Nothing like a walk through a beautiful forest filled with magnificent trees to start the day. Thanks for the adventure.
What a nice spot at the point! Came across a guy photographing birds. Enjoying two weeks on Norfolk Island always wanted to visit, now Im here! And theres caches of course! Beautiful place, thank you endeavour3 for placing this game piece here, showcasing this lovely area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Found with David343 on 10/9 however unable to log due to account access on NI. A great walk to Rocky Point. TFTC
Magnificent stroll through untouched forest. Beautiful coastal cliffs. Very clear water. Tftc
Copying Christopher Columbus we circumnavigated Rocky Point. I am not sure Christopher found what he was looking for, but I sure did.TFTC endeavour3
Found it with goingplaces2 & ilook4geo while on a 7 day epic trip with 33 other caches exploring this beautiful Island. Thanks to the CO for the cache.
We spent a fun and productive week geocaching on Norfolk Island, as well as seeing the spectacular views. We also did several tours and other activities on offer, which highlighted different aspects of the island life and history. Thanks for this cache.
Found during a week of geocaching on Norfolk Island with GeoMates. It was a successful week and an adventurous one. Thanks go to endeavour3 for placing this cache.

Thanks for the hint! The view from the cliff edge was spectacular! Thanks for placing a cache here.
My buddies: bella at waggyNorfolk is gorgeous! The view is stunning!! We also spotted a muttonbird chilling nearby! The cliff edge is scary but beautiful! The cache was easily spotted!Thank you endeavour3, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
I have had the Hundred Acre Reserve recommended to me by several friends who have previously visited Norfolk. Unfortunately the season isn't right for many birds but I did see a couple of special one's, Noddy's and Tropicbirds, along the coastline and very close too. I could hear lots of birds in the trees but boy are they hard to spot! It was a lovely walk down to GZ with yet another fantastic vantage point. The generous hint made for a quick find, mind you, you had to be on the right side to reach it.Wish I'd walked right to the end but there were other caches calling us and being vertically challenged I take smaller steps and am slower uphill so I had to go with the troops. Next time!Favourite point - beautiful reserve and views, and birds. TFTC # 6033
Headed to the 100 acre wood area with ADI to head to Rocky Point. Crossed paths with Crash and Harveyt a few times in this great forest and views at the end. A quick find and even spotted a baby tropic bird. We completed the signing duties and re hid, TFTC
OCW frazeydaze and WaywardWoman. A lovely walk out to the point with the mutton birds screeching overhead in the trees. Cache in good condition. SLTN and returned as found. TFTC
#7600 NI Day #4Having rounded up all the caches around the Cascades area earlier in the morning, it was time to work our way up the west coast. Our next target in the 100 acre woods was rocky point. We could hear the waves crashing well before we could see them. But signing duties came first, followed by soaking in some more coastal views.TFTC endeavour3
#7477- My last for the day. A lovely walk through the forested area down to this one. It was an easy find at the end in an obvious place with spot on coords. Going down gave my no knee cap leg a bit of pressure, and coming back up was a bit of aerobic exercise for me, but I stopped when I needed to. Others with no knee issues will have no issues. Thanks
We enjoyed our morning walk around this reserve. Good coords and a nice little cache found. Thanks endeavour3.
Great views here. Having an awesome time geocaching on NI with friends. My first organised Geotravel holiday. ?? TFTC endeavour3
Amazing location with views to match. Found with ItsDozzie, Ziggyau, Everest High, Tardis, Max Adventurer and Brewmaker. Gets a FP.Thanks for placing this cache endeavour3.
Thankful for the stairs as youd roll straight into the sea off the cliff otherwise. Its another amazing view of the coastline and worth the walk.
#14382 16:14The second day of Geo Adventure 2024 with a group of 30+ geocachers visiting Norfolk Island. Roaming around the island for a few days, a smaller group decided to tackle some caches in the South West first.Together with 4Rods, Ziggau, Everest High, Tardis, Max Adventurer and Brewmaker this cache was found.Another beautiful spot with jawdropping views. The coastline is so different compared to Kingston area. I was excited to see some Tasman Boobies first hand, but failed to do so.TFTC Endeavour3.
This was my favourite cache location. Thanks so much for pointing this out. No problem finding the cache. I did the loop walk and was so excited to see so many sea birds. None fearful of humans. Lots of Black Noddies and Red Tailed Tropic birds, inluding a gorgous chick, who told me quite loudly that I was not mum. The Wedgetailed shearwaters were flying over head but I could spot any on the ground. Fantastic walk.
Day 5 of my Norfolk Island adventure. I can understand why people want to live here . Its a little bit of paradise. Wow so much history on the island, Im enjoying my wandering seeing the sites . So I was invited to go and see some illuminating mushrooms in the dark in the 100 year Forrest and this cache was on the way. So I found it with the group that came and they found their first bit of pirate treasure .Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 12119find.Thankyou endeavour3 for placing and maintaining this cache
I'd been trying to get down to 100 Acre Reserve all week, and finally got there this afternoon. What an amazing place. I went on my own, which meant I could spend as much time as I liked watching the birds -- especially the white-capped noddies and white terns nesting up in the heights of the Norfolk Pines and the red-tailed tropicbirds on the sea cliffs. With all three swooping and circling through the air above the waves and through the treetops, it was majestic. Of course I scooped up the cache as well, my final one for today. (Unless I manage one or two tomorrow before leaving the island, it could be the last Norfolk cache I'll be collecting. Time will tell.) A FP for the location. Thanks endeavour3 for all your caches and labs I've found over the past week, and maintaining all the extra ones too. Best wishes from Melbourne.
T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge Today we had a leisurely start with a visit to the Show followed by a wander through town and a coffee at our favourite cafe. The plan for the rest of the day is to visit Bombora Beach, Crystal Pool, 100 Acre Wood, Headstone Point and St Barnabas Church, gathering caches along the way.Loved being in the 100 Acre Reserve. The hint made for a quick find. TFTC, endeavour3.
Over with IolantheK from Brisbane celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary [^]Out for another day of caching up the west side of the island.Nice easy find, cache in good condition [^]TFTC endeavour3

My wife and I spent a wonderful week on the Island - the first time for me (but hopefully not the last) and the second for her. Such a delightful place! I took my GPSr, with the traditionals downloaded (I don't really make the time to do puzzles or multis) and figured I would find a few as we went around the place. I never had any intention of finding all 41 of them, but somewhere around day 5 I realised it was actually feasible.
In the end it was a close call - one quite tough-to-get-to cache (Bird Island) I had to visit twice after not reading the description before my first visit and discovering it is really a multi and then stuffing up the calculations so I had an almost blind search for the cache; another (St Barnabas) was out of its hidey hole so took three visits before I found it among some fallen leaves nearby). But I got there and managed to claim them all.
In the interests of saving the limited data on my phone, I only look placeholder drafts during the week and am completing them back home, a month later. So with all due apologies, they are going to be pretty generic for the most part. But I will add comments about those that I particularly remember. No matter how detailed the final logs, I want to say a big thanks to those who have placed the caches and those who continue to maintain them. I had great fun finding them and they really helped make sure I saw as much of the Island as possible. So - a big and sincere TFTC

Enjoying a stroll around the woods with Mrs. Gunnie, I paused briefly to grab this one as we passed by. One of two sides to choose for the hunt, naturally I opted for the incorrect side at first. No cache to be found... Of course.
A correction of the error soon offered up what I was looking for and I had the log out, my name added and the container replaced in no time at all. Just in time for some muggles to approach from the surrounding greenery.
Thanks for the cache endeavour3.

On another day of island touring via geocaching. Thank you for bringing us to this location. The walk and breeze was so very refreshing. TFTC
Made the walk out here, and was presented with some spectacular views and epic seas. The cache itself is in an elite container! I like these. We did the loop, and made this the last for this trip, heading back quite tired. Thanks for the cache.
Ktbrwn1 and Just_Jess! led the search for this one, only for our accompanying muggle to find it. Stunning spot. TFTC
With the aid of the hint, found this pretty quickly.
We enjoyed having this wood to ourselves and discovering the nesting birds.
Thanks.for giving us more reason to stop and soak it in.

Found on return after looking at the glowing mushrooms and the "Ghostbirds" (Shearwaters). Didn't have a pen, so took a photo if CO needs evidence. I will hope to get back to sign.
With wazza9 doing the walk in 100 acres a lovely reserve. The cache was well hidden, wazza9 found it, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to endeavour3.
TFTC,
Day 6 on the Island and back into some walking to caches. Our first area is to walk the loop track within 100 Acres.
What an amazing location. A great walk views, visited trackables and added a favourite.

On 15 October 2022 a new batch of prisoners were shipped out of Brisbane to spend 7 days incarcerated on Norfolk Island. It has now been 3 nights and 4 days into their sentence at Ocean Breeze Cottages.
The prisoners have made several unsuccessful attempts to find escape routes from the Island. This morning they were surveying the western parts of the Island.
The prisoner made his way down to the place hoping this south west corner of the Island would provide a quick route to Australia. As the winds blew in his face he could smell the stench coming from the Goal in Van Demons Land.
There was enough sawn timer here to build a suitable boat, things look promising at last. However once more his hopes were dashed - there would be no safe launch point form this Rocky Point.

Fantastic walk! Managed to get a photo of a sleeping red tail tropic bird! Tftc!
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Time to head to Norfolk Island to celabrate our 70th birthdays. When we were here before we were not geocachers, this visit will be spent gathering geocaches and revisiting our favourite places. Our appologies for the generic logs it does not take away the enjoyment we have found in the fantastic places they have been placed and all the different styles of caches that we are enjoying,

Advised by fellow hikers that the track is treacherous, give this one a miss for today.
Nice find, with breath taking views, with a few sea birds as an added bonus… Masked Booby, Red-tailed Tropic Bird and White Tern.

Found while heading over with the family to get some lunch over near Anson Bay, got quite a few caches and also BUCKETED down on with rain, despite the rain we still had an amazing time in this beautiful area.
Walked down here after finishing the triffids multi, really nice walk through hundred acres reserve even though its really wet, resulting in some very slippery, clay-ey areas throughout the journey. Once we arrived at GZ we made a quick find.
TFTC endeavour3, FP for the really cool spot!

With the Se Dun challenge in mind, we set off to clean up the west coast this morning, before a lunch at Anson Bay. The weather started off good, but soon the grey rolled in, then a few scattered showers, then some steady rain, so we ended up wet, but with 18 finds for the morning.
What a nice walk, and a great area. It was slippery as anything on the way down, we saw some landcare people struggling up one of the slopes on our way down. A helpful hint gave a quick find at GZ, and we were off to a puzzle. TFTC!

We teamed up this afternoon to do a bit of caching with Richmond Lad, Joojoo57 and the CO. What a pleasant walk this was… right to the very end. But first we stopped to grab the cache (hint was spot on - thank you ) and we all signed the log.
We then continued to the end of the path to watch the birds soaring and some seemingly to just float above us. For the first time we saw tropicbirds… lots of them and looking rather special with their long, thin, red tail feathers trailing behind them. What a treat!
Thank you for the cache and showing us this beaut spot. Fave Point from us.

Out caching with joojoo57, 2 Wagtails and endeavour 3 on an overcast afternoon on Norfolk Island. We did 3 caches in this area which took us through the bush along tracks until we came to a lookout with great views. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
This afternoon we ventured out after lunch to grab a few more caches along the headlands and coastline. Fantastic scenery was in abundance and while at the 100 acre reserve we observed some noisy birdlife. Thanks for placing a cache in this area.
After discussion with CO, it was agreed we had the right spot, and he will replace shortly. So cache marked as find

Sort of, it had gone missing but confirmed with Duncan that we were looking in the correct spot - thanks!
Nice easy find after the nice walk down... now the sweaty walk back up! GrEat area though and a number of people out enjoying it and all the birds that are here.
Trip log: Norfolk Island... Not something we had been planning to do but with GreyHams noticing travel here was starting up again, a good deal on flights and that this would count as a new caching 'country' this was indeed a very tempting location to visit.
Puzzles were solved, our double vaccinations certificates ready to go. A last minute change in the entry requirements added our PCR tests... but we arrived.
We had a challenge to collect as many of the caches as we could in the 48 hours we would be on the Island... A caching trip, but one that guided us around into every hidden gem the Island had to offer. All its beauty, history, scenic and quirky... and moisture! Humidity that sucked the energy out of every pore as we sweated our way about, but it was awesome!
An event the first evening was fantastic to meet with endeavour3, a wealth of local knowledge and assistance... both caching and the local area. It was great to confirm details, amend as needed and with a few DNFs help us back on track.
An honourable mention to the cows, especially the one that licked all over the car, the feral chickens (but not the roosters that wake up far to early and noisily) and the very friendly waving people everywhere we went!
Thanks for your cache that helped guide us about, and can all the caches be found within 48 hours... I'm very pleased to say that yes we could!

Aquilus1 and myself were on a mission: Go to Norfolk Island and clear the place out in 48 hours! This we achieved as we arrived well prepared, having ground out the puzzles (some with assistance) so that we had coords for nearly all hides before leaving Australia.
Brain tickler test & vaccination certificates in hand, we were shocked on arrival that our Australian mobiles had no roaming coverage....NONE! But, thankfully it seems most accommodation not only comes with a car, but comes with a phone as well.
I swear we did at least 5 laps of the island, I knew my way around very well by the end. NI is such a beautiful place, I am coming back with the family in a month and I already know exactly where I will take them.
On our first day we hosted an event and thankfully the local legend cacher, endeavour3, graced us with his presence. Some sage advice on the trickiest of NI hides was gladly received
And, it has to be said......OMG THE HUMIDITY!!! Canberra has none at all, it was a major shock to the system!

It's a windy day out here but that added to the fun! Nice cache and cool views, plus a great walk; it's an FP from me. Tftc.
After making my way slowly up from previous cache we headed down to this one. By this time I was feeling some pain in my knee after earlier tripping on a tree root. Still managed to make it back up the hill to the car albeit slowly after this cache.
