Another DNF. This series is slowly breaking our resolve. We searched high and low and expanded the search but still nothing found.
The track is fun the location is great but sadly the series is a bit forgotten.
At least its not far from home and there are lots more caches in the area for us to find.

Out caching with FROSTY87 and the family for fathers day. After starting this series a few weeks ago I wanted to finish it off and thought what better day to do it. It was a wet old day but that didn't deter us. We had a few wins and unfortunately a few DNF. Great location for a series.

Headed out with Loudy16 today after managing to work in a caching day into our schedules. We have both been out of caching for a while, so the morning was very slow to start with. We started with a section of the Stand By Me series, and then completed the Stephen King caches.

Lunch was a stop at the Jarrahdale, with a beer or two and a nice counter meal.

After lunch we headed off to complete the latest instalment of the Civilisation Series.

TFTC shayne'o.

shayne'o, I found your cache Stand By Me - Davy Hogan & the pie eating contest on 18/9/17.
This is my find #5333 and find #57 today.

**Found this while House Sitting in Bedfordale** Cool

*Out and about letting my GPS be my guide*...

A overcast but fine day to be out and about with the rain holding off most of the day but there was still plenty of water laying around from the recent rain. Parked nearby and strolled to GZ... I too enjoyed this movie and the book as I was a Stephen King fan. Managed to grab 39 Smile today with 2 DNF's Sad I will be back to collect the remainder along the trail. Cool

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment shayne'o. Appreciate your effort. Big Grin
Greetings from Victoria.

Had a huge day out caching in the backwaters of serpentine jarrahdale completing the Stephen king book series by Jinta29 along a "4x4" track.

We had a lovely morning cruising along the track in my mazda3 which handled the bumps nice and easy with Cravo only having to get out to check the track a couple of times.

We found all containers in relatively quick time with well placed hints and good co ords. We met
Some trailbike riders along the track who were
Most
Concerned about how we got "this far" in "that"! The track wasn't too bad except for a few wet spots with the recent rains.

After completing the 40 caches we had left after our FTF hunt the other night we ventured along to the stand by me Series to cleanup there as best we could along the old disused train line. We found all containers relatively quickly compared to my last visit here with richlinks and jacobscrew who brought me in to help cleanup the DNFs they had from their first attempt. All found in relatively good order.

We then continued around jarrahdale, collecting other random caches including a couple of archived caches which are still there and in great condition.

We finished the day off travelling to cardup and collecting a couple of caches in the local reserve along some sandy tracks which we've always found an excuse to avoid!

Thanks to the local COs, especially Jinta29 for a great days caching. Thanks

Miss-Placed and I came down to meet Becknmonts for one last caching adventure before she ventures further afield. We headed off from Gero finding a few geocahes along the way, we stopped at Moora for Breaky and with quite a few laughs along the trip down, we got there

Our 3rd day of geocaching we went back to finish off one of the series we didnt finish yesterday, love these series definitely getting more than 30 min of excersize, nice, sun is finally coming out, then off to do some more geocaching in ther area, Off to standby me series, now thats a series and a half, got most done, heading back out again to finish this series on sunday and then do some other caches

Deciding on having a go at this series, we set off to see what we could see.... and boy we saw some monster hills and even climbed them!! Crazily, we even went down them, we are dtill weighing up which was the most elegant, but we are deciding on neither at the moment.

With fading light we decided to down tools and head on to our accommation for the evening.... never fear, we will be back! TFTC

Gabs1963 and Miss-Placed came down to meet up with me for one last caching adventure before I venture further afield. We finished being civil to each other in the morning. So the afternoon was difficult, having to stand by each other, as well as some other caches. TFTC shayne'o

Out in the hills to chase the Stand By Me series and a couple of other caches onboard the new geo-4WD.
Most caches were easy to find, and the track was not too rough only the vegetation was a little bit overgrown here and there.

Out in the Jarrahdale area this afternoon I started off with the new 'Jarrahdale 4x4 Tracks' series and then thought I might see how much of the 'Stand By Me' series I could do on the way home. I was going in the opposite direction than the CO intended and had a go at 15 with three pesky DNF's.

The track was pretty easy going for the most part with couple of gnarly bits here and there. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will be back one day to finish them off.

Yay! An easy one, should be more like this I reckon.

Grabbed my bike and headed to the hills to finish off this series. Definitely upped the ante on these as I spent far too long looking for them and only knocked off half of what I wanted. Didn't help when the GPS batteries died and the iPhone was used.
I will be back soon.
Thanks Shane'o

We were getting tired when we got to this one, so were pleased for the easy find.

06-Jul-14
After dropping geo-hubby and Mr iluvtrekking and Mr JacobsCrew off to complete The Gnome Hunters series, the female halves of the teams set about doing the Stand by me series. We broke the series into three sections and had to move two cars about at different pick up spots. The rail line was negotiated easily enough but constant rain played havoc and we all ended up pretty hydrated. Only had three misses - even after returning again to recheck the spots. Thanks shayne'o

06-Jul-14
With the menfolk off Gnome Hunting the girls headed off to find some of the caches around Jarrahdale. We enjoyed this series, the walk up the rail track though was pretty heavy going in places, the heavy rain didn't help us any either. Unfortunately three of this series alluded us today. Thanks shayne'o.

I was standing on the longitude with the latitude out by 300 m, so I went straightlining, got around some private property and wound up back on the line where the longitude intersects again !! L pencil sharpener A fave for the series. t4tc

Out today with Chwiliwr and his Better Half. They had already done the earlier ones, but I was more than happy to tag along with them and do the newer ones first. Most were found quickly though a couple of them had us stumped - yes, the same two that others are also struggling to find. Straight forward find here Thanks for the cache and the series shayne'o

Out on the trails today with Skippy46, her grandson and Justintime13 to do the STAND BY ME SERIES. We managed 19 finds and 2 DNF's, and we certainly had an adventure!

With lots of thrills and a few spills we had a pretty good adventure.

Easy find made by Justintime13, we had a nice walk to this one, although im sure we went the hard way.

We left a tag in most caches we found today, for the next finders.
Thanks for the cache Shayne'o
