Im not sure if I had cache blindness but I took way longer to spot than I should have, also found another Tott retrieved after a couple of attempts
Great hide! Had to improvis a tool but got it no worries and put it back as found
This was our first cache today! After dropping our to the vet, I needed some distraction time. This cache was perfect for it, and on my radar for a whileThanks!
Pulled up in the nearby carpark with Baristayan after dropping the geo-kitty in at the vet's, and figured what better way than a spot of caching to pass some time before we need to pick him up!This had been on Yani's list for a long while, and I was more than happy to come along for the ride. We retrieved the suggested TOTT, then made our way over to ground zero where we soon spotted the brilliant contraption! Happy to say the TOTT worked perfectly too, and soon enough we were measuring up our names with a pen. Cache returned as found, and the TOTT likewise. Thanks for the fun and the ingenuity!
When perusing the map I came across this cache and was intrigued. I made a decision straight away to go for the "multi component" and picked up the the tool on the way to the cache.
Despite my 5'11" I still needed to gain some height before the tool became a useful tool. But that made it even better.

TFTC. Loved the tape measure. Also loved the different way of getting this cache.
Out on a walk with the kids and geo hounds for the first day of their school holidays.
We managed to locate an appropriated sized implement to help retrieve the cache.
After a few attempts the log book was in our hand and names signed.
A quick return and we were on our way.

#2322 Even though GZ was closer due to my approach, I made the diversion to collect the provided retrieval tool. Then back toward GZ for the cache. It was after spotting the cache that I was thankful of the tool. I would have gotten there somehow but it certainly assisted and made retrieval easier. Thanks 5 Powell for the cache.
Really creative, cool, and fun cache! Found a useful tool right next to cache which helped us get to it.
Love these type! Lxndscxpe did all the hard work like usual.

Rode in on the Mountain bike along the old grassy trail - been through here before. Popped over to GZ, eventually spied it, then used a retrieving tool from the local area to get the cache. Signed & replaced, Thanks. Nice one!
Interesting twist and finally managed to achieve with a handy piece of equipment lying around. Great fun. Tftc
Out for a little caching on my two hour window for adventure! Now that was fun!
Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Thanks to the COs for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

Definitely a favourite from me!! Holy crap this was one of the most technically challenging caches I've ever found! I managed with a handy stick haha tftc
I was in the area and took the opportunity to find this cache. I was quite certain that I knew what the setup was but I couldn’t spot it batter reading the logs I realised that I had stepped over it a few times while looking up! After signing the log I used a natural TOTT to place it in a spot that matches the description. TFTH
A straightforward find, although cache is clearly not in its original position, which is a shame (would have been fun!). Thanks 5Powells.
On our way out of Canberra we stopped here. Unfortunately cache was not up on its place anymore but logged it anyways, tftc!
Pen decided not to work. Logged with photo. First time I've had to retrieve a fit for purpose tool which was pretty cool but unfortunately not needed. Kept looking up but no longer up there so to speak. Needs a new home.tftc
Spent ages looking for this one, in the most likely location given the need for a special tool. Found in totally the opposite location after a hide failure.
Took longer to find the WP literally right in front of our eyes than it did to find the cache.

My son needed to buy a birthday present for a party tomorrow so I conveniently offered to drive him down to this end of town to get it. Naturally part of the deal was we'd have to get a geocache afterward. I had added this one to my list of targets for the Cache Carnival since it had a heap of favourite points. Now I know why and it also gets one from me too.
Since my son was not privy to the details of the cache, he found it most confusing why we were searching for a special cache retrieval tool at the waypoint. It took a bit of time to find it. We had both picked up various sticks thinking "is this it?" It was obvious once we found it.
The cache was quickly spotted at gz, hanging way up high. We went to work using the special tool but we couldn't get it down. Several attempts later and we burst out laughing as we finally (and accidentally) achieved success and discovered exactly how it was meant to be done. Oh what fools were we. The cache name says it all.

Last day of the school term, last day of work for 2 weeks ... decided to duck off somewhere and find this after work, because it has a lot of favourites and I wanted to get all the cache carnival souvenirs... unfortunately I think I missed out on some, because I didn't get all my finds logged in time.
(I logged the others a few weeks ago, but just went to catch up with logging some more recent finds and noticed that I had somehow missed this one)
TFTC - nice walk ... for some reason I don't think I ever came walking here when I lived in Kambah (back when Geocaching had not been invented yet) ... probably because when I went walking I usually headed up the hill rather than around it
Found the tool ok, wandered to GZ and found the cache - the tool was a good hint as to which level to look for the cache at
Retrieved, signed, replaced ... And forgot to measure how long it took me
(yes, a Dad joke ... Quite literally - there have been many times when my Dad has stretched out his tape measure in between me/someone and whatever I/they were doing, and said he was wondering how long have we had been doing it for ... I must remember to try that on someone next time I am at quilting group - lol)

Drove in with fitzy_1965, GSC2000 & death_killer for this event and a bit of caching on the way home so we can get the rest of the 500 points for all the Creation Celebration souvenirs.
Smittengranny asked me to come with her while we were at the Creation Celebration event to get an extra 50 points. Death_killer came with us. Whilst I found the tool, death_killer found the cache and smittengranny signed the log. Great teamwork all round.

Well we measured up OK. It was found with help from my two friends during Tankengines Creation Celebration BBQ down beside the lake today. Minniek kindly agreed to drive me back up here to collect another 50 points during the souvenir hunting game. The tool was found, the cache retrieved and the log signed. TFTC 5Powells
Haha Found today with Joolay on a lovely Autumn walk. Very cool cache gets a FP from me

Totally cool. Found with Kittykatch and combined effort had it in hand. Fav from me. Left extra piece of paper as log was full. TFTC
Nearing the end of our time off work together, 12fieldtrip & I dropped the geokids off at school & childcare & headed out for some caches. The caches around this spot are all really well made & executed.
Now I get it. I'd forgotten the cache name when we found it, so it's just dawned on me! Really good hide & nature had provided a retrieval tool close by. FP from me. TFTC!

Found this nice Cache together with Dino and Flintstones. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it 5Powells.
Wonderful cache found quickly and I had brought the right tool to retrieve it.
The whole family with Betty and the two dogs were up for a short hike and so we picked Mt Taylor with its many awesome caches on the eastern side. Found all cache which were all really good and had a great time with nice views on this warm day.
Thank you 5Powells for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

I've seen a few of these hides so knew what to look for at gz, but they always bring a smile to my face.
Cache easily retrieved, log signed and re-set for the next finder.

What a great cache - a favourite point from me!! I really liked the challenge of getting to this one. Thanks for the cache!
Was in the area doing the nearby multi and decided I had a small amount of time left for two more caches in this reserve given they had some decent favourite points.
Ahh the name of this cache is familiar, theres another one just a little further north! Turns out this one was hidden first though, and the person who hid the other one hasn't even found this so maybe he was unaware of it's existance!
I started walking towards the "tool" but then read a log saying they couldn't find it. Oh well not to worry.
I kept walking and found the most perfect tool ever! Worked a dream! I left it straight under the cache if it's still there for the next person
A really fun cache, I gave the other one a FP point so this one deserves it as well!
TFTC 5Powells!

After so many hot days, it was nice to head out under a bit of cloud cover and do some caching. I went via the waypoint but was unable to locate "the" tool, but I did find "a" tool, which turned out to be too short... Not to worry, there were several appropriate tools near GZ. Took a bit of a fiddle but I was very impressed - I took a few pics to show hubby, he'd like this one! TFTC
Nice cache! We did need a very long tool to reach this, but did so with ease. I don’t think anyone could really reach this one without help. AddictedGamer hasn’t seen this type of hide before, so he was rather impressed with it. Tftc!!!
Quick find similar to one I Found earlier this week actually. Was a little difficult to reach as the cache had flicked over the branch, but in the end retrieved and signed.
I measured up reasonably well. Love these containers, I have seen one before somewhere else and knew immediately what I would be getting when I read the description. I chose a fine stick that was a natural for the job and sure enough it achieved the objective admirably.
Decided to go for a walk with geopartner and geohound around the base of Taylor.
I had a good idea what to look for, so the cache was soon spotted. Then a bit of teamwork to retrieve, sign and replace. TFTC 5Powells

Had a quick read of the description from the cache I was coming from. Hmm. Decided to just wing it and hope for the best once there. A nice walk through the area, haven't walked through before but lots of Kangaroos and very scenic. Spotted the cache and saw what was needed and a quick look found just the thing! Thanks for the great cache 5powells a nice set up!
4 hours up, around and down Mt Taylor, all in a early Sunday mornings cache hunt. Nippy to start but when the sun broke the over the trees it was just the wind that kept reminding me that it was still Winter. Could find retrieval tool at WP1 so made do with something else. TNLNSL TFTC
Actually I did find it and the retrieval tool but am too short to access it! Have to come back with my muggle son-in-law who has at least a ft on me. So glad it wasn't my 400th. Thanks for the fun 5P.
Checked on this one today: plenty of room in the log sheet and the optional retrieving tool is where it should be. Thanks to all for putting it back in the right place for the next finder.
Cache on!
Cache on!
Accompanied with All7.. Was a lovely day to do some caches decide to do this area for the day, TFTC 5Powells
Accompanied with Dragon 1982... Beautiful full sunny and great walked to track and saw few Kangaroo everywhere.... Thanks
Fresh from yesterday's success under the streets of Tuggeranong, this morning my adult geoson and I tackled the lofty heights of Mt Taylor. We proceeded to Chifley for morning tea and returned to Kambah around the western side of Mt Taylor and in the process nabbed five geocaches. All were straightforward, although one was well-protected by scrub, and a couple impressed us. A good morning out and about.
This cache was one that impressed us. In plain sight, albeit well camouflaged, but how to recover? We were able to use a natural cache recovery tool from the immediate environment to effect recovery. Thank you 5 Powells for this cache.

Such a good hide we used the tool so that was a great help. TFTC 5Powells worth a favourite from us
#4742 - 16:05; Decided to do a few caches on the lower slopes of Mount Taylor and after finding a convenient park, off I went on what turned out to be a less than straight forward caching run. This one was literally a stroll in the park, or the nature reserve as the case may be, compared to the previous two find on this mission. It had been my original target and focus of the mission, but the other two also fulfilled the requirements I was hunting for today. TFTC 5Powells
Check on the waypoint tool and the cache today. Everything was where it should be: cache up folks!
Another day of caching for us (love being on holidays!) and today took us back to Mount Taylor and surrounds to grab the caches we missed last time we were here. The Woofer was excited to come with us today and encountered a few roo friends (one giant dead one included!) and got some more "Cache Hunting" practice. We found some incredibly cool caches today...well worth the blisters.
This was the last of our Mount Taylor caches today. What a great idea!! We didn't read about the retrieval tool until afterwards, but happened to find a natural tool at GZ so we used that. A fun end to the day. Thanks 5Powells!

Second one of this lovely morning and it was quite a nice cache . Went straight to GZ as I missed the first way point tool and managed to get it down. Very cleaver. TFTC
I think this is the third or fourth time of have found a container like this. Didn't need the offset tool I just used a previously used device nearby.
Not raining at present but looking very threatening. A hasty retreat back to the parking location is needed.
Thanks

Decided to clear out this corner of Mt Taylor this morning. This was first stop, as I walking past the WP, spent a few seconds looking for it and brought it along just in case my treking pole wasn't up to the challenge. Very clever and bought a smile to the dial. On to the next one. FP awarded
Came out for a wander on the lower western slope of Mt Taylor this morning after dropping off the geo-teen and suddenly realised it was a 5Powells bender!
Unlike Big Green Splot, this cleverly placed cache could be seen quite quickly. Then it was a matter of effecting a retrieval which with local tools a plenty, it only took a second. That is another great hide 5Powells, well done. Another favourite point from me
Cheers

Ace! I love it. I found this ages ago and just realised I hadn't logged it. TFTC.
F(H)ound it! 5pm
Came back to Mt Taylor for this one today because I missed it on my last couple of visits. I'm glad I did cos it was worth it. Marvellous I don't need to climb the hill AND I don't need to climb the tree! (I don't DO tree climbing). I found the tool exactly at coordinates and easily found and retrieved the cache. And again the caching fairies ensured that it did not rain for a few minutes so log has remained dry. I saw lots of parrots and a few big mushrooms. A Fav! Thanks for the cache 5Powells

Following another failed attempt at Workout 101, I returned to the car via the caches on the NW slopes of Mt Taylor. Another clever cache here. I 'made' my own tool to retrieve this one. TFTC.

I really like this one, very clever and unusual! I didn't bring a tool with me but found a natural tool which did the trick. I also checked out the custom made retrieval tool.
Thanks 5Powells, a favourite to add to the well-deserved list!

For some reason I missed this on my walk around the hill, so drove back to grab it. Couldn't find the tool, so proceeded to GZ and used something there to retrieve the cache. Always like this style of cache. First saw one of these near Cobar.
Thanks

#827. 4 days in a row.
Found this cache after work, on my way to Woden. It fills in a gap in my dates hidden calendar, which was why I chose this one. I quite like the concept, so I'm giving it a favourite point.

I checked on he custom get-tool and the hide this afternoon. All OK and in the right spots and ready to be found.
So I spent a few minutes looking to no avail, what was I missing? I was very relieved to spot the cache, but from previous cachers the tricky part was retrieving it:-) Tools are easy to find and once I worked out how to get the cache, I thought, only brilliant minds can come up with something like that. Well done and a fun cache.
Having to put aside a planned walk in Namadgi due to the need to be in mobile phone range (while on call for work), a local cache walk seemed the perfect plan to complement the previous day's local cache walk. This was right in the middle of the run of 11 finds (and one DNF) for today and I was keen to see whether I would measure up.
I found my way firstly to the special tool spot. Which tool was the special tool was not immediately obvious, but there was one prime candidate and in the end it proved to be ideal.
Finding the cache was quick and easy. Then a bit of head scratching and studying from different angles, working out how I could possibly retrieve it (the easier bit) and re-place it (far less easy). A bit of careful experimentation, something that appeared and looked disastrous but wasn't, and the realisation dawned. From there a bit of deft handling and the deed was done and the tool returned to its shed.
This is a very clever set-up - I admire the work put in by these Powells (even if I was quietly cursing them a short time later). TFTC and a favourite from me
