoyed the walk around and making the cache finds along with the mine finds. Thanks Lava 12 for the caches.
Found all 12 Jupiter Creek caches created by Lava12 today - what a great series - we thoroughly enjoyed getting all these, and have also learned a bit of sign language too. Some interesting history to be found here. Ended up going through the tunnel, which had a bit of water in it too.
I was having one of 'THOSE DAYS'. [XX(] Finished the weekly shopping and put it away. What to do next, the dusting the vacuuming or the wet areas. Looked outside and the sun was shining gloriously. No choice really, leave all the chores till tomorrow when it is pouring, get out in the sunshine, go for a bushwalk and grab some caches.
So i came back to complete this series. It had been a staple when I was trying to fill my calendar. If I had to work and needed a cache, I would come here and grab one. Finished filling the calendar and still didn't require the last three. Now having retired and finished my calendar it was such a pleasure to come back and walk around the bush in the sunshine. Didn't even mind walking past the ones I had already done so I could get these.
Lucky last and this did take a little searching before turning up the clever hide Thanks Lava12 for this series. I have enjoyed the walks.

We were looking for somewhere interesting to walk today and thought it would be a good opportunity to visit the Jupiter Creek gold fields. We were surprised how many other people had the same idea including families and people with metal detectors. The caches were all easy to find and in good condition. Deciding on the best order to grab them was influenced by the well marked trails. Thanks for the series - we enjoyed it and the chance to find out more about the history of the area. TFTC
Having started this series over a year ago I had been meaning to finish it for quite some time now but for some reason I never got round to it. So today I decided to get out and try and pick upo the last of these caches. I nice day ion a scenic part of Adelaide made for a nice day of caching, and not a single dnf made the day even better.

Decided to take the dog for a walk this morning so I needed to find a few walking caches. There were also a few drivebys thrown in for good measure.
Wandered around the gold diggings but should have remebered to always stay on the track and dont bush bash. Sometimes it's just more fun.
Found all caches relativley easily and all in good condition.

A beautiful day and the need for some exercise enticed me out to this series of geocaches. I started a bit chaotically location wise but got in the rythm and had a very pleasant walk around this interesting area taking in the diggings and information signs, and some geocaches, as I went. I also saw a Scarlet Robin which for a bird-watching geocacher was a treat.
Thanks for this series Lava12.
Thanks for this series Lava12.
We visited Jupiter Creek Gold Diggings for the first time today and had a blast. Solving the puzzles was certainly not too hard, but navigating the trails to access all of the caches in the series was another matter. We ended up visiting 7 out of the 12 JCGDW caches today and will have to return another time to complete the series. TNLNSL TFTC
It was a cool and drizzly morning and we fancied some fossicking, so we went for a walk in Jupiter Creek and found some caches as well. Enjoyed all the hides as we worked our way around the area. Some caches were hard to find with the wet vegetation playing havoc with our satloc but we got there in the end for all of them. Much more successful than our search for gold, no finds there.
Out for a days caching with Mattycat, a coolish day for a wander amongst the mine shafts to clean up the remaining unfound caches in the area TFTC lava12
Another fun day and evening cache hunting with the Froghoppin duo
Finishing off the series !!
Sadly, no snakes were found today, despite trying hard to find one for Mrs Frog mwahahaha

Find number two of our return to finish off the JCGDW series. We were starting to wonder if the signs in the property next door were legitimate, which we soon found out were. Cache was found quickly, as all were along here today.
Thanks lava12.
Thanks lava12.
We really enjoyed our walk through this very interesting area. Throughout our walk, a wide variety of birds entertained us with their chirping and antics. We came across a wide variety of mining heritage along the way, giving a little insight to life and mining activities in teh area many years ago.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache lava12 and for bringing us to this historic and very interesting area.

With all the answers worked out and now Mrs 3LG can tell you all the numbers between 0 & 10 we set of with the company of earthlight, The X Trailers & the Dayseekers we parked near 12 and then set of to start collecting these ones, no wildlife was seen but lots of deep holes lol, its a very lovely spot through here and there were quite a few loud bangs coming from next door at the police training ground with them firing some large gun, sounded awesome : ) TFTC

Remember coming here in the 70's as a young squid. Beautiful area. How do the roos manage to not fall down the holes? TFTC lava12.
Although I have walked around here several years ago it was still a very pleasant walk with the added bonus this time of some caches. Coords were spot on and with the clue made finding the cache easy just as it should be so you are not trampling the undergrowth. Well done and TFTC lava12
The family wanted to walk our dog today and were keen to try a different place than the beach we usually take her. I (almost jokingly) suggested Jupiter Creek and much to my surprise they agreed.
It was the perfect winter afternoon with a little cloud cover and no wind. The tracks were still a little wet with puddles galore, but the little geodog loved it, as did we.
No issues with finding the caches as they are all within easy reach of the path.
Thank you Lava12 for taking us on this walk we never would have thought of if it wasn't for caching.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Currently camped with our Caravan at Kuitpo. We left our Cat safely tucked up in the caravan and set off to explore. We took our geo bikes and tackled some caches on foot and some by bike trying to make the most of the nice fine winters day today.
Solving these puzzles should have been easy for Mrs Felix who has done an introductory course in AUSLAN. However it took 2 goes to be happy with the solutions then being afraid I still had it wrong I emailed them through the my Teacher for checking. Phew 12/12 Just goes to show how quickly you can forget if you don't use things you learn.
Enjoyed our explore through this great area. Took loads of photo's. Thanks so much for bringing us here through Geocaching.
The highlight for us today was seeing a Koala sitting high in a tree right above a GeoCache near Kuitpo Forest.

Solved the puzzles a few days after the series was published, but chose today for a leisurely and very enjoyable walk around the goldfields taking in the history at each of the information signs. Thanks for the cache and series lava12!
Today was the day, I started early morning.
Really enjoy wandering through the bush with tracks and some bushbashing.

Now back home after a big trip with J+J.au including our second OzMega. Trying to catch up on so many logs unfortunately means a far bit of cut and paste. I enjoyed this trail and the pushbikes got another workout. We had a great trip thanks to all of the cache owners for giving us reasons to go, see, experience fantastic locations and challenges. SL..TFTC
I was looking for some trails we could do with our bikes, seen these and thought with a little research I'll have these done in no time. Today Baja15 and I arrived here, wow the amount of holes, the amount of tracks weaving around here.
There are people here with metal detectors, and others just having a walk, well we tested out new mountain bikes and they performers superbly, before too long all were collected, perfect day for this type of activity. Thanks for placing these caches here and a new skill of sign counting sunder the belt.

A lovely day for caching. So off I went enjoying the walk. I was a bit disturbed by the sound of gunfire not so far away. As I progressed through the caches I discovered that the police force has a property next to Jupiter Creek with no entry signs along the fence. Not that I was keen to cross the fence with all the racket going on. However the walk was still good. Thanks lava12.
The Heysen trail changed and civilisation surrounded the area.
Unfortunately, I placed my Garmin too close to the rock now it definitely looks used.
Rather found the chair placed just outside the Heysen gate amusing.
Not sure if it was for the weary walker or a person waiting for the neighbours gate to open!
Thanks for the cache lava12.

Our third find in this series while out on a lovely Autumn day with CPwanderer and Dr Owl. TFTC and series lava12.
Found it! (Of course, random logging is only of use if your fellow walkers do the same thing!)
A great cache series. I learnt a new way of counting by the time I had finished solving the puzzles and I will not forget it. The next time we meet I can communicate in numbers. Just numbers, but is a start. Tonight was the evening for a stroll around the goldfields. And it is a great stroll. The caches were found and the history was read. We were back in the car just as the sunset. No nuggets found.
Thanks for a lot of fun.

I hadn't been back to Jupiter since I placed Earth back in 2002. We wandered around, not always following the tracks (easier to keep on the tracks). Didn't see any diamonds, gold, possums - just the odd skippy. A great series [^]

Today was an exciting day, my first trip in Harry with Locuscache and super dog Brodie. Locus and I headed off early and now we had JJ52 with us as well which meant I was now relegated to the back with the dog who managed to get most of the back seat most of the time.
We found a special park for Harry and had a great time here wandering the tracks and doing some bushbashing on what must have been roo trails. Brodie loved it and the history was interesting. I remember coming here when I was in school, a long time ago now so it brought back memories of that time as well.

Out for the afternoon with Ismartis and locus cache and we decided that it was a good day for a walk around Jupiter Creek Gold Diggings after solving the puzzles yesterday.
We didn't do these in number order as we found ourselves parking quite a distance from the carpark so we just followed the GPSr and had a lovely walk enjoying the scenery and history. [^] [^]
I had not known about the gold diggings here and have now learned more about the history of our local area.

Ismartis and JJ52 wanted a day out caching, in Harry and accompanied by Brodie, and today was that day! Ismartis and I locus cache'd a few on our way to get JJ52 and then we all spent the afternoon caching together
2 DNF's for the day and 32 smileys including a kayak FTF and a great goldfields walk, too! [^]
This had been our main goal for today....to come out and enjoy a walk through the goldfields and enjoy it we did!
Brodie had fun smelling the smells and we all laughed our way through scrub, tracks and very interesting sights [^]
I was pleased that my corrected coords matched JJ52's as it meant that I had solved these correctly which is just a tad unusual for me

We decided an early morning walk was in order today. So headed out here and happened to find some cache too.
Puzzles were solved quite quickly using my Bestie's knowledge and no googles were harmed in the solving.
A great spot for a stroll in a place I haven't been too for ages.

Thanks
Dropped my *FTF* geocoin through too.

Mr Tardis went for a nice afternoon walk around Jupiter Creek Gold Diggings. I love this place, but until today I hadn't walked on all of these tracks.
Mr Tardis found all twelve and managed a silver placing for them all.
A great series with all the right ingredients: puzzles, not too hard, straightforward hides, and a great location with a nice walk.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Lava12.
