TFTC. This had a travel bug in it. Im going to relocate it. I have to find a large enough one around area.
Day 6 of my fortnight+ road trip up to Brisbane eand back to Blue Mountains. A leisurely drive up. Avoiding GC power trails. Randomly driving to various spots that take my fancy. A few Lismore finds, this being the first one. Thanks DiamonJs for this geocache!
Found it quickly. Was a home for a big spider! TFTC A favourite from me and greetings from Orange!
Baxamas907 and Summergirl77, #99. I loved this one! Baxamas was a bit of a sooky squealing pig about getting to this one, hint, the more user friendly way to get to it is go to the water tower first.
Haven't seen one like this for a long time. So a FP from us. Had to fight the ants to get to the log .Thanks DiamonJs
1st cache found on my trip to Adelaide. This ticked off my Lismore LGA requirements. TFTC.
In Lismore for the first time visiting family and so glad this was the first cache we got. Despite the huntsman tucked away, the view was stunning. Fresh names on the new log too. tftc x
PVC plumbing pieces arranged in a variety of ways have made for some interesting caches of various sides. Theyre certainly better than a bison tube or mint tin! Nice to see the extra effort put into these caches.
Very cool, definitely one of my favourites so far! Love the weather proof design
Parked up and immediately admired the view before getting down to the business of finding. Not that it took long with clear official markings on what clearly matches the name . Retrieved the cache and notes that the log sheet was full. Headed back down to the car and retrieved a blank logging strip which I added to the existing one. This will be good for another year or two at least.
Once replaced I headed back down to the car and proceeded to pick up all the grabbing little seed pods that hitched a ride on my shoes and pants in the hopes I would transport them somewhere new.

Nice to find something a little different on our travels today . Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Log is full. Next person here should bring a piece of paper with them,
Nice cache. Easy find and easy retrieval. Beautiful view across the valley which I would never have seen otherwise. Thanks for the cache and for bringing me here.

You can’t get to this cache through the scrub, so you need to go down the lane 20 meters and up the hill. Great cache. Thanks.
Yet another day trip, this time we are heading up to explore Evans Heads and surrounds. Great day and lots of interesting geological features visited.
Heading up to Alstonville now to visit family. Grabbed this one while heading into Lismore, a clever hide. FP awarded

Found today while on a cache drive around the area, We ended up going to Killen Falls, and then down a bit further to obtain a few more finds, ended up with 9 finds and an amazing walk in between!

We spent the morning traversing the Pearces Creek/Wollongbar area, managing 14 assorted finds with only a couple of DNFs. This is such a pretty area, so green and the creeks are looking great at the moment.
This was a fun cache, we bushbashed in, took the path out of course.... TFTC!

Lovely spot and nice hide! The ants had found it too but didn't cause any problems. The log is nearly full. TFTC
A super quick find today. Maybe a little too easy? Took a trackable and will help it along its journey. TFTC
I have driven past this water tank many times over the years. I drove up Pineapple Road and parked in the driveway. I was expecting to see a PVC pipe near the tank but was led over to the corner. What a clever hide. Easy and fun to remove the cache. Thanks Griffo / DiamonJs for the hide
Taking a little jaunt over the border, turning a few caches into smilies along the way. Another fun find!

Sunday. It was an awesome girls day spent with OBC. Lots of laughs and fantastic day weather wise as well. Couldn’t ask for more. OBC had this one picked out as a must do to collect and I couldn’t say no. Fantastic container here, as are many other of this COs caches. We chatted about adventures and what Griffo got up to. We can see why this cache has so many FPs! Neat spot too!
This was the 4th of 37 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***DiamonJs*** for showing us this place

Today was an AWESOME day out caching with Slow Puncture. Starting in North Brisbane at 4.30 am, with multiple coffees, many laughs, and quite a few photos later - we had found some fabulous caches, enjoyed the best weather of the year, and just generally had an amazing time.
Some awesome engineering here from Griffo.
For those watching - the cache and log are fine and no maintenance is required. This one can live on a little longer.

Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Four:
The fourth day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
Another 12+ hour day of caching, one of the highlights was finding nine Earthcaches, I am sure that is a daily record for me! Just crazy! A whole bunch of challenges, wherigos, virtuals, letterbox's and Australia's most Eastern cache were also good to grab. A very long but eventful day!
We started in Casino, NSW at 7am and finished up in Bray Park, QLD at 10pm completely buggered! Thanks to all the CO's

This Cache:
Heading towards Byron Bay from Casino, couldn't resist a large sized cache along the way!
A nice quick find, and an interesting little way to access the log. Cool cache Many thanks

Found during my Mega Roadtrip to the Dayboro Mega with Loci612, with many Earthcaches, Virtuals, larges and LGA's with around 300 finds in total it was a massive trip. Thanks for the cache and being part of the journey.

This one was a lot quicker then we were expecting. Parking safely took longer. Nicely hidden in plain view though. Will have to add the rest of this series to my to do list for another visit.
GreyHams and myself have been targeting counties for some time now and this trip was to be the last of the NSW counties... It would see ALL NSW counties complete!
It sure has taken us through some amazing places in the state as we journeyed through all of the counties, this trip would see the last 23 counties needed of the 129. One again we saw a lot of variety over the four days from the scenic coast, lush green country side, rainforest, mountains and out west to a much drier and flatter landscape.
Counties were our priority for this trip, and an abundance of larges also made the select list, Virtuals, types, old ones, interesting ones and of course DT, if your cache made this list it had a quality that was needed... we also managed a surprise FTF along the way as well!
It wouldn't be a trip without the ladder, or the esky... and good old Qantas happily checked them in with our bags!
Day 1 saw us flying into Ballina, driving North up through Byron, a beautiful part of the coastline where shirts and shoes are optional! After a dash up a hill, it was along the beach to the most easterly cache of Australia, a clamber up the side of the headland for an earthcache and time for a virtual. Driving north to Mooball for our most northerly county and then back down and across to Tenterfield, arriving after a surprise FTF and a long winding drive through the hills where we stopped for the night. Chose our hotel for the man sleeping on the sign, and as advertised, the best beds, and indeed I did sleep as well... the quietest hotel in town where everyone was sleeping and the lady working there the loveliest... and the best Pizza we will ever taste in town!
Day 2 we left Tenterfield with a wave of a local horseman and made our way west to Moree before dropping down and driving to Tamworth for the night. Some unexpected locations along the way had us saying 'there has to be an earth cache on that!' and indeed dropping out of our lists there was and a few extra locations stopped at and enjoyed.
Day 3 was the trip from Tamworth, up to Armidale and back down again to drive across to Port Macquarie before starting our way north to stop in Kempsey. Some interesting caches and tracks, and the good little SUV was the toughest and most reliable of them all for some of the tracks that were lost in the highest of grass and the pollen of the grass seeds that left clouds in the sky as we passed. A trail of challenge caches tested the little car some more and GreyHams navigated us through with ease. The ladder had a work out and some great caches collected for the day with it.
Day 4 we left Kempsey with the plan of driving back to Ballina for our planes back home. Some newer larges had us down some more bumpy wet tracks, some a little more than we could navigate so a short walk to finish. Very tropical with the mountains, even banana trees and so much sugar cane too. A kayak for great DT was indeed a great addition. Also our down fall as the drive was long, the roadworks a plenty and our plane due, it was a rush and many cache changes to ones along the hwy as we raced north for our plane. Just 15 minutes late and watched as everyone else boarded but us. Getting home wasn't so simple, we got to plan 'F' and a journey of planes, trains and automobiles to get us home, but what a great trip!!!!
GreyHams was as always a great companion, driver, navigator, cache finder, planner, ladder carrier, disaster management solver on another very enjoyable trip, NSW counties complete... go team!!! Looking forward to the next adventure!
CACHE DETAILS: Loved the view on the way in and from the cache, love a large and love this cache!

Oh what a trip! We finally bit off more than we could chew but it still somehow managed to end well!
Aquilus1 and myself have been striving on a mission for some time now... to get ALL the counties in NSW. We did the hard ones early actually, via two trips flying to Adelaide and driving to Sydney/Melbourne respectively. The previous trip was a simple Newcastle loop, so....finally the time had come....six months overdue because of Covid lockdowns to complete the last loop: Armidale/Ballina.
Of course, its not just about the counties, we crammed in a bunch of larges, DT, virtuals and even a Wherigo.
Day -30: Qantas screw us over and cancel our Armidale flight.... so a frenzied replan and Qantas agree to fly us to Ballina instead....bonus is that the car hire from Ballina comes with UNLIMITED km's.... this is great as we knew we would exceed the max by about 1200km...not cheap!
Day 1: We fly into Ballina, marvel at the super crap roads and all the people not working, but exercising, without shirts, in and around Byron. So glad my tax dollars support these people! After driving north to scary cow country we went west and made it as far as Tenterfield, but not before we got an amazing surprise FTF on a challenge cache in Casino....happy days! Yet another crazy late night pizza guy, and a lovely motel manager who had the BEST beds in NSW greeted us.
Day 2: Tenterfield to Tamworth, the long way, via Moree. Long drive through windmill country with some amazing walks for oldies and great views of cool mountains.....we said to ourselves "wow, look at that, there should be an Earthcache here that we could log fro the road".... and there WAS!!! We repeated this trick on day 3 as well. Got to love that. Outside Moree we found piles of various grains at the rest stop.... I wonder what that was about.
Day 3: Tamworth to Kempsey, we saw Armidale on Sunday... so quiet, but a great Virtual and a ridiculous journey through head high grass....for someone with allergies this was nuts! We managed a tricky challenge cache series and a multi that required Aquilus1 to go crazy high on a tree.... that ladder was well worth it yet again!
Day 4: More larges and then a great paddle for some great DT. The water at Stuarts Point was so nice, we kept going and going.....which in hindsight maybe wasnt the best idea, but we knew how far we had to get, and how much time we had.... the windy roads then roadworks however messed those plans up. 15 minutes late, watching them start to load the plane we werent on just sucked.... but, the HJ's (and our desperation) fueled the many new plans until Plan 'F', for fabulous, came to fruition.
We made it home, a little later than expected with slightly grumpier partners than ideal.... but we made it! Planes, trains & automobiles in the end..... so glad we didnt have to walk from Goulburn!

Touring NSW with our van Hilda the HiAce. After few days discovering Waterfall way and all the beautiful falls we headed towards the boarder. Last night we stayed in New Italy and today made our way to spot some wild koalas and do some caching. Nice little cache, tftc!
Driving around NSW with our van. Today we came to Lismore and did some caching.

A fun and quick find at GZ with nifty camouflage. Perhaps only a Geocacher would have guessed! Upon lifting the pipe out, we unearthed an enormous ants nest complete with thousands of eggs. It was at that moment that we decided to make a very quick time in logging this one. All is replaced as we found it.
Thanks

Yay!!! It’s huge! Thanks for the great cache. A great find for GLISS! K8TYBEE and I as we travel around county hunting. Thanks for the cache.
Avoiding Covid places and needing a time out from work so hitched a ride with Nibletricecakes and GLISS! armed with hand sanitiser and face masks, we went touring NSW collecting counties.
We started in Canberra and spent a weekend in Bathurst with the capital crunchers then continued on North and West before heading home again. TFTC!

I found lots of caches on a roadtrip holiday up to Byron Bay. Over the course of the week, I targeted a variety of caches that worked towards different statistic-based goals. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their contributions to this fantastic recreational activity.
I'm always very impressed with gadget caches - This one was simple. Thanks!

As often happens, a hide which was fairly obvious (and fully authenticated), still took us quite a while to find. Worth the effort, though. Thanks for the challenge.
Caching in Lismore and surrounds today with GayeNT, NikkiRB and Bev50. Left Tweed Heads at 8:30am to start caching by 9:30am, finished caching for the day at 5:30pm.
We had an aim for 55 or more finds today. This was the 9th (my 4th find) find of 51 (plus 2 GCA caches) caches we looked for. We ended up with 6 DNFs and 45 finds (2 GCA finds) which was an amazing effort!
Out of all the PVC Madness caches this was one of the ones I hadn't yet found. Today was the day! We drove past it the first time and decided to turn around and pull up on the highway next to it. jumped out and Bev50 started looking but not before I looked up further and spotted it right away. GAyeNT and NikkiRB hadn't quite gotten out of the car before I was up the bank and had the cache in hand. FOUND IT! Worked out how to get the log out and had our names on the log super quickly! Replaced the cache and headed on our way.
TFTC Griffo and DiamonJs for adopting and maintaining this cache!

On a caching adventure with GayeNT, Lizbeth1998 and Bev50. Thank you for your cache
I decided that when the COVID restrictions ease we must do a road trip. Bev50 and NikkiRB are my constant caching companions so when I mentioned it to them on Facebook we got a ring in pop up wanting to come. None other than LizBeth1998.
Between LizBeth and I we sorted out where we were going to go and then with the help of GSAK LizBeth plotted the route. 58 GC caches and then we added a couple of GA's to top it off.
We were on a mission - Nikki got her #100, Bev50 was on her way to fulfilling #200, I wanted to achieve #300 and LizBeth was going to get her #500. Well 3 outta 4 aint bad, darkness beat Bev to getting her #200 by 10 caches but that is ok because we will be out and about as soon as the border opens.
Wow I think we need to rename LizBeth to The Flash.. I wasn't even out of the car before she was holding this one aloft in victory. Poor Bev just couldn't keep up with Liz today
