As this has disapeared twice from this location now, I am not going to replace it. I will place a new one a little ways away soon.
Spent 30 minutes looking for this one. Moved a lot of metal looking and gave up. This was a costly excursion as a lens of my glasses fell out and I could not find that either.
Got home to log and noticed that it had been disabled after I had loaded it onto my GPS.

Another look - that I would consider pretty exhaustive - and no joy. I've let TE know he might want to check this one out.
Headed over after making a find on derailed. Checked the obvious spot, but unless the autumn leaves are providing a lot of extra cover, this one may have walked.
I felt a bit bummed about not finding this one. After finding Tired Tankengines I wandered through the wasteland, sending bunnies, kangaroos and wallabies scattering. Past the colourful but noxious berries and spring blossoms and a detour to check out the wrecked car.
From there I found what seemed like the obvious GZ, which matched with the hint. Lots of poking around, but no cache was found. Perhaps I didn't poke enough, perhaps being in office clothes meant I didn't quite get my angles right, maybe it wasn't quite as obvious as I thought. Hmmm... looks like I'll have to come back to this fascinating area. Oh well, a good excuse for another bird photography visit.

Only a few hundred metres from the Tired Tankengines, so we wandered on and were glad that we did because that's when we realised the Railway Society's rail motor was doing its Sunday trips. So at this point I lost Mrs Winglen who was completely distracted!
It is indeed a wasteland of old building materials and car bodies in here. Nonetheless we enjoyed the wander and loved the hiding spot. Thanks Tankengine.

Found on our walk of the wetlands, the 9 year old loved this hide but soon got distracted by some local bunnies. TFTC
This area is indeed neglected. Lots of Cotoneaster, blackberries and other weeds.
But we found an old apple tree just as we were starting to get hungry.
We also saw bunnies, a hare and a very old kangaroo.
The kangaroo was so old he couldn't see or hear very well - pic attached.
He's found a nice spot to live out his days in the green patch by the water downhill from GZ.
I loved the use of local materials for this cache thanks Tankengine

Another cache done during work hours. Nice walk through the apocalyptic waste lands to the cache and an easy find. Happy I didn't try and drive in as a nearby car (see image) looked a bit worse for wear. TFTC
Today was a great afternoon to look for some GCs. I've been looking at this area for months and finally got here. My goodness - 3 TE caches in one hour. That's a first for me. Thanks TE
Yep, this is a wasteland. Good bit of a walk though through the backblocks. TFTC.

Came to the wetlands to nail another Tankengine cache. Wandered in past a car body, lots of abandoned wheels and lots of scurrying rabbits. Found GZ quickly enough and was happy to have not had any Velcro across the face on the way in. Soon hand the well placed cache in hand.
Just as I finished signing the log, the train to Sydney zoomed past, perfect timing!
Thanks for the bringing me here Tankengine!
Cheers

Found 21.02.2015 while over this way collecting some gear for scouts. Interesting container.
My apologies for the late log. I found a list that I had neglected to enter.
Thanks for the hunt and the cache.

Crystal Warrior and I wandered in to find this cache today. On the way we passed a plum tree with ripe plums. What a bonus. Soon there will be blackberries! Thanks Tankengine to the cache and fruit!
Finally managed some time to get out caching again. Cleaned out all my unfound caches in this area. Nice walk in and a good hide. TFTC
Mtrx and I couldn't find this one ... it's gone, as Mtrax confirmed with Tankengine. Thanks, TE. Nice walk. We found the outer container and the pencil, but nothing else.
We were out with the family for Fathers Day lunch in Kingston and decided to collect this as it was the closest to us in that area. We scanned the map for the best access point and had a short walk to GZ.
Quick grab, then back along the track to the geomobile.

Caching plans for the afternoon got derailed by a lost dog (or a found one, depending on your perspective) and so we found ourselves having lunch at the Fyshwick markets.
We came over here from derailed and went down the wrong path then through some prickles and found the road. I walked straight past GZ because my GPS wanted me to go on even though the location matched the clue.
Then BatGirl saw that and reckoned it was right and sure enough, coming at it from the other direction I could plainly see the container.
Thanks TE. Saw fox in here.

How to turn a Terrain 2 cache into something harder is a course I instruct. I am REALLY good at this sort of thing (as those who have cached with me may attest to). Approaching from derailed we took the low road when we should have taken the high road meaning the approach to GZ included pushing through quite a bit of scrub and crawling around on my hands and knees at one point. Of course we found the easy way OUT (one always does).
Great day out for caching with Everlasting & skyejam - enjoyed this area. Thanks for bringing us here ★★★
Enjoyed wander along to the GZ and loved your container and hide spot... plenty red and orange berries everywhere... Signed the log with sevabo and skyejam. Thanks Tankengine
Well, today was the first real day of caching for my holidays and I enjoyed a pleasant ride around the lake. 37 finds and 10 DNFs! This was the ninth find of the day. I was worried about going into this area, as it very isolated and I was by myself. There were also some workers back near the start of the trail who didn't prove to be a problem (YET!). A quick find at GZ once there and I was back on my bike very quickly. TFTC Tankengine!
3493. A nice little stroll to this one from derailed on my way home from work. This one showed up rather quickly and then it was back to the car.
Thanks TE for the cache and the stroll in this interesting area.

Everything was a bit damp out this morning, but I had a list to get done and this was first. This was another nice area to explore, but I do wonder why motorbikes are allowed out here when everything is so wet from the rain. Thanks.

Friday 27 June 2014 - another cold breezy winter's day with the sun struggling to squeeze through the fluffy white and grey clouds. Another afternoon stroll to exercise while there's still reasonable weather before the rain starts again. Smart and fun hide. Thx p2p. TFTC.
Approached it from the wrong direction but a quick find in the end. Easier track on the return. TFTC Tankengine.
Found @ 4:19pm with Shadow!
How do you find these random spots Tankengine?! Love where the cache was hidden (was that already there??). This spot was actually quite peaceful and a good one to finish on.
Thanks Tankengine!

out on a winter's afternoon with allrounder...cool hide in the random spot....TFTC
Interesting walk into this area, and a nice spot at GZ. Who knows what was once here.
Looked around a bit, then found the clever hide.
Thanks for bringing me out here.

Grabbed with fitzy at lunchtime..
Walked in past a derailed cache and once at the right level, the cache was soon spotted.
Wastelands......yep, I'd agree with that....
Thanks TE...another down.....

I struggled with satellites close to GZ but managed in the end. An unexpected hide which gets a favourite point from me. Thanks for the cache Tankengine.
Had a nice stroll from the nearby streets and soon found GZ.
A quick spot of something different soon the revealed a clever hide.
A favourite tick for the sneaky hide.
Many thanks to Tankengine.

A night time adventure to this one. Lots of muggle activity from the nearby businesses but after a short walk the muggles were left behind. Narrowing in on GZ miss Stormcatcher spotted something but thought surely not and quickly searched for alternatives before coming back and finding the cache. Loved this little hidden patch, still amazes us how you find these gems. Thanks TE

A nice walk in the wetlands found me this cache. Love the cache hide. A favourite tick. I dropped off TB 'Razzle Racoon' to live here among the autumn leaves for awhile. TFTC.
Thanks for the introduction to this interesting backwater Tank Engine. We thoroughly enjoyed our ride!
And the final of the trilogy of the Wetlands wander today. Errrrrr, interesting "pile". I wonder whether SDL will get any ideas from this for the next in his "Love em or hate em" series ? With my soggy shoes and socks, I then continued my walk back to the Wetlands carpark where there was a huge ummm gaggle of birdwatchers gathering.
Damn! Had we been earlier we would have inadvertently FTFd this one! Nice area. TFTC
We are the champions! FTF @ 9:10am.
Was just about to walk out the door to go caching around the Jerrabomberra Wetlands, when this popped out. We had a huge chance, considering that a cacher's FTF dream was also published down in Namadgi. So a quick drive to the carpark, which we haven't been to before. This was a fantastic walking path, across the railway tracks and by the river. After going through prickles to GZ, we were amazed at the location that you found TE. How do you find these!?!? It was a great spot to visit. A quick find once there, to find a clean log sheet at the front of the book. Fantastic hiding place. TNLNSL. TFTC TE!
