Today we are moving on from Liffey Falls to Miena so naturally had to stop for a couple of caches. Made a nice quick find here as a snowy cloud was blowing in. TFTC
Time to head back down to the lowlands after a beautiful, sunny, warm day exploring the lakes and mountains that surround them.A tricky little hide.TFTC biggles58Keep smiling

Hi Biggles88, TFTC.
En route to Burnie to visit PharmaAl and thought finding some caches via Highland Lakes Rd.
I can't believe it took me so long to look in the obvious place - d'oh!
Thanks for getting me to stop here.
Cheers, EPs.

Travelling over the highlands with Angus, 88. Stopped on the side of the road for this geocache. Took a few moments to find it and then suddenly I had inspiration and there was. Thank you for this geocache.
Decided to drive home from the north west over the lakes, to avoid all the roadworks on the midlands highway. As I came through this area I was very pleased with my decision - the tea tree and other wildflowers in blossom made for a stunning drive. Pulled off to get this driveby cache. It was a nice quick find if you have found caches like this before. Thanks for the cache biggles58.
Good hide. Easy find for the experienced. Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Out for a drive in the highland with the geo queen (Tilly 1962) who quickly located the cache. TFTC
Tried this one a few months ago so passing through again thought give it another go and lo and behold there it was, Good one TFTC
A quick find as we have encountered these before

Heading north today with RLD4963 for a couple of days. We had driven along this road a couple of years ago, and we are pretty sure we stopped and looked for this one - however, we had just had a DNF further down the road at the time, and we just didn't have our caching mojo. Today, after just avenging that same DNF we returned here and made a find. No time to hang around though as the 'feels like' temperature is just on zero despite the still sunny conditions!

23 March 2021, not a good spot to pull up but a nice, quick find. Birds singing, blissful quiet, thanks for making us stop
A great day so I am looking forward to locating caches from Deloraine through to Poatina. I inadvertently drove past this cache and had to back track. Once at GZ I knew roughly what to expect so a quick find was made. Thank you Biggles58 for the cache.
Lovely ride back towards Devonport. Easy find if you've seen this type before. TFTC
Today we're off to Cradle Mountain for a couple of days of "economic stimulus tourism". Unfortunately for us, the forecast's looking terrible (up to 75mm of rain in the next two days!), but we're determined to make the most of it, including caching along the way where possible.
We figured we'd head north today via the Highland Lakes - it's an area we've not explored much previously, so we figured it'd be more interesting than the usual "boring" route via the Bass Hwy. We're glad we made that choice - it ended up being a great day!
As we wound our way north from the lakes, we spotted this one along the way and figured it sounded promising. Turns out it's better accessed when travelling southwards, but a quick turn at the next possible spot soon sorted that out.
At GZ, we immediately spotted two likely-looking spots, with one looking quite promising. A quick check of the GPSr agreed with that notion, and we soon found ourselves with cache in hand within moments of inspecting the location in question.
Thanks for an interesting hide in a good spot!

Sneaky hide. Had me scratching my head for awhile. Stood back and thought about it and the place became obvious. TFTC
Having had success just back up the mountain a bit, we needed to stop for this one, but this time had to do a u-turn to be closer to GZ. Must have a heavy accelerator foot today ! Any we went to the logical spot to start a search which was quickly concluded as Mrs rhubarbroad literally put her hand right on this one. Log was full, but dry and we had spare strip to add. Rolled carefully and replaced as found. We approve of these types of hides, so take a favourite from us biggles58.
After going to Liffey falls for the last day before it was closed for the time being I decided to duck up the road to find a few DNFs and a new wherigo.
Logbook is a bit average here but managed to make a nice and easy find but couldn’t sign the book

After climbing the nearby Quamby Bluff and given the rain and wind had set in it was time to do some caches closer to being a drive by.
We thought the wet was making us colder and then saw the snow and ice warning signs and notice the ice warning flashing on the car dash board as the read out said 3 Deg C and that’s with out the wind chill! A look out the car window and we could see the snow on the side of the road.
Some settling of the GPSr before thinking this might be a little different to Dingle Dangle and a new spot was tried and there was the cache. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Spent the weekend at Cradle Mountain and decided to head back to Hobart via the Lake Highway. What a stunning drive it was, and there's not one section anymore that's unsealed. Lots of brand spanking new bitumen, and a very pleasant alternative route that we'll use a lot from now on. TFTC!

Tassie Trip Day 188 - We missed a number of caches on our great lake loop and wanted to return to deloraine for a look at the town and we also to a drive our to the falls but didn't get to the falls just the picnic are which was a very nice drive and a great spot for lunch.
This was a nice quick find once the obvious place was search the log signed and returned to the place it was found.
Thanks biggles58 for this spot to stop and cache.

This morning I arrived in Devonport from Melbourne on the ferry and what a change there has been in the weather! After a week of caching and camping on 30+ degree days as I slowly made my way from Adelaide, it was now under 10 degrees with howling wind and showers.
Nevertheless, I set off to find a few caches I had targeted - a mix of puzzles, multis, traditionals and a wherigo - as well as a few other opportunistic finds along the way. Most of my time was spent between Devonport and Great Lake, returning to Deloraine for the night.
This was a quick, opportunistic find as I made my way back down the hill towards Deloraine.
Thanks biggles58 for the cache.

While the drive across the open plains is rather boring,
the descent at the northern end is simply spectacular
And on a clear day,
you get the sense that you are a long way above the coastal plains at this point
TFTC and quick stretch [^]

Found after looking in the wrong spot. Cache is all good...tftc biggles58...cheers ST.
Quick find - but as we found the cache and are about to sign the log, two car loads of young guys pull up, they had been drinking. One in particular gets out and he is in long sleeve sweat shirt, red roses head band, and underpants. He is wearing a lime green mankini over the undies and pink fairy wings. Sorry about the picture we painted.
It was his bucks night and they are on their way to the Central Highlands Lodge. You can imagine the entertainment the locals will get.
Anyway we thought we had been massively rumbled when they pulled up only to have a great laugh.
Thanks biggles58. We have to give this a fav just for the novelty of the wildlife.

After being too slow on the GPS we drove past this one and had to come back for it, Goose stayed in the car and 'remote controlled' me to find this cache, even from the car he was correct and we were soon signing the log well Goose signed it from the comfort of the car after I passed it to him. Great little hiding spot in a specie area.

We missed this cache in our haste and drove on to the next one heading north. After finding that one we came back up the hill and parked awkwardly party on the verge, partly on the road. SSR got out but I stayed in the car in case I needed to move. I yelled out "it will be in the ...." I was right! He brought it back to the car to sign and replaced it quickly. Now I had to turn around, it wasn't busy but vision was not fantastic up or down and clearance is awkward with my car. With SSRs guidance and all the sensors beeping madly I made it around safely and were heading northward again. Thanks biggles58 for a good cache and the additional heart pumping!

After living in Tasmania all our life and not visiting Corinna on the wild west coast we decided it was long overdue to go. We had planned a trip couple of times, but events intervened, but not this time and there was an added bonus in that the accommodation had on offer three nights for the price of two.
The route was via Zeehan and the Flatman barge crossing of the Pieman, which was the first day back in service after repair, then north through Waratah and over the Central Plateau home.
It was fabulous and we are making plans to return again

Back in Tassie with whitewebbs finding caches that have been published since our last visit, this is one of them. We targetted the caches in the centeral highlands on a great day out, not too cold!
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Nothing much on this evening so headed up to the highlands to find a few caches that we missed last winter due to the heavy snow falls. Being a biggles58 hide, I knew I'd possibly be in for a challenge once at the GZ for this one. The phones GPS was wandering around a bit, and the hint had me looking for the wrong thing fora short while, but then I started thinking of previous hides by biggles58 and soon found the very sneaky hide.
