The coordinates are for Dunn Field in Elmira, NY home of the Elmira Pioneers. Back in the 50's Cal Ripkin Sr. coached here and they were linked to the Baltimore Orioles. Around 56 or 57 the team became linked with the Boston Red Sox and Wade Boggs and Curt Shilling played here. The Pioneers are not linked to any team now.

This is the main entrance to Fifth Third Field located in Toledo, Ohio. It is the home field of the Toledo Mudhens, the International League Champions in 2005. It was opened in 2003. Thanks for the idea.
Bloch Park, located on Dallas Avenue in Selma, Alabama, was home to the Selma Cloverleafs, Deep South Class D baseball. Selma was the location of farm teams for the New York Giants (1957), Kansas City Athletics (1958) and the Cleveland Indians (1959-1962).
The Selma Cloverleafs played under the Alabama/Florida League from 1936-1939 and again from 1951-1962. They played under the Alabama State League from 1940-1941 and from 1946 to 1950.
Players who made it to the Majors out of the Selma Farm teams were:
-Max Alvis (in Selma in 1959), Cleveland ('62-'69), Milwaukee ('70).
- Larry Brown (Selma 1959), Cleveland ('63-'71), Oakland ('72-'73).
-Doc Edwards (Selma 1959), Cleveland ('62-'63), Kansas City ('63-'65).
-Jerry Fosnow (Selma 1959), Minnesota ('64-'65).
-Tom Giordano, (Selma, 1958), Philadelphia (AL) ('53).
-Steve Hargin, (Selma, 1961), Cleveland ('65-'72), Texas ('74-'77).
-Johnny Lipon (Selma 1959), Detroit (42-52), Boston (AL) (52-53), St. Louis (AL) ('53), Cincinnati ('54).
-Lou Piniella (Selma, 1962), Baltimore ('64), Cleveland ('68), Kansas City ('69-'73), New York (AL)('74-'84).
-Duke Sims (Selma 1960), Cleveland ('64-'70), Los Angeles (NL) ('71-'72), Detroit ('72-'73), New York (AL) ('73-'74), Texas ('74).
-Larry "Moose" Stubing (Selma 1957), California ('67).
-Roy Wright (Selma 1957), New York Giants ('56).
The defunct Selma Cloverleafs were brought back to life for the 2002-2003 seasons as Class B of the Southeastern League, an independent minor league baseball league that operated in the southeastern and south central United States. Its team members were not affiliated with any Major League Baseball team.
The league play began in 2002 after the demise of the All American Association. For its inaugural seaon, it placed teams in several southeastern cities, including Selma, Alabama. Two additional franchises were added for the next season, however just two games into the season, the Selma Cloverleafs folded, forcing the league to operate the club as a road team for the duration of the season.
Ultimately, the league could not survive the arrival of affiliated baseball to Montgomery, Alabama, and folded prior to the 2004 season.

This is the San Luis Obispo Baseball Stadium in Sinsheimer Park in San Luis Obispo, California, home to the San Luis Blues Baseball Club. If you want to see why baseball became our national pastime, come on out and visit during the season. The Blues are a semi-pro team in the California Coastal Collegiate League. Other teams in the league include the Santa Barbara Foresters, the Salinas Packers, and the Monterey Bay Sox.
Davis Park, located in Pikeville, KY was home to the Pikeville Cubs an A League team associated with the Chicago Cubs, during the late 70's and early 80's.
Many fine players went through this league including Darryl Strawberry (drafted by New York Mets 1983) and Greg Maddux (drafted by Chicago Cubs 1984).
Several years passed with only High School games played here until the early 90's when Pikeville hosted a Frontier League (http://www.frontierleague.com) team for three seasons. The Kentucky Longrifles were coached by former San Francisco shortstop Johnny LeMaster.

After checking with the cache owner we decided to submit a find log for this cache. This park had previously been logged when the Triple A - Calgary Cannons / Florida Marlins affiliate was in town. Well the Cannons left town about three or four years ago and became the Albuequerque Isotopes. For the last two seasons the Northern League Calgary Vipers have played at Foothills / Burns Stadium. So we've captured the park, GPS on site and the flashy Vipers logo on digital and have posted the pictures. TFTH and hope for a short winter and the early coming of spring.

Keyspan Park is the home of the Brooklyn Cyclones. They are a Class A affiliate of the New York Mets. The stadium is located on the Coney Island boardwalk.
The coordinates are for the main gate to Kiwanis Park, home of the Moncton Mets. They are our local minor league team in the New Brunswick Senior Basebal League.
The history of this field starts in the late 1940 early 1950's. My wife godfather Thomas Guzek and his friends organize the American Legion League of Southeastern Pennsylvania. They found a location in Penndel Pennsylvania and built the Penndel field. Its at this location that many non-drafted baseball players of that time came to try out for the AmericanLegion teams. The minor league chain for the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Athletics was almost non-exsistant. Many of the players were given tryout and a few made the teams. Unfortunatly my wife god-father died in 1952. For many years the Thomas Guzek" trophy was given to the most valuable player in the league. Due to the rapid rise in leagues and the number of players involved the field became too small for the size crowds. The league moved in the early 1960's. Today this filed is the home of the Penndel Wildcats.
This is William Grayson Stadium home of the Savannah Sand Gnats. They are anaffiliate of the Washington Nationals. My wife and I were on vacation in Savannah and thought this was a rather unique name.
This is the home field of the Staunton Braves - Ted Bosiak Field at Moxie Stadium in Staunton, VA. The Braves play in the Valley Baseball League, a 10-team NCAA-sanctioned league in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Here college players spend their summer days at a typical student job and their nights on the diamond, playing only for the spare room, home cooking, and hospitality of their host families; the chance to improve their skills; and (of course) for the love of the game.
Checked with the cache owner before logging this find. This is the Lake Elsinore Storm's minor league facility which is a part of the San Diego Padres organization. The diamond is the name of the stadium and the storm plays in the California league. It is a beautiful stadium. Will upload pictures when the geo-rangers attend a game next baseball season. Thanks for the locationless reverse cache!
The new home of the Corpus Christi Hooks (Texas League, AA Affiliate of the Houston Astros) is Whataburger Field. From the stadium, fans can see Corpus Christi Bay, shipping channel, USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. The facility has the look of an old cotton warehouse and debuted it's first game on April 17th, 2005.

This is the Vocanoes Stadium in Keizer, OR. The SalemPirates had many a fun evening watching the game here.
Sick's Stadium was named after Emil Sick. Located at the corner of Rainier Avenue South and South McClellan Street, it opened on July 17, 1938, and cost $500,000. It seated 13,000 and was home to the minor league Seattle Raniers and Seattle Angles between 1938 and 1968. In 1969 the owners tried to install a major league club at the stadium, but that venture did not last, and it was used for the Class A Seattle Raniers from 1972-1976. It was demolished in 1979. There is now a Lowe's on that corner, and only two signs remain to show it was once there. They say "Historic Site of Sick's Stadium, 1938-1979, Home of the Seattle Rainiers Baseball Club". There is more info about Sick's Stadium at http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/safeco/game/oldbp.shtml.

Paterson was opened in 1949 as Municipal Stadium and renamed in 1950 for the man who donated the land for the ballpark, William Burns Paterson. In 2002 & 2003, The Montgomery Wings of the Southeastern League made Paterson their home.

#6 of 11 on the weekend. I hope this counts. This is not technically a minor league field; but rather is the home of the Harwich Mariners, a Cape Cod Baseball League team, the most highly touted amateur league in the country. It is located in Harwich center, and the field gates were closed so most of my pictures are from outside. The most recent major league ballplayer to come from the Harwich Mariners is current Red Sox, Craig Hansen.

A couple of years ago we used to watch their games regularly. There might have been a crowd of fans of 50 to 100 people, which is a lot, considering that many people in Austria don't know the game and the rules.

This is a great one. We love minor league ball. Actually this is Cobb Field home of the Billings Mustangs. It is a Rookie League, Pioneer League with the teams located mostly in Montana, Idaho and Utah. The parent team for the Mustangs is the Cincinatti Reds. Rookie ball is always a game of what can happen. Some of the more notable players that have played their rookie season here are George Brett, Tom Browning and Gary Redus to name just a few. Sims Legion Park in Gastonia, NC has been the home of the Gastonia Rangers. The Rangers left several years ago and we don't currently have a minor league team in Gastonia. They were an affiliate of the Texas Rangers and played in the Class A South Atlantic League. Sammy Sosa played here before making it to the bigs. The park is still used for American Legion & other games.

This is the home of Waverley Reds baseball club in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Waverley is one of the biggest and most successful clubs in Victoria with several players attaining some success in the American Leagues (not sure whether any made the majors 'though). Baseball is not the most popular sport in this country, but does have a dedicated and avid support base in most areas, and the national team has had some success in recent Olympics.
Hope this meets the requirements,

4.30pm. We don't have baseball leagues in New Zealand, but we have Softball.
The game is also played on a diamond with four bases.
And the same ammount of players, the only difference that I can find is that the pitchers does not stand on a mound, and also the pitching is done underhand by swinging the arm around backwards and letting the ball go when your hand is by your hip.
This field is in Albany, New Zealand and is the home of North Harbour Softball.
Cheers M&S [:O)] (110)
