On a mission this avo to show some love to some of Horowhenuas Lonely Caches. This one just scrapes in at 104 days since last found. AND its a cemetery cache which is my favourite. Cache in good nick, and well hidden in a little nook. Mihi ki a koe mo te keteroki #286
In Levin for Twig's cannon ball. Rally weekend. WWE had a free morning to gather up as many caches as possible. So big Sis and I targeted trads that I hadn't looked for. We started at the northern end of Levin. My first cemetery cache for the day. Thanks for the cache Ewakef.
The Great Geocaching Tour of New Zealand Cemeteries rolls on. In Levin this morning with rattll for an event. Some time to fill in before the event started, so came up here to pick up this cache. All peaceful at GZ, made a quick find. Tftc!
A small group of us from Team SEAC consisting of Keylev, Stik-A-Crane, Uncle Sam and ourselves had come down from Auckland to spend the long weekend caching in the Manawatu area. The plan was to get as many as possible. Along the way we had some great adventures, many laughs, met some interesting people and found a wide selection of caches. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC.This was day 4 of our trip and we headed South from our accommodation caching down SH 1 to Levin and back through the towns to Himatangi.A nice quick find here.
Took the TB.Day 4 of our caching trip to Palmerston North area with HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, and myself, signing in as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save logbook space. A big thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance, making this trip the success that it was.TFTC.
Day #4 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend.I don't often like visiting cemetery's but this one was a nice little one and very tidy and serene. Found nice and quickly in a bunch of very interesting little trees. Thanks for the cache
Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. This was day 3 of our trip. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
Heading to Wellington with Phronimos for his last cache of a challenge. We also stopped by some other caches along the way! including GC46!
Took a couple minutes to spot, had to widen search area Amanda soon had the container in hand. We suspect this cache has been moved.
I wrote in the log and placed the cache back as found. TFTCSL, Thanks Ewakef for this Traditional cache.

Found it after a while searching. Took travelbug to New location south island
Very good.
The bag containing the log book has split.
Though the log and contents remains dry.
Cheers

The first time I've visited the cemetery and found it devoid of walking-talking-living beings, was foiled on four previous occasions by hordes of bereaved muggles. Found the nicely presented GC with encouraging information for any non-GCer who happens upon it. Cheers for that.
Could have sworn I had logged this cache, but here it is, still unfound. Looking through past logs it was way back on 4th February. A bit rusty about what happened, but I do remember it took a ruddy ages for TrinityNZ and I to find this. In the end it was where I was sure I had searched here before. Twice. Didn't help working with a phone which is a bit iffy under the trees.
Strange that when people say its an easy find, and that the coordinates are spot on, it takes me forever. But it was not just me - Trinity was here too. And with four pairs of eyes... well, it was all bad. The cache turned out to be in a tree I thought I had already searched. Found it eventually, thankfully. Nice tree covered road approach
With my original plans for the weekend cancelled I got a sudden invite from a geocaching friend for a trip to the Ohau. TrintyNZ had six caches she needed for a challenge. I had a few I wanted but mostly it was just a fun day out. So I got up early (ie, my normal time) and took a bus into town and another out to Waikanae (no trains - maintenance everywhere). And we headed north.lots of light rain - I should have brought a raincoat, but then it turned into a stinking hot day - I should have brought a hat. I did bring sunscreen though. Needed it, too.

Road tripping with TheSeagnoid today, looking for some February challenge caches.
Others have said this was a quick find, but not so for us. We tried many spots before TS got his hands on the cache. I was convinced it was the area I was looking in, as my coordinates were leading me there, but I was wrong yet again
Thanks for the cache in this peaceful spot.

A nice little cemetery, not too many muggle visitors at this time of the day. A short walk to GZ and the cache quickly spotted. TFTC

Didn’t realise there were some memorials over there. Pretty little spot. Zayn2016 found this one. He liked the spiders that also shared the cache location. Great hide. TFTC!
Mart0r, SkyCraneKid and I attended TwigNZ's event today, having made it to Levin in double-time (literally, it took us twice the travel time to get here from Palmy! )
This was one of the caches we stopped for while out finding FtF's that were released for the event.
We found the cache fairly quickly, and then spent even longer watching the young Tūī feasting on the seeds in the grove.

A quick find on this nice dewy morning. All quiet here today so we were in and out quick.
Gorgeous little spot, perfect for a cache. Visiting with RogerW1nz, GBLeader and Justlooking00 after the Cannonball Run. TFTC.
#1883. Following the Cannonball Rally 2 in Levin, GB Leader, JustlookingOO & Itchyfeet2020 embarked on a mini caching spree around the outskirts of the town.
This was our second post-rally cache, a nice easy park and grab in a lovely serene cemetery. Itchyfeet got it quite easily.
Tftc Ewakef.

This was on the way to another cache I wanted to collect, so naturally stopped by to have a look. Nice and quiet here this afternoon, no problems finding the cache, cheers
My third visit to this one, other visits there people gathered near where the cache was so chose not to search. This evening was all quiet for a quick find. All safe and dry here, TFTC
The Dead Center of Town. Not to be confused with Middle Earth. You could say Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows.
Found the other day with squishysgirl and sliverklaw27 we left a tb in here to rest tftc loved the place so peaceful
Great cache sad to say the spider wasn't resting in peace today I broke the web accidentally brutally is well and I left a travel bug here today
Quite busy Sunday afternoon. No muggles near hiding spot though. Easy find. Thanks for placing the cache
#8084. I decided to take a day off work and head up to Palmerston North to attend the Community Celebration event on Saturday at Ashhurst. So picking up a few caches along the way. This was one of them. Must have driven past this road to the cemetery dozens of times previously while geocaching north of here. Decided today it was long overdue for a visit. I parked at the gateway and headed down a roadway only to discover I must be on private land. So crossed the fence into the cemetery grounds. Checked one wrong object before spying another one nearby. This was a far better place and nicely concealed the cache. Signed the log and replaced everything as found. Picked up two trackables. Thanks Ewakef for hiding the cache here.
Found 9.30am
Couple of options with this one but the Squirrel made the find. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We were really keen to log a Leap Day Event cache and collect the souvenir, but our nearest was the camp-out at Awhitu. We have already cached in that area and wanted to use our time a bit more effectively, so we reasoned that a trip south would be worthwhile. There were three events in the Manawatu region. Road trip...
A worker was emptying bins nearby and must have pondered over our visit this morning. Persistent rain was obviously keeping the general public out - but not us. We went straight into action, skirting around the graves and onto ground zone. A quick sweep of the possibilities and we had this one in hand. Thanks Ewakef and TFTC.

What a lovely peaceful place. We were fascinated by the number of locations which could have been referred to as hollow - made it an eerie place in some ways - but the actual location was a quick find. Log is safe and dry, and returned as found. Thank you for the placement.
After getting drenched in the rain truyng to get my son the international caching day souiner i found this cache after some searching to find my pen was in the car and cache had no pen (tho description said it does) so i will return to the cache at later date and sign the log
Thanks very much for the nicely placed cache. Found after a short search and all in good order.
Quick detour on the way back from Foxton Beach, no problem finding and signing, nearby wedding party was far too busy revving the V8's to take any notice.
Day 2 of our New Years trip up to the North Island. Today we traveled from Upper Hutt through the winding Akatarawa Rd up to Palmerston North. A quickish find here by Mum while I was still checking out a deeper hint that was closer to the GPS's GZ. We left a Rainbow Bead Tail. Took the GeoTag to move on and dropped off 2 of our own TBs while we found a container big enough. Thanks for the effort involved in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy.
A few good hiding spots here, but I managed to locate the correct hide.
I dropped a TB here - seems fitting for the location.. maybe
Found at 12:49 - #8657 - on a 5 week trip in New Zealand
