Found after tails. These are cool caches. This is one beautiful place to visit.
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.We were able to find the "head" quickly and are happy to add a blue "bow" here too.Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from SwitzerlandPS: Translated with the Deepl app
After finding tails I went back to this one. I now found it straight away. Perfect hiding place. Favo. Thanks for showing we this place.
Nice and easy! Unfortunately I got no paper with me to replace wet log. Tftc!
Kiwitrecker1 and I began our southward journey, the GPS was spot on and I quickly spotted the suspicious superfluous item, further investigation soon revealed the cache - a very clever hide!
We are visiting Totaranui from Palmerston North. Quick search and we had the cache. Nice and sneaky one! Log book was a bit destroyed and we had forgot a pen anyway so we have a picture of it to prove our find! Thanks for hiding!
For this time of the year we good very lucky with the weather walking the track. We spend 3 nights in hut and 2 nights we had the whole place for ourselves. Found some geoaches on the way. TFTC
It was supposed to be sunny today but it’s currently raining however that didn’t deter us from doing some caching. Managed to find after a short search. TFTC
Walking the Abel Tasman Track over 3 days. Started at Totaranui and aiming to finish at Marahau 3 days later.
Of course had to pick up some caches on the way.
Had done a small loop to start with but now we were on the main track and under way.
Having found tails first this was an easy one to find.

Day 1 of our 3 day walk to explore this area.
After getting dropped off by the boat, exploring the area and having lunch it was now time to start the walk but not before a quick stop for this.
Nice quick find here!
Thanks for the cache.

Had to go back a second time to extract the log with some pliers. Managed it and put it back as I assumed it should have been. TFTC
A quick easy find of the first of this nicely named and constructed pair of caches. A favourite from us. TFTC
I had been planning this trip through the Abel Tasman for a long time now. I had finally done the whole thing with an awesome crew of people to go with. Stunning weather for the 3 day journey from Totaranui to Marahau. Enjoyed every bit of it, even though I have ventured much of the park before. Yay. A good find for a cool cache. I found it difficult initially coming up with hiding spots. Regrouped, trusted the co-ordinates and had a look in a place I had neglected before. Find #711.
Couldn't make heads or tails of this one. GPS took us to the middle of a wire strand fence beside the path, with no obvious hiding spot in the vicinity. Had a bit of a fossick about, but after the frustration of the previous cache, didn't waste too much time on it.
Found with NZDi while out caching in the rain during our extended Marlborough Anniversary weekend holiday. It is Marlborough Anniversary weekend and our whanau took advantage of a Covid-19 reduced rate at our favourite holiday home in Pohara. Due to the reduced tariff, NZDi decided to extend our stay after the others had gone back to work and school in order to do some caching in the area. Unfortunately, the long term weather forecast didn't extend out to six months, so we didn't realise then that the weather for our extended part of the stay was the worst we have ever experienced over here.
By lunch time cabin fever had got the better of us, so we put on our coats and ventured out any way. In the end we got twelve caches between here and Totaranui and an excursion to Paynes Ford.
Having previously found 'Tails' against the CO's recommendation, this was a QEF. NZDi found this one after I found the other. A different take on the same theme.

Found while caching with Kiwimykl, refer to his log for details.
By the way, Kiwimykl has been on holiday too long, today he dated all his physical logs 02 Nov 2020, but it actually 03 Nov 2020.

Visiting from Nelson for a few days. Today's mission was a bike ride from Wanui Bay to Totaranui and back, with an 8km detour to Awaroa. And to find some caches along the way.
Having found Tails at the other end of the camp, it would be rude not to come and hunt out this one.

Found tails first as that's nearest the site we're camping so this was a really quick find with Mr6. Tftc
Nice little cache to celerate the end of the walk for us, time to go and set up camp for the night. Cheers
Great cache and a nice welcome in to the bay. Fab camo - gets a favourite point from me. TFTC.
During our roadtrip through New Zealand I found this cache "Heads (Nelson\Marlbrough)" from StickmanNZ on 29 februari 2020 13:26.
Again my cell phone jumped a bit all over the place and this cache requires a proper location. So I took my old Garmin and not much later stood close enough to spot the cache. More or less identical to a cache in The Hague in the Netherlands to mark a testdrilling of Shell (BTW no oil was found)
Groetjes/Greetings and TFTC from a Dutchman (a long way from home, but home is here the heart is, on the bus).

Stunning stunning stunning.
Spent the day at the beach, peak season and still almost nobody at the beach.
Beautiful spot for snorkeling.
And on the way back to the car (would have loved to stay overnight but it was fully booked) I quickly looked for this one.
Was a bit hard to get the log out, maybe someone can add a bag (sorry I didn't had one).

Great hide. Reading the description still made it cryptic but once we were in the spot one of our crew clicked and we found it.
Staying at the campsite for a few days. A clever wee hide but easy to find. No room left on the log so will come back to put extra log paper in the cache.
Found immediately, so thank you for making me feel clever! Our third day on the trail.
Log book is pretty small! We squeezed our name on! Last bit of our 3 day tramp now complete. TFTC
Today is our 2nd day in the Abel Tasman NP staying at Totaranui. We spent today walking/tramping to Awaroa then back to camp by water taxi. We found this one not far from camp. Today we enjoyed the beautiful scenery from the tracks.
Thank you for the cache.

Wir sind heute ein Stück des coast Tracks gelaufen, dabei ist uns dieser schatz über den weg gelaufen.
Aufgrund des Cache Titels haben wir das geniale versteck aber schnell gefunden.
Vielen dank für den schönen Cache!

Spending the day at Totaranui with three of our grandchildren. We have not been here for a few years and we were pleasantly surprised with how good the road was. Maybe we have just been on some really crappy ones as we travelled around the South Island over the past month and this one seemed particularly good.
Anyway this was our second find of the day, which I am pleased to say was almost an instant find. Signed the log and returned it without anyone around the area, which was a bit of a surprise considering how many people were camping here.
We set up our picnic area not too far from here and had a wonderful day enjoying the beach and the area.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

#3861 Found quickly, I know this type of hiding, anyway nice one! Thanks for the cache, greetings from Czech Republic.
Walked the Abel Tasman coastal track with the kids aged 9 and almost 5. Stunning weather. Grabbed this one as we came out. Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micro caches). Find # 1937. Happy New Year everyone.
Found it, after a time searching, our first guess was right, just didn't try hard enough.
Found this Geocache during our multi-day hike along the Abel Tasman Coastal Track. TFTC!
Took us a while with the limited coverage, but it was a good hunt and I'm glad we persevered! TFTC
Waiting for the rain to stop before starting the track. While some huddled under the shelter a few of us went for a cache hunt. Glad we got this one this year. Last year the tides were different so we didn't have time to stop. TFTC
Ran off from our group while they sheltered from rain to grab this one we didn't have time to find last year
Awesome hide. Haven’t found one like this in way too long. Did this one at night after setting up camp so no one would be around. TFTC!
#176 we couldn't find a head so we decided to start with the tail and it was much easier. Funny hide was found fast and a head was found immediately afterwards.Tftc
This one was a bit more difficult than expected, due sudden appearances of muggles.

Taybeedragon, Zara and I are on a three day geocaching extravaganza curtesy of Her Majesty the Queen. Happy birthday, Liz!
We were getting now where with the search until I read he description. Crafty hide? I'll bet... and I was right. While we were not finding the cache we found a LOT of rubbish here. Picked it up and brought it out with us.
Amazing to see all the pukeko and weka out on the camp grounds this morning. Especially as I see that weka were extinct here not that long ago. They have really thrived!

Its a long weekend so The Seagnoid, Zara and I are off for an adventure to Golden Bay. The Seagnoid is navigator and Zara and I pair up getting us from A to B??
Hunted around here before The Seagnoid rechecks the details then zeros in on it. Lots of rubbish dumped here so picked it up while The Seagniod tags the log. No rubbish bins about so left my parcel on the back of DOCs truck. Cheers

We are keen geocachers on holiday from Tauranga and grabbing a few smileys as we go. Saw quite a bit of this beautiful bush as we tried to work out what the clue meant. Once in the right area, it was finally spotted and the clue made sense. Pleased to report that your well set-up and nicely maintained cache is all good. Fave point for this clever hide. TFTC

This year me and RobLigtenberg were lucky enough to spend almost 2 months in New-Zealand on a great holiday. We explored both islands and just like everyone else we loved it. Apart from all the major attractions (roturua, tongariro, abel tasman, the glaciers, the fjords and so much more) we also tried to do some caches in order to discover even more of the country. We spend two great days in the Abel Tasman national park and today we walked to Skinner point. It was a beautiful walk with a perfect viewpoint at Skinner point. The cache took us a while to find, but once we spotted it, the hiding place was (of course) very obvious. Great hide at a great spot!

During our nearly two month holiday in New Zealand we spend time on both the northern and southern island. Both islands happened to be very beautiful, each in its own way. Together with Ninagustein we searched for many caches, as we think it is a great way of discovering the country. Numerous caches get you to places you otherwise wouldn't have visited and it is also fun to find caches at touristic places. On this day we went to the northern part of Abel Tasman national park for a hike. From the parking we went to this well hidden cache. We walked further and took the way back over the beach. We saw a dead shark and a puffer (blowfish) there.

Visited the Abel Tasman National Park today - this was my treat after a couple of hours of hiking along the track and relaxing on the amazing beaches. It was a nice and quick find with a little force needed to remove the cap. TFTC and greetings from Germany
Out for a sunday morning drive over the hill to a different world.
Walked down the track to make the find.
Nice hide.
And then went for a walk on the beach to enjoy the view.

End removed and replaced a little less firmly.
I will be preforming my yearly maintenance on this cache in February. Please try to avoid putting the cap all the way in until then. I will sand it down in February for a lighter fit. I will be assessing tails as well.
The plan was to hike the Abel Tasman Track, but not the normal way, just backwards. So starting at Totaranui, going to Whariwharangi, to Awaroa, to Anchorage and back to the parking lot. Went great.
Quick and well found along the way.
So far seen on this trip: Thailand and New Zealand.
