----------

Given what appears to be ongoing issues with this placement, perhaps it's time for the CO to visit and check the situation - confirming the cache is actually at the listed coordinates, please.

Unfortunately we had to adjust our world trip quite a bit and we are temporarily in Motel in Attwood. While waiting for a return flight to the Netherlands, I am geocaching nearby.

The first day I had a wonderful walk of about twelve kilometers through the Addwood Creek Reserve and Westmeadows.

Attwood Paddocks # 1 Dam View -> Little bit of searched and found in good condition.
Attwood Paddocks # 2 Bike Jump 1 -> Searched some time (not found yet) --> Need maintance?
Attwood Paddocks # 3 Bike Jump 2 -> It took some searching, the log paper is wet, logged on the cache itself.
MPCT5 -> First on the wrong side of the water, therefore walked around a bit and logged the replaced cache first: D
Valley Park Community -> Fast found.
Bill Goats Gruff -> Found nice and smooth.
# 5 Pipe Line -> Also not found yet, need maintance?
# 15 George Look out for that Tree -> Fast found.
# 1 Scouting Around -> I couldn't do much with the hint. Finally found.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Staying in the area while B attends a conference so G decided to go caching. This was the first today ad it was the closest. Was a bit worried by the DNF but had to pass on the way to the next ones. Arrived at GZ and after a short search located the cache exactly where the hint said it should be. Signed the log and replaced it in the hide exactly as it was requested.

#8479 - 16:50; In Melbourne for a conferenc e and after sitting all day, needed to stretch my legs. The clouds looked ominous and I took shelter close to GZ as a light shower passed over. I spotted something once the search started, although I did think it could have been a piece of rubbish. Turned out to be the cache and after signing the log, returned it to its hide, but gave it a bit more cover too. TFTC Team Campion Smile

I was out and about in Melbourne finding some caches, so came over towards the airport to find a few more. I had also walked around the nearby Woodlands Nature Reserve. Some of these caches were found at different times, but I am only just getting around to logging them all now. Thanks to all those who have placed caches here, and apologies for the generic log. Read through the description and also the helpful hint too. TFTH Wink

On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.

We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.

Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.

Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.

We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.

We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.

We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.

Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.

Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!

Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.

Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.

Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

The container wasn't too difficult but not too easy to find as our group had to do a little bit of scouting around the area. It was hidden very well and hard to find as there were so many places to look. This one was the most challenging geocache we did today and we had to search very closely in the area where it was placed

**Tip:** The container was a lot closer to the tree than expected
**Find #:** 2

Our first cache in Australia! Short search with caution, being nervous Brits, revealed the cache and luckily no evil things to bite us! New sounds for us coming from the riverbed made us smile. Put TB through for mileage. TFTC and all the best from the UK

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###
A basic tenet of geocaching is that the cache log needs to be signed to record a find, see here; [Logging of All Physical Geocaches.](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#logging ) At the moment this would seem to be extremely difficult if not impossible to meet that requirement in regard to this cache.

Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [Temporarily Disable and Enable,](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)

Please respond to this situation by **2nd August** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and indicating a date when you believe the situation will be resolved.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

Had a look while attending the Scout Hall tonight and the cache is in good condition but it needs a new log which I will bring over next time I remember.

We think it is well and truely due for one of those **regular** owner maintenance visit please.
There is no identification to say it is a geocache and there is no log book.

A sunny Sunday morning, beneath the Tulla flight path - not sure now why people are so concerned about wind farms, we could even hear the vortices as the planes landed. After a disappointing French experience at #26, we enjoyed the short walk in this part of West Meadows and soon had the cache in hand.

Thanks Team Campion for placing this cache.

Found this one this morning on a quick outing before work. The rain was being kind and staying away for now, which is a big bonus.

I found this one after a minute of scouting around the area. Thanks to excellent coords, i knew where it would be, so it just took some poking around to make the find.

The log was pretty soggy, so i had to be very careful when making my mark on the log.

A small window of time between kids birthday parties to head out and look for a few caches saw me heading out to nearby Westmeadows. There is plenty of choice out here, mostly thanks to Team Campion but I've only been out this direction a few times so I had plenty to choose from.

After a short walk over the bridge to GZ I spotted the cache fairly quickly but had a fair bit of trouble making much of a mark on the log as the container and bag holding the log are very wet. I tried to empty out as much water as possible but the whole container needs a good drying out. Thanks for the cache Team Campion.

I have been feeling a little run down for the last two days, and decided to manage my wellness. Does it ever strike you, that if we traveled back in time a couple of generations, and started saying the things we generally bandy about, these days, that we'd get some sense knocked back into us? If, in the 1940's I sought out my rellies, and said "I felt I need to manage my wellness" they would likely tell me to "stop yer mytherin' and eat yer bacon and eggs, that will sort all that ails thee". But nowadays, you , or at least I, analyse the intricate details of my diet and activity, track it all on apps and with activity devices, and google the bejesus out of any minor ailment. Having done the above, I decided that I needed two things. rest and a jolly good walk in the sunshine. I put myself to bed at 8;30pm last night, and as soon as I woke at 6;00am I analysed the details of my sleep graph, and looked the other way while I poured myself a lot of coffee. with sugar. yeah, yeah, I know. I ate a hearty bowl of home made muesli, with fresh apple, and prepared a lunch of nuts and cheese. Then after dropping off all the children, I took myself on that walk.

I had been in this area recently, getting 'the treaty of Paris' and had discovered the juxtaposition of the huge mansion-like houses and the equally huge piles of trash, I should have had a vague idea of what I was letting myself in for, but here, at the more mansiony end of the equation, things were as picturesque as a babbling brook through a meadow.

The cache was fairly swiftly found and signed. the log was damp, so I snapped a photo of my signature, in case the ink dissolved away into a blue smudge on the paper. 'write in the rain' paper might be an idea.
