This weekend we are participating in 'The Great Victorian Cache Crawl' this was one of the caches that we choose to stop at due to the reason for the cache being placed here. SL TFTC
Something special or unusual goes here:Day Two - Kaniva to Sunbury.A surprising quick find for us looking at the previous DNFs The Generic Bit:The 2024 Geocaching Victoria Event Crawl: Day Two - Kaniva to Sunbury. Two days of traveling over from S.A. and three days of Events, numerous Adventure Labs, lots of fun, mishaps, and even a few caches found as we crawled around in search of smilies. My companions for the Crawl were Muff1. So Good to catch up with lots of caching friends. [:X]***Thanks The 2 Wanderers for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Not sure it was in the tree that was recently replaced but unable to find it in the rain

Out on International Geocaching Day.
Following the trail of events across the state.
5am start for me let's see what time I get home.
A lot planned as I'm hunting down 11 GC icons along the days travels.
A nice quick grab while passing by.

I had a number of plans for today's geocaching run. They included :-
20 caches in Macedon Ranges LGA.
12+ caches in Moorabool LGA.
12+ caches in Melton LGA.
CITO, Event and Tree Attribute in new LGA.
2002 old geocache.
And most importantly - Geodetic Survey Way Point.
Not sure about Melton & Moorabool LGA numbers, will have to recheck LGA borders but had a great day with 41 finds in total, in lots of different environments. Highlight would have to be Mt Macedon.
Took too long to spot even though the coordinates were absolutely correct.
Thanks for the cache The 2 Wanderers

It seems strange that I'm having a "caching day", yet am only writing my first log at 1:00 in the avo.
Nonetheless, a worthy stop. Thanks heaps for the cache, and for remembering them.

Nice quick easy find will Will log on a blank calendar day. Very well done Someone has now come up with a bright idea to go and do the Ballarat Geo tour see how we go on how many caches on our way there️
Chook was on her way to Gisborne today, and decided to go this route instead of Bullengarook. A quick find of this monument-less cache. Went up the road afterwards to see the monument in its new place. All is good at GZ. Greetings to you both, from both of us.
A quick drive by for this one, thanks
The Trip
I think the stars have finally aligned for a two night trip, caching and camping along the Great Dividing Range. It seems that every time i have planned a caching trip in the last six months something has come up to thwart my plans or cut my trip short. I have high hopes that this week it will be perfect.
I started at Moorabool Reservoir and will be collecting caches from there in the direction of Riddells Creek although i have a lot to find so am unlikely to make it that far. The weather is glorious and there is a cool lilt in the air which makes for a pleasant change from home, and the shady forests are vibrant.
Champagne caching!

Taking the slightly scenic drive back from a bike ride to enjoy the autumn colours on Macedon's Avenue of Honour, I found myself on another Avenue of Honour... for a quick smiley.
Thanks for highlighting this memorial stretch of road, The 2 Wanderers

We just love this spot as a place for lunch, we had a cache here for a while. Nice to see the memorial finally open. We gathered the necessary information and after a short walk we found the cache just where the co-ords were pointing
TNLNSL, thanks The 2 Wanderers

I found this geocache during a cycling weekend in Victoria.
I didn't cycle to teh geocache but did do a 142km bike ride through the Otway ranges and along the great ocean road, geocaching on my way to and then from there from South Australia.
Thanks for an amazing geocaching experiance.

Log a bit damp, appears to have lost it’s’O’ ring seal. Right where it should be, but a bit sneaky. T4TC
Out with Omegaman1971 for our last big days caching of 2020, We decided to head out West to what I call the western waste lands, sure is dry out here compared to where I live in Gippsland. We had a great day out doing some great caches and most were decent size containers or novel hides. We all so did three lab caches in the area.
This was one of the caches we did on our travels. Nice hise on this one.
Thanks The 2 Wanderers for the cache.

Today Fleabag- wanted to find his 6,000th cache with me before he headed off on a work trip so a lofty goal of 74 caches was needed but we got there even though 3 caches into the day the low pressure tyre warning flashed up on the dashboard and we had a slow leaking flat tyre. We mucked around for way too long trying to work out how to change it. It was on the drivers side too ... the wheel that wasn't pulling off onto the side of the road all the time?? I haven't had a flat tyre for probably 20+ years and RACV changed that last one. So for the rest of the day the paranoia of having another flat was hanging over my head and occasionally with the non alloy spare wheel the tyre pressure sensor failure message starting coming up on the dashboard instead. We made it though without another flat on a LOT of gravel roads that Fleabag- managed to keep finding.
Stopped at this random roadside location and I was on to this pretty quickly.
Thanks The 2 Wanderers for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Started the day needing 74 more for my 6000. And my awesome geobuddy was the person I wanted to share this with. The cache is not that important, it's the adventure. So off we went heading north with a mission. And probably lots of maccas.
Quickly found.
Thanks to The 2 Wanderers for the placement and fun.

We set out this morning for a caching run with ilook4geo and tried to cover a variety of cache types, various sizes and caches of particular interest. We found this cache while heading towards Ballarat for a fun day. Thanks go to The 2 Wanderers for placing and maintaining this cache.
Out for the day on a cache hunt with goingplaces2. We found a total of 42 for the day and had a lot of fun. This was one of the ones we found and signed. TFTC.
15 November 2019 2:57 pm nice little quick one on my way home from the daughters...had to be quick as my frozen stuff might melt...lol!
Found on 17/09/19 Got visited by a horse checking out my suspicious behaviour
Sims_family Mum, Dad and 4 of our 8 children were heading to Gisborne to pick up some new family pets (Stick Insects) to add to the menagerie that we already have. We were a little early so a slight detour and a cache or two was included to help pass the time.
A quick find here once we hopped over the pools of water from all the recent rains.
Thank you The 2 Wanderers for the hide and smiley
