serious regeneration going on since the big fires of January 2024.When barricades are removed we'll re-enable
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Albany yesterday. Today we explore the Torndirrup National Park. After our visit to the Torndirrup National Park we drive for a while. the recent bushfires the trail was closed and we could not reach the cache.**~Tango~**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. Yesterday we drove from Esperance to Albany. The trails we had planned for today are closed due to work. Since we found three caches of this series yesterday we thought we should try to visit the others in the vicinity as well. Let's see if we can find enough information to be able to find the bonus. To get to this cache we wanted to walk the Point Possesion Trail but found out that this trail was closed due to regenaration after fire. Hopefully the area recovers quickly.
Unfortunately, the cache had been left out in the open. We have rehidden it as close to GZ as we could. Left 3 marbles, took Brig Amity coin. TFTC!
Out with my daughter who lives in Albany. What a wonderful walk and views long here. Thanks for the journery Tango . Greetings from Melbourne
Awes spot cache was raided but we hid some goodies great walk the 3year old managed the whole trek unaided
Out on the Uredale Point trail and grabbing the caches along the way. It's a great walk and enjoyed finding this cache at the halfway point. TFTC
After hiking in Stirling Park we were a tad early back in Albany and decided to go to Point Possession to grab a couple caches. Nobody around so it was easy to search around. TFTC
Found on. Drizzly walk that ended in sunshine! Awesome walk, took an hour and forty minutes from car park and back. Well worth it! TFTC!
2nd find of the day with papabogs. quick find. left some cool shells found amongst the seaweed
Nice cache. The walk is really nice, with beautiful views on coves, the water is a magnificent blue on this sunny day.

Found yesterday but ran out of battery on my phone to log it.
Little bit of bush bashing but not sure we approached from the best direction.
Great views.
Left a travel bug.

I helped out with a geocaching course at the nearby Quaranup camp (I drove a coach load of kids down from Perth) and got the bug again...
This was a very pleasant heart starter before breakfast and only about 4km round trip from the camp, mostly along the beach.
Good to see an ammo can again, just where my rusty cache-sense said it would be!

Some more down south of Albany. Enjoying WAGB21 weekend. Bit of a walk though. Quick find. Thanks for the hide
Found it while doing the Pt Possession heritage walk. Great views. Thanks for the cache
Really glad that we made the walk to this cache and discovered this place. Great day for it too, and good timing, as tugs guided ships in and out of the port.
Dropped off two Travel Bugs which we've been holding onto for far too long; "Cylinder Piston on Tour" and "Travel Bug Fußballer", both of whom started off in Germany so might enjoy each other's company for a bit. Safe travels!

Quick find but disappointing to see it is visited so infrequently and there's next to nothing in it.
Great views. One of our favourite spots to walk the doggos. Took nothing, left Coles collectibles little book. TFTC
What a Vista for a break..clouds clear..sun shines..glorious day to be out and about in Albany..cache and log in good condition tftc
Day three of a long weekend in Albany..The main aim for the day was to hike the Vancouver Peninsula to enjoy the scenery and pick up a few caches. Soon found the cache here and all in good order.
Thanks for taking us to this beautiful place. Enjoyed the views from the cache even spotting a few more places we want to visit from here. Hope to find more of this series but I think it might take me a few years.
Great walk to Point Possession today, getting some fresh air, sunshine and some much needed exercise. On a TB rescue mission, which was successful.
Nice walk to blow off some isolation cobwebs, beautiful view to boot. TFTC!
Quick find once in the vicinity of GZ. Done as part of a trail run from Whalers Cove car park by Geohusband. Great views though the weather was changeable! Cache in good condition. Tftc!
Worth the walk out here, excellent views of Albany and great beaches. The weather this afternoon was perfect, only issue was a small snake in the middle of the track.
TFTC
Pick up TB, Whistle.

GPS battery went flat but we managed to find it with the map! Teaching the kids to cache. Dropped off a trackable. Tffc.
Found on a walk on the Point Possession Heritage Trail today. A nice walk, I enjoyed the mixture of bush, beach and seaweed walking! The cache was found after a short search. Thanks for placing. I left a yellow whistle TB that has travelled with me from NZ.
Forgot to log this one a while ago. Back when I was caching with noslwonks. TFTC
We are spending a few days in Albany hopefully to gather the information needed to get the final. We had a lovely walk along the beach and it bought back memories of the last time we grabbed a cache out here. Found the cache and grabbed the required info. On to the next one.

Day 254 of our 366 day straight challenge. After spending the morning taking the geokids around Frenchman Bay, nanna took on babysitting duties so ChrisRG and hubby and I could go for a nice afternoon 'stroll' out to Possession Point.
Made it here from the suggested parking spot in just under an hour. With this being the main goal for today and starting our trek a little later than planned we thought it best to head straight here after finding WAs oldest cache. Hubby found the cache after we all looked around for a few minutes. Got the code, 2 down 11 to go. TFTC and a fav from us

First cache for the year! Took a little bit hunting. Well worth the hike! TFTC!
I am visiting Albany, staying with my fellow Australian Aid volunteer Rachel and her husband, and sought out this cache during my visit. It was a straightforward find, being on the coordinates, and the coastal scenery along the walk was superb. Thank you tangowithcupcake for installing and maintaining this cache.
Went for a walk with the family clan. Good hide on a beautiful spot in the world! TFTC
TFTC! An extended weekend allowed for some quality caching in the south of the state, which called with an absolute scorcher around Perth so we headed down to the Mandurah and Harvey region on Friday to cleanup a heap of caches before setting off down Albany Highway to the great southern region of this state to pickup a few recently solved puzzles and the seemingly ever growing sea of green dots with some new caching teams keeping things growing around these parts.
The highlight of the trip would have to be the walk along the point possession heritage trail to the Vancouver peninsula in search of wa explorers vancouver.
We found a good variety of containers around town collecting another 15 or so off the map. We're coming back down to these parts for Australia Day so are really looking forward to getting tommy goal of cleaning the map of all green dots in greater Albany, only have around 70 to go.
Thanks to the COs for a huge weekend of caching!

Seem to recall there was a cache near here before which we did on a walk some time ago. So it's good to see that this beautiful spot and one of our favourite walks still houses a cache. TFTF
I set off early this morning to find this cache stuck way out on at the end of the peninsula
A lovely walk today with the sun actually shining
Good views out over the isthmus at about the half way mark, before the track descended to the sandy shores
I headed along the more sheltered, harbourside shore
Then it was time to make a choice, left or right ??
I headed over to the ocean side again to head up the hill.
Which took me the long way around to reach the top
The views up here a pretty speccy [^]
And I have discovered the Canadian connection thanks to a plaque and the cache notes !!
A short wander from the cairn, I found me a well hidden cache and a clue to the final !!
Thanks for the cache and a damn good wander !!

Lovely walk out with clear views all around. Pleasant afternoon tea and a geocache to go with it. Thanks for the opportunity!
Found it while on holiday in Albany.
Nice walk on Christmas day.
Coords were out by 12 metres, so we had a bit of bush-bashing first as apparently some previous cachers.

Pt Possession is my new favourite run trail. Camp Quaranup is looking great today too. Thanks for the cache!
TFTC. Lovely walk and you can only imagine what the thought when they lander here all those years ago. Easy find.
Found it! Fortunately a quick find and could nip away from the group walking with. TNLN TFTC.
65 mins return, but that was difficult, near high tide meant much soft squelchy seaweed walking. But excellent location, thanks.
Another of the explorer series found. Have waited a while to do this one. Fantastic day for walking today. Many others on the track. Very popular walking trail. TFTC tangowithcupcake
First find for a very long time. It has spurred me on to find some more. Thanks Tango!
Took the family for a walk up the hill from the western side which is probably steeper. Great photos from on top at the memorial.
