Time to go

There was definitely no need for chains today. I searched everywhere at GZ but was unable to come up with the goods today.

Unless it's become a part of a birds nest I'm abit lost. Will look again next time

Was in the area and needed to stretch the legs so stopped here for a gander. No luck at finding anything of interest here, but then again, my mind was on other things today. Will try again next time I'm passing by.

Found at 4:22 pm.
A long term multi location project brought us to this location today. We had been meaning to do it for a while so chose this weekend. It was lovely on arrival, 11 degrees, thick fog, light rain and very strong winds that instantly inverted the umbrella so that didn't get a lot of use. Oh well, at least it wasn't snowing. The drive up here was ok with the awesome road holding and handling of the ute, however I had to pull over a couple of times to let the Porsche, Lamborghini and BMW M3 car club groups fly past.
I had only been up here once on a freezing cold day to do the LGA challenge and grab one cache and go so it was nice to walk up to the summit and check out all the ski runs.

We were heading back towards home now and we were asked to check on this one. After calling the CO and luckily with Fleabag- being tall we found the tiny cache. Quite tricky for a D1.5

Thanks for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Nearly 2 years back, I started on a cache that would take me to many places and this was to be the final area. I had been dropping hints fortnightly to Spiffy- that we could come up here, but either the weather or another plan, plus the tough drive, kept putting it off. Today though, even with some rain about it was still warm and before another snow season set in we decided to go.

A stop for a stretch and we needed exactly that for this cheeky hide.

Thanks to BaLuke for the placement and fun.

On the way to Baw Baw for some cache maintenance with BFG and decided it was about time I put a smiley to this one.

Not having a good trip find wise. Even after reading all the logs and scratching around underneath we couldn't find it

No go here

Didn't see it today will be back again

Having a 5 minute search for this one found nothing. Reading previous logs I was dubious of making a find after no recent finds being logged. And with the shop over the road having glancing looks at me searching I finally gave up.

Found with FUF009.
Today we left Walhalla and headed to Mt Baw Baw.
We had to adjust our route because the GPS kept trying to take us down a dirt road that looked like it would end up needing a 4wd.
We found lots of caches along the way and heaps up Mt Baw Baw.
We were lucky with the weather and to have avoided the bushfires.
Thanks to all the COs for their caches. Tftc

Find # 7942

A road trip with good friend sharkiefan. Plan was to go Walhalla for a couple of events and then up to the top of Mt Baw Baw before getting back to the City.

A quick find while heading up the Mountain Road.

**Find #3300**
**Mystery Cache Find #506**

I headed into the mountains with SteMicMitSar today. An early start and a long day followed. We DNF'd here in January, 2015 and this was the first time we'd been in the area since then. This cache had changed markedly in the interim and we were confident of an easy find, but that's not how it worked out. We searched high and low and found nothing. Sad Reading previous logs told exactly where to look, but there was nothing there. I was ready to call it quits but Steve persisted and found the cache in the grass. Surprised With the log signed, the cache was placed in a spot where it is less likely to be muggled.

*11 Nov 2018, Found @ 8:35 am, Find # 8518.*

Today I headed out with biggles1024 on a re-run to Mt. Baw Baw to try and clean up what we had failed to find last time some 3 and a half years ago as well as the ones we didn't get a chance at looking for.
We had failed to find this one last time and things have changed a bit with this one since, today we thought it would be easy but that wasn't the case as we searched high and low and nothing was seen, we were nearly ready to walk away once again when a last minute look through to grass reveled the cache container, the log was signed and it was replaced a bit higher than where it was found, hopefully it will stay there for the next finder to find.

**Thanks to baluke for placing this cache.**

We were having a bit of a look around the Noojee & Neerim areas today and before heading towards Willow Grove we diverted slightly to search for this cache. While searching in the usual place I happened to glance at the ground, as you do when trying to avoid blackberry prickles while wearing thongs, and to my surprise there was the cache container! We weren't sure where it was supposed to be hidden so after making our mark in the log book I just hung the container by the attached wire hook to the rear of the information board through a *bullet hole!* (I'll contact the CO to see if they can reinstate the container back into its correct hide.)

As said it was laying on the ground so we guessed a location for the cache.

I was heading to Mt Baw Baw for the day on a FTF Hounding trip. After a long drive I was looking for a place to stretch my legs and the town sign for Icy Creek appeared. I remembered this town had a cache and stopped at the only thing in town, the information sign, to check my notes.
The cache was quickly found after getting downloading the coordinates. Thanks for the cache Ba Luke

I think someone in the aforementioned snow chain hire place might have taken an interest our outlandish shenanigans for a moment. Then they disappeared. We seemed to get away with it. The log was signed by buhfuhguh without too much delay at all. Thanks BaLuke!

Ah what a day, another planned trip with Bendsinister up towards Mt Baw Baw, but also this time we aim to collect some unlove (even replacing an old nutcache cache) and also to pick up some of the Rockwiz series and the odd traditional along the way. So off we went meeting at Cranbourne for our journey for the day.
And after grabbing most of the caches we aimed to find for the day, only having one or two dnf's on the day as a whole we headed back home after dark decideding to taking the way home via moe to grab a couple puzzles that we both had been working on.
Anyways sorry for the generic log. But thanks for the cache and the lovely day out today.

With a week off from the normal grinding routine I sat down and wondered what to do.
With fine conditions forecast for the following couple of day I knew that a day trip to the southern high country and a region I haven’t been back to for a couple of years was a great idea. Quite a few caches had been published since I was last here and so got up early and left home at 6am to arrive at the car park by 8:30am.
Reviewing he cache map headed off up Muellers track with the main goal to find the 2 outer lying caches Gwinear & Orities. All up a 16km meander and was exhausted by days end. A clear indicator that my fitness needs to improve. Headed back down just after 4pm and was home by 6:15pm. An awesome day. Cool

Interesting local history

While on the drive home stopped by this one for a quick find. The last found today.
Big thank you for all the caches of yours placed around Baw Baw. Some great hides and variation.
There is still more there so I'll be back one day to find the rest.

This was a very quick and easy find along our route as we were heading up to Mt Baw Baw. The log and container are in good condition and all was put back where it had been found. It was a lovely quiet place to stop for a short break. Thank you to baluke for another smiley to add to our map.

Went for a bit of a drive after work to try and fill a couple gaps in some challenge caches.

The area is quite over grown, the grass was over my waist in height I bit the bullet and gingerly made my way to were the cache was hidden. It was wet under foot after the over night rain. The cache was found in good order and quite dry.

How cool was this one. Didn't even realize there was a cache here when we first stopped off on our adventure up in Baw Baw. After a quick find, the log book was signed and replaced in its original location. TFTC.

its now just a container until I can replace the original concept.

Had a long hard search for it, couldn't find anything Sad

With 4 of us searching we had no luck - and we had a long search.

With so many dnfs perhaps a main check or increased D rating is needed.

Cheers

We searched high and low, we poked and prodded, we got up close and personal and then stood back to view from a distance but we couldn't find or see whatever it is we were supposed to.

05-Jan-15
We had a bit of a look around on the way up to the mountain, but there was nothing that we could see as well as not understanding what we were meant to see, so we went on our way to where we wanted to be.

01-Jan-15
Could not work out what to do unfortunately

Checked out GZ but no idea whats required of us. Maybe you need to be a local? New snow sign in place.

My very *FTF* ... Super Excited to find this one first AND ... also to be discreetly mentioned Smile This certainly could be classed as a "One horse town where they shot the horse" ... or perhaps it could be a "One cow town". Although I am impressed to see they do have toilets and a telephone ... bigger things could be happening! Thanks For The Cache Baluke! Smile
