I cannot see any information that suggests to me that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement - one or more of the following applies:
- Cache Owner unable to maintain cache
- No response from the cache owner.
- No cache to find or log to sign.
- It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
- Cache has been abandoned by cache owner/cache in disrepair
As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to also prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email and include GC number in cache name) and, assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.
If there are components or remnants of the cache and you haven't already done so, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Geotrash.
Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Awesome find. Never knew about some of these places and lived here all my life. Tftc
Quickly found and enjoyed the tranquility of the birds for a few moments before the roadworks up the hill started. Left a travel bug. Tftc
Geohubby had a seminar in town this afternoon and was catching the train from Melbourne after spending the morning at work. This of course would have meant a rather long walk home, so I decided to be magnanimous and offer him a lift home...to Geelong...which of course meant that I had the perfect excuse to spend the afternoon caching before he finished .
The weather wasn't exactly what I'd ordered, but it wasn't as wet as last time and the forecast snow hadn't arrived as yet so after a bracing coffee, I headed out.
Find number six. A bit of a scramble up to this one then a quick find and a read of the plaque....just as the weather began to turn again...
Thanks lionjrb !

Ballarat was our next stop on our meandering route from Adelaide to Melbourne to catch the boat back to Tassie. We spent a day caching in the area.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks lionjrb for the cache.

After being in Ballarat last w/e for Pi Day I decided to return but this time with the mountain bike to grab some of the various creek caches and other trail guys not that I mind walking but this seemed a better option.
Parked close to the very interesting sign and then a short stroll to find this guy.
Thanks lionjrb for placing this cache.

A long day passed, we spent the whole day at the mines and it was a wonderful day till now!!
Thank you for showing this special place, because it was a very important start for this area and a part of the world like for the Chinese diggerd, but you rarely can read about this place.
So Geocaching shows again, that it's not all time just a game, it helps us learn more around us...
Thank you,
Come2gether

Couldn't drive past this without stopping. It was a nice feeling standing where the first gold in Ballarat was found. Pity I didn't find any more there but I did win a smilie.

An interesting little point. Had to wait a little bit while a muggle slowly ambled around GZ taking photos. Once they left, we soon had the cache in hand.

Find # 1850 @ 1947 H
Found with sharkiefan
Spending the weekend in Ballarat, decisions were made to hit the Buninyong area and see how many smilies we could rack up.
After the hot day we had a rest and then grabbed a couple more on the way to get tea.
the trees were giving me a false reading but something caught my eye that didn't seem to be fitting of the area. woo hoo another one down

We're off to the moon with our space shuttle, taken in exchange for a thong! TFTC Nice area for GeoMum to rest her weary bones
After being offered a weekend caching to and from Ballarat with Tounga and Moneydork, how could I refuse[?]
Sushilord joined us too and for 3 days we laughed and cached and laughed and cached until we could cache no more. [|)]
As for the topics of conversation, apparently mirth, maniacal murder and mayhem were the common themes for the weekend along with a few other topics
My total for a great weekend was 1 event attended in Ballarat , 113 cache finds 7 DNFs and a FTF as I wound my way home, alone, in the early morning
Interesting monument and a quick find after a great walk, this is what makes caching so cool!

Found on the weekend attack on Mexican caches by a couple of Kiwis and a couple of Aussies, surprisingly there were no slayings although we talked a lot about maniacal murders along the way.
We were passing through hitting next closest, thanks lionjrb.

We walked the Canadian Creek Trail from the Chinese Miners Memorial. Quite a lovely little walk. Thanks for the caches.
Found on a fantastic weekend away with Moneydork (Hero Husband), Locus Cache and Sushilord. It was not a quiet trip but oh so worth it! Lots of caching, lots of laughter and finally some sleep thrown in when we just couldn't carry on!
Thanks for your cache and helping make our weekend so great.

Great little spot... wouldn't have known this place existed if it wasnt for this cache
Found a cache in this general area on about the 9th of September with maybe LumpyJRB. This has got to be the silliest monument for something serious I have ever seen. I wonder if it was worded by a committee.... Cache is in good order. Thanks for bringing me here LionJRB.
Wow I would not have known this historical marker was here. It's amazing the things you see when your out geocaching. Thank you for bring us to this location.

Suscoe's 14th find of 24 for today as we wandered the streets of Ballarat in the company of the sister.
It was a delightful day with pleasant sunshine but a steady breeze that got a bit keen at times.
A nice stroll and a quick find.
Thanks to lionjrb for placing this cache here.
