I honestly don't think I've ever paid much attention to the wagon and I drive this stretch of road a lot. It's looking a bit dilapidated now, which makes it more interesting, I think. Thanks for bringing me here, and a quick find made it even better!
Day 2 of my three day weekend camping and geocaching around Murray Bridge.
Today I concentrated on the area between Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend.
An enjoyable day with lots of great caches.

On a road trip to SA from Melbourne, we needed a cache which was a certain distance from home for a challenge cache and this one fit the bill. It had been raining on and off ever since we had left Bordertown, but stopped just in time again for us to find this one!! Cache was a nice easy find. Loved the old wagon and got some nice photos

This long weekend, I headed to the Limestone Coast / south-east to participate in the mini/unofficial Millicent GeoVenture2020 Mega weekend (Community Celebration event), as well as some cave diving in the morning to early afternoons. Saturday afternoon consisted of a trip around Tantanoola's pine forests, Sunday was more east around Mount Gambier and those pine forests, and then Monday was heading back spending some time in Dismal Swamp. A weekend of mixed weather with some nice afternoons, as well as continuous rain and drizzles (typical south-east weather?).
This evening, it was about the drive down from Adelaide to Glencoe. The only highlight was the dinner stop in Tailem Bend at the organised geocaching event.
This was a quick stop today, and my first geocache of the day. A cool little sight. I reckon I’ve driven past this so many times and always meant to stop, and with a small amount of extra time today before the event, then it felt like today was as good as any other day. I was looking initially around the wagon trying to find this cache, but after eventually stepping back, it turned out to be a much easier hide. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Moneydork / Trigger_Fish / TriggerFish for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today Erine14 and I went for a drive out to Tailem Bend and Beyond. We found some of the Wandering Heroes series - including the ones named for each of us! We also completed the May OTD series except for 2 DNFs, and found a few other caches. We had a great day out with 60 find in total. Erin found her 2000th cache, and I found my 1900th! Thanks for the Cache!
Today’s adventure saw us getting a breakfast pie in Strath before heading to Tailem Bend. The aim was to find our Wandering Hero caches that CP put out earlier this year. I was also aiming to reach 2000 finds which I achieved! We completed some of the Wandering Hero’s and OTD May series before heading back towards home and finding a few lonely random caches along the way. It was fabulous weather and apart from the mosquitos we had a lovely day. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches for our enjoyment
Ducked into town for a few items at the shops and just managed to find a few caches before and during the pouring rain! The CP park manager told us it doesnt rain in Murray Bridge! WRONG.
Cache was broken so we swapped it out. New logsheet in place.

Well... That was fun. Shot past GZ turn off by a 115mtrs so went backwards on the opposite part of the freeway to get to the turnoff. Nothing in the rear vision so all good to go... Collected a stray sign and decided it was time to walk the rest of the way. One way never will look the same again.

Interesting bit of history here.
A big weekend away down to the south east of the state, the major focus was to par take in the 100mile (160km) cycle classic around mount gambier on the Saturday. Along he way as always there and back I collected a few caches (near 100 on my round trip)

Once at Ground Zero the cache was quickly found. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache at this old wagon and greetings from Zimbabwe
TFTC. After setting up camp in Tailem Bend we headed out toward Murray Bridge to pick up some groceries. Along the way we stopped to find some of the caches along the highway. Interesting relic of the past. Interesting what people put in their yards or is that leave derelict?
